The objective of this research is the studying of the issues due to the organisation of educational process in the discipline of physical education in the form of distance learning. This was done by researching among 200 second- and third- year students of The Yaroslav-the-Wise Novgorod State University. As the result, were revealed some positive and negative sides of the distance form of education. It was determined that this educational form allows to supplement practical skills with deeper theoretical knowledge but leads to a decrease in physical activity and academic performance of students. The goals and objectives of the realisation of elective course “Physical education and sport” cannot be fully achieved in the form of distance learning. In this case the provision of educational service does not meet the requirements of the CEF.

Purpose: on the basis of a review of modern special literature, develop a questionnaire and analyze the attitude of students to physical education. Material and Methods: the study was conducted on the basis of the Department of Physical Education, Sports and Human Health, Mariupol State University. The study involved 78 students of the 1st year of study, of which 38 students (Gr. 1) and 40 students (Gr. 2). Everyone was asked to answer the question of the developed questionnaire. Results: despite the fact that only 39% of girls and 52% of boys tolerate physical activity, according to the answers, only 21% of female students and 30% of students attend sports sections 2-3 times a week, the rest consider it sufficient to attend physical education classes at the University. At the same time, 44% of female students and 35% of students suffer from colds 3-4 times a year, which in the future, against the background of a decrease in immunity, can lead to chronic diseases. There is also a tendency towards the abuse of low alcohol drinks. Only 31% of female students and 25% of students are fully satisfied with physical culture at the University. According to many students, physical culture should take into account the interests of the students themselves in the form of sectional classes. According to our survey, 63% of girls want to go in for fitness, 37% - power sports, 2 times a week instead of physical education lessons. Conclusions: there is a problem in the current system of physical education, it is necessary to develop and implement innovative directions for improving the process of physical education.

In March 2020, a respiratory illness caused by the COVID-19 virus was declared by the World Health Organization as a pandemic and a state of emergency in Ukraine and around the world. To prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, state and local authorities have imposed numerous restrictions on human movement and physical interaction. As a result, student youth no longer had access to classes, especially physical education classes, as well as walks to / from the educational institution. It was the global COVID-19 pandemic that led to the transition to the online "life" of the entire population, including students. And, if the organization of the educational process of freelance students has reached a certain level and is constantly evolving, the creation of online conditions for physical activity of young people during physical education classes has so far been ignored. The problem of health of the entire population of Ukraine is recognized at the state level, as the level of development of the state at a particular stage determines the health of the nation. In addition, quarantine and distance learning of students in Ukrainian educational institutions have led to a critical decline in the duration of specially organized physical activity. This thesis is confirmed by the sad data on the decline in interest in the idea of a healthy lifestyle, systematic physical activity of young students, and, in fact, is a problem for the national security and defense capabilities of Ukraine. Quarantined distance learning as a set of online information technologies has ensured a successful educational process for freelance students. In addition, the geopolitical situation places high demands on society to the physical fitness of future defenders of the country's sovereignty. But the motivation for systematic motor activity in young people is critically low. The diversification and wide representation of the latest areas of physical activity, the development of sports infrastructure and the reduction of the cost of various fitness applications testify to the formation of a powerful affordable global industry of health, fitness and physical education services. However, achieving any result is calculated and requires a personal presence in class, training, sparring or, for example, meditation.

The global COVID-19 pandemic has changed the education system. The use of modern information technologies in the educational process and the introduction of distance learning are becoming more and more relevant. These requirements began to apply to academic disciplines, which a priori are difficult to teach online, in a quarantine situation. Physical education is such a discipline. Requirements for teachers are increasing. The teacher must have digital pedagogical competencies in order to successfully teach this academic discipline in modern conditions. The purpose of this pilot study was to determine the level of formation of digital pedagogical competencies among physical education teachers working in institutions of higher and secondary vocational education. The research is based on the European model Digital Competence of Educators (DIGCOMPEDU). A questionnaire for identifying the formation of digital pedagogical competencies was developed on the basis of this model and tested in this study. Teachers were asked to assess, on a 5-point scale, the level of skills and experience in the application of information technologies in the educational process and in the organization of distance learning, as well as to provide specific resources with which they work.44 teachers of physical education from Pskov State University, College of Pskov State University and Velikie Luki State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports took part in this study. It was found that most of all physical culture teachers have formed the ability to work with search engines and knowledge in the field of information security. The skills to produce and use video and graphics content are the least developed. Also an important problem is the lack of experience in the implementation of distance learning among physical education teachers.Groups of teachers with different levels of formation of digital pedagogical competencies were identified using cluster analysis. Five such levels have been identified. The conducted research determines the problem that physical education teachers lack competence in the field of information technologies and their implementation in the educational process even with a mixed form of education (full-time form with elements of distance learning).

The research was conducted on a randomly chosen group of 916 students aged 16-18 in Lublin Province, Poland. The research was carried out in 2016 using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire, the extended version, and supplemented with additional questions regarding the students’ assessment of physical education lessons. The majority of students (77.4%) meet the requirements for a high level of physical activity, with the remaining 16.5% demonstrating moderate and only 6.1% − low level. There were no significant reductions of physical activity visible in the older age group, although in subsequent periods (in 16-18 year-olds), it was successively lower. The mean level of total physical activity in boys was 65566 MET[1] - min week, and it was significantly higher than in girls, i.e. 5345,5 MET-min/week. The vast majority of students (92.2%) participate in school physical education classes, and over 75% think that they like these activities. Students enrolled in physical education classes demonstrate a higher level of total physical activity (5960.5MET-min/week), in contrast to the non-participating ones (5637,2MET-min/week); however, no significant relationship has been found. Furthermore, it has been shown that girls and boys were willing to get involved in different physical activities. Apart from PE classes, boys would mainly get involved in football (23.2%), volleyball (15.5%), table tennis (13.0%), and swimming (12.5%). Girls would instead choose volleyball (14.7%), football (12.6%), swimming (9.4%) and gymnastics (8.9%). This favourable image of physical activity of students in the Polish schools in Lublin Province can contribute to the discussion of the place of physical activities in the modern school educational process.

The article reveals the peculiarities of the use of modern information technologies in the process of physical education classes for student youth. Modern fitness programs and fitness bracelets were analyzed, which made it possible to investigate the impact of modern technologies on the popularity of physical education and physical activity among modern youth and there is an increase in motivation to exercise. Therefore, the introduction of modern information technologies in the education system, which provide further improvement of the educational process, preparation of the younger generation for life in the information space, becomes important. The introduction of infocommunication technologies in the educational process can not only increase the efficiency of the learning process, but also form a physical culture, which increases motivation to exercise, lead a healthy lifestyle, physical improvement, improve the level of physical activity. They will allow you to capture data from various sensors, display indicators on a color display, store information in cloud storage. The result of such devices will be a bio-journal with data on the state of physical fitness of a particular student. The device measures body temperature, heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen content, monitors sleep phases and stress levels, and has a fairly wide range of functionality: speedometer, altimeter, pedometer, calorie counter. Therefore, there is a question in the development and implementation of a system of control and evaluation of physical activity, which would meet the modern requirements of the educational process and have an effective impact on improving the status of physical education and attracting young people to exercise.
