<p>The vulnerability of communities in facing volcano disaster is one of the indicators of the low literacy of science. The low knowledge about volcanic material causes it needs to be packed in an attractive learning so that it can tap into the ability of students’ science literacy by using teaching materials that are closer to student learning environments. This research aims to develop the local wisdom-based natural science module on the theme of Mount Kelud eruption, which is both theoretical and empirical. The type of this research development is Research and Development (R &amp; D) by adapting the ASSURE instructional design. The results of this research are the validation results of theoretical feasibility of teaching materials based on the components of material feasibility of 87, 5% with very good category, components of presentation feasibility of 91, 7% with very good category, components of language feasibility of 88, 9% with very good category, components of local wisdom values of 87, 5% with very good category, and components of science literacy feasibility of 88, 9% with 88, 9% with very good category. The results of empirical feasibility are the test results of students’ science literacy with N-gain variation value of 0,2; 0,3; and 0,4 respectively with low, medium, and medium category. The results show that the developed local wisdom-based natural science module is suitable to improve the ability of students’ science literacy either theoretically or empirically.</p>

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Siswa Matematika berdasarkan strategi metakognitif. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model Dick &  Carey.  Proses  penelitian  ini  dilakukan  dalam  urutan  aktivitas sebagai berikut: 1. Melakukan analisis kebutuhan, 2) menentukan tujuan instruksional umum, 3) menentukan peta kompetensi, 4) meninjau   karakteristik   dan   latar   belakang   peserta   didik,   5) menentukan tujuan instruksional yang spesifik , Penilaian, 7) menentukan strategi pembelajaran, 8) menentukan materi pembelajaran, 9) melakukan evaluasi formatif, dan terakhir 10) melaksanakan evaluasi sumatif dan difusi inovasi pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menghasilkan bahan ajar dalam bentuk Lembar Kerja Siswa Abstract: This research aims to develop Mathematics Student Worksheet based on Metacognitive Strategy. This research method is research development by using model of Dick & Carey. The process of this research is conducted in order of relevance as follows: 1. analysis results, 2) understanding of general instructional goals, 3) understanding of the map, 4) understanding of the characteristics and background of learners, 5) determination of specific instructional goals, assessment, 7) determination learning strategies, 8) determining learning materials, 9) conducting formative evaluations, and finally 10) implementing summative evaluations and. This study produces teaching materials in the form of Student Worksheet.

Abstrak: Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan; (1) Bagaimanakah mengembangkan bahan ajar Kegiatan Asmika Yang Sesuai Kurikulum KTSP untuk lingkaran masa paskah? (2) Apakah keefektifan bahan ajar Kegiatan Asmika Yang Sesuai Kurikulum KTSP yang dikembangkan lebih tinggi dibanding bahan ajar dalam pelajaran Agama Katolik di kelas?. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model pengembangan Dick & Carey. Produk yang dihasilkan adalah sebuah bahan ajar yang merupakan buku pegangan untuk para pendamping kegiatan Asmika, bahan ajar Kegiatan Asmika Sesuai Kurikulum. Hipotesis yang diajukan: jika thit < ttabel maka kompetensi siswa setelah menggunakan bahan ajar Kegiatan Asmika Sesuai Kurikulum (KASK) untuk lingkaran masa Paskah lebih kecil atau sama dengan kompetensi siswa yang diajar di sekolah. Bila thit >  ttabel maka kompetensi siswa setelah menggunakan bahan ajar Kegiatan Asmika Sesuai Kurikulum (KASK) untuk lingkaran masa Paskah lebih besar dari kompetensi siswa yang diajar di sekolah. Dengan thit = 6,5 sedangkan ttabel = 2,021 menunjukkan bahwa thit lebih tinggi dibanding ttabel. Hasil uji efektivitas ini menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar Kegiatan Asmika Sesuai Kurikulum layak untuk diterapkan dan dipakai di kegiatan Asmika Gereja Katolik St. Yusuf Tebing Tinggi. The study aims to determine the feasibility of local wisdom based booklet teaching materials in Maliran forest on biodiversity material for class X students. The type of research used in study is research and development research. The development model used is the Thiagarajan, dkk. (1974) which is limited to develop stage. The booklet is validated by a team of experts including material experts, media expert, and linguistic.. The results of the validation by the expert team get an average percentage of 75,3% with a decent category. The readability test results by class XI students get a percentage of 78% with a decent category. Based on the result of the validation that has been obtained, it shows that the local wisdom-based booklet teaching material in Maliran forest is worthy of being in biodiversity material for class X students.

Technological advances are not new for students in Indonesia, whether they use electronic learning media in their daily lives or not. One example is the application of electronic modules. This study aims to determine the comparison of the print modules and the e-modules. This type of research is comparative research. Comparative research is research that compares the object under study. The method used in this study is a quantitative method using a survey research design. The sample of this research is class IV students, totaling 22 people. Data analysis used descriptive and inferential statistics, namely analyzing data by describing the data that has been collected. The results of this study were from the two teaching materials applied, namely the printed module and the electronic module, it was possible to see indicators of reading fondness characters. In the study, the dominant results were good for looking at indicators of reading fondness characters with the application of electronic modules, while for the application of print modules in the sufficient category, it can be seen that there are differences between the two teaching materials that are applied to see indicators of reading fondness characters, this is reinforced by the test results t that has been done, where the obtained sig is smaller than 0.05 then there is a difference between the two. So the electronic module based on local wisdom needs to be applied by teachers to instill the character of reading fondness among students.

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of simple KIT-based media in improving student learning achievement in dynamic electricity material. The sample used was the students of class grade 12 of IPA-3 Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Mojokerto, totaling 35 students. The type of research used is research development (Research and Development). The research data were obtained from questionnaire responses during learning and the results of the pre-test and post-test. The questionnaire's responses were as many as 85.14% of students who thought that the development of KIT-based learning media was very effective in using dynamic electricity learning. Moreover, as many as 14.85% think that KIT-based learning media is creative and interactive learning and is an additional supplement in the teaching and learning process. From the test results given to students, there was a significant increase in students' achievements. This indicator can be seen from the t count value is smaller than the t table (t count <t table), then H1 (learning with media treatment) can be applied in learning. Another indicator is that the value of p-value is smaller than alpha 5% (0.05) Ho (learning without treatment) is rejected, so it is concluded that there is a significant increase between learning outcomes before using Simple KIT-based media after implementing learning media using simple KIT

This development aims to develop teaching materials for writing short stories with adobe flash SMP Class IX. The scope of this development is limited only to planning, material and evaluation in the learning process. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D), using a development research design using the Brog & Gall model. Teaching material development results obtained material expert test results 82% were declared feasible, media expert test 86% were declared feasible, small group field test 80% declared good, a large group field test 82.3% was declared good. So overall the data obtained from the development of instructional materials with adobe flash media is declared feasible, teaching materials with adobe flash media are effective in increasing motivation, focus and responsiveness while the evaluation results provide increased student ability in writing short stories.

Character education become a critical issue in the development of educationin Indonesia. This article aims to: (1) identify the problems which faced by teachers; (2)identify the factors determinant cause “deviant behavior” among students; (3) develop anearly model of character education based socio-cultural; (4) analyze effectiveness of theeducational models. The method used, that is Research Development. This article showsthat the teacher in the learning process is still less explores the socio-cultural values ofMinahasa. There are internal and eksternal factors causing deviant behavior among thestudents. Based on these findings, it has developed Model of Character Education Basedon Socio-Cultural Values. Development models have produced syllabus, lesson plansand Teaching Materials of PPKn. Expected future conducted similar studies relevant toexpand the development of syllabus, lesson plans and Teaching Materials in the school’senvironment in Minahasa.

Surabaya Shipping Polytechnic emphasizes on certain areas of expertise that Taruna must possess. This is the basis after graduating from shipping polytechnics, cadets must have expertise and skills. The purpose of this study was to study the effect of inquiry, discovery learning, and creativity levels on the ability to write descriptive essays on nautical and technical cadets at Surabaya Shipping Polytechnic. This type of research is research. This research uses quantitative methods using experiments. The location used in this research is Surabaya Shipping Polytechnic. The subjects in this study were the cadets of the Nautika A, Nautika B, Teknika A, and Teknika B. classes. Based on the results of the research and discussion, the following conclusions are obtained: There are those that can be solved looking for description essays in the cadets. learning discovery method. The test results show better investigation methods than the discovery of learning, There is a difference in the ability to write a description essay about cadets who have a high level of creativity with cadets who have a low level of creativity, the test results show better who have a high level of creativity, there are related with learning methods and descriptions of the ability to write essay descriptions, the test results show learning methods and creativity descriptions of the ability to write essay descriptions.

Abstract This research aims to produce science teaching materials in junior level with Energy in The Body as the theme using Four Steps Teaching Material Development  (4STMD). The material is presented in an integrated way so that students can  think holistically and contextually. The method used in this study is Research and Development. In this R&D methods is used 4STMD. There are four steps done on the development of teaching materials, the selection step, structuring step, characterization, and didactic reduction. Selection step includes the selection of indicators in accordance with the demands of the curriculum which is then developed with the selection of concepts and values that are integrated with the concept of science. Structuring step includes make macro structures, concept maps, and multiple representations. Characterization's step includes preparation instruments, then  trial to students to identify difficult concepts. The last, didactic reduction was done by neglect and the annotations in the form of sketches.The test results readability aspect instructional materials lead to the conclusion that by determining the main idea, the legibility of teaching materials reached 67%, with moderate readability criteria. Test results of feasibility aspects based on the results of questionnaires to the 11 teachers lead to the conclusion that the overall, level of eligibility teaching materials reached 91% with the eligibility criteria well. Keywords: teaching materials; energy; 4STMD Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar IPA SMP pada tema Energi dalam Tubuh menggunakan metode Four Steps Teaching Material Development (4STMD). Materi disajikan secara terpadu sehingga memacu siswa untuk berpikir secara holistik dan kontekstual. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan. Dalam penelitian dan pengembangan yang ini, digunakan metode Four Steps Teaching Material Development (4STMD). Terdapat empat tahap yang dilakukan pada pengembangan bahan ajar, yakni tahap seleksi, strukturisasi, karakterisasi, dan reduksi didaktik. Tahap seleksi meliputi pemilihan indikator yang sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum yang kemudian dikembangkan dengan pemilihan konsep dan nilai yang diintegrasikan dengan konsep IPA. Tahap strukturisasi meliputi pembuatan struktur makro, peta konsep, dan multipel representasi dari materi. Tahap karakterisasi meliputi penyusunan instrumen karakterisasi, kemudian uji coba kepada siswa untuk mengidentifikasi konsep sulit. Tahap terakhir, yaitu reduksi didaktik konsep terhadap konsep sulit. Reduksi didaktik yang dilakukan berupa pengabaian dan penggunaan penjelasan berupa sketsa. Hasil uji aspek keterbacaan bahan ajar menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa berdasarkan penentuan ide pokok, keterbacaan bahan ajar mencapai 67%, dengan kriteria keterbacaan tinggi. Hasil uji aspek kelayakan berdasarkan hasil angket terhadap 11 orang guru menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa secara keseluruhan tingkat kelayakan bahan ajar mencapai 91% dengan kriteria kelayakan baik sekali. Researchers chose a modified free inquiry model to help improve students’ fluency and elaboration. The purpose of this research is to know the application of modified free inquiry which can improve the student’s fluency and elaboration of students’ thinking on trigonometric material. Research method in this research is qualitative research method and research type is research of class action. The data in this study were obtained from the results of validation, test results, observation of teacher and student activity, and interview result, then apply data triangulation and theory to check the validity of data. The results showed an increase in fluency and elaboration in students. This means that a modified free inquiry model can help improve students’ fluency and elaboration in trigonometric learning. The results are supported by the observation of teacher and student activity that is in accordance with the lesson plan and also the result of the interview which get positive response from the students.Keywords: modified free inquiry, fluency and elaboration, mathematics
