Researchers and practitioners have argued that human resource management practices have a positive impact on environmental outcomes. This is because green human resource management practices enhance a firm's environmental performance. Although studies do not explain how green initiatives can enable organisational sustainability, this chapter examines the influence of green human resource management practices on organisational sustainability in the context of Nigeria. The chapter adopted a discourse content analysis as a method of data collection. The chapter holds that organisational sustainability relies on green training intervention as the means of understanding and redressing the human environment with a view to achieving and sustaining a better quality of life. Conclusively, green human resource management practices target protecting the ecosystem, among others. The chapter recommended that sustainability could be achieved through employee green behaviour and eco-innovation at the industrial level.

Oxy-fuel combustion is a promising strategy to minimize the environmental impact of combustion-based energy conversion. Simple and flexible tools are required to facilitate the successful integration of such strategies at the industrial level. This study couples measured residence time distribution with chemical reactor network analysis in a close-to-reality combustor. This provides detailed knowledge about the various mixing and reactive characteristics arising from the use of the two different oxidizing streams.

Denim was produced in the city of Nîmes in France and was originally called the serge de Nîmes. The word denim is an English colloquialism of the French term: “denim.” Day by day Bangladesh denim sector very much developed and helps to increase productivity. Bangladesh have seen a significant increase in investing in denim fabric manufacturing, increasing the country’s production performance by reducing fabric dependence on imports. It is important due to its aspects of durability, and not easily torn which benefited physical laborers much. The government also plays a vital role in denim textile industry. This paper shows different section of denim textile industry such as: sewing section, cutting section, washing, IE and finishing department. The main aim of this paper is how to role all the section of denim textile industry. Textile education is insufficient without industry attachment, which bridges the gap between theoretical and practical aspects and acclimates students to the industrial world. We can gain about theoretical development on an industrial level from this attachment. We can understand more about the machines used in various departments, their technical specifications, characteristics, operating system, and so on, and we believe that without this type of industrial connection, it is impossible to obtain industry-based information about textile engineering adequately. The Industrial Attachment on Denim Manufacturing Technology was used to organize this study (sewing section, cutting, IE, washing section, CAD Section, and finishing department. Various operating procedures for the production of denim in the industry are presented in this paper. The technique and process of several procedures and processes are presented here such as machine specifications, manpower, maintenance, layout of the different section, dye processes and wet processes.

With the increase in plastic waste, recycling becomes an urgent necessity to reduce and revalue it. PVC is one of the most widely used types of plastic in the world, and indeed it is among the most recycled. The effect of recycling on PVC or any other type of material is to reduce these characteristics, which also depends on the method by which it is recycled. Finding a way to increase the recyclability number of PVC by improving the mechanical characteristics will be an addition at the level of scientific research as well as at the industrial level. The addition of a bio-loading in the form of cow horns, coconut or chicken feathers on the rigid and flexible PVC with an experimental study of the results obtained allow to deduce the most adequate bio-loaded material to improve the mechanical characteristics after recycling. The experiments carried out on rigid and flexible PVC demonstrated the evolutions brought to PVC with and without loading after recycling The results obtained showed an improvement in the mechanical properties of rigid and flexible PVC with a natural bio-loading with the three fibers of coconut, cow horns and chicken feathers which enhance the environment, are very light and can be collected. directly from the waste with a large amount.

Ethanol (also called ethyl alcohol, grain alcohol, drinking alcohol, or simply alcohol) is an organic chemical compound S. cerevisiae is the most employed yeast for ethanol production at the industrial level though ethanol is produced by an array of other yeasts, bacteria, and fungi. This paper reviews the current and nonmolecular trends in ethanol production using S. cerevisiae. Ethanol has been produced from a wide range of substrates such as molasses, starch-based substrate, sweet sorghum cane extract, lignocellulose, and other wastes The study was carried out on ethanol production from Immobilized Saccharomyces cerevisiae The immobilization was done with calcium chloride and sodium alginate the beads were formed. Fermentation was carried out for 7 to 8 days at 28°C then distillation was done and final ethanol produce was checked with an alcohol meter and ethanol produce was 13% from immobilized Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The process parameters optimized were substrate conc, pH, and urea conc. The values of the process parameters are 30% substrate conc, pH 4.5, and urea conc 0.5%.

This work was aimed to produce an “active” food ice to preserve its microbiological safety over time. With this in mind, ice cubes were processed with the addition of H2O2 to water before freezing. Four food ice productions were performed at the industrial level: one control trial without the addition of H2O2 (0OX) and three experimental trials obtained by adding 4, 8, and 12 mg/L of H2O2 (4OX, 8OX, and 12OX), respectively. After production, all food ice trials were artificially contaminated with 102 CFU/100 mL of water-borne pathogenic bacteria (Escherichia coli ATCC 25922, Enteroccus faecalis ATCC 29212, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 27853) inoculated individually. Thawed ice samples were then subjected to microbiological analyses performed by the membrane filtration method and the results indicated that only trial 12OX was able to inactivate all bacteria strains. In conclusion, the addition of 12 mg/L H2O2 represents an optimal cost-effective strategy to preserve the microbiological stability of food ice even when it is improperly handled after production.

Drying has an enormous impact on the quality of final masonry clay elements. The accumulated knowledge about modeling the drying process, as well as the registered progress in computing the coupling between the heat and mass transfer during the last decade has reached the applicative industrial level. The available novel commercial drying solutions have dropped the drying cycle to 5 hours for hollow clay products and up to 9 hours for clay blocks of large size and weight. The ability to speed up the drying process also strongly depends on the properties of the raw materials. The decision on optimization of the existing dryer and its upgrade or investment in a novel drying facility must be experimentally validated. Results of the one-month monitoring and analysis of the production process in one Serbian brick factory including the material and energy balances are given in this paper. Based on the collected data, raw material limitations and costs of the novel dryer the existing tunnel dryer upgrade and the minimization of the "false" ambient air into the dryer are proposed.

This research focused on the impact of media industry on other sectors of the economy. Advertising is considered as a basic implementation mechanism of media’s economic impact on the economy. The study used the original classification of the effects of economic impact on the market at all levels, developed by the author. It examined the highest level of advertising associated with the shift in market structure and economic interactions of its members and elements. The effects of this type — tertiary ones — include not only changes in the properties of equilibrium due to advertising, but also the emergence of new types of market participants whose economic activity is determined exclusively by advertising-related goals. To describe such effects, models of marketing channels are used — a special kind of production chains that connect the preceding and subsequent units with the help of contracts for advertising and promotional activities, and models of multi-sided markets, complementing the analysis with the study of the behavior of intermediary firms that place advertisements in the media. and linking producers and consumers. Classical models of two-sided markets, considering media as platforms connecting consumers with producers, do not consider the simultaneous consumption of goods and content by the audience and the nature of the producing firms’ problems. Therefore, in this paper, the focus of the study was on the models of a three-sided market, which includes three types of participants (consumers, media firms and industrial firms). It is proposed to put such models of intersectoral relations as the basis for quantitative methods of strategizing the media system, including at the national level. At the level of strategizing of individual media enterprises or holdings, the proposed model makes it possible to predict the long-term strategies of competitors. At the industrial level of strategy development, the proposed methodology makes it possible to build key indicators that determine the strategic priorities of the industry development based on the properties of the three-sided market equilibrium.

This study aimed to analyze the cryoprotective effect of a ovalbumin (OVA) and β-cyclodextrin (βCD) mixture (3:1, OVA/βCD) on the structure, rheology and gelling properties of myofibrillar proteins (MPs) during 90 days of frozen storage. A mixture of OVA/βCD at different concentrations (0, 2, 4, and 6%) was added to MPs and stored at −18 °C for 90 days. The addition of OVA/βCD significantly decreased the sulfhydryl contents while it increased the surface hydrophobicity, which was closely connected with tertiary structural changes. Circular dichroism analysis showed that the addition of OVA/βCD enhanced the stability of the secondary structure by inhibiting the decline in the α-helix. Rheological properties analysis indicated that 6% OVA/βCD treatment showed better storage modulus (G’) and loss modulus (G”). In addition, treatment of OVA/βCD showed better gel forming properties than the control group (0%), helping to form a homogeneous and denser gel network. The results proved that 6% OVA/βCD could be act as a promising cryoprotectant, which can improve the structure and gel behavior of Culter alburnus MPs during frozen storage. Moreover, OVA/βCD could be a potential alternative to conventional cryoprotectants at the industrial level to increase the economic and commercial values of seafood products.
