This paper discusses the concept of management of character education in MTs Ma'arif NU Kemiri, the concept in question is the pattern of character formation of students with various supporting elements such as madrasa activities, rules or regulations, and content of Islamic education lessons that are applied in MTs Ma'arif NU Kemiri. In addition to these supporting elements, in order to shape the character of morality also has several strategies in supporting the achievement of character education management concepts such as: exemplary, learning, empowerment and acculturation, retention, and assessment.

This paper discusses the concept of management of character education in MTs Raudhatul Islamiyah Kemiri, the concept in question is the pattern of character growth of students with various supporting elements such as madrasa activities, rules or regulations, and content of Islamic education lessons that are applied in MTs Raudhatul Islamiyah Kemiri. In addition to these supporting elements, in order to grow the character of morality also has several strategies in supporting the achievement of character education management concepts such as: exemplary, learning, empowerment and acculturation, retention, and assessment. At this time Character becomes important for human life, especially for the next generation of nation. Therefore character education becomes important in school. However, the achievement of character values must be applied with good management. Character education management is a planned effort to make learners recognize, care and internalize the values so that learners are able to grow its character that consists of the process of planning, organizing, implementation and supervision.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pengelolaan pendidikan karakter dan problematika yang dihadapi Marhalah Aliyah Tarbiyatul Muallimien Al Islamiyah Al-Amien Prenduan dalam meningkatkan pembentukan karakter santri. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif lapangan. Adapun metode yang digunakan adalah metode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Dari metode ini kemudian peneliti olah dan analisis untuk memperoleh data atau informasi. Untuk keabsahan data peneliti menggunakan triangulasi dengan dua jalan yaitu: membandingkan data hasil pengamatan dengan hasil wawancara dengan triangulasi antar metode. Data-data yang diperoleh, peneliti menemukan proses pengelolaan pendidikan karakter di Marhalah Aliyah TMI Al Amien Prenduan mencakup tiga yaitu: pengelolaan peserta didik, pengelolaan tenaga pendidik, pengelolaan pembiayaan. Sedangkan problematika yang dihadapi Marhalah Aliyah dalam meningkatkan pembentukan karakter santri disebabkan oleh dua hal yaitu: latar belakang santri, menurunnya nilai karakter sebagian santri.Kata Kunci: Manajemen, Pendidikan KarakterAbstract: This study aims to determine the process of managing character education and the problems faced by Marhalah Aliyah Tarbiyatul Muallimien Al Islamiyah AlAmien Prenduan in improving the character formation of students. Researchers used a qualitative field approach. The method used is the method of interviewing, observation, and documentation. From this method then researchers though and analysis to obtain data or information. For the validity of the data the researcher uses triangulation with two ways: comparing data of observation result with interview result with triangulation between method. The data obtained, the researchers found the process of character education management in Seniour high school of TMI Al Amien Prenduan includes three, namely: management of learners, management of educators, management of financing. While the problems faced Seniour high school in improving the formation of pupil character is caused by two things: the background of students, the decline in the value of the character of some pupil.Keywords: Management, Character Education.

This study of the management of Islamic character education is the basis for developing the value of empathy for students of the Faculty of Science of Islamic Education and Teacher Training, Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University  Yogyakarta. Students must get education not only scientifically through Islamic character to develop their empathy values. This noble personality needs to be possessed by students. This is to create a comfortable, harmonious, pleasant atmosphere of life both when students are in the campus environment and off campus. This study uses a qualitative research model, to analyze the character of student empathy through Islamic education management studies based on questionnaires, observation, documentation, and interviews, and inductive analysis. The results of the Islamic character education management study show that students of the Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculty of the State Islamic University of Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta have a fairly good empathy character, which is assessed based on seven indicators of empathy. The most dominant empathy attitude of the student (83%) is the attitude of appreciation of other people who have done something correctly and the smallest (69%) done by the student is perception of others.

Abstract: The concept of character education becomes an offer to answer the phenomenon of immoral. Thus, the development of the concept of character education in accordance with regional characteristics is important to research. Dayah as the oldest Islamic educational institution in Aceh and with stories of success has proven successful in educated children's character. This study aims to find patterns of character formation for children in the Bustanul Ridha dayah, East Aceh Regency. This type of research is qualitative and used the phenomenological approach. The data collection techniques used interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed that the pattern of children's character formation used a comprehensive approach which was carried out through intracurricular and extracurricular learning. The strategy of character building puts forward the stages of moral (spiritual) inspiration compared to the stages of moral knowledge and moral feelings, and moral action in the concept of character education for children in the dayah. Keywords: : Character Education, Aceh Dayah, Islamic Education Institute Abstrak: Konsep pendidikan karakter lahir dan menjadi tawaran guna menjawab fonomena perilaku demoralisasi. Sehingga, pengembangan konsep pendidikan karakter yang sesuai dengan karakteristik kedaerahan menjadi penting untuk diteliti. Dayah sebagai sebuah lembaga pendidikan Islam tertua di Aceh dan secara stories of success telah membuktikan pembentukan karakter bagi anak-anak. Jadi, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan pola pembentukan karakter bagi anak di dayah Bustanul Ridha Kabupaten Aceh Timur. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi. Wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi menjadi metode dalam pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola pembentukan karakter anak menggunakan pendekatan komprehensif yang dilakukan melalui pembelajaran intrakurikuler dan ekstrakurikuler. Strategi pembentukan karakter mengedepankan tahapan penjiwaan moral (spiritual) dibandingkan tahapan pengetahuan moral, tindakan dan perasaan moral dalam konsep pendidikan karakter bagi anak di dayah. Kata Kunci : Pendidikan Karakter, Dayah Aceh, Lembaga Pendidikan Islam

Education management, including madrasas, is undergoing a fundamental change, especially in terms of paradigm it develops, i.e. applying bottom up management concepts with a primary focus on efforts to improve quality through autonomy, accountability, accreditation, and evaluation. This new paradigm is basically used to arouse motivation and to launch systems based on merit, transparency, and public accountability. Madrasa, as an Islamic educational institution, in addition to aligning themselves with changes in aspects of the management paradigm as mentioned above also still maintain its characteristics. This characteristic distinguishes between madrasas and general educational institutions. One such distinction is the application of management principles derived from the great sources of Islamic teachings, namely the Qur’an and Hadith. Using a qualitative approach and descriptive-analytical method, this study describes the application of the principles of Islamic education management by taking the locus of research at MI “Al-Mukminin” Kalangan Perak, Jombang Regency. This study tries to examine the extent to which this institution applies the principles of Islamic education management which includes such principles as shura, ikhlas, sidq, amanah, and taqwa. Based on data, which was explored in depth through interviews and observations, the study finds that MI “Al-Mukminin” has properly applied the principles of Islamic education management. In addition, the application of these principles is also in accordance with the vision, mission, and objectives of the madrasa.

This study aims to determine the implementation of Islamic education management at SMK Muhammadiyah Kajen. In this case, the researcher used a qualitative method with a phenomenology approach, collecting data through observation, interviews, and documents. In addition, to maintain data accuracy, researchers used data triangulation methods. While the research informants were the principal, teachers, and parents of students. The results of this study indicate that SMK Muhammadiyah Kajen implements: 1) Semangat Subuh, this culture is done to train students to obey congregational prayers and wake up in the morning; 2) Memorizing juz Amma, to get students used to always reading al-Qur'an every day; 3) Pesantren Ramadhan, namely Islamic activities about fikih, akidah akhlak, and sirah nabawiyah. In addition to strengthening student character, Islamic boarding schools are friendly and can also instill a culture of student literacy.Keywords: Character, Islamic Education, Islamic Literacy

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menelaah, mengetahui, dan memahami pengelolaan pendidikan karakter, kususnya bagi siswa SMA dan sederajat. Artikel ini merupakan kajian terhadap kondisi nyata yang berkembang di dunia pendidikan Indonesia, kususnya mengenai pengelolaan karakter siswa. Simpulan dari kajian ini adalah sebagai berikut: (1)edukasi dan pembentukan karakter terhadap anak yang dilakukan di sekolah, kelompok, dan masyarakat sosial  hendaknya menghindari pemaksaan kehendak dengan segala bentuk abuse; (2) pembentukan karakter yang salah satunya diprogramkan oleh pemerintah dengan menitipkan di instansi/lembaga militer perlu dikaji ulang secara mendalam; (3) proses pendidikan dan pengelolaan karakter akan lebih berhasil apabila mengikuti beberapa tahapan pengelolaan kesadaran integral.Kata kunci: kekerasan, dan pengelolaan karakter AVOIDING ABUSE IN MANAGING THE STUDENTS’ CHARACTERAbstractThis article aims to know, discover, and comprehend the character education management, especially of senior high school students and of those at the same level. Securing religious and multicultural character values ​​is very important to be instilled as early as possible through education. This is due to education not only providing increased intellectual ability, but also is responsible for integrating character values ​​in students. At least there are some aspects that need to be developed in the education phase of school children including intellectual aspects, emotional aspects, social aspects, physical aspects, aspects of movement, aesthetic aspects, and moral aspects. Based on this opinion it can be seen that the cultivation of religious and multicultural character values ​​in madrasa ibtidaiyah level students needs to be done in order to realize a future generation of adults and character. On the other hand, the cultivation of multicultural values ​​is also an urgent matter to do.This study aims to find a character education management model based on the integration of religious and multicultural values ​​in MI Banyumas Regency. The research method with research and development methods. The results of the study of the character education management model based on the integration of religious and multicultural values ​​that were developed effectively for use in character education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. The results of the t test through the paired t test method showed that there were significant differences between the character values ​​before and after the implementation of character education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. These results reinforce that character education is effectively used in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.

Abstract: Islamic education institutions in Indonesia face two challenges, namely; internal and external. Internally, Islamic education is faced with the classic problem of the low quality of human resources in education management. The causes include poor quality and education staff development and selectivity of education personnel. Furthermore externally, Islamic education institutions faced three major issues; globalization, democratization, and liberalization. The issue of globalization that is identical with market orientation and mechanism also affects the world of education. That way in education also includes awareness about how to attract and convince the community of the type and model of education. From here, the education world is ready or not ready to be involved in competition to gain public trust. To face these challenges Islamic Education institutions must maximally manage and empower all elements of management in the management of educational institutions. A good understanding of the elements of management can have an impact on the readiness of educational institutions to manage their institutions well in any condition to be the best and foremost.
