Wayang Golek is one of the nation's cultural heritage that grows and develops in West Java, and its existence still exists today but is starting to decline. Photography is one part of the technology that can bridge the Punakawan  Sundanese Wayang Golek  Culture in maintaining its existence. The purpose of the research is to maintain the existence of the Punakawan  Sundanese Wayang Golek  Culture through the media of Photography. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach obtained through interviews, observations and is equipped with photographic works. The results of this study indicate that Photography can be one of the media in maintaining the existence of Wayang Golek, especially the Sundanese Punakawan  group, through social media such as Instagram. Photography by researchers and other artists' works shared via Instagram can be spread worldwide and stored forever, with periodic and continuous stages, the existence of Wayang Golek, especially Punakawan  Sundanese, will be maintained.Keywords: Art Fotografi; Punakawan;Culture Wayang Golek.

<p>Ustaz Abdul Somad kembali menjadi sorotan khalayak karena dakwahnya yang kontroversial. Pada akhir Agustus 2019, video ceramah Ustaz Abdul Somad yang diunggah pada tahun 2016 yang berjudul “Hukum Melihat Salib” sempat viral di media sosial karena dianggap mengandung unsur Suku, Agama, Ras, dan Antargolongan (SARA). Video pendek yang berisi jawaban Ustaz Abdul Somad atas pertanyaan jamaah, mengandung konten yang menyinggung tentang salib sehingga menimbulkan respon negatif dari umat nonmuslim. Selain itu, ada video ceramah lain yang berjudul “Hukum Menonton Film Korea” yang juga menimbulkan respon negative bagi para penggemar KPop atau KPopers. Tulisan ini fokus pada bagaimana etika komunikasi dakwah Ustaz Abdul Somad yang dibangun berdasarkan perspektif Al Quran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif. Subjek penelitiannya adalah dua video ceramah Ustaz Abdul Somad yang berjudul “Hukum menonton Film Korea” dan “Hukum Melihat Salib”. Sementara objek penelitian ini ialah retorika Ustaz Abdul Somad dalam video-video tersebut. Hasilnya, ceramah dalam kedua video tersebut mengandung prinsip etika komunikasi dalam Al Quran, dengan catatan ceramah tersebut dilakukan pada kelompok terbatas. Etika Al Quran yang dimaksud adalah prinsip bicara tegas dan jujur. Namun, jika dalam konteks media sosial yang bersifat general atau umum, maka pesan dakwahnya tidak sesuai dengan salah satu kode etik dakwah serta dinilai tidak efektif.</p><p> </p><p><em>Ustaz Abdul Somad returned to the media spotlight because of his preaching that triggered a negative response by other groups. At the end of August 2019, Ustaz Abdul Somad's video lecture uploaded in 2016 entitled "Hukum Melihat Salib" was viral on social media because it was considered to contain SARA elements. In the video footage, there is content that is offensive about the cross, giving rise to negative responses from non-Muslim communities. In addition, the lecture video entitled "Hukum Menonton Film Korea" also caused a negative response for KPopers. Therefore, this paper focuses on how the ethics of Ustaz Abdul Somad's missionary communication are built on the perspective of the Qur'an. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. His research subjects used Ustaz Abdul Somad's video lecture entitled "Hukum Menonton Film Korea" and "Hukum Melihat Salib". While the object of this research is the rhetoric of Ustad Abdul Somad in the videos. As a result, both videos contain ethical principles of communication in the Koran, if the lecture is aimed at a particular group. Unlike the case in social media that is universal (anyone, anytime and anywhere can be accessed), then the message of preaching is not </em><em>following</em><em> </em><em>one of the preaching code of ethics and has not been effective. </em></p>

Instagram social media is a unique medium because through this media not only communicating by sharing photos, but also penetrating into videos that everyone can get various videos that inform various kinds of actifities or routines that are carried out. The use of instagram also occurs among the community in the city of Bengkulu, precisely Sanggar Arastra community, thus encouraging members to play Instagram. The purpose of this study is to find out the motives of social media users to upload instagram story. This study uses a qualitative research method with a qualitative descriptive approach and this study uses the motive theory by Papacharissi and Rubin (2017), which consist of several motives, utility motives and motives seeking information. This research was conducted with data collection techniques through interview, observation and documentation study. The subjects in this study were five members of Sanggar Arastra owning an Android or iOS cellphone with an application and an Instagram account, they actively play Instagram and like ti upload photos, videoa and texts on the Instagram Story. The results of thie study indicate that the motives of members of Sanggar Arastra in uploading photos, videos nd texts in Instagram story are convenience motives, entertainment motives, passing time motives to follow current trends. Of all the motives, there is the most dominant motive, namely Convenience Motives because what they upload on Instagram stories is a form of expressing themselves, a place to express feelings in the form of photos, videoa and texts. Their uploads form a good image in order to get the desired recognition.

Abstrak– Penyampaian informasi oleh media memiliki suatu karakteristik tertentu yang menjadikan suatu media memiliki daya tarik tertentu. Ciri khas yang menjadikan suatu media tetap bertahan dalam kerasnya gempuran persaingan dengan berbagai media terbaru. Tak terkecuali media cetak koran dan juga radio yang memiliki karakteristik tertentu sehingga tetap memiliki daya tarik bagi khalayak. Penelitian ini membahas tentang bagaimana pemilihan masyarakat antara penggunaan media koran dan radio dalam penyampaian berita politik. Semakin maju teknologi baik radio maupun koran kurang diminati oleh masyarakat. Apakah penurunan dalam  penggemar dari media radio dan koran memberikan dampak tersendiri. Klasifikasi pengelompokan usia penggemar radio dan koran dalam menentukan minat mereka dalam memperoleh informasi.   Serta efek dari pemberitaan politik berdasarkan usia yang sangat berpengaruh dalam kehidupannya. Metode yang digunakan dalam artikel ini dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan sesuatu tata cara riset sesuai fakta – fakta yang terdapat terbaru yang menggabarkan bagaimana daya tarik antara media koran dan radio dalam penyampaian berita politik. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh banyakya penurunan penggemar dari media koran dan surat kabar disetiap tahunnya khususnya untuk pulau jawa. Characteristics that make a media survive the intense competition with the latest media. Not to mention the print media, newspapers and radio, which have certain characteristics so that they still have an appeal to the public. This article discusses how public elections in the use of newspapers and radio media in delivering political news. Where because the more advanced technology, both radio and newspapers are less attractive to the public. Has the decline in radio and newspaper fans had its own impact. Radio and newspaper fans' age classification determines their interest in obtaining information. As well as the effects of political coverage based on age which is very influential in his life. The method used in this article uses a qualitative descriptive approach by using a research method according to the latest available facts that describe the attractiveness between newspapers and radio in delivering political news. Based on the data obtained, the number of fans decreased from newspapers and newspapers every year, especially for the island of Java. The problems analyzed in the thesis of the phenomenon of slang as linguistic creativity in Instagram social media in this millennial era are numerous. To obtain more linear and specific analysis results, the problems studied in this scientific paper study must be limited to the characteristics of the slang on Instagram social media, the equivalent vocabulary of slang with Indonesian on Instagram social media and the process of forming the lingual unit of slang in the media social Instagram and the positive and negative impacts of using slang in the millennial era. The research method used in this thesis research is a qualitative descriptive research method with phenomenological qualitative techniques. In this study, the collection of data and information was obtained through informants, namely by means of observation or observation. The results of the data obtained through data collection techniques are then compiled to form a systematic report, namely Instagram account owners in the millennial era.

At present, social media is more widely used by migrant workers and TKI children just for the daily communication. The function of the social media is done in trivialities because both parties operationally can maximazie the media more specifically especially to improve the process of education and learning between parents to their children. This study draws problem of how social media can be used by TKI in educating children, through the LDR (Long Distance Relationship) method. This study used qualitative descriptive approach to analyze the data. The research subjects who acted as respondents were migrant workers and former migrant workers from Lampung Province. The results show that learning models using the LDR Method could be applied by Indonesian migrant workers to children who live in their hometowns.  Themes of communication using LDR should be focused on education aspects emphasizing on motivation, achievement, frame of future life, and daily activities for schools.

ABSTRACT This paper tries to explain and describe the position of UMKM in the Kepuh, Boyolangu Village, Banyuwangi, as an effort to reduce the unemployment rate, especially in the lower middle class and to see how the strategy of the UMKM founders in maintaining their position in all conditions. So it is hoped that readers can find out and analyze UMKM within the scope of the region as an effort to minimize unemployment and increase living standards. This paper use qualitative research method with a qualitative descriptive approach. Establishing UMKM is certainly not an easy thing, because the large number of workers does not guarantee UMKM, who is determined by the appropriate expertise and strategy. In addition, the Government has not been maximally perfect in overcoming problems and financial assistance for community UMKM which in reality is able to absorb many new workers, and has an impact on reducing the unemployment rate.

Pesan dakwah dapat disampaikan melalui media termasuk instagram. Trend  tersebut memiliki dua sisi seperti pisau bermata ganda (tantangan). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penyajian pesan dakwah dalam media sosial instagram. Tujuan penelitian ini mengetahui bentuk penyajian pesan dakwah dalam instagram dan mencari tahu kelebihan dan kekurangan penyajian pesan dakwah dalam media sosial. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan teknik pengumpulan datanya, melalui observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dari dua puluh unggahan yang diteliti, terdapat tiga unggahan yang termasuk bentuk penyajian pesan dakwah informatif, empatbelas unggahan yang termasuk persuasif, dan tiga unggahan yang termasuk koersif. Kelebihan penyajian pesan dakwah pada akun instagram ini ialah menyampaikan pesan dalam bahasa singkat dan mudah dipahami pembaca. Dan kekurangannya, yaitu penjelasan yang kurang lengkap dan singkat. Kelebihan dan kekurangannya ini juga memberikan dampak pada pemahaman  pembacanya. Da'wah messages can be conveyed through the media including Instagram. The trend has two sides like a double-edged knife (a challenge). This study aims to determine the presentation of preaching messages on social media Instagram. The purpose of this study is to find out the form of preaching messages on Instagram and find out the advantages and disadvantages of preaching messages in social media. The research method used is descriptive qualitative approach and data collection techniques, through observation and documentation. The results showed that of the twenty uploads examined, there were three uploads that included informative preaching messages, fourteen uploads that were persuasive, and three uploads which were coercive. The advantage of presenting da'wah messages on this Instagram account is that it conveys messages in short and easily understood language. And the shortcomings, namely an incomplete and concise explanation. These strengths and weaknesses also have an impact on the reader's understanding.

Saung Angklung Udjo (SAU) is a performance venue that was founded in 1966 by UdjoNgalagena and hasstood until now for one of them aimed at communicating bamboo music, in this case focusing a lot onangklung, as Indonesia’s cultural wealth, especially West Java. To further develop themselves, SAU alsobegan to move in the online field, which in this case was specifically done through social media, especiallyYoutube and Instagram. To find out more about SAU’s social media strategy in communicating SAU’s aesthetics,observations, interviews and literature studies were conducted. After taking the data which is then processedby qualitative methods, the following results and discussion are obtained: SAU conducts all publicationsand documentation related to on-site performances to be uploaded via Instagram and Youtube, SAUcollaborates to increase the popularity of bamboo music, with one of them picking up composer Eka Gustiwanais able to produce fresh works that are accessible to the public, SAU re-arranged to make bamboo musicfamiliar, especially among Western music listeners, and this strategy is also generally a form of angklungpreservation in its position as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO version which was passedin 2010.

This research is a qualitative study aimed to describe the teacher's perception of pop-up book media when applied to the material building space in the V grade elementary school. The research method of using qualitative descriptive with the research data source is the teacher of grade V in elementary school Tanjungsari, namely VA and VB. The data collection techniques used are online interviews through the WhatsApp app. Data analysis techniques using the technical of Miles and Huberman are data reduction, data presentation, and withdrawal of conclusions. The result of this study raises positive perceptions of class V teachers. The Media pop-up book is interesting to apply to material solid figure in class V, seeing students who are always interested in new things, because this media has not been used, so that the media pop-up book is very good to be applied in class V, in order to support the creativity of students, so that students will be happy and think critically in the process of learning math material solid figure.

The purpose of this study is to obtain a critical description of the learning strategy for science practicum during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research method was a qualitative descriptive study. The respondents of this study were lecturers and students of the Natural Sciences within the Indonesia Natural Sciences Tadris Association. The research instruments were in the form of questionnaires and a list of questions related to the learning of science practicum during the COVID-19 pandemic. The results showed the highest percentage of each learning strategy indicator for science practicum used by lecturers as follows: (1) 68.75% for the student center approach, (2) 50% for problem-based learning strategy, (3) 31.25% for self-practicum technique, (4) 31.25% for WhatsApp media, (5) 31.25% for self-assignment evaluation, (6) 93.75% for the indicator of the success of self-practicum, (7) 68.75% social media and signal supporting factors, (8) 31.25% for internet network obstacle, (9) 68.75% for the method to discover the practicum skills by playing the video of student’s results of practicum at home. The recommendation of this study should be carried out independently in each student's home by utilizing tools and materials around their environment and evaluation of learning is done through self-assignments or practicum videos sent to lecturers.
