The primary goal of this study is to evaluate the hardiness profile of students in Islamic boarding schools and determine whether or not hardiness has a practical impact on students through Islamic boarding schools, with the top indicators being challenge, control, and commitment. Every shift brings with it a new set of challenges, which can be challenging to adjust to. This research employs quantitative methods to demonstrate this. For the 2020/2021 academic year, student boarding school students in Jakarta served as the study's subject population. As a result, 76 participants were chosen at random using a purposive selection method. It is possible to get data using the santri hardiness instrument as the method of gathering information. The hypothetical mean approach is utilized in this study to determine the optimal score, the minimal score, the standard deviation, and the theoretical mean. The score range is obtained in order to determine the category, which will be as follows: X 129.3 indicates a high category, 103.7 129.3 indicates a medium category, and X 103.7 indicates a low category. It is possible to conclude from these estimates that the hardiness profile of boarding school kids falls into the middle category. The result is that most students have attitudes and skills that are not yet optimal for coping with life difficulties in Islamic boarding schools.

Many recent policy documents have outlined the challenges of delivering high-quality education in remote First Nations communities and proposed that boarding schools are one important solution. These documents have influenced the increasing uptake of boarding options and there has been considerable public investment in scholarships, residential facilities and transition support. Yet the outcomes of this investment and policy effort are not well understood. The authors of this article came together as a collaboration of researchers who have published about boarding school education for First Nations students to examine the evidence and develop a theory-driven understanding of how policies drive systems to produce both desirable and undesirable outcomes for First Nations boarding school students. We applied complexity theory and post-structural policy analysis techniques and produced a useful tool for the evaluation of boarding policy and its implementation.

Regarding Islamic Boarding School that applies language development for reading and active communication, sociologically, students use foreign languages only in a small number of linguistic situations and in specific domains, namely education. Culturally, foreign language behavior breeds symptoms of multilingualism, bilingualism, code-switching and code-mixing, monolingualism, and interference in all linguistic situations. It is due to the responsibility, loyalty, and motivation of foreign affairs that are still lacking and the insufficient quality of teachers, environmental conditions, and curriculum content.</span></p></div></div></div>

The aim of the article is to analytically present empirical data on the readiness of Ukrainian boarding school graduates for social self-realization in the current socio-economic context. The topicality of this research is determined by the need for scientific and sociological support of further transformations of the boarding school network which is one of the main reforms for the national system of general secondary education. This scientific and sociological support should be based on the study of the educational and social potential of boarding schools, aimed at a thorough analysis of the main indicators of readiness of boarding school graduates for social self-realization in present-day conditions. The results of an empirical study conducted on the basis of 14 boarding schools in Ukraine show that a higher level of readiness for social self-realization is demonstrated by senior students whose basic value system corresponds to the type of postmodern personality, i.e. a person whose life activity is structured according to spiritual, post-material values (development of one's talents, self-realization; interesting and creative work; obtaining higher education; helping other people; living according to religious precepts). The study reveals that these senior students ("postmoderners") go far beyond other boarding school students in their aspiration to accumulate future social capital (gaining respect among people, showing gratitude to others for their help, developing relationships with trusted friends), achieve a higher level of education in their lives, demonstrate a much higher readiness for independent life after leaving their boarding school, have higher trust in their own family, teachers, classmates of their own and the opposite sexes, and have a much higher academic performance at the final stage of gaining general education in a boarding school. Senior students of the postmodern type are less prone to problematic, risky behavioral scenarios in boarding schools (early onset of sexual activity and bullying behavior). The conclusions of the study relate to the possibilities of optimizing the implementation of boarding schools' educational and socialization mission in terms of preparing students, most of whom experience unfavorable social circumstances, for social self-realization in the present-day society. The work provides some conceptual guidelines and practical recommendations for education managers and teachers in terms of aiming educational process in boarding schools at promoting the development of postmodern personality type among their students.

Boarding schools, by definition, house students in residence either on campus or close by in residential facilities - where the sleep environment is likely to differ from their home environment. For boarders, being in the boarding environment occurs alongside a convergence of psychosocial and physiological factors likely to impact adolescent sleep. This paper comprises a review of the literature on sleep and boarding students in the Australian context. We also propose recommendations aligned with the scientific evidence base that can be used to promote healthy sleep in Australian boarding school students, focusing on staff training and sleep knowledge, daily routines, sleeping arrangements, and student mental health and wellbeing. It must be noted that these recommendations should be considered interim recommendations until further research is performed in the area. Further, we suggest the development of standardised practice guidelines, to ensure that student sleep is supported appropriately within the Australian boarding context.
