I. Tsapenko

The article deals with the extent to which the deep recession of the economies of the developed countries at the end of the 2000s has caused crisis processes at the labor market. The author considers the effects of the recession in the segment of migrant labor arising from the nature of its operation. Also, it is explored how the continued flow of foreign labor affects the conditions of employment of local workers. It is shown that the crisis augmented the negative impact of immigration on working conditions and employment opportunities of local workers. However, it is concluded that in case of the economic recovery the immigration may help to expedite it.

This study examines the relationship between terrorism and economic openness that takes into account both the number and intensity of terrorist incidents and the impact of government military expenditures on trade-GDP and foreign direct investment-GDP ratios for both developed and developing countries. It uses the dynamic GMM method to account for endogeneity in the variables. Deaths caused by terrorism have a significant negative impact on FDI flows, and the number of terrorist attacks is also found to be significant in hampering the countries’ ability to trade with other nations. The study also demonstrates that the developing countries exhibit almost similar results to our main analysis. The developed countries exhibit a negative impact of terrorism, but the regression results are not significant.

The current study aims to discuss and investigate one of the most prominent and important issues that has been in constant debate in all the previous researches and studies dine in the scope of criminal law ; especially those regarding the juridical construction relating to the terrorism cases. The main attempt of this research is to evaluate the criminal policy of the Libyan Legislation issuing law no.3 for the year 2014 concerning Terrorism combating. Disregarding the recent issuing of the law in subject, the above-mentioned law is of great importance due to its high concern of the juridical apparatus of combating terrorism. However, what makes a wonder herewith is the Libyan legislation has been taking a step backwards when the law (4) was issued in 2017 in regarding of the amendment of the provisions of both the Military Penal Code and the Code of Military Procedures which has already mandated the judiciary of offenders of terrorism according to the terms identified in Article 3. Herewith, the perception of the effectiveness and functionality of the above-mentioned law is not possible without paying the attention to reviewing the jurisdiction from one hand and the working conditions of the judges from the other hand. However, the good conduct of the judges’ work depends heavily on doing several improvements for these apparatus, in addition to promoting the juridical capabilities by supporting these apparatus with the modern facilities, utilizing the experience of the developed countries in this regard. Therefore, the prospects are addressed to developing the juridical construction properly according to the principles of the defense rights and the fair trial as these principles are the constitution fundamentals and the traits of the criminal-justice system.

The problems of foreign labor in Japan have become increasingly serious economically, politically, and socially in recent years. In response to increasing labor shortages and high wages in Japan, ever larger numbers of foreign workers are entering Japan and illegally engaging in unskilled work under poor working conditions. The amended law of immigration control was put into effect on 1 June 1990, strictly prohibiting the entrance of foreigners for unauthorized work while opening doors more widely for highly skilled and knowledgeable workers. This article first briefly reviews the recent penetration of the Japanese labor market by foreign workers and then discusses potential merits of international migration of workers as well as likely demerits or dangers associated with the spontaneous influx of foreign workers into Japan under the current institutional and social conditions. The article finally proposes a large-scale work and learn program jointly administered by the government and private sector as a policy remedy to maximize the merits, and to minimize the demerits, of accepting foreign workers.

The labor market is an important object of social and general economic policy of the state, it is there that the mechanism is implemented to ensure the coordination of prices and working conditions between employers and employees. Market performance affects important socio-economic problems and therefore require special attention from the state. Of particular relevance is the study of the labor market in today's transformational economy and under the influence of a pandemic, when changing the needs of employers and working conditions, the growing threat of mass unemployment. The prospects for the development of the labor market of Ukraine remain a debatable issue in the modern period, which necessitates a comprehensive study of the state of this market in the context of globalization and the general economic crisis. According to researchers, the modern period is characterized by instability, forced decline in economic activity and inconsistency with the market of educational services. The situation is considered to be a crisis and one that produces: labor poverty, expansion of forced labor without decent pay, stratification of the population into socially vulnerable groups, inconsistency with the market of educational services and reduced quality of labor potential and motivation for productive activity. The article deals with the research of the labor market by modern Ukrainian scientists. On the basis of statistical data, a study of demographic indicators and the state of the labor market in Ukraine in general and by region was carried out. The factors that have the greatest negative impact on the effective functioning of the market and meeting the needs of Ukrainian citizens for work have been identified. Disproportional shifts in the number and economic activity of the working-age population by region have been revealed. It is noted that the main negative factors of influence are the low level of wages; insufficient compliance of the training system; high unemployment (supply significantly exceeds demand); unsatisfactory working conditions; lack of opportunities for re-profiling, especially in older people.

The overview of the country’s trade with all the continents during the period of 2000-2019 is given. The description of the commodity structure of exports/imports of goods, with particular attention to the industrial products, is followed by the detailed analysis of Ukraine’s foreign trade in 2020. The decrease in Ukraine’s foreign trade in 2020 by 6.4% is fully consistent with the projected WTO reduction of world trade in 2020 by 9.2%. Although COVID-19 had negative impact on Ukraine’s trade with the EU and the EAEU, it contributed to closer trade ties with Asia, improving Ukraine’s trade balance. The government and the national business elite should aim at solving the problems of increasing the volume and improving the commodity structure of Ukraine’s foreign trade with emphasis on the development of transport system for exporting agricultural and food products to the developed countries of the West and to the prospective economies of the East and the South. It is essential, on the one hand, to focus on the inflows of FDI and their appropriate use, and, on the other hand, on Ukraine’s participation in the formation of GVCs, global production networks. In the conditions of the Fourth industrial revolution, the economy finds itself transformed due to the fundamental changes. The optimization of foreign trade relations of Ukraine will not only improve the economy, but also enable the country to become a better functioning element of the global economic system.

The purpose of the work presented in this paper is to find and suggest a suitable solution to the exhaust pollution coming from the Diesel Automobiles particularly in the metro cities. Due to incomplete combustion of fuel oil pollutants like CO, HC, NOx are released into atmosphere causing negative impact on air quality, environment and human health. Researchers all over the world concentrated on how to reduce the pollutants. Euro norms specify the allowable percentages of CO, HC and NOx in the exhaust gases. Euro norms being implemented in the developed countries have given stringent values which has led to the development of catalytic converter which is an added equipment in automobile. Hitherto in the catalytic converters supplied in modern cars, Platinum and Rhodium metals are used for coating monoliths. These metals are rare and hence expensive. In the research carried out by the authors, suitable monolith substrates are tested and used in the catalytic converters with coating materials like CeO2 , ZrO2 over clay marbles, Copper Monolith and SS Discs which help NOx¬ abatement and oxygen storage. These were designed, fabricated and tested on automobiles. The results are encouraging showing marked fall of pollutants in exhaust gases.

This article examines the state of labor immigration of the Kazakh Diaspora, as well as studying the possibilities of conditions for economic adaptation of Kazakhs in developed capitalist countries. The purpose of this study is to identify the causes of labor migration of Kazakhs to France. Based on this goal, the study solves the following tasks aimed at studying the history and current situation of Kazakhs living in France, in the focus of analyzing the policy of the French government in relation to immigration workers and employees in the 1945- 1980-ies; the reasons for labor immigration of Kazakhs to France. Western Europe has become a center of attraction for foreign workers coming here, primarily from the less developed countries of the continent, as well as from Turkey. In the last ten years, inter-state migration of workers in Western Europe has grown to unprecedented proportions. Every year, more than a million workers were sent from one European country to another in search of work. The reasons lay in the political and economic crisis, the increase in the unemployment rate, which was the result of an increase in the number of migrants among Kazakhs in France. The post-war economic situation caused the demand for workers to restore the economy destroyed by the war, and led to an increase in the level of tariffs (wages). Scientists believe that the active replenishment of the French labor market with cheap foreign labor from other countries is due to the convenient location of France.
