This research was conducted against the background of underdeveloped children's ability to count numbers 1-20. The purpose of this study is to get a picture of the use of snakes and ladders media in developing the ability to count numbers and understand the function of playing instruments used as media in learning with play activities. Play is the most influential factor in children's self development, one of which is cognitive development. In this activity the method used is giving tasks and direct practice with observation as an assessment tool. The subjects of the study were all students of group A Tunas Mekar Kindergarten in Surabaya in the academic year 2019-2020 with a total of 20 participants. The results of the descriptive analysis revealed: The ability to count numbers before using the media was not optimal, in the assessment scores achieved from each indicator of completeness learning below the average, while using the media snakes and ladders experienced a very optimal development in the assessment scores achieved from each indicator of mastery learning very well.

Block play is the ability in constructive activities by building complex buildings using unit blocks that can improve the ability of eye and hand coordination, train fine motor skills, train children in problem solving, games that give children freedom of imagination, so that new things can created as a child's creativity a creative idea. The rationale for this improvement in learning is the lack of creativity in children. The purpose of this study are: 1) to know that through the direct practice method can increase creativity in forming building blocks in children, 2) to find out the magnitude of the increase in creativity in forming building blocks through direct practice methods in children Group A Kindergarten State Temanggung Regency Semester I 2016/2017 Academic Year. OBJECTIVE To compare the effectiveness of mobilization and self-exercises in the management of adhesive capsulitis of shoulder STUDY DESIGN Randomized Control Trial SAMPLE SELECTION 30 patients of adhesive capsulitis of shoulder from physiotherapy department of tertiary care hospitals of Karachi were selected through simple random sampling technique. PROCEDURE Treatment was continued for 5 days per week for the period of 3 weeks followed by assessment. Patients were randomly divided into two equal groups. Group A was treated with midrange mobilization while group B performed self-exercises. Both groups received TENS and hot pack prior to the exercises. Mean ± SD, frequencies and percentages were used for descriptive analysis. ROM via goniometry and pain intensity through VAS was analyzed by paired t-test within the groups and by independent t-test between the groups, using SPSS. P-value of less than 0.05 was considered significant. RESULTS 60% were females (n=18) and 40% were males (n=12) with mean age of 50.17±6.37 years. Significant improvement (p-value <0.05) in pain and shoulder ROM was observed among patients of Group A as compared to Group B. Pain intensity was decreased to 1.67 ± 0.62 in group A, whereas ROMs in these patients were also better than other group.

This action research aims: (1) to improve the science learning outcomes of VIIA class students in the even semester of SMP Negeri 1 Manggis in the academic year 2017/2018 by applying the learning investigation (GI) learning model assisted by learning videos. This type of research is classroom action research. The subjects of this study were 30 students in class VIIA, and the object of this study was the science learning outcomes. This action research is planned to be carried out in two cycles. Learning outcomes data were collected using multiple choice tests. Data were analyzed by descriptive analysis. The results showed that: (1) The natural science learning outcomes of the VIIA class in the second semester increased in the first cycle by an average of 70, 70% absorption, with a 50% grade completeness, and an average cycle II of 77, 77 absorption %, with 86.6% class completeness. With the achievement of an average of 77 Natural Science learning outcomes, it means that it is above the established success level of 70, so that the action is considered successful. Thus it can be said that the application of the learning investigation (GI) group learning model assisted by learning videos can improve the learning outcomes of natural science students in class VIIA an even number at SMPN 1 Manggis in the academic year 2017/2018.

Abstract In 2015, the University of Arkansas Department of Animal Science developed a strategy for assessing student-learning outcomes within its undergraduate teaching program. The first recognized outcome states that students will demonstrate foundational scientific knowledge in the general animal science disciplines of physiology, genetics, nutrition, muscle foods, and production animal management. Subsequently, a 58-item assessment tool was developed for direct assessment of student knowledge—focusing primarily on freshmen and senior students. Over the past 3 academic calendar years, 381 students (196 freshmen, 48 sophomores, 19 juniors, 113 seniors, 5 graduates) were assessed, either during an introduction to animal science course or by appointment with outgoing seniors majoring in animal science. Scores were categorized using demographic data collected at the beginning of the assessment tool. Comparison categories included academic class, major, and general student background (rural or urban). Data analysis were performed using the Glimmix procedure of SAS, with student serving as the experimental unit and significance set at P ≤ 0.05. Generally speaking, animal science majors performed better (P < 0.01) than students from other majors, and students with a rural background performed better (P < 0.01) than their urban-backgrounded peers. Overall, senior assessment scores averaged 23-percentage points greater (P < 0.01) than freshmen assessment scores, and the average scores for freshmen and seniors were 43% and 66% respectively. In regards to student performance within each discipline, there was an average improvement of 24 percentage points between freshmen and seniors in all of the measured disciplines except for muscle foods, which only saw a 10-percentage point improvement between the two classes. While the overall improvement in scores is indicative of increased student knowledge, the department would like to see greater improvement in all discipline scores for seniors majoring in animal science.

Background/Aim. Given that in each country students represent the most progressive population group, as of 2001, the Blood Transfusion Institute of Serbia (BTIS) has been carrying the program of voluntary blood donation promotion and education of volunteers at the University of Belgrade (UB). In 2011, the BTIS intensified all activities at the UB. The aim of this study was to present activities performed from 2001 at the Blood Donors` Motivation Department (DMD) of the BTIS related with increasing the level of awareness on voluntary blood donation in the Belgrade students` population, enhancing their motivation to become voluntary blood donors (VBDs), increasing the number of blood donations at faculties of the UB, and increasing the number of blood donations in the UB students population compared with the total number of blood units collected by BTIS in Belgrade, with the emphasis on the year 2013. Methods. Initially, the applied methodology was based on encouraging students to donate blood through discussions and preparatory lectures, followed by organized blood drives. Appropriate selection of volunteers at each faculty was crucial. Besides their recognisable identity, they had to have remarkable communication skills and ability to positivly affect persons in their environment. The applied principle was based on retention of volunteers all through the final academic year, with the inclusion of new volunteers each year and 1,000 preparatory lectures on the annual basis. The activities were realized using two Facebook profiles, SMS messages and continuous notification of the public through the media. Results. There was an increase in the average number of students in blood drives at the faculties from 2011, when the average number of the students per blood drive was 39, followed by 43 in 2012 and 46 in 2013. The number of students who donated blood in 2013 increased by 21.3% compared with 2012 data. Conclusion. The applied concept highly contributed to generation and retention of future VBDs willing to regularly donate blood in the coming years, with a minimum risk of transmission of transfusion transmissible diseases markers.
