This writing aims to analyze the sociological aspects of multicultural Islamic religious education. Multicultural Islamic religious education is a solution to the plurality of Indonesian society in accordance with the democratic principles adopted by the Indonesian nation. Multicultural Islamic religious education is an important aspect in building the nation's next generation. Sociological aspects in multicultural Islamic religious education are fundamentally reflected by the existence of conducive cooperation between Islamic religious education in the family, school and community environment, good educational control will be realized. In a sociological context, the family is the first and foremost institution known to children. In this case, his parents are the first to be known and provide educational values. Then the school environment, the school at this time is a need for everyone to get an education from school. Schools in this case have two important aspects, namely individual aspects and social aspects. On the one hand, schools are tasked with influencing and creating conditions that allow optimal development. Furthermore, the community environment, a diverse society such as in Indonesia often creates the potential for friction or even conflict. Therefore, differences are a necessity in a pluralistic society. Differences must be accepted as a necessity. Such acceptance will lead to people's attitudes that can accept existing differences. This is what will produce students who have good morals, who will not only make their parents and teachers proud, but also the community as users of educational outcomes.

The family is an institution of God Himself (Genesis 2:18-25) aside from the church (Matthew 16:18) obtaining a glorious mandate through God's family to want the birth of Divine offspring (Malachi 2:15), which is a God-fearing and living in its prescribed streets. To achieve the above goal, a Christian Religious  Education of faith became something very important. But unfortunately there are Christian families who are unaware of this and are shifting this glorious mandate to the church through sunday school teachers or transferring it to school (through Christian religious teachers). The writer assesses this distraction on the one hand as a parent's misunderstanding of the mandate or on the other hand because of the parents' inability to handle it. The method the writer uses is a descriptive qualitative with a library approach. The writer tapped relevant resources from the bible, books and journals. Starting with a general understanding and juridis about the family, the Biblical basis of the family and its calling, the family's responsibility for Christian Religious Education and the danger of displacing the function of Christisn Religious Education on the third hand and the writer will eventually conclude that it is important to restore the family's function as a base of Christian Religious Education as well as to accord with scriptural values to be so effective in reaching the goal of bearing Divine offspring.

Education as a process that certainly cannot be separated from social life. Social life in the sphere of education is the Tri Education Center which includes families, schools, and communities. The family as the starting place for education, the school as the second place after the family, and finally students are able to adjust to the community environment according to the directions obtained from the family and school environment which is supported by fostering religious activities. The three of them must work together in order to achieve educational goals. The core of the purpose of education, especially Islamic education is in order to form good morals to students by integrating affective, cognitive, and psychomotor aspects. The three central points of education must be integrated even though the most important is from the family. Reality of pluralism in the contexs of Indonesia on the one hand, is a challenge towards the implementation of Christian Religious Education. However, on the other hand, Christian Religious Education is becoming very essential for Christians to demonstrate the love of God in the midst of society. Christians are always in touch with adherents of other religions, even that kind of relation feels so strong in various areas of life. This problem triggers how the idea of implementing the Christian Education is relevant in the pluralistic context in Indonesia. This study was analyzed using qualitative research methods through library research techniques. Findings showed that, in the pluralistic context, the implementation of Christian Religious Education in Indonesia as an integral part of the mission can be carried out through three aspects, namely: revitalizing the thinking paradigm about pluralism; interpreting the implementation strategy of Christian Religious Education in a pluralistic society; and mainstreaming and buliding the vision and mission of multicultural based Christian Religious Education.
