The purpose of this thesis research is to describe the character values ​​taught by Harfin in the novel Loving Him before Loving You. This study uses a qualitative method. Qualitative method as a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of words, phrases, clauses, and sentences for each paragraph. Research data are data sources, collection techniques and data analysis techniques which include data description, data analysis and data conclusions. Data analysis was carried out by content analysis to reveal the 5 character values, namely religious character, mutual cooperation, independence, nationalism and integrity. Religious characters have good characters (protagonists) and person who are ugly. Character of mutual cooperation is the attitude of helping and advising each other. The usual independent character lives in deprivation, hard work, has a motivation that is less dependent on others. Nationalism character in the form of dedication of honorary teachers in an elementary school. The integrity character of hard work with confidence and optimism can complete the work while praying to Him. The character implanted can be a reference for learning in schools in order to realize Indonesian children who are religious, mutual help, independent, nationalism and integrity.

<p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai-nilai dasar di dalam lagu rakyat Manuk Dadali dan menganalisis<br />hubungan antara nilai-nilai dasar tersebut. Dalam menganalisis data, peneliti menggunakan teori Schwartz tentang<br />sepuluh nilai dasar motivasi. Dalam melakukan penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif.<br />Metode kualitatif merupakan prosedur penelitian yang menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa kata-kata tertulis dari<br />masyarakat maupun buku. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tujuh nilai dasar dalam lirik lagu rakyat<br />Manuk Dadali yaitu kekuasaan, prestasi, tradisi, kepatuhan, universalisme, kebajikan, dan keamanan. Dari masingmasing</p><p>nilai, terdapat hubungan yang saling berkaitan satu dengan lainnya. Kekuasaan dengan prestasi, tradisi<br />dengan kepatuhan, universalisme dengan kebajikan, dan keamanan dengan kepatuhan.</p><p>Kata Kunci: nilai dasar, lagu rakyat manuk dadali</p><p> </p><p>The study aimed to investigate the basic values in Manuk Dadali folksong. This study was planned also to analyze the<br />interrelation of each values in Manuk Dadali folksong. In analyzing the data, the researchers used the theory of<br />Schwartz about ten motivational basic values. In conducting this research, the researchers used descriptive qualitative<br />method. The qualitative method was a research procedure which results in descriptive data whether it is from society<br />or books. The result of the data analysis showed that there are seven basic values in the lyrics of Manuk Dadali<br />folksong. They are power, achievement, tradition, conformity, universalism, benevolence, and security. Every values<br />is interrelated each other. To fulfill the interests of the people, where the need for these funds increases every year along with the increase in population and the needs of the people. The funds that will be spent on this development are certainly obtained from the people themselves through a collection called tax. The purpose of this study was to determine motor vehicle tax revenue and the transfer fee of motor vehicle names in the South Minahasa regency and what obstacles / efforts were made by the government to increase tax revenues. The analytical method used in this study is a qualitative method with descriptive data analysis techniques. The results showed that the procedures for calculating PKB and BBNKB of South Minahasa Samsat UPTD had followed  local regulation No.7 of 2011, and PKB collection for each year for collection of BBNKB. Youtube is one of the facilities of information on social media to air an advertisement. Youtube is visited by many people, especially teenagers. Many advertisements are aired on youtube, one of them is a beauty product advertisement. Beauty products are in high demand by Indonesian women, especially teenagers, because basically women always want to look beautiful. The use of language styles and impressions that we can catch on the beauty products advertisement is one of the things that influences consumers to be interested in buying it. The basis of this research begins with linguistics, namely stylistics. The purpose of this research is to describe more deeply, adequately, and comprehensively about climax language style, hyperbole language style, metaphorical language style and image on beauty products advertisements on youtube. The theory used in this research is stylistic theory. The method used in this research is qualitative method. Data collection techniques using documentation and observation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive data analysis techniques (processing, analyzing, and interpreting data). The results of the research found on the beauty products advertisement on youtube, amounting to 60 products include climax language style, hyperbole language style, metaphorical language style, and imagery (vision and touch). Conclusions and suggestions are given so that this research is useful for other researchers, advertisers, and the society.

This study aims to describe the types of violations of the principle of cooperation in dialogue between groups in the novel Koala Kumal by Raditya Dika. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data source of this research is Raditya Dika's Koala Kumal novel which consists of 12 stories. Data collectiontechniques used include techniques for reading, listening, and taking notes. The research instrument used was a cooperative principle indicator in the form of a table. Data analysis techniques with qualitative descriptive methods with steps to collect data, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study show two conclusions. First, the form of violation of the principle of cooperation that occurs is (1) the maxim of quantity, (2) the maxim of quality, (3) the maxim of relevance, and (4) the maxim of the method or implementation. Second, namely the three objectives of violating the principle of cooperation, namely (1) representative purpose: providing information or giving explanations, ensuring, expressing expectations, and affirming, (2) directive objectives: insinuating, mocking, giving advice, and criticizing or protesting, and (3) expressive goals: lying, boasting, expressing dislike, expressing concern, seducing or teasing, praising, confused, and creating humor.

Currently, dehumanization had occurred in all aspects of people's lives. This caused in many action of crimes against humanity committed by unscrupulous members of society who were not based on morals and religion. The decline in the values of humanization could not be ignored. Therefore, it was necessary to have a solution to overcome it. One of the efforts to overcome this dehumanization was through literary works, namely novels. Because in the novel the author presented an inspiring story with imaginative language, so that the reader was immersed in the novel's story. In addition, the novel contained many values of life that could serve as examples for ethical behavior through the stories of the characters. This study aimed to describe and explain the prophetic ethics of humanization in the novel of Merindu Baginda Nabi by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The data source in this research was Merindu Baginda Nabi novel. Data collection techniques in this study by using documentation study techniques. The validity of the data in this study used the theoretical triangulation technique. The data analysis technique in this study used interactive data analysis techniques. The results of the study found that there are four forms of humanization prophetic ethics found in the novel, namely maintaining brotherhood, seeing someone completely or totally, removing hatred, and eliminating forms of violence. The results of this research could be used to strengthen the character of human values for the nation's next generation of people who were starting to fade.

The purpose of this study was to find out how the welfare of mosques’ marbot in Surabaya from the perspective of maqashid syariah. Research on welfare is based on the phenomenon that occurs in research subjects. The subject of this research is the mosques’ marbot located in Surabaya by taking 4 mosques as the  samples with the most number based on typology. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. After the interview, the results of the study were analyzed using descriptive data analysis techniques by narrating the results of the interview and direct narration. The findings of this study are the welfare of the mosques’ marbot can not be said to be fully prosperous because many aspects have not been fulfilled, but for the mosques’ marbot not only measures sustenance based on material ownership alone but also peace of mind that is obtained because they are always close to the mosque. On the other hand, the mosques have also provided rewards and facilities that are considered appropriate to support the life and performance of the mosques’ marbot.Keywords: welfare, mosque marbot, sharia maqashid

To Kill A Mockingbird

The aim of this study were to find out category shift types used in thetranslation of novel To Kill A Bird and to describe of how category shift is translatedin the novel from English into Indonesian. This study were conducted by usingdescriptive qualitative method. The data of the study were words, phrases, andclauses in the novel To Kill A Mockingbird which is translated into Indonesian byFemmy Syahrianni. It was found that there were 280 data in the novel from Englishinto Indonesian. The data analysis were taken by listing and bolding. Documentarysheets used as the instrument to collect the data. The data were analyzed based onMiles and Huberman (2014) by condensation which consists of selecting, focusing,simplifying, abstracting and transforming and then data display by using table inorder to get easy analyzing the data. The result of this study were (1) there were fourtypes of category shifts found in the novel To Kill a Mockingbird namely; structureshifts (36.78%), class shift (27.14%), unit shift (32.5%) and intra-system shift(3.27%). (2) The process of category shifts in the translation novel by havingmodifier-head in source language changed into head-modifier in target language,adverb in source language changed into verb in target language, one unit in sourcelanguage changed into some units in target language. and plural in source languagechanged into singular in target language.

Abstract The  problem  of this research is : How is the language development of children age 12 to 24 months in Semarang ?. The purpose of this study is to describe widely and deeply about language development the children age 12 to 24 in Semarang. The method used in this research is qualitative method. Data collection is done by observation, interviews, and questionnaire. Data analysis techniques using Miles Hubermen’s model. Checking the validity of the data using triangulation data. The results showed that the development of language of children aged 12 to 24 months in Semarang in expressive is: can produce sound almost perfect in several words; Some of the letters of the words missing from the pronunciation; The missing letters are usually consonants; Haven't been able to pronounce the letter s and r; In General, most people are able to understand the speech of the children is an adult who is close to the child; There is a word that can be spelled perfectly by the child. The words are by and large is the words that are simple and close to the children's daily lives. As for the generally receptive: children can follow and obey what is spoken by adults; The children seem to understand when the adults were talking about them; and children  can understand  to the words that they  heard more than that they can speak.   Keywords: Language, children, expressive, receptive, word.
