The article presents the specifics of listening of French speech as a type of speech activity. The authors point out that in order to overcome the difficulties of listening to authentic foreign language speech, it is necessary to find out how these difficulties can be caused and identify methodological ways to overcome these difficulties. Based on the analysis of the scientific literature, a register of difficulties and problems of listening to French has been highlighted, associated with: 1) the language form of the message (phonetic, lexical, and grammatical) with the semantic content of the message; 2) the specificity of the French-speaking picture of the world and the methods of verbalization of French cultural concepts; 3) conditions of presentation of the message; 4) the sources of information and the conditions for the presentation of the message; 5) the individual characteristics of the source of speech; 6) the amount of information; 7) the individual characteristics of the recipient. The article concludes that the student’s auditing ability requires not only overcoming difficulties arising from objective features of listening as a type of speech activity and the specificity of perception and understanding of foreign language speech, but also overcoming every student’s psychological barriers that are based on their individual personality characteristics.

The article is devoted to the implementation of the methodical approach as teaching reading in foreign language to students of non-philological specialties on the basis of specific language material. It is based on the essential characteristics of reading as a type of speech activity based on the analysis of grammatical features contained in the text. The approach of teaching reading covered in the article involves managing the process of development an indicative basis for educational activities. This method has great advantages, because it helps to develop skills of creative analysis of the semantic content. Also, this method provides linking the language form and content, as well as eliminates the interference of native and foreign languages by differentiating language representations in different languages. In order to understand a grammatical phenomenon when reading a text, we must be able to know this phenomenon by its form and to connect the form with the corresponding meaning. Recognition of grammatical phenomena is based on the characteristic features of these phenomena, which symbolize their presence. Reading as a communicative process creates the following tasks before the reader: to recognize the graphic form of morphemes, words, sentences and to perceive the content. Skilled reading is characterized by the automatism of perceptual processing of the presented printed material and the adequacy of solving semantic problems that arise during the implementation of speech activity. Therefore, the way of learning passive grammar should repeat this communicative process, so the description of the phenomenon of passive grammar should be provided from the form (its features) to the disclosure of its content, so exercises should be aimed to developing automatic recognition of these features.

The article provides a theoretical analysis of a situation as the basis for the emergence of semantic relationships of statements in a dialogue. Consideration of the situation and the specifics of its reflection in the semantic content of statements will allow establishing how a dialogue is governed by the situation. The relevance of the study is related to the need for scientific development and practical implementation of the system of teaching dialogic speech, which will effectively develop students’ quality skills to use living spoken language in practice. Speech activity is marked by important linguistic parameters. A person’s ability to perform speech activity is seen primarily as an opportunity to form statements that correspond to certain situations. The situation affects the structure of certain forms of oral speech, in particular its dialogic variety. Linguists consider the situation to be an extralinguistic factor of speech activity and an important element that significantly affects the speech structure. Psychologists treat the situation as one of the important criteria for studying the regularities of the forming and functioning of mental processes. The situation is traditionally considered at the level of functioning as well as a methodological category. There prevails an opinion that it is necessary to make a detailed analysis of the features of the speech situation components on the basis of which scholars-practitioners single out the most typical and controlled ones in order to successfully apply them in foreign language teaching. The important methodological parameters obtained as a result will be the situational basis for building an effective model of foreign language teaching / learning.

One of the principal skills for military pilots during their professional activity is profession-oriented interaction. That is because they need to be able to interact in a foreign language during radio exchange, as well as to interact with foreign representatives within the professional field. Along with the concept of interaction, the paper considers similar concepts of conversation, cooperation, and communication; however, interaction reveals military pilots’ communicative activity in the most accurate way. The author determines the idea of profession-oriented interaction through the prism of approaches and gives its characteristics. General scientific approaches are used while training military aviation students for profession-oriented interaction: competency-based, systemic, person-centered, as well as the culture-based approach used for teaching a foreign language. The paper shows the significance of each approach for training future military pilots. The competency-based approach makes it possible to determine competencies necessary for future military pilots and contributing to the implementation of profession-oriented interaction in a foreign language. The person-centered approach indicates the importance of taking into account the individual characteristics of future military pilots while forming the style of their professional activity. The systemic approach covers all training components which are necessary for profession-oriented interaction of military pilots. The culture-based approach actualizes the formation of intercultural communication skills between future military specialists.

ABSTRACTEducating in diversity is an important requirement of our educational system, as all students 'own characteristics must be taken into account in order to fulfill the education with greater efficiency and quality. The premises that support the educational attention to giftedness descend from the recognition and acceptance of individual differences. The gifted one is different as regards the cognitive potential, learning more, faster, in more depth and width. In this article, we aim to focus on the importance of the assessment as the proper procedure of identification of the individual characteristics of people who show high abilities. We also want to point out the importance of the instruments of measure and the most relevant sources of information related to the diagnostic evaluation. We will finish with some methodological considerations about the usefulness of the survey in different cases as strategy of investigation in order to gather the information, reach the search of meaning and make decisions.

In the Russian system of foreign language education, learner-centred approach is seen as a leading strategic direction designed to ensure self-realization of the learner as a linguistic personality able to interact effectively in the intercultural context. The problem of differentiation is one of the central issues in learner-centred education. In authors’ opinion, the differentiated approach is the most optimal in the conditions of the heterogeneity of the study groups. The article reveals the main characteristics of a differentiated approach as a general methodological principle of teaching, allowing to take into account the individual, intellectual and psychophysiological characteristics of students. The problems, advantages and disadvantages of differentiated education in non-linguistic higher schools are analyzed. The authors of the article examine the essence of multilevel training, define its principles, describe both the external differentiation of students depending on the difference in linguistic competence and the internal differentiation as the organization of the learning process, in which the individual characteristics of students are contemplated in the conditions of a homogeneous group. Generalization of the experience on the afore-mentioned differentiation forms in the system of language training is given as well as some techniques and methods of teaching in multilevel groups are offered.

The relevance of the research is due to the fact that the digitalization of the world educational system as a modern trend in the development of education requires serious reflection and solutions to a number of problems. The use of digital educational content, in addition to its obvious advantages, also contains a number of very likely risks. Including risks related to the spiritual and moral sphere of the individual. The purpose of our research is to study the attitude of teachers to the opportunities and risks of spiritual and moral education in the context of digitalization, as well as to find ways to minimize possible risks. The study involved teachers of the Chelyabinsk region who had advanced training in teaching the discipline "Fundamentals of religious cultures and secular ethics" (on the basis of the Institute of continuing and additional education of the South Ural state humanitarian and pedagogical University). The survey method was used in the study. As a result of the survey, it was revealed that the main effect of using digital technologies, according to teachers, is better memorization of visually perceived information (72% of students), a third of respondents note the possibility of taking into account the individual characteristics of students, and a quarter of respondents – an increase in creative potential. Achievement of subject-based learning outcomes is, in the opinion of teachers, the main effect of using digital content, the educational effect of digitalization is not noted by respondents. More than 80% of teachers see the risk of using digital technologies in reducing the time for live communication, more than 60% – in reducing the communicative activity of children, in reducing interest in printed sources of information. The conclusions are related to the need for further research of this problem in the following areas: analysis of educational opportunities of existing digital educational content of spiritual and moral orientation and determination of criteria for evaluating such content; selection and creation of effective methods of using digital technologies that ensure the formation of students ' experience of emotional and value attitude to spiritual, historical and cultural heritage, as well as the ability to apply the knowledge gained in various life situations; training of teachers who are competent in the field of spiritual and moral education.
