AbstractThe experiences that young sportsmen and women have throughout their sporting and educational careers are giving meaning and significance to the way in how they, as future professionals in the field of physical activity and sports sciences, are building different conceptions of human motricity. From the focus of biographical narrative research, we delved into the story of Glissade, a student in initial training who has developed her sports career in the world of Rhythmic Gymnastics. The aim of this work is to investigate the representations of the body model and the emotional-relational aspects that constitute the sports identity of this woman and how this is present in her initial training. Glissade´s story brings us closer to two questions: the tensions between her body as a woman and the demands of a sport she plays, both are subject to traditional canons of beauty/aesthetics and the emotional learnings that are present in their sports practice. This work shows the importance of making visible and knowing the experience of people from their own voice, since this allows reflection on beliefs, thoughts and models that persist in the processes of initial training of future professionals in physical education and sport.

ABSTRACT. Evaluation of learning in school physical education: current ways and current challenges. BACKGROUND: Throughout the historical trajectory of physical education teachers have followed different paths and faced numerous challenges to assess student learning. OBJECTIVE: In this sense, this study sought to analyze the paths taken and the challenges that arise for the assessment of student learning over time in the area of school physical education. METHODS: For this, scientific works were consulted and official normative documents of the Brazilian education were analyzed, which allowed to draw conclusions about the subject of study. RESULTS: Initially the teachers walked the quantitative way to evaluate learning, valuing the physical, motor or technical performance. However, over time the qualitative path was also incorporated by teachers, who began to analyze the evolution and participation of students in class. With the paradigmatic and conceptual changes related to assessment, teachers felt the need to modify assessment practices already established and challenged to recognize assessment as one of the constituent elements of the teaching process, as it enables to guide and improve learning. Thus, the selective or classificatory evaluation practices were rethought and the teachers challenged to adopt a formative perspective of evaluation, being an element of reflection on the teaching and learning process for both the teacher and the student. CONCLUSION: The challenges that have been presented over time and still remain today for student assessment require teachers to recognize the need to discuss, reflect and diversify assessment strategies. Therefore, it is necessary to expand the spaces and moments of reflection or exchange of experience on the subject, both in initial training and pedagogical practice, as well as increase scientific production and research on the subject, to strengthen discussions and foster change. evaluative practices of school physical education.

Race walking (RW) is a cyclic athletic discipline, of aerobic character, which is characterized by high intensity and high energy consumption. The result is correlated with the anthropological dimensions of the walker as well as good technical performance. The study includes 25 male students, third year of study, Faculty of Physical Education and Sports in East Sarajevo. For the purposes of the research, the results of RW at 2km (criterion variable) were measured, on the basis of which average values of walking speed (WS) were calculated. The aim of the research was to determine the correlation between the achieved result depending on the walking speed. By applying the Pearson product of the correlation moment, the obtained results confirmed a significant and high correlation between the result and the walking speed (r = -0.988; p<0.05) with an inverse function that confirms the high dependence of the result on the WS.

Article visualizations:

The pre-school period is one of the most crucial periods of a person’s life, in the development of physical health and skills that ensure its improvement, strengthening and preservation in the future. At the same time, the analysis of real practical work in pre-school educational institutions shows that the requirements for the level of physical fitness and the state of health of preschool children are constantly increasing. Physical fitness of children, determined by the level of physical qualities, creates the basis for all motor activity of pre-school students. Development of physical abilities determines the process of improving child’s motor sphere and appears to be the most important component of his health. In the variety of physical education means for pre-school students, rhythmic gymnastics occupies a special place, due to its accessibility, versatility and emotionality. Recently, rhythmic gymnastics is widely used in basic forms of physical education in pre-school institutions. Purposeful rhythmic gymnastics evenly involves in the work of all mus-cle groups, joints, stimulates the activity of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems. To date, a number of studies have been published in which issues of increasing the effectiveness of children’s physical education through the use of rhythmic gymnastics are considered. In the practice of physical education of children of preschool age, rhythmic gymnastics is used quite often. To this day, some organizational and methodic features of the use of rhythmic gymnastics complexes remain open. In a number of publications there are conflicting opinions related to the duration of individual rhythmic gymnastics complexes use. According to many experts, the set of exercises as well as its musical accompaniment, changes as necessary, because one of the criteria is the loss of children’s interest in exercises. The average duration of the use of a separate complex of rhythmic gymnastics with 2 lessons per week, varies, according to literary sources, from one and a half to three and a half months. With reference to the above, there is a need for special studies to solve current problems existing in the practice of physical education of pre-school students.

In the era of the Covid-19 pandemic, the government implemented a distance learning system for students at all levels of education. This has an impact on various changes in learning methods, including for the subjects of Physical Education, Sports, and Health. The importance of learning sports during the pandemic is the right of every student, including students with special needs. In fact, children who need special services are often excluded from teaching and learning activities in physical education. So adaptive physical education is needed so that it can serve the learning needs of blind students and lead students to achieve excellent health. To overcome the persistence of the above problem, the authors implemented an adaptive physical education program aimed at blind students at Junior High School Modern Islamic School (SMP MIS) Surakarta. The main program is train students to do an adaptive rhythmic gymnastics. This program consisting of Ayo Pahami (Lets Understand), Ayo Praktikkan (Lets Practice), and Ayo Lanjutkan (Lets Continue) which are carried out online through the WhatsApp Group. In general, this program implementation activities can run well. This is evidenced by the results of written test and also performance test. Quantitatively, the average students score is 60 while the average teachers score is 84 for the written test, and the average students score for performance test is 71,2 which is considered as skilled. Qualitatively, all students understand and can memorize the whole movements of the rhythmic gymnastics. Habituation and parental/teacher guidance is needed to boost students’ ability in practicing the movements so that their motor skills can improve progressively. We also arrange ETAS organizational structure that aims to encourage students to continue their rhythmic gymnastics habits and is expected new extracurricular in the future.
