Amlapitta is a commonly encountered disease of Annavaha Srotasa (Gastrointestinal system) described in various Ayurvedic Text. According to Ayurveda Agni is one of the main principle of human health. And the Amlapitta disease cause by the Suppression in Agni; When the Amla Guna & Drava Guna is excessively increases in Pitta Guna; the disease Amlapitta is produce. Now-a-days it has become a 'Burning' problem in our Society. And this disease not only hampered physical health but also psychological and social health too.   In Ayurveda the first main principle of Chikitsa is starts with Nidanparivarjan (prevention of Disease). So to treat the disease in early stage, we have to focus on our healthy eating habbits. Pathya apathya is mention in Ayurveda is to prevent as well as to treat the disease. Pathya recommended in Amlapitta are mainly Laghu and Agnidipak ahar, i.e. Yava, Godhuma, Mudga Yusha , Puran Shali Shashtik, Lajamand etc. Apathya recommended in Amlapitta are Navanna, Mash , Kulathha, Dadhi etc. So this review article focus on Pathya (Wholesome regimen) And Apathya (Unwholesome regimen) in Amlapitta disease.

The core principles in Ayurveda give prime importance to Agni, Prakriti, Ahara (food) and Vihara (lifestyle) in maintaining health. Present era people are scheduled to one or the other works due to which they are following unrightful food and habits which lead the manifestation of one of the common disorder which troubles person a lot - Amlapitta. By excess “Hurry, Worry and Curry” GIT disorders are the most common, not only affecting physical health but also psychological and social health. Amlapitta is one of that and it is a burning problem of the whole World. Amalpitta is composed of word Amla and Pitta. Amlapitta is a very common disease caused by Vidagdha Pitta with features like Amlodgara, Tiktodgara, Hrit, Kantha Daha etc. Pathya recommended in Amlapitta are Yava, Godhuma, Purana Shali, Mudga Yusha, Lajasaktu etc. Apathya recommended in Amlapitta are Navanna, Avidugdha, Masha, Kulattha, Dadhi and etc. So this present review article throws light on Pathya (conducive) and Apathya (non conducive) in Amlapitta.

Nowadays, air pollution constitutes one of the most serious threats to human health and life. Poland belongs to the group of countries with the highest level of air pollution in the EU and OECD. The scale of the threat posed by air pollution shows its importance when it comes to the health security of the Polish citizens. However, the ongoing (political and scientific) debate on health security in Poland often ignores the problem of air pollution. The aim of the article is to 1) assess the threat currently posed by air pollution to health security in Poland, 2) locate the threat in the area of health security, and 3) analyse the process of transferring the problem of air pollution from the sphere of politics to the area of security, in accordance with the theory of securitization, developed by the Copenhagen School of Security Studies. Qualitative analysis of documents together with the application of the theory of securitization show that, in Poland, the state has started to play the role of an actor securitizing air pollution as an existential threat. Nevertheless, this process is at an early stage, and its further success depends, inter alia, on decisions and possibilities related to taking extraordinary measures to eliminate the threat posed by air pollution.

The vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) family, the regulator of blood and lymphatic vessels, is mostly investigated in the tumor and ophthalmic field. However, the functions it enjoys can also interfere with the development of atherosclerosis (AS) and further diseases like coronary heart disease (CHD). The source, regulating mechanisms including upregulation and downregulation, target cells/tissues, and known functions about VEGF-A, VEGF-B, VEGF-C, and VEGF-D are covered in the review. VEGF-A can regulate angiogenesis, vascular permeability, and inflammation by binding with VEGFR-1 and VEGFR-2. VEGF-B can regulate angiogenesis, redox, and apoptosis by binding with VEGFR-1. VEGF-C can regulate inflammation, lymphangiogenesis, angiogenesis, apoptosis, and fibrogenesis by binding with VEGFR-2 and VEGFR-3. VEGF-D can regulate lymphangiogenesis, angiogenesis, fibrogenesis, and apoptosis by binding with VEGFR-2 and VEGFR-3. These functions present great potential of applying the VEGF family for treating CHD. For instance, angiogenesis can compensate for hypoxia and ischemia by growing novel blood vessels. Lymphangiogenesis can degrade inflammation by providing exits for accumulated inflammatory cytokines. Anti-apoptosis can protect myocardium from impairment after myocardial infarction (MI). Fibrogenesis can promote myocardial fibrosis after MI to benefit cardiac recovery. In addition, all these factors have been confirmed to keep a link with lipid metabolism, the research about which is still in the early stage and exact mechanisms are relatively obscure. Because few reviews have been published about the summarized role of the VEGF family for treating CHD, the aim of this review article is to present an overview of the available evidence supporting it and give hints for further research.

The microbiota is the set of commensal microorganisms, residing in the organism, helping proper functioning of organs and systems. The role that the microbiota plays in maintaining the health of vertebrates is widely accepted, particularly in the gastrointestinal system, where it is fundamental for immunity, development, and conversion of nutrients. Dysbiosis is an alteration of the microbiota which refers to a disturbed balance, which can cause a number of pathologies. Probiotics have proven to be effective in modulating the microbiota of the gastrointestinal system and, therefore, in promoting the health of the individual. In particular, Lactobacilli are a group of Gram-positive bacteria, which are able to produce lactic acid through glucose metabolism. They are present in different microenvironments, ranging from the vagina, to the mouth, to different tracts of the small intestine. In the present review, we will discuss the use of Limosilactobacillus in human health in general and more specifically in diverticulitis. In particular we analyze the role of Limosilactobacillus reuteri and its anti-inflammatory action. For this review, articles were identified using the electronic PubMed database through a comprehensive search, conducted by combining key terms such as “diverticulitis”, “Limosilactobacillus reuteri”, “human health and disease”, “probiotics”. We selected all the articles published in the last 10 years and screened 1017 papers. Articles referenced in the screened papers were evaluated if considered interesting for our topic. Probiotics have proven to be effective in modulating the microbiota of the gastrointestinal system and, therefore, in promoting the health of the individual. The importance of probiotics in treating diverticular disease and acute diverticulitis can be further understood if taking into consideration some pathophysiological aspects, associated to the microbiota. L. reuteri plays an important role in human health and disease. The effectiveness of L. reuteri in stimulating a correct bowl motility partly explains its effectiveness in treating diverticulitis. The most important action of L. reuteri is probably its immunomodulating activity. Levels of IL-6, IL-8, and Tumor necrosis factor (TNF-alpha) are reduced after supplementation with different strands of Lactobacilli, while T-regulatory cells increase in number and activity. Anyway, new mechanisms of action of probiotics come to light from the many investigations currently taking place in numerous centres around the world and to improve how exactly probiotic administration could make the difference in the management of diverticular disease and acute diverticulitis.

Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder characterized by the presence of α-synuclein (α-Syn)-rich Lewy bodies (LBs) and the preferential loss of dopaminergic (DA) neurons in the substantia nigra (SN) pars compacta (SNpc). However, the widespread involvement of other central nervous systems (CNS) structures and peripheral tissues is now widely documented. The onset of the molecular and cellular neuropathology of PD likely occurs decades before the onset of the motor symptoms characteristic of PD, so early diagnosis of PD and adequate tracking of disease progression could significantly improve outcomes for patients. Because the clinical diagnosis of PD is challenging, misdiagnosis is common, which highlights the need for disease-specific and early-stage biomarkers. This review article aims to summarize useful biomarkers for the diagnosis of PD, as well as the biomarkers used to monitor disease progression. This review article describes the role of α-Syn in PD and how it could potentially be used as a biomarker for PD. Also, preclinical and clinical investigations encompassing genetics, immunology, fluid and tissue, imaging, as well as neurophysiology biomarkers are discussed. Knowledge of the novel biomarkers for preclinical detection and clinical evaluation will contribute to a deeper understanding of the disease mechanism, which should more effectively guide clinical applications.

Ayurveda isn’t solely restricted to body or physical symptoms however conjointly provide comprehensive data concerning mental and social health. Three factors are basically responsible for the origin of any kind of disease, these are Asatmaindriyartha Samyoga (excessive utilization or non-utilization or improper utilization of sense faculties), Prajnaparadha (Intellectual blasphemy) and Parinama (time). Balanced Doshas of mind regulates the emotion while disturbed Doshas of mind plays an important role in the pathogenesis of mental diseases. The increasing level of stress in today’s time gives a huge surge of Manovikara (mental disorder). In Ayurveda many references of Manas (mind) and treatment of Manovikara (mental disorder) are available which would be easy to understand and rewarding the field of treatment. Role of Swastavritta including Daivavyapasraya, Satwavajay, Naisthiki chikitsa and Yoga are very important in the management of Manovikara. In modern era we are at the grasp of Raja and Tama which are the root cause of mental disorder. So, it is necessary to understand the Manovikara (mental disorder), its causes, symptoms, prevention and management. Present article is a review article contains review of Manas (Mind) and Manovikara (Mental disorder) in Ayurveda.

Background: Oxidative stress and free radicals are harmful to human health. Reactive oxygen species are the major source of oxidative stress and are one of the major causes of cancer development. Cancer is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. Prolong use of synthetic chemotherapeutic due to their low bioavailability leads to systemic toxic side effects. To surmount this problem, the use of antioxidants is recommended as they have the ability to counteract oxidative stress and mitigate its effects on human health. They inhibit various pathways that are involved with the initiation and progression of cancer. Various nanoformulations have been used to deliver these antioxidants (curcumin, mangiferin, quercetin) in the treatment of various cancer for overcoming oxidative stress. Objective: The main focus of this review article is to illustrate various studies performed using nanocarriers of natural bioactives to overcome oxidative stress and the cancer associated with it. It also describes the pathways associated with the induction, initiation, and progression of cancer due to reactive oxidative species. Methods: Research articles that focused on the use of natural bioactives and their nanoformulations for the treatment of various cancers induced due to oxidative stress were collected from various search engines like PubMed, Science Direct, and Google Scholar, using keywords like oxidative stress, antioxidants, cancers, ROS, etc. Conclusion: Natural bioactives have shown great potential in overcoming oxidative stress for the treatment of various cancers, yet extensive research is required so that these antioxidants and their nanocarriers can be used for the welfare of mankind in the treatment of various cancers in the near future.
