Poultry vitamins are one of the nutrients needed by breeders. This poultry vitamin serves to accelerate the growth of poultry, maintain the quality of poultry meat, improve the quality of poultry eggs, prolong poultry egg production and accelerate poultry egg production. One of the partners who was worked together with the ITN Malang team is engaged in the field of poultry vitamins production and wants to increase the turnover of poultry vitamin production. All the time, the price of poultry vitamins from factories is considered high enough so that farmers have objections to buying poultry vitamins from the factory. The community service team observed at the quality of poultry vitamins which are produced in the Purwosari area and will transfer technology to apply a disk mill in the production process which will be able to increase the production of poultry vitamins in good prices but with high quality also. In addition, the community service team will improve the packaging by used aluminum foil to avoid moisture and later will be given a logo to facilitate the sales process to breeders. After improved the packaging, it has expected can be freely marketing with the general standardization of poultry vitamins. So that farmers can get cheap and good quality poultry vitamins. From the results of the activities carried out, it was found that a disk mill machine with a capacity of 150 kg / hour. It if the production of 500 kg takes 3 hours with one workers person. So that the partners can save time and production costs. So that the profits obtained now increase 25% from previous profits. Meanwhile the packaging used by the team partners now used aluminum foil so that the product looks more attractive and is able to hold the product dry.

Over the last decade in Latvia, the production levels of beef, pork and poultry meat have been dramatically reduced. The yearly meat consumption per capita in Latvia is about 60 kg. Traditionally, pig meat consumption is higher than consumption of bovine meat, which has higher production costs. Lower priced meat from European countries is imported and placed on the market in Latvia. The Research Institute of Biotechnology and Veterinary Medicine “Sigra”, Latvia, LUA, performs important research on meat quality and acquisition of safe and healthy food of animal origin. Cattle herds of meat breed are highly varied both from the aspect of animals and the quality of the sold meat produce. In meat of bovine animals, the settling of cholesterol on the blood vessel walls is precluded by 5.4-8.13% ω-3 and 12.97-16.27% ω-6 on average. The meat of the beef breed cattle contains wholesome proportions of proteins, fatty acids in quantities sufficient for humans, a relatively low cholesterol level (about 77 mg%) and good qualities of the culinary flavours and aromas. There are on-going research studies on the quality of meat of different pig breeds and their influencing factors, as well as on acquisition of meet in accordance with the consumer requirements. Extensive research is carried out also on the quality of broiler meat, with the target of acquisition of new quality meat. Assessment of the role of game meat in human consumption and the hygiene aspects of its acquisition are also included. Due to the development of heliculture in Latvia, the assessment of snail meat and its role in human consumption has also been launched.

Poultry farming is one of the major branches of animal husbandry, which develops through concentration, specialization and intensification on the basis of poultry plants and poultry farms. The increase in production of eggs and poultry meat is based on a significant increase in the productivity of poultry with a simultaneous increase in its population with a high payment of feed by production and the increase in labour productivity. The purpose of the work was to study the influence of enzyme feed additives in the diets of laying hens on the quality of eggs. The researches have been carried out in PJSC “Poultry plant Chelyabinskaya”, which produces high-quality chicken eggs obtained from the poultry cross “Loman LSL-classic”. The object of study was enzyme drugs produced by Sunzyme – a multi-enzyme drug that includes xylanase, cellulase and mannase activities. The dosage of enzyme drugs in the feed mixture of laying hens was: Sunfyze 5000 – 80 g/t, Sunzyme – 100 g/t. The results of researches show that in the groups that received enzyme drugs in their diet, egg production was higher than in the control group. So, for the entire period of researches the hens of the experimental groups were significantly superior to the control group in terms of egg production per average laying hen. The largest difference was in hens of the 1st experimental group (enzyme drug Sunfyze) – 10,8 eggs; the smallest in hens of the 3rd group (enzyme drugs Sunfyze and Sunzyme) – 5,7 eggs. In hens of the 2nd experimental group compared with hens of the control group egg production was higher by 7,9 eggs. The best indicators of production efficiency have been obtained in the 1st experimental group of laying hens, which were fed with the enzyme feed additive Sunfyze to reduce the nutritional value of the diet according to the matrix.

AbstrakKecenderungan masyarakat memilih bahan pangan yang sehat  semakin meningkat seiring dengan peningkatan kesadaran konsumen terhadap pentingnya  kesehatan.  Bahan pangan berupa daging dan telur merupakan sumber protein hewani asal unggas. Telur dan daging  unggas merupakan  bahan pangan utama yang dipilih masyarakat  karena bergizi tinggi dengan harga terjangkau.  Untuk mempertahankan kepercayaan konsumen terhadap  kualitas daging dan telur maka, perlu dijaga nilai  keamanan bahan pangan asal unggas ini dari cemaran residu, dan infeksi kuman.Abstract The tendency of people to choose healthy food ingredients is increasing along with increasing consumer awareness of the benefits of maintaining health. Food ingredients such as meat and eggs are a source of animal protein from poultry. Eggs and poultry meat are the main foodstuffs that are chosen by the community because of their high nutritional value at affordable prices. To maintain consumer confidence in the quality of meat and eggs, it is necessary to maintain the value of the safety of food from poultry origin from contamination of residues, and bacterial infections.

Abstract: Material selection and innovative and creative designs are needed as a medium for reducing production costs by changing the design of a product but still paying attention to the safety of its users. The problem that occurs in the surrounding community is the lack of public knowledge about the selection of materials that can risk accidents that will be experienced by users which can be caused by the material not being strong enough to support the load it gets. Innovative and creative design aims to reduce the mass of the material but still refers to user safety. Inappropriate design can increase the risk of accidents and wasted costs in the production process. The method used in this community service is a material selection workshop and an introduction to machine design using solidworks software. Therefore, this community service will greatly help the community in the Karang-tempel Village, East Semarang District, increase their insight into the selection of materials and innovative designs as an increase in the quality of production and ensure the safety of users.          Keywords: creative; desain; inovative; material selection; workshop Abstrak: Pemilihan material dan desain yang inovatif dan kreatif sangat diperlukan sebagai media pengurangan biaya produksi dengan merubah rancangan suatu produk akan tetapi tetap memperhatikan keselamatan dari penggunanya. Permasalahan yang terjadi di masyarakat sekitar akan kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang pemilihan material yang dapat berisiko akan terjadinya kecelakaan yang akan dialami pengguna yang dapat disebabkan oleh material tidak cukup kuat untuk menopang beban yang didapatkannya. Desain yang inovatif dan kreatif bertujuan sebagai pengurangan massa dari material akan tetapi tetap merujuk kepada keselamatan pengguna. Desain yang tidak sesuai dapat meningkatkan risiko kecelakaan dan pemborosan biaya pada proses produksi. Metode yang digunakan pada pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah workshop pemilihan material dan pengenalan rancang bangun mesin menggunakan software solidworks. Oleh karena itu pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini akan sangat membantu mas-yarakat di lingkungan kelurahan Karang-tempel, kecamatan Semarang Timur untuk menambah     wawasannya terhadap pemilihan material dan desain yang inovatif sebagai peningkatan kualitas hasil produksi dan menjamin keselamatan dari pengguna.Kata kunci: desain; inovatif; kreatif; pemilihan material; workshop

Malang Regency is one of the districts in East Java which is famous for its food business. One of them is the salted egg business run by Mr. Musta'in which is located in Tamanharjo village, Singosari District, Malang Regency. Even though it has only been pioneered for ± 5 years, the business has survived despite being limited to a family business with its own family members. The problem of the home business lies in how efforts must be made to improve the quality of production and nutritional value of salted eggs. The method used in this service is a survey and discussion of planned activities, improving the quality of salted egg production by procuring tools and conducting training and mentoring in the process of making salted eggs MANISE (Masir, Delicious, Healthy) the taste of onions to the packaging stage, increasing the nutritional value of salted eggs with testing cholesterol levels and calcium levels in salted egg products before and after treatment by adding garlic to the dough, and monitoring and evaluating activities. This service activity starts from February to September 2018. The results achieved through this community service program are the completion of several partner problems starting with taste, attractive packaging, and increasing the nutritional value of cracker products that have low levels of cholecolols and are rich in calcium. There are several activities that support the success of service programs such as training and mentoring in making onion flavored salted eggs, steaming, tapping and packaging processes, and can increase sales turnover in new products.

Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memenuhi kewajiban dosen untuk melakukan tridharma perguruan tinggi. Banyuwangi Regency is one of the agricultural centers in East Java province and Indonesia. Mostly,Banyuwangi people work as farmers due to the fertil soil and wide amount of agricultural land in Banyuwangi . Thelarge number of people who work as farmers initiating the formation of farmer groups. One of the farmer groups in theSrono sub-district of Banyuwangi is the "Tan Selo 1" farmers group located in the village of Sukomaju and the "TanSelo 2" farmers group in Sukonatar village. The normal average price of one banana bunch in Banyuwangi is between50-60 thousand depending on the type and quality of bananas. Problems arise when the quantity of bananas in the marketarose, the price of 1 bunch of bananas decreases dramatically. The price of 1 bunch which is usually set at 50-60thousand drops drastically to only 20-30 thousand. This is certainly a problem for farmers in the Tan Selo group. The lackof knowledge of Tan Selo farmers about alternative variants of processed banana based products and the lack ofknowledge of the marketing strategies make it hard for the Tan Selo farmers to increase the economic value of bananaswhich have been used as an alternative income for farmers. Therefore, the solutions offered to overcome the problems offarmers include: equipping and improving farmers' knowledge about the variety of processed banana-based foods andtheir marketing strategies, conducting training to make variations on banana-based foods, conducting training oneffective marketing strategies. Overall, a series of community service programs were carried out perfectly as it expected.The percentage of participants' understanding in choosing high quality bananas is 85%, the percentage of participants’ability in processing banana-based foods is 86%, and percentage of participants who successfully sell processed foodproducts by utilizing online shopping sites is 70%


This article presents the results of studying the impact of housing and feeding conditions on broiler chickens of Hubbard RedBro cross, as well as the quality of products obtained when using floor and cage content, in a farm. It established that when receiving a mixed feed of own production using feed raw materials grown on a farm without the use of pesticides, a statistically significant decrease in potentially dangerous substances for animal health is recorded. Compared with factory feed, it has reduced the content of pesticides by 14 times, and mercury and arsenic by 24 times, cadmium by five times, and lead by ten times. The results of the study of economic indicators of growing Hubbard RedBro cross broiler chickens, as well as the chemical composition and quality of carcasses, indicated that there was no significant difference between the floor and cell conditions of keeping. Still, the use of a diet based on eco-feeds contributed to a statistically significant decrease in the concentration of toxic metals in the muscles of the poultry of the experimental groups. As a result, it found that the use of the studied compound feed in the diets of broiler chickens increased the indicators of Biosafety and ensured the production of environmentally safe ("organic") poultry meat products.
