The professional identity of student nurses may fluctuate or even disintegrate when exposed to clinical realities. A self-identity must be integrated firstly with new expectations and modified within a social context to form a professional identity. In the process of developing a professional identity, student nurses either develop a self-concept within a professional role based on attributes, beliefs, values, motives, experiences, morals and ideals of who and what a nurse is, or lack to develop in this role. This study targeted to investigate the perceptions of Saudi student nurses in the evolution of a professional identity. A non-probabilistic and descriptive approach was selected for data collection. A Nurses Professional Identity Scale was constructed by the researcher to explore the evolution of a professional identity as perceived by Saudi student nurses. Mean scores indicated the importance of the self-presentation, self-image, self-esteem, self-categorization and self-concept as dimensions, which facilitates a professional identity. The p-values obtained for all the factors were less than the level of significance (p-value<0.05), which indicated the importance of all the associated factors. The significance of how student nurses identify themselves as professionals during the Baccaulearate program in various role formation has been emphasized. These roles are still undervalued by society and influences stereotypical attitudes.

This article reveals the theoretical basis of the self-concept and the Self-identity image study in psychology and emphasizes that the tendency to analyze oneself, the need to generalize and systematize knowledge about oneself, to relate one’s self-image to an ideal one as well as self-education, self-esteem are the most important characteristics for the formation of a future specialist. The article analyzes the works of foreign and domestic psychologists, such as R. Burns, W. James, V. S. Agapov, who give us various approaches to the problem of the self-concept and its structural components. The authors investigate the ideas about ‘self’ and the ideal image of an Orthodox theologian among the students majoring in the Orthodox theology. It is noted that there is very little research on the personal characteristics of the students majoring in theology, and studying the idea of oneself and the ideal image of a future theologian is not only of a theoretical interest, but it is also connected with the increasing efficiency of solving the problems with specialists` formation. The paper presents the results of an empirical study concerning the students majoring in theology from junior to senior years basing on the methods of diagnosing interpersonal relations by T. Leary. The results show us that the efficiency of the professional training and the professional development of a future theologian depends on the meaning and importance of the profession for the given person, and how the future specialist relates themselves to it. The comparative analysis of an one`s self image and an ideal image formation among the students majoring in theology generally indicate the development of subjectivity, a critical attitude toward oneself, and a desire to improve oneself.

Sociology could be described as the study of social structures and social institutions, and sociological work is often divided into topics such as class structure, the family, crime and deviance, and religion. But how is sociology distinctive? ‘Social constructions’ examines what constitutes sociology. Biology provides a useful starting point because if we can understand the extent to which the biology of most animals determines their lives, and then appreciate the extent to which it fails to do so for humans, we can see the importance of culture. It concludes that reality is socially constructed, our behaviour has hidden social causes, and much of social life is profoundly ironic.

The results revealed that Bobo magazine had implied self-concepts in the published stories. Among them, such as self-identity related to the labels attached by other characters as well as the character's desire to be what kind of self; personal behavior related to the views of other characters and figures in viewing their behavior; and self-judgment related to the acceptance or rejection of the character's behavior. Then, the physical self-concept associated with gender and character skills; moral self-concept related to the character's ability to control his behavior; personal self-concept related to good relations between characters; family self-concept related to the character's relationship with his family members; and social self-concept related to the character's relationship with his peers. The method of developing self-image in the context of psychological education is character building based on the concept of Islamic education based on unity and discipline. Integrated Dayah Integrated Law in an effort to develop its image emphasizes the integration of values, namely knowledge transformation, skills development, and value planting. The research instrument used was an open interview aimed at obtaining multiple perspectives on motivation to participate in religious activities. This is based on efforts to improve the quality of religious teachers as a top priority. The results showed that the imagery of the Integrated Dayah Ustad can be realized in the life of the dayah because it is influenced by the internal and external factors of the family, namely the influence outside the home or social institutions that support the community. However, the existence of dayah leaders who remain in their hearts, namely educating and passing on their knowledge and modeling them to other religious teachers, will show that the image of the Integrated Dayah ustaz still exists in contemporary society.

The production, sale, and purchase of counterfeit apparel are illegal and unethical and in most cases are secret activities. Despite a number of campaigns to discourage piracy of various merchandise, the fashion industry in Pakistan is unable to weed out this bug from the markets. This study intends to examine the association between the consumption of counterfeit goods and the construction of self-identity. The paper, drawing upon thirty-six detailed interviews with female participants who owned both branded apparel and their copies, argues that the purchase and consumption of counterfeit apparel provides real and symbolic benefits to consumers, which contributes to the creation of their identity and projection of their desired social self-image. Participants described three important benefits that can be enjoyed through the consumption of counterfeit apparel: to be efficient by utilizing limited resources to the fullest; to have fun by going through risk, enjoyment and adventure; and to mislead others by hiding the reality of their clothes. Research findings indicate that In addition, when consumers of counterfeit apparel successfully accomplish these goals, they are able to construct a confident self-identity through which they portray themselves as savvy consumers to others. The present study can enrich and update the existing body of knowledge regarding the consumption of counterfeit products. It can also enable apparel manufacturers to tap into the psyche and motivations of consumers who purchase counterfeit apparel and too can provide them with guidelines to attract and retain consumers.

The presence of these diseases influences their self-image and self-esteem. This study aimed to identify the effects of chronic diseases on self-esteem and self-image in the group of elderly people. Methods: A quantitative research design using a structured questionnaire was employed, where Rosenberg questionnaire with an adapted measurement scale was used for evaluating self-esteem, while Marsh’s adjusted Multidimensional self-concept scale was used for assessing self-image. Results: The survey involved 51 respondents: 25.5% were male, and 74.5% were female, the average age of the respondents was 77.0 years. 60.8 % of them reported high blood pressure, 31.4% rheumatism, 25.5% osteoporosis and 23.5% diabetes. “Rheumatism” was statistically significantly associated with two elements of self-esteem: the “athletic self-esteem” and “inclusion”, whereas the claim for self-assessment “I can do things as good the majority of other people” was associated to the incidence of  “diabetes”. Conclusions: The results of our study indicate that rheumatism, as a most common chronic disease among this population, has a significant impact on some elements of self-image and self-esteem.
