Kata-Kata Kunci: produk wisata, wisata minat khusus, situs bawah air, ANALYSIS OF TOURISM PRODUCTS OF UNDERWATER SITES AS ONE OF SPECIAL INTEREST TOURISM IN KARIMUNJAWA NATIONAL PARKKarimunjawa Islands are one of the National Tourism Strategic Areas in Indonesia and development of these areas are already underway. Sinking ships and underwater heritage in Karimunjawa make the sites in these areas a potential alternative to underwater tourist destinations, especially for special interest tourism. The purpose of this research is to explain the profile of tourism products underwater sites in Karimunjawa. The research focus was divided based on the geographical boundaries of the underwater sites in the waters of Karimunjawa Island (Genteng and Indonoor Shipwreck Sites) and the waters of Genting Island (Seruni and Genting Sites). This research used a qualitative descriptive method grounded in relevant theories. The physical observation was made on tourism products (attractions, accessibility, accommodation, facilities, and service) and the environment around the sites of underwater relics. Findings of the research suggest that underwater sites which are potential for development as special interest tourism objects are Genteng and Indonoor Shipwreck Sites. As for Seruni and Genting Sites, further research needs to be undertaken because considering the current condition of the tourism products; it does not seem feasible to make both of these sites special interest tourism objectsKeywords: tourism products, special interest tourism, underwater sites, Karimunjawa REFERENCESAdhityatama, S. Purpose – This paper aims to develop a methodological approach to place product analysis that aims to identify the distinctive ideas of places. Design/methodology/approach – The methodology included two stages: first, classifiers of place product uses and technologies were constructed on the basis of the product concept abstraction (Study 1) and then they were used as tools to systematize data about the attributes of city districts and the everyday activities of their residents to further identify product concepts (Study 2). Findings – Product concepts of five Moscow districts were formulated as sets of benefits or district uses (needs satisfied and activities encouraged) offered to residents. The concepts are expressed in terms of typical constructions but reflect the distinctive features and specificities of the districts. Research limitations/implications – Defining places as product concepts pushes the place product analysis, benefit and lifestyle segmentation forward. Additional place product dimensions and investigated places are advised to improve the reliability of the used classifiers as a tool for documentary research. Practical implications – The developed analytical procedure is a much-needed supplement to existing techniques used to shape the product strategies of places. Identifying contradictory uses helps make product decisions that are appropriate in concurrently supporting all these uses, including providing spatial differentiation of the place product. The study results are thus useful for the development of city master plans characterized by long planning horizons and a high degree of conceptualization. Originality/value – The paper proposes a new method for place product analysis that combines the advantages of both standardized and narrative approaches, introducing a convenient way to address the issue of clarity when transforming a variety of place attributes into core place values and eventual place brands.

This study aims to examine the relationship between representament and object iconicity in Wardah's cosmetic commercial television commercials, which include shampoo, BB cream, mascara, lipstick, and social activities. Wardah cosmetic commercial television commercials attempt to construct consumers using the concept of “Beauty from the heart”. Meanwhile, the beauty of cosmetic users is always visible physically. Thus, it cannot be proven to be real beauty from the heart when someone uses cosmetics. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to analyze data in the form of verbal and nonverbal text. The researcher uses Charles Sander Peirce's semiotic theory which divides the signs according to the relationship between the representament (sign) and its object (marker) into icons, indexes, and symbols. The results of this study indicate that beauty can be classified into two categories, namely physical beauty and psychological beauty. Physical beauty relates to the body and the head. There are four parts of the head which are icons of beauty for a young woman: 1) the hair, 2) the facial skin, 3) the eyes, and 4) the lips. Meanwhile, psychological beauty is a beauty from the heart that is manifested in the form of attitudes during social activities. In addition, young women as users of Wardah cosmetics are represented by the use of youthful vocabulary and language typical of the millennial generation.
