This article reports a qualitative action research study on the contribution of using songs and lyrics to integrate cultural understanding and language development in an English as a foreign language (EFL) class at a middle school. We observed that our learners had difficulty to understand and express themselves in English. The social and cultural context of the late 1960’s Hippie movement was the subject of the study through songs and lyrics. We offer our readers the most relevant literature and a synthesis of research reports on the subject to invite them to deepen in this topic. The findings of this qualitative study suggest that culture contextualized language and enhanced comprehension facilitates oral expression in EFL.

The relevance of the article is stipulated by the necessity to involve in jurisprudence the results of research obtained by intersectoral science – legal linguistics, the provisions of which are an important methodological basis for knowledge of law in postmodern society. The aim of the paper is to elucidate the importance of understanding law in modern conditions by means of legal and linguistic theory. It is noted that in the conditions of postmodern society objects and phenomena are perceived through different discourses, actualizing the issue of hermeneutics. Including in the field of epistemology of legal phenomena and processes. The papers of domestic scholars, the object of which is the issue of legal linguistics and which are divided into two groups are analyzed: papers of specialists in the field of linguistics (in these papers the attention of scholars focuses on linguistic features of legal texts - stylistics, morphology, etc.) and legal publications on certain aspects of legal linguistics. It is substantiated that within the framework of domestic jurisprudence the subject of legal and linguistic theory as a component of jurisprudence and, accordingly, the perception of law by means of the provisions of legal linguistics is poorly studied. Emphasis is placed on the fact that legal and linguistic theory, as a component of jurisprudence, provides an understanding of law, legal phenomena and processes by means of the social and cultural context in general and language, in particular, which connects it with theories of law understanding and law enforcement. It is the paradigmatic nature of legal and linguistic theory that allows us to perceive legal phenomena in a new way. It is emphasized that the legal and linguistic theory of jurisprudence does not consider law separately, language separately, and does not emphasize one of these objects; within it there is a single object - law and language. It is summarized that in the conditions of postmodern society there is a rethinking of social phenomena, including law. Hermeneutic interpretation becomes crucial epistemological tool of the humanities. In the awareness that legal phenomena and processes are not limited to the text of the legal act, and law is interpreted as an act of speech communication, it is legal linguistics that could become an adequate response to modern challenges.

Because educational printouts are valid as the social requirements imposed on the educational process, the laws that are observed in the organization and management of Education. The knowledge, qualifications, skills given to the students on the subject of a foreign language must be consciously, meticulously and firmly mastered by them. To do this, the teacher should draw great attention to the fact that the educational material that he gives is the curriculum, the curriculum should be explained in accordance with the individual age characteristics of the students, the achievement of greater participation of the members of the students ' intuition, the effective use of sighted weapons, technical means, the organization of practical activities of the For this reason, the theoretical basis of didactic printsips, their application in foreign language education by studying interpretation, some features were considered in the example of visual printsip.

The purpose of this study is to identify the real issues, causes and investigate the effective actions in helping the subject to move on. The subject experienced changes in behavior, emotions and thoughts after her eldest daughter had a stroke and unable to take care of herself. Now the subject has been abandoned by family members and the community of her residential area. She was considered an insane person as a result of her changes. This is qualitative study using Quranic therapy. Among the Al-Quran therapies that the subject undergoes are zikir munajat, recitation of Surah Yaasin and tahlil arwah. Subjects also read passages from surahs in the Qur'an such as Surah Al Baqarah by talaqi with the researcher. Psychodrama therapy was also administered. Findings showed that subjects acted positively when informed that authorities such as hospitals or the Social Welfare Department will take her to the care center for elderly and separated from being with her children. The subject’s aggressive level is more controlled after practising Quran and zikir munajat. The conclusion of the study found that the subject's level of thinking and emotions can be controlled and helped with appropriate therapy by an experienced therapist. Abstrak Tujuan kajian ini dijalankan adalah untuk mengesan isu sebenar yang dihadapi oleh subjek, mengenal punca dan seterusnya mengenal pasti tindakan yang berkesan dalam membantu subjek keluar dari persoalan yang sedang dihadapinya. Subjek dikatakan mengalami perubahan tingkahlaku, emosi dan fikiran selepas anak sulungnya diserang sakit stroke hingga tidak boleh mengurus diri. Kini subjek sudah diketepikan oleh ahli keluarga dan masyarakat kawasan perumahan. Beliau dianggap sebagai seorang yang tidak waras kesan perubahan tingkahlaku, pemikiran dan emosi yang ditunjukkan.  Kajian ini adalah kajian kualitatif melalui pendekatan temubual. Lima sesi kaunseling menggunakan terapi Al-Quran telah dijalankan terhadap subjek. Antara terapi Al-Quran yang subjek jalani ialah zikir munajat, bacaan Surah Yaasin serta tahlil arwah. Subjek juga membaca petikan surah dalam Al-Quran seperti Surah Al Baqarah secara talaqi dengan pengkaji. Terapi psikodrama juga dijalankan kepada subjek kajian. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan subjek lebih kerap bertindak positif jika dimaklumkan pihak berkuasa seperti hospital atau Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat (JKM) akan bertindak membawanya ke pusat jagaan orang tua tanpa bersama dengan anak-anak OKU. Tahap agresif subjek juga semakin terkawal apabila dipandu membacakan ayat-ayat suci Al Quran dan zikir munajat. Kesimpulan kajian mendapati tahap pemikiran serta emosi subjek masih waras, boleh dikawal dan dibantu pulih jika mendapat terapi yang sesuai oleh terapis berpengalaman.

This article is the result of a qualitative research following the characteristics of hermeneutical research aims to understand the training process of the English university professor, taking into account factors that affect and surround the social, economic, and cultural environment; in which the experience and the story of life, shape the professor. A historicity that allows the subject to be an actor of her own life, and from her experiences narrated, it is analyzed and a training path by which the subject under study obtained academic and life skills. All times and spaces in which the professor is exposed are interpreted to understand the whole process of training. Finally, it is evidenced how the professor’s training transcends beyond a simple classroom. The experience of life, lifestyle, family background, socio-cultural context are inseparable part of the training processes.

ABSTRACT Objective: to understand the nurse professional identity from a vygotskian perspective and to understand its implications in the education process of nursing students. Methods: theoretical-reflexive study, based on the historical-cultural approach of Lev Seminovich Vigotski. Results: the perspective of human cultural development defended by Vigotski can support an understanding of nurse professional identity as a complex psychological construction, which takes into account both the elements of the historical-cultural context that circumscribes the profession and the subject, as well as the set of psychological functions, developed by the subject in personal and professional relationships. Final considerations: the professional identity formation necessarily passes through the social relations that take place in formative process and it places the nursing professor in relief in the conduct of learning, which results not only in appropriations of attributes and codes, but also in students psychological development.

Social media as an Internet phenomenon, determines their place and level of popularity in the society, as a result of which the social networks are a resource with perspective pedagogical potential. The analysis of social media from the point of view of studying a foreign language and the possibility of their usage as a learning medium has been carried out. The most widespread and popular platforms have been considered and, based on their capabilities in teaching all types of speech activities, the “Instagram”, “Twitter”, and “Facebook” Internet resources have been selected as the subject of the research. The survey results show that the introduction of modern technologies, in particular the Internet, in the learning process creates ample opportunities for the effective organization of educational space and expanding communication capabilities.

The general model of the mechanism to shape social and professional competence in the process of teaching foreign languages at non-linguistic universities is presented. The problem of selecting the subject-specific content of teaching foreign languages is considered. The main ways of functioning of the model as the development of foreign language communicative competence in the social, cultural and professional areas of communication are defined. The efficiency of the model, on the basis of which social and professional communicative competence is formed, is analyzed. It has been proved that social and professional communicative competence is a means of mastering the social and professional competence of a specialist.

The article proposes that non-hierarchical participatory models in the lineage of community-based arts practice might offer interesting strategies for mainstream, professional Norwegian theatre today. The article argues that the P:UNKT project at Akershus Theatre initiated with the purpose of supporting integration in the region, offered a significant opportunity for the professional, state-funded theatre to enhance its relationship with the population. The research study demonstrates that the P:UNKT project entailed several dilemmas and tensions embedded in the social-cultural context that was challenging to negotiate. The analysis of the different perspectives involved will demonstrate that the project was not only potentially transformative for the non-professional participants but also for the host theatre itself. Through P:UNKT the theatre developed new ways of creating relationships and collaborations with the population in the region. This strengthened the audience infrastructure and the connectedness with the community. The article argues that the project potentially offered an opportunity for Akershus Theatre to develop innovative practices and to redefine its own purpose as an arts institution in a multicultural Norway in the twenty-first century.

Faced with new dynamics and new views of the socio‑cultural context of tourism, this essay seeks to carry out a brief reflection and analysis on the relationship between cultural identities and postmodern visions of tourist territories. The aim is to study the social practice of tourism in articulation with its actors, spaces, appropriations and larger social processes. In order to achieve the purpose of this essay, revision and critical analysis of pertinent bibliography on the subject was used, confronting different perspectives and views. Basic constructs built around the concept of cultural identities and their relationship with place and tourism are likewise questioned. Meanwhile, within the field of tourism research, models continue to be replicated where tourism is classified as a predator and banaliser of the local culture. Research along the axis of tourism and cultural geography is advocated to contemplate the new complex concptualisations within the triad of tourism, culture and territory.
