Background: The teacher holds an important role in developing and strengthening the education of students' character in a Biology learning process. The character of the teacher is one of the factors that must be developed in the curriculum. Critical thinking includes character and skills which are two things that can not be separated in a person. Method: This research was conducted in July-August 2018, using a questionnaire distribution method of 60 students and interviews with the head of MAN, deputy head of curriculum, Biology teacher, religion teacher, BK teacher and Committee teacher. Results: This study shows the character of Biology teachers towards class XI students including the Good category, strengthening the character education of students in the bad category, and critical thinking of Biology teachers in the good category, and the relationship of the character of the Biology teacher. Conclusion: Strengthening the value of student character education has a strong relationship that is with a value of 0.867.

Critical thinking is one aspect of thinking skills that have to be developed in the 4.0 century. Critical thinking has an important role in the learning process. Students with high critical thinking skills will make a high contribution in increasing mastery of concepts. Therefore, an initial investigation was carried out by interviewing biology teachers and giving questions to students of class XI science at SMA 12 Negeri Padang. It is known that critical thinking in students is still low. One of the causes is an inadequate module. Therefore, students need appropriate modules to improve critical thinking. This type of research is development research using the Ploompdevelopment model. The model stage consists of the initial investigation, prototyping, and assessment. The research data were obtained from validity, practicality, and effectiveness tests. The results showed that the biology module that was developed according to the expert review obtained a value of 87.70% very valid category. The results of the practicality test by the teacher obtained a value of 93.97% in the very practical category and the results of the practicality test by the students obtained a score of 86.67% in the very practical category. The results of the effectiveness test of the critical thinking aspect in six categories showed a significant increase in students' critical thinking based on the N-Gain test carried out on the respiratory system. While the excretory system results in the N-Gain value of the experimental class 0.36 medium category and controls 0.30 medium categories

The production and sale within the informal footwear market is one of the main economic and labor activities carried out in the city of Ambato, where it constitutes an economic refuge for those who are unemployed. The main objective of this research was to analyze the current situation in which the informal footwear market is based on the dimensions of quality in the service and the degree of satisfaction of the needs of consumers through a field study, applying a survey based on the dimensions of SERVQUAL model. thee methodology used was a qualitative-quantitative analysis of the five dimensions of the SERVQUAL: reliability, sensitivity, security, empathy and tangible elements; the research instrument was a survey applied to 103 clients. the analysis of reliability and internal consistency of the instrument by means of Cronbach’s Alpha present a value of 0.801; also, by the Spearman’s correlation analysis, the strong relationship of the variables was evidenced: sensitivity and reliability (0.815); sensitivity and security (0.815) and security with empathy (0.768); which show what is being done correctly in relation to customer service. e other dimensions, that did not show a significant correlation, should improve customer service in order to create competitive advantages.

Leadership has an influence on the work motivation of health workers in carrying out health services for the community. Based on an initial survey conducted at Kebun Lada Binjai Puskesmas there are still health workers who are lazy at work, often arrive late and go home early, often get together even though working hours are still inadequate, facilities and infrastructure are inadequate such as lack of seats so many patients who stand while waiting for health services, there are still health workers prioritize personal interests rather than the interests of the office in carrying out their duties. Based on the researcher's observations, it was found that the low work motivation of health workers in carrying out their duties and responsibilities. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of leadership functions (planning, supervision, and decision making) with the work motivation of health workers. This type of research is an analytic survey research, with cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all health workers as many as 47 people. The method of data analysis uses Chi-square test. The results showed that there was a very significant (strong) relationship between the relationship between planning and workforce motivation of health workers with a value of p = 0,000 or (p <0.05), the relationship of supervision with workforce motivation of workers with a value of p = 0,000 or (p < 0.05), and the relationship between decision making and workforce motivation by health workers with a value of p = 0,000 or (p <0.05). Based on the results of the study it is expected that the Head of the Puskesmas must have the ability to lead subordinates well and be structured in order to carry out health programs well so as to provide work motivation with encouragement and the desire of health workers to carry out an activity or work well.

Universitas Negeri Semarang sebagai lembaga pendidikan tinggi memiliki tanggung jawab menciptakan lulusan yang berkarakter. Inovasi yang dilakukan oleh Universitas Negeri Semarang adalah menciptakan Padepokan Karakter yang merupakan inovasi di bidang pendidikan karakter. Salah satu focus Padepokan Karakter adalah mengembangkan model pembelajaran berbasis nilai untuk menguatkan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi secara kualitatif strategi Padepokan Karakter Universitas Negeri Semarang dengan model pembelajaran berbasis bursa nilai sebagai upaya menguatkan karakter berpikir kritis mahasiswa di abad 21. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Padepokan Karakter Universitas Negeri Semarang. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi, observasi, dan wawancara. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif dari Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Padepokan Karakter yang dibentuk oleh Universitas Negeri Semarang telah mampu memperkuat karakter mahasiswa, terutama dalam kakakter berpikir kritis. Metode yang dikembangkan dalam Padepokan Karakter tersebut yaitu model pembelajaran berbasis bursa nilai. Hasil penelitian ini mendukung teori tentang berpikir kritis yang mencakup kemampuan menganalisis, mengevaluasi, menilai, dan memecahkan suatu masalah. Kata kunci: strategi Padepokan Karakter, berpikir kritis, warga negara muda. THE STRATEGY OF PADEPOKAN KARAKTER IN STRENGTEN CRITICAL THINKING CHARACTER ON YOUNG CITIZENS IN THE 21ST CENTURY Abstract: Universitas Negeri Semarang as an institution of higher education has the responsibility of creating graduates with noble character. The innovation undertaken by Universitas Negeri Semarang is creating Padepokan Karakter which is an innovation in the field of character education. One focus of Padepokan Karakter is developing value-based learning models to strengthen students’ critical thinking. This study aims to qualitatively identify the strategy of Padepokan Karakter in Universitas Negeri Semarang with a value exchange-based learning model as an effort to strengthen the character of students’ critical thinking in the 21st century. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method. This research was conducted at Padepokan Karakter in Universitas Negeri Semarang. Data collection uses documentation, observation, and interview techniques. Data analysis uses interactive models of Miles and Huberman. The results showed that the Padepokan Karakter formed by Universitas Negeri Semarang has been able to strengthen the character of students, especially in critical thinking. The method developed in the Padepokan Karakter is a value-based learning model. The results of this study support the theory of critical thinking that includes the ability to analyze, evaluate, assess, and solve a problem. Keywords: strategy of Padepokan Karakter, critical thinking, young citizens

Based on the assessment of the ability of teachers in strengthening the character education of students concerned about the environment in pre-cycle it can be seen that the ability of teachers in strengthening the character education of students caring about the environment in the low category because it only gets an average score of 1.06. Furthermore, based on the assessment of the ability of teachers in strengthening the character education of students concerned about the environment in the first cycle it can be seen that the ability of teachers in strengthening the character education of students caring about the environment in the category of teacher ability in strengthening the character education of students caring about the environment is due to getting an average score of 3, 12 Evidently there is an increase in the ability of teachers in strengthening the character education of environmental aspects of students seen from the average assessment of the ability of teachers in strengthening the character education of environmental aspects of students initially in the pre-cycle conditions showed a low average rating of 1.06 increased to the ability category the teacher in strengthening the character education of students concerned about the environment because of getting an average score of 3.12. Even so the improvement of the ability of teachers in strengthening the character education of students concerned about the environment after the implementation of UKS in the first cycle has not been able to reach the target set, namely 100% of teachers have an assessment of the ability of teachers in strengthening character education of students who care about the environment. For this reason, the implementation of the first cycle needs to be evaluated and reflected. Based on the assessment of the ability of teachers in strengthening the character education of students concerned about the environment in the second cycle can be seen that the average score indicates a value of 4.5 or included in the high category. It can be seen that the ability of teachers in strengthening the character education of environmental aspects of students in SKH Negeri 01 Tangerang Regency is already high.

Every company is required to be ready to face increasingly fierce business competition with other companies from around the world to face globalization which is often said to be an era of world without limits. Increasing customer satisfaction for companies in the service sector is very important, because it involves service quality and price which is one step in increasing customer satisfaction. The purpose of this study is how much influence the price of customer satisfaction on tenants at PT. Bhumyamca Sekawan. How big is the influence of service quality on building customer satisfaction at PT. Bhumyamca Sekawan. How big is the influence of price and quality of service together (simultaneous) on customer satisfaction of building tenants at PT. Bhumyamca Sekawan. Evident Judging from the results of the study that the relationship between price and customer satisfaction shows the relationship value 0.654 and the relationship of service quality with customer satisfaction shows the relationship value 0.720 both have a strong relationship between price and customer satisfaction and service quality with customer satisfaction has a strong relationship when viewed from the correlation coefficient. And Based on the results of other studies with R2 value of 0.587, the price and service quality have a large simultaneous effect on customer satisfaction at PT. Bhumyamca Sekawan, which is 58.7%. Judging from the t test the price is concluded to provide a significant positive effect on customer satisfaction because it has a value of t count (3.076) t table (2.002). As well as service quality, it is concluded that it has a significant positive effect on customer satisfaction because it has a value of tcount (4.694) t table (2.002). And Judging from the F test produced a significance value of 0.000 0.05 means that the variables are jointly / simultaneously there is an influence on the dependent variable. While F count is 40,498 3.16 means that the independent variables are simultaneously / simultaneously there is an influence on the dependent variable.

The question of compensation in addition to sensitive to be driving someone to worl due to an effect on morale and discipline employees. Therefore , any  agency or any organization should be able to provide compensation equal to the workload  to create a workforce that efficient and effective manner can be realized. Amaore than that, the company’s goal to improve performance. Performance assessment is a subjective process that involves human judgments. Thus, performance assessment is very likely wrong and very easily influonced by sources that are not actual, so it must be taken into account and considered reasinable. Frformance appraisals are considered  to meet the target if it has a good impact on new employees who rated their performance. Simple linear regression analysis using SPSS version 12:00 data processing obtained tegression equation Y = 0,487 X 74 + with an explanation of X = award, 74 = constant, 0.487 = coefficient awards, and Y = performance based on simple linear regression equation in case of increase of one unit of the  performance award will be increased 0.487 units. If company policy negates the performance award will remain at a constant rate (74) units . (A) Test results obtained thitung significant constants of (12.574) > t table for (1.960 then reject Ho constanta significant meaning. (B) significant Test award coefficient t count the results obtained by (2.164)> t table foe (1.96) then reject Ho the mean coeffent of appreciation affect the performance . (C) correlation coefficient analysis is done by calculating the product moment corration (pearson)  to test  whether or not a strong  relationship between the variables X  dan Y , based on the results of cakculations with SPSS  table valuse obtained by calculating the  correlation coefficient r (0.3100> r on the table for a = 0,05 (0.291) then reject Ho, which means there is a relationship of respect for performance. When we enter these valuse in the table shows the interpretation of the correlation coefficient between the interval from 0.20 to 0.399 which has a low relationship

Critical thinking skills is a very important aspect that students must have in learning chemistry, especially in solving problems that require deeper alternative solutions. This research aims to analyze the relationship of critical thinking on student learning outcomes on salt hydrolysis material. In this research, there were 48 students sampled, the technique used for sampling was purposive sampling. For data analysis in this research using correlation and regression tests with a probability value of 0.05. From the results of the linearity and correlation tests found that students 'critical thinking skills have a relationship with student learning outcomes on salt hydrolysis material by 0.599 and the regression results also show the same thing that there is a significant relationship between students' critical thinking skills with learning outcomes on salt hydrolysis material that is seen from the comparison of the significance value (0,000) with a probability value (0.05), (0,000 <0.05) means that there is a positive relationship between critical thinking skills with student learning outcomes on salt hydrolysis material in SMAN 1 Kampar. The contribution or contribution of students' critical thinking skills to learning outcomes in the hydrolysis material is 35.9% while the remaining 64.1% is influenced by other factors. The higher the level of critical thinking skills of students, the greater the significant functional relationship to learning outcomes, and also the greater contribution / contribution of critical thinking skills to student learning outcomes.Keywords : Critical thinking skills, learning outcomes, correlation and regression analysis, salt hydrolysis

This study aims to determine the relations between metacognitive to science process skills on grade VIII students MTs Negeri 3 Parigi. This research is descriptive, the approach used is a quantitative approach, manifested in the form of numbers analyzed by statistics and the results are described. The population is students of MTs Negeri 3 Parigi Academic Year 2017-2018 with a population of three classes, with a sample of 30 students. The instrument used is a metacognitive questionnaire consisting of 50 questions and an essay about science process skills 6 questions test. The result of the prerequisite test of the research result is all metacognitive indicators of normal and linear distributed and based on the regression feasibility test show that all data is feasible for regression test. The result of the regression test and test of determination to obtain a value which is not significant. Based on the results of the research analysis it can be concluded that the relationship of each metacognitive indicator to science process skills was not significant even there were metacognitive indicators that reverse direction significantly. The magnitude of the relationship of each metacognitive indicator with science process skills maximum 15.3%.
