This study discusses three Indragiri folklores as literary teaching materials in elementary school in the effort to build students character. The purpose of this study is to introduce culture and oral tradition through literature in order to build the character of children. The type of this research is descriptive analysis. The three folktales are described and the good characters contained in the story that can be imitated and emulated by children is analyzed. The data were analyzed by applying moral approach. The result shows that the three Indragiri folklores contain good characters that can be imitated and emulated by children. Therefore, base on this study, it can be concluded  that folklore can be used as a teaching material for literary learning at the elementary level in order to build children’s character

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmengembangkan model bahan ajar sastra berbasis cerita rakyat dengan pendekatan CTL untuk pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar Kota Bengkulu. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan Borg & Gall yang digabungkan dengan langkah-langkah pengembangan bahan ajar Jolly & Bolitho. Penelitian dilakukan di SD Kota Bengkulu.Hasil analisis kebutuhan ditemukan bahwa bahan ajar bahasa Indonesia tidak menyertakan cerita rakyat Bengkulu dalam pembelajaran dan kompetensi guru dan siswa berkenaan dengan cerita rakyat belum memadai. Hasil rancangan bahan ajar sastra berbasis cerita rakyat untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut efektif,layak digunakan, dan valid menurut validasi ahli materi, media, kurikulum, dan karakter. Bahan ajar Sastra berbasis cerita rakyat dengan pendekatan CTL di SD untuk pendidikan karakter efektif hasil pengembangan dan yang digunakan kelompok besar juga menyatakan dengan kriteria baik.Terdapat perbedaan keefektifan yang signifikan pada kemampuan hasil belajar siswa antara kelompok menggunakan bahan ajar sastra berbasis cerita rakyat dan kelompok yang tidak menggunakan bahan ajar bahasa Indonesia berbasis cerita rakyat.Hasil validasi bahan ajar kelompok pakar dengan kriteria sangat baik, dan guru dengan kriteria sangatbaik. Respon penguna bahan ajar guru dan siswa baik, maka dapat disimpulkan bahan ajar yang di rancang layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Kata Kunci: bahan ajar, cerita rakyat, CTL, dan pendidikan karakter Abstract The research aims to used is develop teaching literature material model based on folklore and CTL approach for the education of character at Elementary School in Bengkulu city. The reasearch method using Researched Developmentof Borg & Gall combined with folly and Bolitho’s material development steps. Research was done in Elementary School in Bengkulucity. The data were collected by surveys, interviews,and questionnaires. The need identification shows that teaching material of Bahasa Indonesia did not includ folklore of Bengkulu in class; and the ability of teachers and students wasnot yet adequate. Literature teaching materials using folklore was found effective and validaccording to experts of media, curriculum, and character. There were significant difference of effectiveness in which students using literature teaching materials using folklore and which were not. Materials validation by expert group and teacher judgementwas very good. Teacher and students well respond to the teaching materials, so it can be concluded that literature teaching materials was effective for teaching literature. In the elementary school curriculum know 2013 revision 2017 now the process of teaching and learning is based on themes, namely a teaching and learning process that has teaching materials related to the problem, and local needs that are used as themes or titles in the learning process in study groups. As a leading Islamic school SD Muhammadiyah 8 Tulangan Sidoarjo in every teaching and learning process teachers are required to always associate all teaching material with the Qur'an. The problem is that the support of open tools that can quickly find references to verses of the Qur'an related to a particular theme does not yet exist, so that the teaching and learning process becomes ineffective. To overcome this problem the author provides a program solution. This program will provide solutions that are expected to solve partner problems. The main method used is to use a tool in the form of a web-based thematic application, which is an application that can find references to Ayat Al-Qur'an related to a particular theme. In this application, users simply enter the theme to be discussed, the reference letters and verses and their meanings will appear. With this application, it is expected that teachers can quickly find references to each theme in each teaching material while making time efficiency.

This study aims to describe: 1) the development of reading syllabus for BIPA level A1 using deductive approach in D’Royal Moroco Integrative Islamic Elementary School, and 2) the development of reading teaching material for BIPA level A1 using deductive approach in D’Royal Moroco Integrative Islamic Elementary School. The method used in this research was research and development method. Based on the observations, documents analysis, interviews, and tests, during need analysis period, can be elaborated that the school did not have any teaching materials for BIPA. While the school had quite a lot of BIPA students mostly at A1 level. This situasions need immediate action of developing syllabus and reading teaching material for BIPA at A1 level. Due to the target of the users for this syllabus and teaching material, deductive approach can be used to developing the syllabus and the reading teaching material of BIPA A1 since the children learn more effectively by imitating the examples, and deductive approach suits that needs. By following the deductive approach, the syllabus should contains the role of teacher and students while the teaching material should have: 1) begins with the concept introduction, 2) followed by relevant examples, and 3) contains of adequate practice. It is also should containing relevant and interesting illustrations.

The 2013 curriculum requires student-centered learning. The teacher as a facilitator needs to prepare student-centered learning. The teacher prepares learning that emphasizes the thought process. Creative Problem Solving (CPS) models can develop students' thinking abilities. Teachers are expected to be able to develop teaching materials that are appropriate to the character of students. Teaching materials developed improve students' thinking skills. Teaching materials provided should also be able to increase student awareness of the nation's problems. One of Indonesia's big problems is corruption. Learning in schools is expected to instill anti-corruption character, one of which is integrating learning. This research is research and development. In this article is a part of the design of the teaching material that was developed. The data collection technique used is a prototype review of teaching materials developed. Analysis of the data used descriptive analysis. The results of this study are in the form of instructional material design based on the CPS model. The science teaching materials developed are based on the syntax of the CPS which consists of: identifying objectives, collecting data, sharpening questions, collecting data, formulating solutions, and implementing solutions. In addition to the teaching material developed it is also integrated with the anti-corruption character in each step of the problem solving that is displayed.

<p><em>This study aims to find out how to design a teaching materials based on local wisdom in jigsaw learning model for description writing skills. The research method used are“The Research and Development Method of Borg &amp; Gall”. The teaching materials develop six learning meetings based on the analysis of elementary school studentsneed in grade IV in Indramayu. The validation of teaching material product design was carried out by four expert teams as validators which produced a score of 86.45% with very good assessment criteria. The readability of the book test results by students obtained a score of 89. The results of the product trials obtained very good criteria, the practicality response of teachers 91.67% and the practicality response of students 86.57%. The conclusion is, the teaching materials based on local wisdom in jigsaw learning model for description writing skills are valid and practical to use.</em></p>

Children learn to use symbols, combining their oral language, pictures, print, and play into a coherent mixed medium and creating and communicating meanings in a variety of ways. From their initial experiences and interactions with adults, children begin to read words, processing letter-sound relations and acquiring substantial knowledge of the alphabetic system. As they continue to learn, children increasingly consolidate this information into patterns that allow for automaticity and fluency in reading and writing. Consequently, reading and writing acquisition is conceptualized better as a developmental continuum than as an all-or-nothing phenomenon. But the ability to read and write does not develop naturally, without careful planning and instruction. Children need regular and active interactions with print. Specific abilities required for reading and writing come from immediate experiences with oral and written language. Experiences in these early years begin to define the assumptions and expectations about becoming literate and give children the motivation to work toward learning to read and write. From these experiences children learn that reading and writing are valuable tools that will help them do many things in life. The aims of research consist of the following to know effect contextual in teaching materials on writing kid stories grade 4th Elementary School in Surakarta. The study employs experiment method which the data are collected by interview, observation, document analysis, and Forum Group Discussions (FGD), questionnaire, and test. Result of the research sig value. <from α or 0.03 <0.05, so Ho = rejected and H1 = accepted which means there is a difference of effectiveness between learning with conventional teaching material used by teacher with teaching material on writing kid stories based on contextual.

Contextual learning connects the content of subject matters in the classroom with the context of students’ daily lives. Elementary school learning is conducted using a thematic approach that integrates various learning contents into a theme. Thematic teaching materials in elementary schools depend on textbooks provided by the government and are limited in number. Therefore, this study aims to develop context-based thematic teaching materials to improve the learning achievements of elementary school students. In this study, the research and development method was used with the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The product of development was validated by experts. Testing of the product was conducted twice, namely a small-group test with 8 elementary school students grade IV in SD 2 Guwo and a large-group t to determine the effectiveness of the teaching material developed. The large-group test involved 32 students of grade IV in SD Negeri 2 Kadipaten as the experimental class and 30 students of grade IV in SD Negeri 2 Guwo as the control class. The results of this study indicate that there are significant differences in learning achievements between the experimental class and the control class. The experimental class using context-based thematic teaching materials has better performance than the control class using thematic textbooks. The context-based thematic teaching material that has been developed has been proven to be able to improve student achievement. The results of this study are expected to be a reference for teachers and policymakers to develop context-based thematic teaching materials.

Pentingnya membangun karakter nasionalis pada era sekaarang sangatlah penting. Upaya tersebut efektif dilaksanakan dalam pembelajaran disekolah dengan dukungan materi ajar yang menarik. Materi IPS khususnya tokoh-tokoh proklamasi merupakan contoh karakter nasionalis yang dapat di tauladani siswa. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan: proses pengembangan, kelayakan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan bahan ajar ensiklopedia berkarakter nasionalisme. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model 4D (four-D) yang dimodifikasi menggunakan tiga tahapan saja, yaitu: tahap pendefinisian, tahap perancangan, dan tahap pengembangan. Subjek uji coba adalah 19 siswa kelas V SDN Sengguruh. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar ensiklopedia layak, praktis dan efektif untuk digunakan. Penilaian oleh ahli media mendapatkan presentase 80%, ahli bahasa mendapatkan presentase 80%, penilaian ahli materi mendapatkan presentase 77,2 %, penilaian praktisi mendapatkan presentase 95,4 %, penilaian siswa mendapatkan presentase 92%, sedangkan untuk keefektifan mendapatkan 78,5%. Berdasarkan paparan hasil penilaian maka bahan ajar ensiklopedia “Layak” dan “Sangat Baik” digunakan di lapangan The importance of building nationalist character in the present era is very important. These efforts are effectively implemented in school learning with the support of interesting teaching material. IPS material, especially the figures of the proclamation, are examples of nationalist characters that can be taught by students. The implementation of this research is to describe: the process of developing, feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of encyclopedia teaching materials characterized by nationalism. This development research uses a 4D (four-D) model that is modified using only three stages, namely: the stage of defining, designing, and developing. The subjects of the trial were 19 fifth grade students at Sengguruh Elementary School. The instrument of data collection uses questionnaires and documentation. The results showed that encyclopedia teaching materials were feasible, practical and effective to use. Evaluation by media experts gets a percentage of 80%, linguists get 80% percentage, assessment of material experts get a percentage of 77.2%, practitioner assessment gets a percentage of 95.4%, assessment of students get a percentage of 92%, while for effectiveness get 78.5% . Based on the explanation of the results of the assessment, the encyclopedia teaching material "Worthy" and "Very Good" was used in the field

This study aims to develop mathematical teaching materials on the subject of multiplication and find out their feasibility and practicality. This research is based on the lack of students' understanding of multiplication material and the lack of references other than worksheets or textbooks used by teachers. The renewal of this teaching material is the presence of a QR code in each chapter that can connect students to videos created by researchers and uploaded on YouTube. This study uses the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluate). Based on the five stages, the development of You-MathBook teaching materials resulted in a percentage of eligibility from three validators of 90.9%, a practical percentage of 84.1% and effectiveness calculated with a Gain Test of 0.35 indicating an increase in student learning outcomes in the 'medium' category. Based on these results You-MathBook teaching materials are declared feasible, practical and effective to increase understanding of the concept of multiplication in fifth (V) grade students of Darul Huda Islamic Elementary School in Semarang.

This study aims to develop teaching materials based on ethno mathematics. A Research and Development (R&D) method as used in this research. Meanwhile, the research design of teaching materials developed using ADDIE included five stages, namely analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The feasibility of this ethno mathematical-based teaching material refers to the results of the assessments of three experts, namely education expert, ethno mathematics expert, and mathematicians, as well as students’ responses. The students' responses used as a trial were made by fifth-grade students of SDN Negara Bumi, Central Sungkai Subdistrict. The results of this study indicate that the teaching materials developed based on ethno mathematics have met the standards of feasibility aspects which include validity, practicality, and effectiveness of teaching materials.
