AbstrakNilai kerohanian adalah salah satu nilai yang lahir melalui proses yang panjang dalam sebuah masyarakat yang memiliki budaya beradab. Salah satu unsur nilai kerohanian adalah nilai mora- l. Nilai ini biasanya ditemukan dalam ragam karya sastra. Penelitian mengkaji nilai kerohanian dengan objek yang berbeda, yaitu dalam tuturan lisan pada transaksi jual-beli sebuah pasar di Kalimantan Selatan, Pasar Nagara, di Hulu Sungai Selatan.Teori yang digunakan adalah berhubungan dengan nilai kerohanian yang salah satunya unsur pembangunnya dari nilai moral. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah dokumentasi dan rekam.Hasil penelitian dalam tuturan transaksi jual-beli ini ditemukan nilai kejujuran, mandiri, tolong-menolong, dan kepedulian. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa nilai positif dalam kehidupan tidak hanya dapat digali dari karya sastra semata, tapi teori kesastraan yang berkaitan dengan nilai kerohanian ini dapat diterapkan dalam tuturan lisan sehari-hari, salah satunya pasar yang terdapat di tengah masyarakat. Kata kunci: nilai, kerohanian, transaksi  AbstractSpiritual value is one of the values that were born through a long process in a society that has a civilized culture. One element of spiritual values is moral value. This value is usually found in a variety of literary works. The present study is to examine the issue of spiritual value with different objects, namely the oral at a market in South Kalimantan, Nagara Market, at Upper South River. The theory used was related to spiritual values, one of which elements of the builder of moral values. The method used was descriptive. Data collecting techniques were documentating and recording. The results of research are that in speech of buying and selling is found the values of honesty, self-contained, helping, and caring. This proves that the positive values in life not only can be extracted from the literature alone, but literary theory related to spiritual values can be applied in everyday oral speech, one of which markets are in the community. Keywords: values, spirituality, transactions

Moral Values in Guru Aini Written by Andrea Hirata ABSTRAKPenelitian ini berisi tentang nilai-nilai Akhlak Al-Islam dan Kemuhammadiyahan dalam novel Guru Aini karya Andrea Hirata. Nilai akhlak menjadi fokus utama pada penelitian ini karena akhlak merupakan salah satu pondasi dasar dari sifat manusia yang sangat erat kaitannya dengan perilaku manusia dengan Tuhannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang mendalam mengenai nilai-nilai akhlak berupa nilai takwa, tawakal, kejujuran, keikhlasan, sabar  dan syukur dari novel Guru Aini karya Andrea Hirata. Novel tersebut memiliki nilai akhlak yang perlu diterapkan dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat serta menjadi khazanah keilmuan berkaitan antara agama dan sastra. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan pendekatan analisis isi. Metode kualitatif ini dapat menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa kata-kata tertulis atau atau isi komunikasi berupa percakapan, teks tertulis, dan fotografi. Simpulan dari hasil penelitian ini terdapat 6 kutipan dari nilai takwal, 14 kutipan nilai tawakal, 18 kutipan dari nilai kejujuran, 4 kutipan dari nilai keikhlasan, 1 kutipan dari nilai sabar, dan 14 kutipan dari nilai syukur. Kata kunci: Nilai-nilai akhlak, karya sastra, novelABSTRACTThis study contains moral values based on Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah in the novel Guru Aini by Andrea Hirata. This study aims to gain deep understanding of akhlak (moral) values in the form value of piety/morals, resignation/never giving up, honesty, sincerity, patience and gratitude from the novel Guru Aini by Andrea Hirata. The novel has a moral value that needs to be applied in social life and becomes a scientific treasure related to religion and literature. This research uses qualitative method and content analysis approach, this qualitative method can produce descriptive data in the form of written words or communication content in the form of conversation, written text, and photography. We have been quite familiar with art and literary work in our life. They can be music, pain or literature. Literature is human expression consisting experience, consideration, feeling, idea, spirit, and conviction in form of concrete description that arouse attraction by using language. Literature is the result of ideas that belongs to human. The result of literary works can be written work , pictures or music. Literary works in written form include the novel, poem, short story, verse, etc. While in pictures form include painting, movie, photograph, etc. And literary works in the form of music include songs that every day we listen.   This thesis is an effort to analyze the moral values in the movie entitled “47 Ronin”, which might be very useful for the researcher himself, the readers, and other researchers who might need it as source of information. There are three research problems proposed from this “47 Ronin” analyzing film. They are: (1) The moral value found on this film, (2) The moral values conveyed on this film, (3) The messages that can be delivered to the viewers. Based on the result of this study the researcher found some moral values contained in the movie”47 Ronin”, such as: friendliness, tolerance and acceptance, self-confidence, determination, honesty, positive attitude, patience, initiative and courage, motivation, self respect.  The researcher hopes those values would be useful for the Viewers and the readers of this thesis as their life guidance to be better persons.   Keywords: Moral Value, “47 Ronin” Film

AbstractPersonal Values in Story of Palaya from Katingan Subethnic. Palaya is a community folklore of Katingan sub-ethnic whish is one of the literary works owned by the community of Katingan Tengah sub-ethnic. This study focuses on personal values which include: (1) emotional value, (2) moral value, and (3) Social value. There were 20 personal values found in the story of Palaya, the Katingan sub-ethnic which consist of expression of joy, sadness, fear, shympaty and emphaty, hatred and revenge. There were 16 moral values found in the story of Palaya, the Katingan sub-ethnic, they were respectful, devoted, patient, brave, honest, and wise. There were 10 social values found in the story of Palaya, the Katingan sub-ethnic, they were cooperative attitude, mutual help, doing cooperative activities, helping to overcome difficulties others.Key words: emotional value, moral value, social value, Palaya, story sub-ethnic KatinganAbstrakNilai Personal dalam Cerita Palaya Subetnik Katingan. Nilai personal yang terdapat pada cerita palaya subetnika Katingan berjumlah dua puluh yang terdiri dari ekspresi gembira, sedih, takut, simpati dan empati, benci dan dendam. Nilai moral yang terdapat pada cerita palaya subetnika Katingan berjumlah enam belas yang terdiri dari rasa hormat, berbakti, sabar, berani, jujur, dan bijaksana. Nilai sosial yang terdapat pada cerita palaya subetnika Katingan berjumlah dua puluh yang terdiri dari sikap bekerja sama, saling membantu, melakukan aktivitas bersama, membantu mengatasi kesulitan orang lain.Kata-kata kunci: nilai emosional, nilai moral, nilai sosial, cerita palaya subetnika Katingan

Literary work is a subtle medium in conveying the values ​​of morality in da'wah. The beauty of words in literature can provide entertainment and imply the values ​​of personality that can teach goodness. So many moral values ​​that can be presented by literary works as a means of someone to convey the message of da'wah with beautiful sentences. So in addition to the works of literature can provide entertainment, the readers can also reap the wisdom of the message of da'wah presented the author with a beautiful and interesting language. The moral value can also be derived from the character of the story in the novel as well as from the beauty of the poetic sentence presented by a poet. The theme of love in literature such as the simple novel "Garis Waktu" from Fiersa Besari and the anthology of "Asal Muasal Pelukan" from Chandra Malik is an alternative to reading that is not only entertaining but implies moral values. although the main theme in this literary work is not including religious themes, but this work contains many good moral values ​​and can be applied in the behavior of community life. da'wah method through literary works is expected to be an alternative in the planting of morality without a sense of patronizing.

The problem in this study is how the structure of the folklore "Ki Ageng Mangir", the function of folklore from Bantul district "Ki Ageng Mangir", as well as any moral values contained in the folklore. This study aims to describe the structure, function and the moral value of the folklore "Ki Ageng Mangir" The research method used is descriptive, data collection techniques using reading and note-taking techniques, the data generated in this study are written data.The results of the study indicate that the Ki Ageng Mangir people's stories have a function as the source of reference for historical events in Bantul district, the values contained in this story are cultural, religious and moral values.

Pan Balang Tamak text is one of Balinese narrative texts developing in Balinese communities. This text contains very deep moral value that is very useful for communities to achieve happiness in the world. The moral values embed in the clauses constructing the text in metaphorical meaning. Many clauses constructing the text contain verbal group complexes in which describe kinds of actions done by the participants. This paper analyzes the application of verbal group complexes in Pan Balang Tamak text written by Suptra (2014). The theory used to analyze the verbal group complexes is the theory of group complex from Systemic Functional Linguistics from Halliday (2014). The paper used qualitative research, namely by the theory approach, the technique used is based on syntagmatic and paradigmatic based on field, tenor, mode. The result of the research suggested that both verbal group complexes in paratactic and in hypotactic were found in the text. Paratactic can be found in the way of the communities respect their bad behavior and the real condition happening to all animal living in the forest. The hypotactic were found the clauses which contain the effort to trap Pan Balang Tamak and the advantages obtained by Pan Balang Tamak from the efforts which be trap Pan Balang Tamak. Projection verb can be found in verbal process in which mean proposal, namely, the willing to trap Pan Balang Tamak

The Status

Humans have gone through many incidents, both good and bad experiences, and sometimes these experiences are shared with others in the form of stories. The stories, as one of the forms of literary works, would be nothing without the created characters within them because they provide the viewers with a purpose and a reason for us to learn about what happens in the story. Besides, they act as one important element in the movie with various psychological effects. This research aims to analyze the characteristics and the hierarchy of human needs, especially esteem needs, that appear in the main character named Will Traynor in the ‘Me Before You’ movie directed by Thea Sharrock. This study uses descriptive data analysis which describes a phenomenon and the main character in the movie. The results revealed seven characters comprising the esteem needs hierarchy: sensitive, open-minded, friendly, kind, confident, humble, and stubborn. The esteem needs hierarchy is the desire to have the need to be approved, valued, and recognized to have some self-esteem. This is striking in the movie because of the status of the character, Will Traynor as a lord, and Louisa Clark who is only a maid and has no superiority over Will in her life. The findings imply the personality of humans differ in their characters and psychology as shown from the esteem needs hierarchy in Will’s personality expressing the different types of characteristics.

Literary studies can not be separated from the literary theory initiated and developed by “Western” scholars. Indonesian Literature also refers to these theories in interpreting and explaining literary works. This paper intends to ask the historical contextuality and the theoretical independence of Indonesian literature as a nation that has a historicity different from the West. The main offer in this paper is the importance of a theory called the theory of harmony-constitution. The important objectives of the theoretical point of view of the theory of harmony-the constitution are 1) all efforts to build an independent society and social justice, 2) a happy and safe condition, and hence the freedom that has been achieved should always encourage unity, sovereignty and prosperity, and 3) the acknowledgment “on the blessings of almighty God and by the noble driven.” Methodologically, the theory of harmony-constitution is based on semantics. This theory can be used to analyze social and cultural issues, but in the case of this paper will be tested to study literary works, especially the poetry of Chairil Anwar.

ABSTRACT   Panitibaya fiber is one of the piwulang Javanese texts that needs to be preserved because the teachings contained in it are still very beneficial for the community. For that Panitibaya Fiber will be examined on (1) how the sound layer in Panitibaya Fiber, (2) how the meaning layer in  Panitibaya Fiber, (3) how the object layer in Panitbaya Fiber, (4) Moral Value in Panitibaya Fiber. This study uses a literary sociology approach according to Ian Watt. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data used in this study is the text of the Fiber Panitibaya written by Bathara Katong. Data collection techniques in this study were heuristic and hermeneutic reading methods. The analysis technique uses an analysis of the building blocks of poetry Roman Ingarden which includes sound layers, meaning layers, object layers. From the data, it was analyzed using Ian Watt's sociology theory of literature to find out the teachings contained in Panitibaya Fiber. The results of this study indicate that the existence of sound layers, layers of meaning and layers of objects, as well as moral values ​​contained in the Panitibaya Fiber for pursuing are summarized as eleven teachings as follows, (1) obligations to the Creator, (2) disgraceful qualities that must be shunned, (3) commendable traits, (4) actions that are not justified for men, (5) attitudes that must be considered in speech, (6) ancestral messages, (7) people who are not approachable, (8) actions related to children, (9) actions related to firearms, (10) there are visits and neighbors, and (11) attitude in handling a job. The teachings of the Panitibaya Fiber need to be disseminated in the Javanese community, either through print media or online media. Morality is a personal guide of distinguishing goodness from badness with their mind. Indonesian women, especially Javanese, are perceived to be moral when they possess noble character reflected in gentle, polite, loyal, and religious attitudes. Many Indonesian cultural products portray the ideal female figure in terms of physical to a moral image. One of the cultural products dedicated to illustrate the typical moral for women is Tambang Macapat. Macapat songs containing moral values for women are the song in Serat Kitab Kalam Qodrat (KKQ). This study focuses on examining the content and moral values of Serat KKQ using gender perspective, with a primary emphasis on women’s gender. The results can be used as a model for Indonesian women and their character education support. This research is qualitative descriptive with a content analysis method. The primary data are the literary works in KKQ from Mpu Tantular Museum collection, Sidoarjo and the thesis of Sri Sulistianingsih (2016) titled Kalam Qodrat book: text edits and structural analysis. The study results are related to women’s morals, respect to parents and a husband (obedient to a husband, loyal, and harmonious), determination, maintaining self-esteem (honor) and the motivation of study. Moralitas merupakan upaya untuk membimbing manusia menggunakan akalnya untuk membedakan kebaikan dan keburukan. Wanita Indonesia khususnya wanita Jawa disebut bermoral ketika memiliki budi pekerti luhur yang tercermin dari sikap lembut, santun, setia dan taat beragama. Banyak produk budaya Indonesia yang menggambarkan sosok perempuan ideal dari segi fisik hingga moralitas. Salah satu produk budaya yang didedikasikan untuk menggambarkan moral ideal bagi perempuan adalah tembang macapat. Salah satu tembang macapat yang memuat nilai moral bagi perempuan adalah tembang macapat yang ada di dalam serat Kitab Kalam Qodrat (KKQ). Fokus studi ini mengkaji isi dan nilai moral dari Serat KKQ menggunakan perspektif gender, dengan fokus utama pada gender perempuan. Hasil kajian dapat digunakan sebagai model bagi perempuan Indonesia serta untuk mendukung pendidikan karakter perempuan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, dengan objek kajian serat KKQ. Menggunakan metode analisis isi. Data utama penelitian ini adalah serat KKQ koleksi museum Mpu Tantular Sidoarjo dan skripsi Sri Sulistianingsih (2016) dengan judul Kitab Kalam Qodrat: suntingan teks dan analisis struktural. Hasil dari penelitian berkaitan dengan moral (akhlak) perempuan, hormat pada orang tua, hormat kepada suami (sikap patuh pada suami, tidak durhaka, setia dan rukun), akhlak berpendirian teguh, menjaga harga diri (kehormatan) serta semangat menuntut ilmu
