The article is a review of the book "Monument and Holiday: Ethnography of Victory Day", edited by M. Gabovich, which summarizes the results of a study of Victory Day celebrating practices in 23 cities of 11 countries. The book is interesting both in terms of plot and in theoretical terms, since it touches upon the problems of further development and contemporary difficulties of memory studies: to what extent this sphere of research succeeds in “keeping up with the time”. Its focus is not so much on the politicization of memory (especially after the Crimean crisis), as on the constant intertwining and interaction of commemoration practices of different levels - local and transnational, generational and family, ethical and aesthetic cultural forms that go beyond common in contemporary "memory wars" binary oppositions.

In current conditions, the priority of young people's preparation for life and work is especially important. Consequently, the requirements for the training of a future psychologist are also changing. One of the essential properties of a psychologist, necessary for the successful implementation of their activities, is empathy. The problem of empathy is one of the most difficult psychological sciences. The implacability of this phenomenon for researchers confirms the diversity in the definitions of its essence, mechanisms, functions, the role of empathy in the personality moral development, prosocial behaviour, altruism, and others like that. The presence of the appropriate level of empathic properties of students-psychologists acts as a condition for the formation of their professional compliance. Subjective factors of empathy formation: value sphere of personality, type of interpersonal relations, level of self-centeredness, type of accentuation of character, types of attitudes to different spheres of life, level of subjective control. Therefore, in the article, empathy development is studied in students who get a psychologist's degree. It is determined that in general subjects have average empathy level. By dividing students into groups, according to their level of empathy, it has been established that different value orientations characterize boys with different levels of empathy. It is determined that the overwhelming majority of respondents have a mean self-centeredness level. It was found that the obtained data provide an opportunity for further development of empathy among students. As a result of our research, we are convinced that the objective factors for the formation of empathy are: the perception of other people, the maturity of the individual. Our research is not exhaustive; our further development will concern the deepening of the ideas about the empathy component of the personality of the future psychologist and the methods of its development.

AbstractThis text is devoted to a discussion of current achievements in the psychology of creativity, as well as to the further development of the field. It is concerned with a criticism of former and current theses in the field of the psychology of creativity discussed by Glăveanu (2014). The arguments presented indicate that, despite Glăveanu’s (2014) proposition, the psychology of creativity is not in crisis. It is pointed out that the difference in views between supporters of the social psychology approach to creativity and psychology researchers oriented towards the study of creative potential on how to conduct creativity research, stems from a concentration on different levels of creativity, and not necessarily from an ineffective theory of creativity. As a consequence of these different perceptions of creativity at its particular levels, determining the prime standard of creative potential is not sufficient to understand the social conditioning of creative activity and the social assessment of creativity, and vice versa.

The issue of the interrelation of social representations of students with different levels of suggestibility about a socially profitable person is discussed. The content of the concept of a “socially profitable person” is revealed. The analysis of theoretical and methodological literature concretizes the content of the concepts of “social representations”, “suggestibility”. In the study we take into account the gender characteristics of the subjects. The obtained results have a scientific novelty, since this kind of work was carried out for the first time. It was found that the sample has mainly an average suggestibility level, is malleable and tends to allow other people’s ideas into their consciousness. Semantic units (descriptors) describing the ideas of a socially profitable person in boys and girls do not have significant differences. Factors were formed from the obtained descriptors: 12 – in boys, 13 – in girls, 11 factors coincided. The dominant factors were “Social and material well-being”, “Benevolence”, “Cultural and cognitive factor”. The practical significance of the study is in the possibility of organizing purposeful work on the formation of a positive image of a person in demand by society. Representations determine the assessment of one’s own qualities, regulate human behavior. Further development of the problem can be aimed at expanding the sample of subjects and creating a psychological and pedagogical program.

Forest sites are formed in the interaction of heterogeneous components of biogeosystem. The increase or decrease of biological component in forest biogeosystems defines the different types of strategy with opposite characteristics, representing the different lines of adaptation (to the biological medium and abiotic environment). The manifestation of adaptive strategy requires appropriate tools, which are evolving on the basis of accumulated property (information capacity) and prevailing forest sites. Forest sites can be seen as an external “order” on the evolution of adaptations. Silvicultural properties of forest biological systems work enough in the interaction of different forms of matter (biological, abiotic), mapping out a hierarchy of biogeosystems. The information potential of forest biota interconnects different levels of systemic organization of forest biogeosystems. Further development of biogeocenology and the theory and ecosystems will allow to investigate the relationship of forest biota with exogenous forest-forming factors.

With the urgent need to document the world's dying languages, it is important to explore ways to speed up language documentation efforts. One promising avenue is to use techniques from computational linguistics to automate some of the process. Here we consider unsupervised morphological segmentation and active learning for creating interlinear glossed text (IGT) for the Mayan language Uspanteko. The practical goal is to produce a totally annotated corpus that is as accurate as possible given limited time for manual annotation. We discuss results from several experiments that suggest there is indeed much promise in these methods but also show that further development is necessary to make them robustly useful for a wide range of conditions and tasks. We also provide a detailed discussion of how two documentary linguists perceived machine support in IGT production and how their annotation performance varied with different levels of machine support.

This chapter focuses on co-operatives in four representative Latin American countries—Argentina, Chile, Cuba, and Mexico—in order to highlight their historical trajectories, evolutionary trends, and potential for further development. These representative countries reflect the range of co-operative development in Latin America, both historically and contemporaneously. Each country, for instance, shows different paths of co-operative development related to, among other factors, different levels of support by their governments, community-based responses to neoliberal policies, and varying connections to broader social movements and other forms of grass-roots organizations. This chapter will also present a number of experiences that are of particular interest today in the region, such as worker-recuperated enterprises and other forms of workers’nself-management, indigenous co-operatives, community-owned agricultural co-operatives, co-operatives managing general-interest social services, and, most controversially, public-services and work-for-welfare co-operatives created by the state.

Various socio-economic systems (countries, regions, or cities) and their economies suffer different kinds of economic shocks. If the system is not resilient, its economy can incur losses. Only the systems whose economies are less vulnerable and/or are able to recover from the economic shock quite quickly are able to ensure economic sustainability, competitiveness, and welfare both now and in the future. The concepts of socio-economic systems’ resilience to economic shocks, vulnerability, and recovery, as well as the resilience assessment peculiarities, are all analyzed in this article. The methodology introduced for the assessment of a socio-economic system’s resilience to economic shocks consists of two parts: a model of a system’s resilience to the economic shock’s capacity-related factors (Resilio) and an index of a socio-economic system’s resilience to the economic shocks (Resindicis). The Resilio model could be used as a universal methodological framework for analyzing the resilience of socio-economic systems of different levels (countries, regions, or cities). The set of quantitative indicators compiling Resindicis should be adjusted to the specifics of each socio-economic system and the availability of statistical data. Empirically, the methodology was validated on the example of 10 Lithuanian regions (counties). The methodological principles for the assessment of a socio-economic system’s resilience are also provided. The main advantages and drawbacks of the methodology are discussed in order for further development and an increase in its practical application.

The modern economic theory, and also the realized state economic policy attach to small business special and multidimensional significance. Thus for fuller and fast disclosure of high potential of small business purposeful application of special measures for support of this sector of economy, which are being carried out by the state at the different levels seniority is almost justified. Such theoretical ideas and also based on them practical approach gained universal acceptance and currency. Russia didn´t become an exception, because here in the 1990th years under the conditions of economic reforms expansion and formation of sector of small business the state development of system for its support was started. The question of further development of small business exists in Russia at all levels today - federal, regional and municipal. The possibility of acceleration of economy modernization in Russia, its transfer to an innovative way of development, is looked through in its decision. The infrastructure for support of small and medium business entities includes commercial and non-profit organizations, which are created, carry out the activity or being involved as providers with the purpose of placing orders for supplies of goods, the performance of work and the rendering of services for state and municipal requirements within implementation of federal, regional or municipal programs of development of small and medium business entities, which ensure the conditions for creation of small and medium business entities.

Modeling of functioning of systems in infographics allows to consider ojects under investigation at different levels of their complexity, with an important aspect being the qualimetrical assessment of quality of functioning of various systems. Multidimensional scaling found reflection in use of single-layer and multilayered polar systems of coordinates. The composite model displays the dynamics of change of local conditions of process of convergence of norms at the end of each previous phase of process. Examples of practical application of infographic models by producers of vodka products and models for an assessment of parameters of sewage treatment in housing and communal services are reviewed. Similar models gained further development as instruments of management of competitiveness thanks to the development of special software which allows to automate the process of their construction and the analysis of dynamics of occurring changes of controlled parameters.
