Di Indonesia penyebaran virus covid-19 telah meresahkan masyarakat khususnya di kota Makassar. Sejak munculnya virus covid-19, masyarakat kini kesulitan untuk menemukan antiseptik seperti handsanitizer. Berdasarkan latar pendidikan yang sedang kami jalani. Kami berinisiatif untuk membuat handsanitizer, dengan tujuan untuk membantu masyarakat mendapatkan handsanitizer yang aman digunakan sehari-hari. Pencegahan penyebaran bakteri, virus dan jamur yang paling tepat adalah dengan mencuci tangan menggunakan sabun dan air yang mengalir. Tetapi perkembangan masyarakat yang modern menuntut manusia untuk selalu bergerak cepat dan menggunakan waktu seefisien mungkin, handsanitizer merupakan produk pilihan masyarakat saat ini, karena mudah dibawa kemana-mana dan mudah didapatkan(Walidah & Supriyanta, 2014). Pertama-tama yang kita lakukan adalah menyiapkan  alat dan bahan. Kemudian mencampurkan aloe vera dan alkohol 70% dengan perbandingan 1:7 ke dalam gelas piala, selanjutnya  mencampurkan aloe vera dengan alkohol lalu menambahkan esensial oil sebanyak 50 ml. kemudian mengaduknya selama 30 menit. Pembuatan hand sanitizer ini menggunakan bahan alkohol 70% dengan gel aloe vera dengan penambahan ekstrak kulit jeruk manis (Citrus x sinensis). Bahan yang digunakan dari handsanitizer adalah bahan-bahan yang alami sehingga aman untuk digunakan, bahkan alkohol yang digunakan dapat di antisipasi dengan penambahan aloe vera yang digunakan untuk memberikan nutrisi pada kulit. Serta esensial oil dari bahan alami yaitu kulit jeruk manis.

Background: BPOM stated that in 2017, small and micro food enterprises were responsible for 49,5 % food borne disease in Indonesia. Indonesian government had provided guidance about good handling standard for food product (GMP) by UU No.18 Tahun 2012. ALOJA as Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) had lot of limitation to meet the standard. HACCP analysis was needed to give recommendation in arranging SOP that meet the standard.Objectives: The objective of this research was to do and set HACCP analysis as a way to collect data to give recommendation in setting the SOP that meet food safety standard regulation.Methods: Research done by applying 7 of 14 steps in HACCP implementation. Judgment taken based on the level of severity (3 level) and level of occurrence probability (3 level). From the matrix derived from it, SOP recommendation was taken if the level of control was medium and above.Results: Recommendation given for Pest Control procedure, washing and dipping, cooling, packaging and sealing process.Conclusions: The result shown that pest control procedure, washing and dipping, cooling, packaging and sealing process was on medium risk or above. SOP recommendation done by adding nylon net sized 80 mesh and check it regularly, control the concentration of lime betel, limit and regulate the cooling room strictly, and to apply aseptic condition. If this not possible, the best option was to apply washing hand and feet procedure with soap/hand sanitizer, masker, cover the hair of worker during packaging and sealing.ABSTRAK  Latar Belakang: Pada tahun 2017 BPOM menyebutkan bahwa Industri Kecil Makanan berkontribusi terhadap 49,5% kasus keracunan pangan di Indonesia. Pemerintah melalui UU No. 18 Tahun 2012 telah mengatur mengenai prosedur pengolahan pangan yang baik (CPPB). ALOJA sebagai UKM produsen minuman siap saji Aloe vera memiliki keterbatasan dalam sarana-prasarana dan SDM sehingga pemenuhan standar produksi pangan yang baik sulit untuk diterapkan. Analisis HACCP perlu diterapkan untuk memberikan masukan dalam penyusunan SOP dalam alur produksinya sehingga memenuhi standar produksi pangan yang baik.Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis dan menetapkan aturan HACCP sebagai bahan rekomendasi dalam penyusunan SOP yang memenuhi persyaratan standar produksi pangan yang baik.Metode: Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menerapkan 7 dari 14 langkah dalam HACCP. Metode penilaian didasarkan pada keparahan (Severity) skala tiga dan tingkat kemungkinan terjadinya (probability) skala 3. Rekomendasi SOP disusun pada resiko medium hingga tinggi yang diperoleh dari matriks severity vs probability.Hasil: Dalam analisis HACCP ini ditemukan bahwa tahap yang masih memiliki resiko menengah ke atas adalah tahap pengendalian hama, pencucian dan perendaman, pendinginan, dan pengemasan-penyegelan. Rekomendasi yang diberikan adalah dengan menambahkan jala nilon ukuran 80 mesh pada ventilasi udara dan melakukan pengecekan rutin terhadap kondisi jala nilon pengontrolan konsentrasi kapur sirih yang digunakan, dengan menyusun regulasi yang ketat untuk ruang pendinginan,dan penerapan kondisi aseptis atau minimal dengan adanya penyuci hama untuk tangan, masker, penutup kepala, apron yang bersih, dan kaki yang bersih.Kesimpulan: Rekomendasi SOP diberikan pada proses pengendalian hama, pencucian dan perendaman, pendinginan, dan pengemasan-penyegelan.

ABSTRAK Saat ini masyarakat sedang menghadapi wabah Virus Corona (Covid-19) yang sangat spesifik namun mempunyai efek kompleksitas yang tinggi, bahkan luar biasa, karena ekspektasinya tidak hanya di dunia kesehatan saja namun merambah semua sendi kehidupan manusia. Desa Kunir termasuk desa yang juga mengalami wabah Covid-19, Hal yang dapat masyarakat lakukan untuk memutus rantai penyebaran virus Covid-19 adalah dengan rajin mencuci tangan dengan sabun dan air bersih, serta menggunakan hand sanitizer secara berkala. Lidah buaya memiliki kandungan saponin yang mempunyai kemampuan untuk membersihkan dan bersifat antiseptik. Tujuan setelah pemberdayaan masyarakat desa kunir, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan dalam memanfaatkan lidah buaya yang ada disekitar tempat tinggal untuk digunakan sebagai sabun cuci tangan. Adapun kegiatan yang dilakukan berupa sosialisasi dan pemberdayaan masyarakat desa kunir dalam pembuatan dan pengaplikasian sabun cuci tangan dari lidah buaya. Terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan dan kemampuan tentang lidah buaya sebagai sabun cuci tangan yaitu 70 % diperoleh dari kuisioner sebelum dan sesudah dilaksanakan pembelajaran Kata Kunci : sabun cuci tangan, lidah buaya, desa kunir ABSTRACTCurrently, the community is facing a very specific Corona Virus (Covid-19) outbreak but has a high, even extraordinary complexity effect because the expectations are not only in the world of health but also penetrate all aspects of human life. Kunir Village is one of the villages that have also experienced the Covid-19 outbreak. What people can do to break the chain of spreading the Covid-19 virus is to diligently wash their hands with soap and clean water, and use hand sanitizers regularly. Aloe vera contains saponins which have the ability to clean and are antiseptic. The goal after empowering the people of turmeric village is expected to increase their knowledge and ability to use aloe vera around the residence to be used as hand washing soap. The activities carried out are in the form of socialization and empowerment of the village community in turmeric in the manufacture and application of handwashing soap from aloe vera. There is an increase in knowledge and abilities about aloe vera as hand washing soap, which is 70% obtained from questionnaires before and after the learning is carried out. Keywords: hand washing soap, aloe vera, kunir village

AbstractClean and Healthy Living Behaviors as known as PHBS are all health behaviors that are carried out with awareness, so that family members or families can help themselves in the health sector and play an active role in health activities in the community. One of the activities that can be carried out to achieve PHBS is washing hands using soap (hand rub / hand wash) or cleaning fluid (hand sanitizer). About 98% of the spread of microorganisms in the body comes from our own hands. Maintaining hand hygiene is an effort to avoid various diseases. The benefits of washing hands are very large, washing hands using soap / hand rub or using a hand sanitizer only takes 20 seconds but is very useful for killing microorganisms, namely bacteria, fungi, and viruses. One way to combat the new corona virus or COVID-19, which has become a pandemic at this time, is to always maintain hand hygiene. With the pandemic, the price of hand sanitizers has skyrocketed because the need has increased sharply. When used too often, alcohol as the main ingredient of hand sanitizers, besides being able to irritate the skin, it can also lift natural oils on the hands and tend to be drier, so herbal ingredients are needed as natural ingredients to reduce the side effects of these hand sanitizers. This community service activity was carried out in collaboration with communities in the Bondowoso district, namely the KAPAS Community in Sumbergading Village, Sumberwringin District and the TSS Community in Sukosari Lor Village, Sukosari District. In the Bondowoso area, there are many youth communities with various activities aimed at advancing people's lives and improving the socio-economy in the region. Various plants can be found in the area, including aloe vera and betel leaf.Keywords : Health, hand wash, hand sanitizer, aloe vera, betel leafAbstrakPerilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) merupakan  semua perilaku kesehatan yang dilakukan atas kesadaran, sehingga anggota keluarga atau keluarga dapat menolong dirinya sendiri di bidang kesehatan dan berperan aktif dalam kegiatan kesehatan di masyarakat. Salah satu kegiatan yang dapat dilakukan guna tercapainya PHBS adalah  mencuci tangan menggunakan sabun (hand rub/hand wash) atau cairan pembersih (hand sanitaizer). Sekitar 98% penyebaran mikroorganisme di tubuh bersumber dari tangan kita sendiri. Menjaga kebersihan tangan salah satu upaya terhindar dari berbagai penyakit. Manfaat mencuci tangan sangat besar, mencuci tangan memakai sabun/hand rub atau menggunakan hand sanitizer  hanya membutuhkan waktu 20 detik namun sangat berguna untuk membunuh mikroorganisme, yaitu bakteri, jamur dan virus. Salah satu cara untuk memerangi virus korona baru atau COVID-19 yang telah menjadi pandemi saat ini adalah dengan selalu menjaga kebersihan tangan. Masa pandemi ini mengakibatkan harga hand sanitizer melambung tinggi karena kebutuhan meningkat tajam. Alkohol sebagai bahan utama dari hand sanitizer bila terlalu sering digunakan, selain dapat membuat kulit iritasi juga dapat mengangkat minyak alami pada tangan dan cenderung jadi lebih kering, sehingga diperlukan bahan herbal sebagai bahan alami untuk mengurangi efek samping dari hand sanitizer tersebut. Pada kegiatan pengmas ini dilakukan kerjasama dengan komunitas di wilayah kabupaten Bondowoso yaitu Komunitas KAPAS di Desa Sumbergading  Kecamatan Sumberwringin dan komunitas TSS Desa Sukosari Lor Kecamatan Sukosari. Di wilayah Bondowoso banyak didapatkan komunitas anak muda dengan beragam kegiatan yang bertujuan memajukan kehidupan masyarakat dan meningkatkan sosial ekonomi di wilayah tersebut. The utilization of plant parts that are not used is very important in order to minimize organic waste. Rambutan (Nephelium lappaceum L.) rind has antibacterial properties which can be used as raw material. The same goes for the skin of lime peel (Citrus aurantiifolia), Betel leaf (Piper betle), Aloe vera (Aloe vera) and Eucalyptus grandis leaves. Eucalyptus grandis is a product that is not harvested in Industrial Plantation Forests which are grown by the community and green Industry in North Sumatra. The part used is the plant stem which is used as a material for making pulping. The extraction process was carried out used steam distillation. In this work, the analysis of active compound used GCMS instrument. The result of the analysis showed that there was 1.8 Sineol as much as 52%. This compound was used as an antiseptic and give a fragrant aroma. This work aims to produced  of natural hand sanitizers used Eucalyptus grandis as an odorant and antiseptic agent which used to prevent the transmission of Covid19 in Kotamatsum IV sub district, Medan City. The resulting product was a hand sanitizer that is safe to use and friendly to the environment. The natural hand sanitizer products can be used by the community in reducing the transmission of Covid19 and can increase people's income.

Antiseptics are substances that can inhibit the growth and development of pathogenic microorganisms such as viruses, bacteria, parasites, and fungi. aloe vera  is a functional plant that is widely cultivated in Indonesia. Research shows aloe vera contains saponins, flavonoids, polyphenols, and tannins which are antiseptic. By utilizing aloe vera in Renon village, especially on Jalan Tukad Badung 18, Bali, South Denpasar, it can help local communities to maintain or develop the family economy during this pandemic. By introducing innovative and creative antiseptic products or hand sanitizers and the addition of aloe vera and lime juice, this product can make this product a way of dealing with viruses and bacteria in the midst of the Covid-19 virus in Indonesia so that people can maintain a healthy lifestyle.One of the goals is to make innovative products that are good for health and open employment opportunities for students and the general public. Hand sanitizers made of aloe vera are effective at killing germs and are also very efficient and economical during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract Due to the spread of the Corona pandemic, the demand for hand sanitizers has increased dramatically. This led to a global scarcity of sterilizers. Therefore, this study was performed to produce and evaluate the effectiveness of new commercially available, cheap and ethanol-free hand sanitizers from various sources. The new hand sanitizers were prepared by mixing (glycerin) as a moisturizer and (carbomer) as thickening agents to form the gel with (tri-ethanolamine base) as pH neutralizer and (Tea tree oil, Aloe vera extract or Povidone 10%) respectively as antiseptic agents. All prepared hand sanitizers were examined with four kinds of bacteria (Enterococcus faecalis, E. coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus) And two kinds of fungi (Candida albicans and Aspergillus flavus). The prepared hand sanitizer gels showed good sterilization efficacy and similar to commercially prepared hand sanitizers (70% ethanol).

Desa Kota Lintang merupakan salah satu desa yang ada di kecamatan Kota Kuala Simpang kabupaten Aceh Tamiang dengan jumlah penduduk mencapai 7054 jiwa. Desa Kota Lintang adalah salah satu daerah yang berbatasan langsung dengan Provinsi Sumatera Utara, sehingga menjadi jalur utama keluar masuknya perdagangan. Oleh karena itu Desa Kota Lintang berpotensi menjadi jalur utama penyebaran virus Covid-19 di Aceh. Kemunculan penyakit virus corona atau Covid-19 selama enam bulan belakangan ini membuat masyarakat panik, dan menyebabkan sebagian besar masyarakat memborong cairan antiseptik yang dianggap dapat membunuh kuman ataupun virus. Hal tersebut menjadikan cairan antiseptik menjadi langka di pasaran. Salah satu bentuk cairan antiseptik yang beredar di pasaran adalah hand sanitizer. Kelangkaannya di pasaran memicu tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) Universitas Samudra melakukan pelatihan pembuatan hand sanitizer berbasis bahan alami untuk menghambat dan mencegah infeksi virus corona bagi warga desa Kota Lintang kabupaten Aceh Tamiang. Bahan alami yang digunakan adalah ekstrak daun halban (Vitex pinnata Linn) dan lidah buaya (Aloe vera) yang terdapat di sekitar desa sebagai antimikroba dan pelembut dalam hand sanitizer. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi tiga tahapan utama, yaitu sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan untuk memonitoring dan mengevaluasi perkembangan hasil kegiatan untuk keberlanjutan program PKM di desa tersebut. Hasil kegiatan PKM ini adalah mitra sasaran memiliki keterampilan dalam membuat hand sanitizer sendiri. Melalui kegiatan edukasi ini diharapkan akan meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya menjaga kebersihan tangan serta meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat tentang cara membuat hand sanitizer dengan bahan-bahan alami.

Handsanitizer gel is composed of various additives such as geling agents, humectants and neutralizing / stabilizing agents. This material is certainly a basic ingredient that will affect the shape and quality of the preparation. Carbopol is very good when used, so that low levels can provide a significant viscosity response. Eleven hand sanitizer gel formulas with variations of carbomer, aloe vera and TEA were tested for their physical properties including organoleptic, homogeneity test, pH test, spreadability and adhesion test . The optimum formula is obtained by using the Simplex Lattice Design method, then the results are analyzed using an expert design software. The optimum formula for oleum citri hand sanitizer gel contains 0.944 with carbomer 0 (0.5%), aloe vera 0.471 (5.239%) and TEA 0.529 (0.576%). The t test results obtained showed insignificant differences between the response of the physical properties of the experiment results and the prediction software.

AbstractThis study aimed to achieve an in vitro quantification of the effects of composition and formulation factors on the killing rates of alcohol-based hand sanitizers. The killing rates of 85% ethyl alcohol (ET) and isopropyl alcohol (IPA) were studied under different conditions such as pH, electrolyte concentration, or inclusion of herbal extracts (cucumber, carrot, and aloe vera), a quaternary ammonium compound, or thickener over different time intervals. Changes in the activities were retested after 3 months as an indication of stability. From two-way ANOVA, both the time of exposure and the sanitizer type affected the activity against Staphylococcus aureus (P = 0.001 for both alcohols), whereas for Escherichia coli, time of exposure was significant (P = 0.027), while sanitizer type was less significant (P = 0.063). Extreme pHs, the presence of ions, and the inclusion of additives such as benzalkonium chloride (BAC), plant extracts, or carbomer impacted the 3-month activity of the samples differently. Important differences existing in the activities of ET and IPA, as a function of formulation factors or use conditions have been quantified using in vitro methods. Formulations should best be tailored for particular purposes and the all-purpose hand sanitizer may not exist. Graphic Abstract

Hand hygiene is an essential factor to prevent or minimize the spread of infections. The ability to prepare an alcohol-free hand sanitizer (AFHS) with antimicrobial properties is crucial, especially during pandemics, when there are high demands and a low supply chain for ethanol and isopropanol. The objective of this study was to prepare AFHS gels based on natural materials that contain essential oils (EOs) that would be effective against a broad spectrum of pathogens. The results showed that the organoleptic characteristics of all prepared hand sanitizer gels were considered acceptable. The pH of the formulations was slightly acidic (circa 3.9) owing to the presence of aloe vera in large proportions (90% v/v), which is known for its acidity. The spreadability for all tested formulations was in the acceptable range. The antimicrobial effectiveness test demonstrated that the prepared hand sanitizer gels had antimicrobial activities against different gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and Candida albicans yeast. The highest antibacterial effect was observed with tea tree oil hand sanitizers, which lack activity against the yeast, while clove oil hand sanitizers showed effectiveness against all microorganisms, including Candida albicans. The lavender hand sanitizer exhibited the least antimicrobial efficiency. The acceptability study on 20 human volunteers showed that the hand sanitizer gel containing 1.25% (v/v) clove oil did not produce any signs of skin irritation. This study suggested that the prepared natural hand sanitizer gel with 1.25% (v/v) clove oil can be a potential alternative to commonly used alcohol-based hand sanitizers (ABHS).
