Penggunaan bahasa daerah dalam karya sastra tidak selalu mengganggu pemahaman pembaca atas suatu karya. Hal itu bergantung pada bagaimana pengarang mengeks-presikan bahasa daerah itu. Kenanga karya Oka Rusmini merupakan novel dwibahasa karena adanya penggunaan bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa daerah. Masalah dalam penelitian ini ialah bagaimana dwibahasa itu digunakan pengarang akan dikaji. Tujuannya ialah mendiskripsikan dwibahasa yang digunakan dalam novel tersebut. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif. Pendekatan yang akan dilakukan dengan cara menganalisis karya sastra dari aspek bahasa dan masyarakat. Metode penelitian ini ialah metode diskriptif, yaitu penelitian dilakukan atas dasar fakta. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan dwibahasa dalam Kenanga berkaitan dengan faktor nonkebahasaan. Faktor nonkebahsaan itu ialah kehidupan tokoh yang berkasta Brahmana dan yang berkasta Sudra, adat yang ada di Bali, dan agama Hindu yang dianut tokohnya. Faktor nonkebahasaan itu memengaruhi pengungkapan gagasan, pikiran, dan perasaan tokohnya. Untuk memudahkan pemaham atas penggunanan bahasa Bali, pengarang memberikan kata bahasa Indonesianya, baik di dekatnya maupun di catatan kaki. Dengan demikian, pembaca tidak mengalami banyak kesulitan untuk memahami novel Kenanga.The use of local language in literary is not an obstacle for readers to understand a piece of literary works. It depends on how the author expresses the local language into his work. Kenanga novel by Oka Rusmini is a bilingual novel because it uses Indonesian and local language. The research problem is how bilingualism is used by the author. The research aims to describe the bilingualism used in the novel. This research is a qualitative research. The approach used in the research is by analyzing language and society aspect of the novel. This research uses descriptive method, i.e. a research is carried out on the basis of facts. The results of this study indicate that bilingualism in Kenanga relating to non-linguistic factors. Non-linguistic factors are life of Brahmin and Sudra caste, custom of Bali, Hinduism adhered by the characters. Non-linguistics factors influence characters expression of ideas, thoughts, and feelings. To ease understanding of Balinese language, the author gives the Indonesian language word, either nearby the Balinese word or in footnotes. Therefore, readers do not find much difficulty in understanding Kenanga novel.

The problem of deixis is an obstacle in understanding reading texts, especially literary works. This study aims to identify and describe deixis in short story literary works. In addition, the findings of this study aim to be a medium in Indonesian language learning activities, especially in text description material. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive method. The data collection method is observational note-taking. The technique of analyzing the data used in this study is to use the data analysis technique of the Miles and Huberman model. Based on the research findings, there are five types of deixis in the Senyum Karyamin short story, namely person, place, time, discourse, and social. Through the identification of this deixis, learning to understand descriptive text will be easier to implement.

Sosiolinguistik memberikan pengetahuan tentang code switching (campur kode). Analisis teks novel untuk memahami penggunaan campur kode penutur dapat dilaksanakan untuk pengembangan ilmu sosiologi bahasa. Metode deskriptif kualitatif dalam menganalisis temuan dan mengklasifikasikan pencampuran kode dari Novel Andre Herata Sang Pemimpi. Analisis data berfokus pada kalimat dan paragraf yang menunjukkan penggunaan pencampuran kode di dalamnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada satu jenis pencampuran kode yang ditemukan dalam novel Sang Pemimpi yaitu pencampuran kode luar (bahasa Indonesia dan Inggris) yang kemunculannya ada dalam bentuk kata, frasa, dan penyisipan klausa. Penggunaan dan jenis-jenis pencampuran kode yang ada dalam novel Sang Pemimpi karya Andrea Hirata meyangkut pencampuran kode; pada pencampuran berbagai unit linguistik, seperti morfem, kata-kata, pengubah, frasa, klausa dan kalimat, terutama yang berasal dari dua sistem tata bahasa yang berpartisipasi dalam sebuah kalimat. Dapat disimpulkan narator menggunakan pencampuran kode dari Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu, dan pencampuran kode luar dari Bahasa Inggris; punchbag, sprinter, fan, session, speaker, shock, slide dan Bahasa Arab. Abstract. Sociolinguistics gave knowledge of the switching codes. Text analysis of novels for understanding the interdiction of interpreting codes can be performed for the development of language sociology. The qualitative descriptive method of analyzing the find and classifying the code mixing of the novel Andre herata Sang pemimpi. Data analysis focuses on sentences and paragraphs that indicate the use of a code mixing in them. Studies have shown that one type of mixing code found in the Sang pemimpi novel is that it includes a mixture of outside codes (Indonesian and English) that appears in the form of words, phrases, and insertion of klausa. The use and kinds of coded blending in the book of Sang pemimpi Andrea hirata passes the mixing of codes; In the mixing of various linguistic units, such as morpheme, words, modifiers, phrases, clauses and sentences, especially those that come from the two grammatical systems that participate in a sentence. It could be inferred that the narrator used a code mixing from Indonesian, Malay, and a proprietary blend of English; punchbag, sprinter, fan, session, speaker, shock, slide dan Arabic.

Abstrak:             Penulisan ini untuk mengetahui tokoh Aku yang mengalami luka karena dikhianati dan ditinggalkan oleh kekasihnya sehingga ia mengalami konflik batin.  Pembaca diberi gambaran untuk terus berjalan meskipun deretan ironi telah banyak melukai. Novel ini memiliki aspek-aspek yang sangat menarik untuk dikaji.  Masalah yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana aspek-aspek prikoanalisi (yang nyata, yang imajiner,  dan yang simbolik)dAalam Novel Cinta Tak Pernah Tepat Waktu karya Puthut EA . Berdasarkan rumusan masalah tersebut,  penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan aspek-aspek psikoanilisis yang terdapat dalam Novel Cinta Tak Pernah Tepat Waktu karya EA.  Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif untuk menghasilkan data berupa berupa deskriptif.  Metode yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data antara lain: metode dokumentasi,  metode telaah,  dan metode studi perpustakaan.  Sesuai terkumpul akan dianalisis dengan tekhnik deskriptif.  Hasil penelitian ini adalah novel Cinta Tak Pernah Tepat Waktu karya Puthut EA mengandung aspek-aspek psikoanalisi.  Aspek-aspek psikoanalisis yang terdapat dalam novel ini dibagi menjadi tiga, yaitu: yang nyata(rasa kenyamanan pada tokoh Aku) yang imajiner (rasa kehilangan pada tokoh Aku),  yang simbolik (rasa keinginan pada tokoh Aku)Setiap karya sastra pada dasarnya mengandung aspek-aspek yang dapat memberikan manfaat sebagai pedoman bagi pembacanya sehingga hendaknya karya-karya sastra dapat diapresiasikan secara maksimal. Novel ini berisi pengalaman tokoh Aku beserta hikmah yang dapat dipetik dalam kehidupan. Abstrak:             The writing was to know the figure of I who was injured by being betrayed and abandoned by his lover so that he suffered an inner conflict.  Readers are given an overview to keep going though a row of irony has hurt a lot. The Novel has very interesting aspects to be studied.  The problem discussed in this study is how the Prikoanalyisi aspects (the real, the imaginary, and the symbolic) dAalam Novel Love never punctual the work of Puthut EA. Based on the problem, this research aims to describe the aspects of psychoanilisis in the Novel Love never-timely work of EA.  This type of research is qualitative research to produce a descriptive form of data.  Methods used in data collection include: Documentation methods, study methods, and library studies methods.  The appropriate collected will be analyzed with descriptive technology.  The results of this research are novel love never timely work by Puthut EA contains psychoanalyisi aspects.  The psychoanalytical aspects contained in the novel are divided into three, namely: the real (sense of comfort on the figure of me) the imaginary (the loss of my character), the symbolic (sense of desire on the figure of me) every literary work essentially Contains aspects that can provide benefits as a guideline for its readers so that the literary works can be maximally appreciated. This Novel contains the experience of the character I and the wisdom that can be learned in life.

Traditional music in baliatn ritual has a composition or structure of special music presentation which can influence pamaliatn or tukang liatn (the ritual leader) to experience the transcendental period. Besides, the music played can incur the magical power, it indicates how strong the effect of the sound or voice of gongs, dau, and gadobokng that were played during baliatn ritual. The research problem was how does the structure of music presentation in baliatn ritual of Dayak Kanayatn? Thus, the purpose of this research was to describe and analyze the problem in the structure of music presentation of baliatn ritual. The research used descriptive method in qualitative research design. The study has found that the structure of music presentation in baliatn ritual held in three steps; the beginning part is guntur mandayu beating motif, the main part is ka ‘bawakng beating motif, and the final part is ne’ unte beating motif. In this research, the researcher also made the notation of Dayak Kanayatn music in special and simple way.

The purpose of this study commonly   described about the background of the  Pertemuan Dua Hati novel and specifically interpreted its  physical background and social setting . The research used descriptive method with qualitative research model. The research approach was using structural approach. The source of the data was taken  from a novel entitled Pertemuan Dua Hati by Nh. Dini which had been published by PT Gramedia Pustaka Utama, Jakarta, in 1992, the sixth printing, and consists of 85 pages. Based on the analysis, it concluded that the physical setting that  presented by the author was quite well. This can be seen from the description of the house and the area. Furthermore, the social background that presented by the author  was good enough. It has been explanated from the conditional   economy, the views of life and the attitude of the character.Tujuan penelitian ini secara umum adalah untuk mendeskripsikan latar dalam novel Pertemuan Dua Hati, sedangkan secara khusus untuk menginterpretasikan latar fisik dan latar sosial novel tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan model penelitian kualitatif. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan struktural. Sumber datanya berasal dari novel yang berjudul Pertemuan Dua Hati karya Nh. Dini yang diterbitkan oleh PT Gramedia Pustaka Utama, Jakarta, tahun 1992, cetakan keenam, dan terdiri dari 85 halaman. Berdasarkan hasil analisis terhadap novel tersebut, latar fisik yang disajikan pengarang cukup baik. Hal ini terlihat dari keterangan mengenai rumah dan daerah. Selanjutnya, latar sosial yang disajikan pengarang cukup baik. Hal ini terlihat dari pemaparan tentang keadaan ekonomi, pandangan hidup, dan sikap hidup tokoh.

Literary works in Indonesia, including novels, both in terms of ideas and content, are heavily influenced by works from abroad. This influence is caused by many things, for example Indonesian writers who idolize foreign writers, similarities in social situations and conditions, or even unplanned similarities because Indonesian writers unconsciously intensively read one of the works of foreign writers. This research attempts to compare the novel Ipung by Prie GS with the novel the Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. Comparisons are only limited to pouring out the ideas, genres, and motives contained in the two novels. This research is a descriptive qualitative research that describes a number of ideas, genres, and motives concerning the basic issues of creation, and the message can be expressed accuratel. Based on the research results, it was stated that the novel Sang Alkemis by Paulo Coelho influenced Prie GS novel Ipung, both in terms of ideas, genres, and motives.

This study focuses on internal conflicts in the novel Air Mata Tuhan works Aguk Irawan M.N. The method in this article uses descriptive method and form of qualitative research. Psychology humanities is used as an approach in this article. Data collection technique used is the technique of documentary studies to reviewing  creation humanities. Data collection tool used is the Human Instrument with the help of card data recorder. The purpose of this study is to describe the shape, process of composition, and use of the prokem in the novel Aku, Benci & Cinta by Wulanfadi. This kind of research is qualitative research using a descriptive method. The source of data in this research is sentence or speech of the prokem in the novel. The findings of this study are as follows: (1) the prokem shape in the novel is composed of single words, frolic, reduplication, abreviation, and composition; (2) the prokem formation process in the novel is composed of nasalizing active verb+-in to form an active transitive verb, passive form di+root word+-in, debunking the word, use of other terms, english foreign language speakers, full use of english, and letter changes; and (3) the use of prokem in a novel is composed of bonding function, expressing feelings, invite, mocking, satirize, reassuring conversation, creating a humorous atmosphere, ask, and passing information.Keywords: indonesian slang, Wulanfadi, Aku Benci & Cinta

Journal of learning reflection using cohesion and coherence. This study aims, describe the realization and the forefront of the principles of cohesion and coherence in the journals reflection of learning Indonesian junior high school teachers in Maros District.                    The type of qualitative research with descriptive method, data collection techniques refer and note. The study population is a whole lingual unit containing cohesion and coherence.              The results of the study show that the cohesion embodiment used is lexical cohesion (repetition and equivalence), grammatical cohesion (references and conjunctions), and coherence (causation, consequence, condition, argumentative and means-result) the cohesion used is repetition, equivalence, reference, and conjunction. This study was aimed to analyze the aspects of Romanticism manifested in the novel “The Revolt in Paradise” and behavior of character reflects Romanticism in “The Revolt in Paradise”. This study was based on the descriptive-qualitative research since the findings were going to be presented in a descriptive form. The data to be analyzed are gathered from two sources. The primary source is the novel itself; The Revolt in Paradise and the secondary sources includes many appropriate documents in the form of literary works, previous thesis, biography, theories and literary criticism, dictionaries and etc. Related to the instrument, the researcher employed herself as the human instrument. The data were analyzed through underlying and labeling. The result of the study found that there four aspects of Romanticism manifested in the novel; The Revolt in Paradise, they were: the love of nature, the memories of the past, the horror /gothic setting and the emotion; included; love, anger and hatred. This study also found that The Revolt in Paradise gave the vivid depiction of the Nationalism as the major behavior reflects Romanticism.
