Covid 19 is a new type of coronavirus that causes respiratory tract infections in humans ranging from cold coughs to more serious ones such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and is contagious. To stop the spread of covid 19, we must implement health protocols in our daily life. This study aims to determine the knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of health protocols from simple to Islamic concepts using qualitative methods with in-depth online interviews taken from 4 UMJ student informants. It was found that there were still students who still did not believe in the existence of Covid-19, knowing that the riskiest spread of covid came from droplets or sneezing, students mentioned 3M and 5M as the health protocols they applied, but the most effective way of prevention is to reduce mobilization in the community. outside the home, in terms of Islam students also know how to maintain cleanliness following religious teachings and pray that this pandemic will end soon. From this research, in implementing the health protocol, UMJ students have implemented it quite well and correctly. The knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of UMJ students in responding to the COVID-19 pandemics are good, starting with implementing 5M, always maintaining cleanliness, and from an Islamic point of view, they understand well.

The Javanese culture has a specific perspective on the ideal figure of women. This perspective is generally manifested in the classical texts, for example, in Serat Wulang Putri Adisara. Written by Nyi Adisara. Serat Wulang Putri contains the teachings for royal daughters in living their life as Javanese women based on Javanese teachings. In this manuscript, the readers can see the women figure portrayed from the perspective of a woman writer. This paper discusses the ideal women’s discourse in Serat Wulang Putri using the approach of critical discourse analysis from van Dijk. The analysis is conducted by considering the text’s microstructure, macrostructure, and cultural context. Through the analysis, we can see the ideal discourse of Javanese women based on Serat Wulang Putri. Furthermore, the text discusses women as figures who must pay attention to their attitudes and behavior, and can control their hearts, minds, and feelings. In this case, the author uses the male point of view to describe the characteristics of ideal Javanese women. Javanese women are also described as a weak figure and must obey what men command or expect from them.

Effectiveness of video game addiction prevention using ludo game for elementary school studentsPurposeThis study aimed to determine the effectiveness of ‘Ludo game’ for increasing knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of elementary school students concerning video-game addiction.MethodsThe research was a quasi-experimental study with pre and post tests and a control group design. The subjects were 99 elementary school students who were divided into treatment groups (two groups of intervention) and a control group. The data were collected using a questionnaire of knowledge, attitudes and behavior. Data analysis used paired t-test and analysis of variance (ANOVA) with significance level of 95% (p <0.05). ResultsThe characteristics of the study subjects in all three groups before the intervention were normally distributed. Paired t-test results showed that the ludo game and interactive lectures can improve knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors. However, there was no significant difference of knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors through Ludo compared to health education through interactive lectures in health education delivery. ConclusionLudo game and interactive lectures together can effectively improve the knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of elementary school students. Health education through ludo games was no more effective than the interactive lecture methods in increasing the knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of students on the prevention of video-game addictions.

The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of contexts on cheating attitudes and behavior among Brazilian undergraduates. Participants were 77 Previous Choice Engineering and 70 Late Choice Engineering students. Previous Choice students enter the desired field chosen by examination, whereas Late Choice students' grades during the two first college years give them preference to choose the field. Their self-reported attitudes and behaviors were compared with those of 82 chemistry undergraduates from two universities (UNI-C and USP-C). The Late Choice students reported significant negative opinion about cheating, whereas Previous Choice students, especially women, reported significant favorable opinion. Furthermore, Previous Choice students reported colleagues more frequently gave them answers on examinations than Late Choice students. The two university groups in chemistry had intermediate scores. Deterrents of cheating strongly embedded in the student culture were found among Late Choice engineering undergraduates which may be explained by social learning theory.

The article raises the problem of post-truth that is interpreted in conceptual and praxeological dimensions. The author proves that post-truth is an information and political technology that operates through the use of mechanisms of mixing the true with the false, emotionalizing, politainment, populism, cognitive distortions of mass consciousness, actualization and objectification of desires in order to ensure the sympathy of a wide audience to its source, as well as the legitimization of a certain kind of policy and its subjects. In contrast to the truth, which correlates with objective truth, post-truth, presenting an alternative view and assessment of reality, relies on the irrational aspects of human consciousness and behavior, his/her selfish interests, finding justifications for its existence in the effectiveness and efficiency of its action. The assertion of post-truth as a single correct interpretation of reality is helped by the effect of the spiral of silence and the effect of cognitive dissonance. The attitude to post-truth is determined by the place in the structure of power relations that generate and maintain the corresponding narrative. From the standpoint of the subject, a post-truth narrative is defined by its effectiveness and efficiency. From the recipient’s point of view, a post-truth narrative is defined by its ability to satisfy desires, interests, and feelings. In the socio-political space, post-truth plays a role as a new type of propaganda, which justifies the morally questionable policy of future benefits of its implementation for the majority of society to the detriment of political rivals, as well as national and religious minorities. In fact, the era of post-truth is determined by the fact that politics ceases to focus on universal justice, becomes a politics of disregard for minorities and citizens of other countries.

Presence of small plastic particles (< 5 mm), defined as microplastics, in the ocean and, especially, in coastal areas became evident in the last decade. From physical point of view, this fact indicates emergence of a new type of particles in the ocean. In contrast to the abundance of studies concerning sources, actual distribution and ecological effects of those particles, there are almost no detailed descriptions of physical mechanisms determining their distribution and behavior in the water column. Settling velocities of microplastics were measured in a series of experiments conducted in a 1-meter high glass tank filled with distilled water, in accordance with the typical methodology used in sedimentology. At first approximation, we supposed that the semi-empirical formulations developed for the natural sediments would be applicable to the microplastics. Results of preliminary experiments on microplastics of simple shapes justified this hypothesis. The majority of the implemented equations of settling velocity fitted well with the experimental data. Next step would be to test these formulations on the marine microplastic particles with greater variability in shapes. Based on a nationally representative sample of adult Poles (N = 1,004), we examined structural relationships between financial knowledge, skills, confidence, attitudes, and behavior in debt-domain. We found that financial confidence—at least regarding debt-related issues—is tied to debt attitudes and behavior beyond the extent to which the attitudes and behaviors are linked to objective debt knowledge. Moreover, the relationship between objective knowledge and confidence turned out to be insignificant in our study. These findings suggest that confidence should be used as a separate marker of financial capability. Having established that skills correlate with behavior and attitudes differently than objective knowledge, we argue also to include them separately in financial capability measurements.
