Tourists travel because they are pushed by their internal motivations and attracted orpulled by certain elements and features of destinations. However, a growing number ofdestinations have similar tourist attractions and need to differentiate themselves. Theaim of this study is to unveil the power of high-level culinary tourism, focusing onMichelin-starred restaurants, as a pull factor and generator of tourism flows, as well as to create a model to quantify the level of importance of these high-quality restaurants asnuclei of a destination. The gastronomic and culinary industry is one of the mosttraditional sectors in most economies and is now becoming a fundamental element inattracting tourism and promotion. In this study, we argue that certain types of business, such as high-quality restaurants, can generate tourism flows in their own right within acontext where the role of tourists and enterprises has shifted from a passive to an activeone, in which companies actively seek to become destination pull factors. A quantitativesurvey questionnaire with structured questions was applied to customers of high-qualitySpanish restaurants, specifically Michelin-starred, with 432 valid responses. The resultsshow distinctive motivations of customers who travel mainly for the restaurant andthose who do so for the destination. They also show the importance of the nucleus(restaurant) as a factor of attraction to the destination, but also the importance of thedestination/surroundings to the nucleus. These findings provide valuable informationand insights for culinary tourism in the future, both for culinary companies and fordestination managers, who can then adjust their marketing and management strategies, emphasizing the need for mutual collaboration. The findings may also be helpful toinstitutions and to communication managers of the destinations to improve theirpromotion and communication strategies, to diversify supply in mature destinations, andto deseasonalized demand.

This study focuses on emphasizing the instrumental role of stakeholder analysis and the concept of business ecosystem. Specifically, a stakeholder relationship might provide the channel for the particular instrumental targets of a business subset. This kind of stakeholder management is based on a principal-agent relationship between industry actors. However, this example, which focuses on horse entrepreneurs and the infectious diseases of this subset of the equine industry, shows that instead of a simple principal-agent relationship, stakeholder management might yield a chain of principal-agent relationships in the form of a principal-agent/principal-agent relationship (for example, one or more of the stakeholders simultaneously takes on the role of both agent and principal). According to the analysis, horse entrepreneurs have this kind of double role in stakeholder management for the prevention of infectious diseases.

The city of Jambi Seberang has returned to the government's attention in urban development. Religious issues become an interesting theme when there is an external culture that begins to influence local culture in Jambi Seberang. The strong traditional culture that develops in an area, of course, there are influences from very diverse external cultures. This field research is about the religious awareness of the community in Kelurahan Olak Kemang and Kelurahan Ulu Gedong. With the analytical descriptive method, this research attempts to describe the data as it is obtained from the field. From the data analysis, it is known that the level of religious awareness in the community in Olak Kemang and Ulu Gedong villages is quite high. This can be seen in the pattern of their lives that highly uphold Islamic religious values as has been done by previous scholars. The high level of religious awareness in the community of Olak Kemang and Ulu Gedong villages is inseparable from the role of ulama, and two social institutions in the form of madrasah and places of worship. Even though the level of religious awareness in the community is quite high, one must be aware of the idea of reform in religion in Jambi Seberang, which has suffered damage due to errors regarding different interpretations.

Food security is a critically important issue in China and can be enhanced by implementing subsidy policies. This paper employs a partial equilibrium model which takes into account the impact mechanism of subsidy policies to simulate the impact of current subsidy policies on grain supply and demand and on enhancing grain self-sufficiency in China. The simulation results suggest that subsidies can generally promote grain production, reduce consumption, increase imports, reduce exports and increase ending stocks. Subsidies may also result in increases in grain self-sufficiency rate and stock-to-use ratio, but the increases are relatively small, indicating that the subsidies lack efficiency. Given that subsidies constitutes only a very small share of farmers’ total income, and that significant scope remains for increasing subsidy levels in China, employing subsidy policies can help to enhance or at least maintain China’s grain self-sufficiency at a high level. Various measures should be implemented to improve the inefficiency of the current subsidy system, such as (1) combining different types of subsidies; (2) providing discriminatory subsidies to poor/rich farmers or developing/developed areas; and (3) increasing subsidy rates for wheat and corn.

With an overall objective for broad and confident integrity management of the PetroChina Pipeline Company’s pipeline network, we illustrate the impact of a collaborative effort between PetroChina and GE Oil & Gas for the inspection and mitigation of spiral weld anomalies, particularly for new advanced assessments of features oriented along and within the spiral weld. Tool configuration, sensor types and the role of novel data analysis techniques including magnetic vector component measurements, is presented as a set to address a broader variety of spiral weld threats, while ensuring a high level of operational robustness and reliability. This paper describes some of the science behind the art, and describes the fundamentals of MFL magnetics and it’s evolution as an ILI technology into the 21st century for spiral weld anomaly inspection.

This study aims to formulate a stakeholder management strategy that has a major influence in decision making on the determination of exclusion policies for industrial companies located within industrial estates. The stakeholder analysis method used is MACTOR (Matrix of Alliances and Conflicts: Tactics, Objectives and Recommendations). The results of the analysis show that coordination and synergy between stakeholders have not been effectively implemented due to the pattern of convergence and divergence among stakeholders which tends to be divided into 2 (two) groups. To reduce divergence between stakeholders, the role of key legislators needs to be improved so that the regulation can be issued soon. Metode analisis stakeholder yang digunakan adalah MACTOR (Matrix of Alliances and Conflicts: Tactics, Objectives and Recommendations).

The chapter reports on the case study project of the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) of a wind park farm in Brazil from the supplier perspective of Siemens Ltd.
