The article focuses on to conduct a comparative analysis of English and Kazakh phraseological units nominating the image of a dog. The purpose of this study is to consider the national and cultural specifics, reflected in the stable expressions of the English and Kazakh languages with the "dog" component. The article provides a brief overview of works related to the issues of phraseology in English and Kazakh. The work was based on general scientific methods: induction and deduction, analysis and synthesis. The work with the collected card index of stable expressions was carried out by the method of continuous sampling, using the descriptive-analytical method. An important place in the work with the material was given to the methods of definitional, contextual and typological analysis. Using the comparative-comparative method, national-specific and universal features of zoonyms in English and Kazakh languages were determined. The material of the research was a card index of phraseological units of the English and Kazakh languages (more than 160 units) which were selected using the method of continuous sampling from phraseological dictionaries of the English and Kazakh languages. When analyzing the authors of the article relied on materials from phraseological dictionaries in English and Kazakh languages. In the course of the analysis, groups of phraseological units were identified and their differences and similarities in the compared languages were identified, as well as their national and cultural specificity, based on the action of universal cultural codes; the national and cultural specificity of zoonyms is determined by a number of extralinguistic factors: the location of the country, the living conditions of the people, their customs and traditions, history, religion and socio-political structure. All this secures national-specific connotation to zoonyms and determines their productivity. The results of the study showed that through the prism of axiology, an analysis of English and Kazakh stable combinations with the "dog" component, reflecting the paradigm of values (general cultural and national-cultural) and anti-values of the corresponding ethnic communities, was presented, as well as universal values representing at the intercultural level. The results of the study showed that through the prism of axiology, the analysis reflects the paradigm of values (general cultural and national-cultural) and anti-values of the corresponding ethnic communities. The research results have both theoretical and practical significance; it will be additional material for elective courses on the subject of "Lexicology" taught at the faculties of philology and foreign languages in higher educational institutions.

An advertising slogan is a special genre of advertising text that acts as a connecting link in the entire advertising campaign. In addition, slogans also perform a number of other functions, being the most important unit of advertising communication, they influence the recipients of information, affect their emotions and behavior. The relevance of the topic is due to the increased interest in the rapidly developing language of advertising. The article is devoted to general issues of the functioning of an advertising slogan in the structure of advertising activities, classification of slogans in advertising communication. Research methods are determined by the goals and objectives of the work. In a complex linguistic analysis, the following general scientific theoretical methods are used: the continuous sampling method, the descriptive-analytical method, the comparative-comparative method. The theoretical significance of this study lies in the expansion, deepening and systematization of theoretical information about the concept of an advertising slogan. The scientific and practical significance of the work lies in the fact that the materials of the study can be used in theoretical courses on advertising in the study of intercultural communication. Results. The totality of the typological characteristics of the slogan distinguishes it from the background of other verbal units of advertising appeal. These are laconicism and imagery of form, expressiveness, focus on dialogue with the addressee. The slogan of a product that is just entering the market must contain the brand name. This will allow the consumer to be remembered faster. Having analyzed the functions and typological characteristics of the slogan, we came to the conclusion that the slogan is a key autonomous element of the advertising message and can be used both in the context of advertising, being its component, and separately, having semantic, structural, compositional features. The slogan can act as a linguistic unit, independent of other elements of the advertising text, expressing the essence of the advertising campaign, the company's image, the dominant idea. Thus, the changes caused by extralinguistic factors inevitably lead to the creation of new advertising images, which in turn requires a qualitative transformation of the nature of the advertising text and the emergence of new advertising slogans.

The purpose of this article is to conduct a comparative analysis of customs regulation procedures for the import of vehicles operating in the G20 countries, to determine the possibility of adapting and using their experience in order to improve the customs procedure in force in Ukraine. Since most researches of Ukrainian scientists mainly concern the adaptation of existing customs procedures to the requirements of the Ukraine– EU Association Agreement and the search for ways to solve the problem of shadow schemes of vehicle import, the selected research purpose is relevant. The subject-matter of the study is the procedures for customs regulation of the import of vehicles of the G20 countries. Methodology. To achieve this purpose, a set of general scientific methods was used that ensure the objectivity and validity of the results obtained, namely, methods of abstraction, comparison, analysis and synthesis, generalization. Results. The research results showed that Ukraine is far behind the leading countries in terms of implementing the standards of environmental and technical safety of imported vehicles. If compliance with the requirements of environmental safety, namely compliance with European standards, is still taken into account when importing, then the issues of technical safety are not regulated by the current customs procedure. Secondly, the system of taxes and payments that are paid in Ukraine upon importation, namely duty, excise duty, and VAT, does not provide for compensation for the negative impact of imported vehicles on the environment. Thirdly, comparing the practice of temporary importation of vehicles operating in the G20 countries and Ukraine has allowed highlighting a number of inconsistencies. So, in the G20 countries, only non-residents can use this regime in the vast majority. Citizens of the country are entitled to temporary admission only if strictly defined requirements are met. However, unlike Ukrainian practice, the very procedure for temporary admission implies the absence of requirements for payment of customs duties and other payments, regardless of whether the person who uses it is a resident or non-resident of the country. Practical significance. The conclusions made allow proposing the necessity to amend the current procedure by introducing the practice of confirming the conformity of imported vehicles with the technical requirements for their operation, increasing the tax burden on vehicles with low environmental efficiency, settling the issue of the availability of the regime of temporary admission of vehicles and strengthening control over compliance with this regime. Relevance/originality. Proposals for the adaptation and use of the experience of the leading countries in the field of customs regulation of import of vehicles are a way to prevent the negative phenomena in Ukraine in this area.

The aim of the article is to analyze the current stage of the functioning of the vocal variety school in the musical culture of Ukraine and identify certain trends in its development directions. In order to achieve the marked goal, it is necessary to solve the following tasks: to determine the specifics of the development of a modern Ukrainian vocal variety school, analyzing its real position and known methods for the teachers of a variety vocal and to reveal the directions of which their realization is in modern musical culture of Ukraine. The methodology. In this publication, methods of comparative analysis and synthesis were used to identify the specifics of teaching a variety vocal by domestic teachers. Also, we used systemic and cultural approaches to the study of variety vocal school in the musical culture of Ukraine. The results. Having studied the functioning of domestic modern vocal schools, it can be concluded that this phenomenon though is quite relevant in modern musical culture of Ukraine, based mainly on the generally accepted and already known methods of variety vocals. There are single cases when teachers form their own teaching methodology and distribute it as Iryna Tsukanova, demonstrating her own master classes on the Internet. But the main tendency among domestic vocal teachers is that they are based on already well-known vocal techniques, taking from them the basis that it is necessary for each particular performer. It is worth noting separately such a trend of domestic artists-teachers, as a commercialization of teaching activities, when vocal workshops are carried out for a group of students that study with other teachers. Such events can be called a master class with a star-teacher and they become more popular. Another trend when well-known artists, such as Natalia Mohylevska and Tetiana Piskarova create their own vocal studio based on vocal techniques that were developed by the heads of studios. Other teachers give their lessons in these studios, and celebrities conduct master class for students of their own institution. Variety vocal schools that are different by their stylistics, as a jazz or rock schools are more narrowly specialized. This makes teachers rely on the generally recognized world techniques of jazz or rock music, concentrating on the specifics of these directions and working them out with students. The scientific topicality. The work of the domestic vocal variety school in modern musical culture of Ukraine is investigated. The specifics of the development of modern vocal variety school of Ukraine is revealed. The well-known techniques of the variety vocal teachers are analyzed. The main tendencies that are the basis for Ukrainian teachers in their work with students are determined. One of them is based mainly on the techniques of a variety vocal of famous world teachers, the other one — on their own methods. The practical significance. Since the vocal variety art in the musical culture of Ukraine occupies a quite important place, this publication may be useful for domestic modern variety singers, vocal teachers and scientists, which will study it in the future.

The article deals with image-forming verbs involved in the verbalization of the concept of “BOGATYR” in the text of olonkho. The purpose of the study was to establish the features of the functioning of image-forming verbs in the semantic content of the concept and to identify the continuity of these features in the Yakut epic texts of the early and late periods in comparative analysis. To achieve this goal, the following research methods were used: the method of conceptual analysis, the method of continuous sampling, the component analysis, the method of semantic definition, the method of contextual analysis, and the comparative method. The selection of verbs was made from the texts of early recordings – “Bogatyr Toyon Nyurgun” by N. F. Popov, “Nyurgun Bootur the Swift” by K. G. Orosin, “Ala Bulkun bogatyr” by T. V. Zakharov – Cheebiy, “Kulun Kullustuur the Obstinate” by I. G. Teploukhov-Timofeev; from later texts – “Dzhiribine Bootur” by V. O. Karataev, “Son of a Horse Bogatyr Dyyray” by I. I. Burnashev – Tong Suorun, “The Mighty Kyyrdzhyt” by V. N. Popov – Bochookh. The analysis involved 13 image-forming verbs from early texts and 27 verbs from later olonkho texts. As the study shows, the fixed image-forming verbs are involved in describing the appearance of the bogatyr, his actions and movements. In addition, in later texts there is the use of image-forming verbs in describing the movement of the body parts of the bogatyr. Comparative analysis confirms the preservation of continuity in later texts. This is evidenced, for example, by the functioning of similar image-forming verbs in the description of the physical abilities of the bogatyr. Image-forming verbs, as special speech means, help to better reveal and understand the content of the concept “BOGATYR”. The olonkho-tellers of the later olonkho have an enriched vocabulary; therefore, for completeness and brightness of the image of the bogatyr, they more often resort to the use of image-forming verbs.

Introduction: the article presents a comparative analysis of phonetic structure of a word’s stem on the material of the Mordovian (Moksha and Erzya) and Baltic-Finnish (Finnish and Estonian) languages. Particular interest of the study is the study of changes that occurred in the structure of consonant combinations and affected the state of the structure of the Finno- Ugric word’s stem. Objective: on the basis of a comparative method to study the phonetic changes that occurred in the combinations of consonants in the nominal and verbal stems of Finno-Ugric origin in the middle of the word, and to determine the preserved degrees of identity of the ancient Finno-Ugric word-formation stem. Research materials: the nominal and verbal word stems of modern Mordovian (Moksha and Erzya) languages, considered from the point of view of the comparative and historical method, as well as their etymological correspondences in the Baltic-Finnish (Finnish and Estonian) languages, revealed by the method of continuous sampling from etymological dictionaries. Results and novelty of the research: the article presents a detailed description of the development of consonant combinations in the Finno-Ugric word stem; the differences that arose in the common stems in the modern Mordovian, Finnish and Estonian languages as a result of separate development are revealed; the reasons transforming the structure of the Proto-Finno-Ugric word stem are identified. The relevance of the study is determined by the lack of knowledge of the structure of the Finno-Ugric word stem on the material of the Mordovian languages, as well as the need to identify additional data required for further in-depth study of the phonemic and morphemic levels of the Mordovian (Moksha and Erzya) languages. It will help to more fully describe certain aspects of both Finno-Ugric and Mordovian linguistics. The novelty of the study lies in the absence of comparative works devoted to the study of the phonemic structure of the Finno-Ugric word stem with the use of materials of closely related (Moksha and Erzya) and distantly related (Finnish and Estonian) languages at the same time.

The purpose is to substantiate proposals for finalizing the draft of a new nomenclature of scientific specialties in the direction of creating conditions for conducting complex, interdisciplinary legal research within its framework. In this paper, the authors clarify the content of the concepts “interdisciplinarity” and “complexity” in relation to legal research; critically analyze the current nomenclature of scientific specialties; identify problems of regulatory regulation of the list of scientific specialties in the draft of the new nomenclature prepared by the working group of the Ministry of education and science of Russia; formulation of proposals for improving this project. Methodology: system and structural-functional methods; analysis and synthesis; comparative method; normative-logical and hermeneutical methods. Conclusions. Two trends in the development of legal science have been identified: on the one hand, there is an integrativity aimed at merging, interpenetrating, combining branches and areas of scientific research into complex, interdisciplinary education; on the other hand, differentiation and specialization of scientific areas continue, and the emergence of new areas of scientific research. Some shortcomings of the current nomenclature of scientific specialties for which degrees are awarded are shown. Scientific and practical significance. It is shown that the current nomenclature does not fully allow applicants for academic degrees to conduct comprehensive interdisciplinary research in the field of jurisprudence. The article substantiates proposals for improving the nomenclature of scientific specialties by adding the section “complex legal Sciences” to it.

The article analyzes the features of homonymous relations between phraseological units and terminological phrases, determines the specificity of these relations. The aim was to prove, on the basis of a comparative analysis of the semantic and stylistic properties of terms and phraseological units formed from them, that connotative coloring is one of the criteria of their homonymy. The material for the research was the original card index, which included 245 phraseological units homonymous with terminological phrases. In the course of the study, methods of continuous sampling, observation, scientific analysis and description, systematization, and quantitative data processing were used. Differences in their semantics are considered as the main criterion for differentiating phraseological homonyms and compound terms. Based on the linguistic units analysis, it has been established that compound terms and phraseological units formed from them have inconsistent meanings: the terms have specific meanings, devoid of connotation; in the meanings of phraseological units, connotative semes are identified: 147 phraseological units of terminological origin contain a bright connotative component in their semantic structure. The article makes an attempt to comprehend the place of connotation in the semantic structure of phraseological units and the specifics of the connotation of phraseological units. The conclusions made in the article are supported by the data from phraseological dictionaries and speech usage of the units under study.
