This study aims to deepen the value and benefits of character education for young people, especially among adolescents who are generally seventeen years old. And its relevance in the lives of teenagers today. The character education of young people is a major issue in Indonesia today. This arises through a phenomenon that often occurs among adolescents and is quite disturbing to society. Some of the phenomena that arise are children becoming unable to accept other people's opinions openly and kindly, lack of listening to parental advice, becoming thugs and drug addicts. This is triggered by the lack of character education that should be built from an early age. If a child grows up in a harmonious, harmonious and peaceful condition and situation, of course the child will have a good character, be able to listen to parental advice, and will have dreams in the future. This situation will be compared upside down when the child gets the opposite or less good educational process. The method I use in this research is to conduct a critical analysis by examining character development in adolescence. As material in this reflection, I use some theories sourced from several books as references to help explain the meaning and importance of character education for young people. Through this study I came to the conclusion that character education plays a very important role in understanding and finding solutions for the good and bad tendencies of young people, especially adolescents.

This article covers the easiest ways to learn a foreign language for the children at an early age. It includes activities that may interest children and teach them to think in English. If we use these methods in teaching young people, if we can increase their interest in learning the language, in the future they would not only become masters of their profession, but also have the opportunity to expand their abilities even more. The purpose of this article is to increase the interest of many people in learning a language with the help of task- based learning approach and project-based learning approach.

Children are the next generation of the nation, the existence of children is very important because the child is a potential fate of the nation as well as a mirror attitude of life of the nation in the future. A child who is a superior seed and has the widest hope to prepare for his future as a milestone of success of a nation in the future should not fall in the world of evil. It is unfortunate that children at an early age have been involved in criminal offenses and past their youth behind bars, increasingly contaminated with other inmates. This research was empirical legal research, that is the research on the provisions of the legislation in the national law concerning restorative approach in the imposition of action sanctions against children in conflict with law in order to keep children away from imprisonment and negative stigma in society . Addressing the issue of a child in conflict with the law should be done in a familial approach and avoiding children from prison as much as possible. The sanction of action for the child contained in Article 82 of Law Number 11 of 2012 on Criminal Justice System for Children expected to prevent the child from the negative stigma in society and keep the children from bad effects of prison. Thus the current restorative model of punishment is more applicable in handling child offenders. It is expected that law enforcement officers to pay attention to the provisions of the rules that apply to children in conflict with the law in terms of imposition of more sanctions toward education and character development of children so that the threat of imprisonment becomes the last alternative in imposing sanctions for children

The implementation of character education for a nation is an absolute thing that must be realized, including in Indonesia. This is because the purpose of education is to form the character of the noble human being. A nation that has qualified generation supported with their good morals will be a great nation, be upheld by other nations, and become a prosperous nation. Character development was nationally declared by Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in 2010 with the hope that the quality of Indonesian human character would increase. Over time, however, it turns out that the reality is far from the hope. Many immoral conducts are conducted by students. This indicates that the implementation of character education in Indonesia has not been entirely successful. The problem is actually not on the values of the characters that are offered, but it is on the process of conveying and transferring the character that needs to be repaired and upgraded in order to be more effective. In addition, all educators and people in general need to understand the urgency and the concept of character education in order to have clear and definite direction when implementing this character education. Therefore, there should be an effective character education as an alternative solution in dealing with problems of character education in this country. This is really needed to achieve its goal to create a good quality young people both in moral and intellectual and to achieve nation dignity. Pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter bagi suatu bangsa merupakan hal mutlak yang harus diwujudkan termasuk Indonesia, karena tujuan dari pendidikan karakter adalah untuk membentuk insan yang berakhlak mulia. Ketika suatu bangsa memiliki generasi yang berkualitas yakni dengan akhlak mereka yang baik, maka bangsa tersebut akan menjadi bangsa yang besar, dijunjung tinggi oleh bangsa lain, dan menjadi bangsa yang sejahtera. Pembangunan Karakter secara nasional dideklarasikan oleh Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono pada tahun 2010 dengan harapan kualitas karakter manusia Indonesia semakin meningkat. Namun seiring berjalannya waktu ternyata realita berbicara lain. Justru kini banyak terjadi tindakan amoral yang pelakunya berasal dari kalangan pelajar. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter di Indonesia belum sepenuhnya berhasil. Permasalahannya bukan pada nilai-nilai karakter yang ditawarkan, akan tetapi proses menyampaikan dan mentransfer karakter itulah yang perlu diperbaiki dan ditingkatkan agar dapat berjalan dengan efektif. Selain itu, setiap pendidik atau masyarakat pada umumnya perlu untuk memahami urgensi dan konsep pendidikan karakter agar pada saat mentransfer karakter tersebut telah memiliki arah yang jelas dan pasti. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan pendidikan karakter yang efektif sebagai solusi alternatif dalam menghadapi permasalahan pendidikan karakter di negeri ini sehingga tujuan pendidikan karakter yang diharapkan yakni demi tercipta generasi muda yang berkualitas baik secara moral maupun intelektual serta bisa menjadi bangsa yang bermartabat dapat tercapai.

The article considers the organization of psychological and pedagogical work with freshmen. Specifically, during student life, young people are further socialized in the system of relations in the new social adult environment. In this regard, young people must be actively involved in the educational process in higher education, successfully cope with the requirements for learning, and gain a set of necessary competencies that can be successfully applied in practice in the future. The main freshmen's problems are outlined a new system of education; another mode, load and requirements; new social role; relationships with classmates and teachers; problems in the social and household plan; independent living in conditions for out-of-town students. The analysis of the scientific literature allowed us to conclude that a significant potential for solving the problem of students' adaptation in a higher education institution is social advertising. Thus, by social advertising, we mean information of any kind, disseminated in any form, which is aimed at achieving socially useful goals, the promotion of universal values and the dissemination of which is not for profit. The role of social advertising as an important condition for students' successful adaptation on the example of the Faculty of Social and Psychological Education of Uman State Pedagogical University has been revealed. Already implemented forms of work at the faculty are: 1) annual competition of student and pupil scientific works «Family from A to Z»; in the nominations: scientific works; social projects (implemented or designed); social advertising (print, photo or video); 2) competition «The best social poster»; 3) Competition of social advertising in the form of short video works; 4) Festival of student creativity «Social worker of the future» in the framework of the social project «Make a dream come true». Thus, it can be argued that social advertising plays an important role in the students' adaptation, their formation as future professionals. Students master the necessary skills and abilities, which include the ability to work in a team, establish contacts, manage their time properly, show leadership qualities and persuade the interlocutor.

ABSTRAK   Pendidikan karakter harus dimulai sejak dini. Karena anak-anak adalah generasi penerus bangsa. Pembentukan karakter sejak usia dini sangat mempengaruhi karakter masa depan bangsa ini. Membangun karakter akan tumbuh dengan baik, jika dalam proses pertumbuhan mereka mendapat perhatian dan bimbingan dari orang tua dan sekolah. Mengelola karakter anak-anak tidak cukup hanya melalui pembelajaran di kelas, tetapi sekolah harus menerapkan sebuah pembelajaran melalui pembiasaan atau budaya sekolah. Kegiatan pembiasaan yang dilakukan oleh Madrasah Tebas Parit Jawai, Kabupaten Sambas bukan hanya memberikan perintah, tetapi guru memberikan contoh praktis secara langsung  kepada anak-anak   Kata Kunci : Manajemen, Karakter, Anak.   ABSTRACT   Character education must begin early. Because children are the future generation of the nation. Formation of characters from an early age greatly influences the future character of this nation. Character building will grow well, if in the process of growth they get attention and guidance from parents and school. Managing children's character is not enough to only be taught through classroom subjects, but schools also apply it through habituation or school culture. This study aims to describe Moral Education in the Perspective of Al-Ghazali, Kohlberg and Thomas Lichona. The thoughts of these figures have different perspectives on concepts, theories, methodologies and applications that are relevant to character development and character education in accordance with the context of Indonesian education. This type of research is library research. Data collection techniques using the method of analysis along with data analysis of content. Moral Education In the Perspective of Al-Ghazali, Kohlberg and Thomas Lichona have a different approach. Moral education built by al-Ghazali is through the approach of the story method (saga), and exemplary (uswah al hasanah). Kholberg further described the moral stages of children in accordance with the level of cognitive development. Thomas Lickona analyzed three important components in building character education, namely moral knowing, moral feeling and moral action.

<p><em>The development of character in young people is an obligation that requires the efforts of parents, teachers and the community in a society with a decline moral tone. The involvement in immoral acts by some youths and elders in the contemporary Nigerian society may be traced to inordinate ambition of these youths and elders to accumulate material wealth. The young people engage in what is generally referred to as yahoo and yahoo plus, and elders engage in corrupt acts. Yahoo describes the act of defrauding people through the cyber connection, whereas yahoo plus involves the use of rituals to make financial and material gains. The paper examined how young people could be educated to cultivate the virtues of self-control, contentment, caring for others and self-discipline. It drew inspirations from virtue ethical theories to ground moral virtues in character education, and discussed some intervention programmes that could strengthen character development in young people. It examined the effectiveness of cultural dimension in character development, and argued that a healthy society might be vitiated by the absence of moral virtues, which is the core feature of character development, and concluded that young people develop positive self-efficacy when they are exposed to moral virtues such as trustworthiness, self-control, honesty, self-discipline, tolerance, and so on. </em></p>

Over the past few years, the government has given a spesific attention to the character education due to its main purpose to develop good and right behaviour for the students since their early age. To achieve this, one of them is through education. In Bali, according to the concept of its society, education is translated by local values in a simple way, such as learning while travelling, learning while singing, learning while playing a game and so on. The Balinese folklore (Satua) is an implementation of Hindu values which give an understanding on conscience and behaviour to the children since early age. This research is a qualitative research using the hermeneutics method. Bali has many literary heritages which are full of the value of character education, one of them is Satua Bali. Among the many Satua that are available, Satua that will be used is Satua I Nengah Tinggen's with titled Anak Agung di Mesir. He is one of the Balinese literary maestros. The study of this folklore refers to six pillars of character proposed by SD Westwood, covers trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, caring, citizenship, and fairness. It can be concluded that Satua is somewhat effectively used as a character education media because it contains the values ​​of character education needed for the nation's character development and can be taught early with Satua.

The article considers the idea of a new pedagogical thinking, which plays an important role in the future teacher formation. The essence of the concept of new pedagogical thinking is revealed. The problems of the process of formation of new pedagogical thinking in the scientific philosophical, psychological, pedagogical literature are analyzed. A retrospective analysis of the development of the idea of new pedagogical thinking is carried out. It is established that the formation of a new pedagogical thinking of the teacher as a factor in the humanization of the school is determined by a holistic process of the pedagogical community, aimed at understanding new, anthropo-oriented values of education, assignment of these values by teachers and their implementation in their practical pedagogical activities. The essence of the New pedagogical thinking is revealed, which we consider as a process and result of critical analysis by the teacher of the reality of the modern world, educational process and self-analysis of own professional actions in the direction of humanization and humanization of educational space. Examples of tasks for the development of new pedagogical thinking are offered.
