This research has an interpretive social science paradigm which implies an exploratory form. The purpose of the study was to find out various potential efforts carried out by the management of the Barokah Village Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) as an environmental communication strategy for conserving the Sira Springs in Putukrejo, Malang Regency. The research data collection method was a combination of in-depth interviews, partisan field observations, and documentation. Analysis of research data is descriptive-qualitative and uses interactive analysis techniques as a reference. Application of triangulation includes size, time, and observer. The technique of collecting informant data is purposively against representatives of village government apparatus, BUMDes administrators, and managers of springs. The study results reveal that the environmental communication strategy of BUMDes Barokah as an effort to preserve Sira springs is currently achieving a Strengthening Strategy as Focht’s preposition strengthened by Tyson & Unson (2006). This is due to the decreasing controversy among them and the relatively high level of public and scientific consensus that has been achieved since the beginning of Sira resource management through the establishment of BUMDes. This strengthening strategy is mainly through Word of Mouth, special performances or events, and mass communication and new media involving the participation of the local community. They also relatively understand the axioms of environmental communication as explained by Jurin, Roush, & Danter (2010) in their daily practice. The potential efforts of the BUMDes Barokah management, together with the work unit groups under its auspices and the Putukrejo village community, which are closely related to local characteristics, are densely discussed in this article.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, commonly abbreviated as MSMEs, is one of the pillars of the economy in Indonesia. It is proven that the MSMEs sector has repeatedly survived various crises that hit Indonesia starting from the monetary crisis in 1998 and the global crisis in 2008. Entering 2020, the world is again experiencing a more severe crisis, namely the COVID-19 pandemic. This crisis is seen as more severe because it has caused a worldwide health emergency that impacts other sectors, especially the economy. Restrictions on outdoor activities known as lockdowns have caused world economic activities to stop. This also impacts the activities of the MSMEs sector, which relies on economic turnover that comes from human activities. The MSMEs sector has been able to survive because of the direct marketing activities of individuals. The prohibition of gathering and opening a business openly (especially in the culinary sector) has had a significant impact on sustainability. Because of this, new marketing strategies for MSMEs sector players are needed to survive and even grow during the COVID-19 pandemic as it is today. Since the COVID-19 pandemic is imminent, this study aims to develop a marketing strategy for small businesses. This study employs a descriptive method and a qualitative approach. When the COVID-19 pandemic begins, UMPM must develop a marketing strategy that will allow them to continue to grow their business or at least to survive. There are eight reasons, namely a) Consumers are active on Social-Media; b) Easy contact with consumers; c) Increase Brand Visibility; d) The widest WOM container; e) e) Has Many Types of Platforms with Different Types of Consumers; f) Assisting in consumer targeting and retargeting; g) Using media more effectively, h) Increasing sales.

The agricultural sector is the largest contributor of organic waste that can be recycled as useful things, among others, used as organic fertilizer. This study aims to determine the effect of agricultural waste organic compost on the growth of Cocoa (Theobroma Cacao L.) plants. The analysis results of the materials to be applied are N-total: 0.27% P2O5: 3.20%, K2O: 1.63%, and C-Organic: 17.40%, then the research data were analyzed using a Randomized Block Design (RAK) which consists of 6 levels of treatment, namely: C0 = no fertilizer, C1 = soil + 20 g compost polybag-1, C2 = soil + compost 40 g. polybag-1, C3 = soil + compost 60 g. polybag-1, C4 = soil + compost 80 g. polybag-1, C5 = Soil + compost 100 g. polybag-1. Each experiment was repeated three times, so there were 90 experimental units. Observation parameters were plant height, number of leaves, and stem diameter. The results showed that, giving 100 g of organic waste compost polybag-1 gave better results on the growth of cacao seedlings, with a plant height of 29.61 cm, number of leaves 11.73 strands, and stem diameter of 3.38 mm. From this research, it can be concluded that it will produce better results if organic waste is managed properly.

This study aims to estimate the shelf life by applying the Arrhenius formula model to "galendo" which is vacuum packed and stored at various temperatures. Estimation of the shelf-life limit of galendos was carried out by measuring the peroxide number and sensory values of galendos which were deliberately kept open without being packed at room temperature (25 ○C). The sensory values used as the threshold for consumer rejection of the level of galendo's rancid odor were achieved on the 27th day of storage and the current peroxide count value was 42.2724 meq/kg. Galendo which was vacuum packed with aluminum foil and stored at various temperatures of 15 ○C, 25 ○C, and 35 ○C, then the shelf life was determined using the Arrhenius and Q10 models based on the parameters of the total peroxide number (TPN) and the total microbial content. Based on the experiment in this study, the estimation results of galendo's shelf life based on the total peroxide number (TPN) test parameter show that storage at 15 ○C has a shelf life of 83 days with a deterioration rate (k) of 0.0207, storage at 25 ○C shelf life 67 days with a deterioration rate (k) 0.0247, and storage at a temperature of 35 ○C for 58 days with a deterioration rate (k) 0.0286. The rate of quality degradation with a value of Q10 (15 oC - 25 oC) of 1.23 and a value of Q10 (25 oC - 35 oC) of 1.16. The higher the storage temperature, the higher the microorganism content.

"Freedom of Learning, Independent Campus" policy includes the opening of new study programs, a higher education accreditation system, the freedom to become a PTN-BH, and the right to study for three semesters outside the study program. This policy of the Minister of Education and Culture deserves to be called a reasonably extreme change. This then raises some doubts in the minds of academics. The method used by the author in this study is a literature study approach. In this method, data is collected through a literature study, analyzed, and presented in the discussion. The study results show that the visionary policy of the Minister of Education and Culture deserves to be appreciated. Still, several problems arise from implementing the "Independent Learning, Independent Campus" policy that must be immediately resolved.
