Rigorous transformations taken place in Russian society owing to information influence had drastically altered moral behavior patterns of an individual by designing different patterns of social reality. Transformation of reflexive structures of mental programs came into contradiction with normative (traditional, basic) behavior patterns of Russians that can be characterized as non-reflexive, conveying successive values and meanings, as well as mechanisms of development and self-determination of an individual. Hence, the article addresses features of self-determination of an individual in modern society determined by spiritual and mental sources of development. Trans-disciplinary approach is the theoretical and methodological basis of the scientific research. Analysis of mental programs and mental traditional matrixes of Russians, as well as spiritual meanings and values that define the process of self-determination corroborate the effectiveness of the research. Analysis of research papers suggests that self-determination relates to: self-actualization of potential, self-realization, spiritual self-comprehension, destination and integrity achievement, as well as to supreme values and meanings of culture of each civilization.

The article considers the need for a broad view on the technologization of career guidance practices, the importance of which is increasing due to the spread of early professionalization in modern society. The purpose of the article is to identify and substantiate the semantic foundations for the technologization of vocational guidance practices, determined taking into account the process of forming a personal-professional position in the conditions of early professionalization. Research methodology: systemic personality-developing, subjective and technological approaches; methods of theoretical research (analysis, synthesis, generalization, analogy, interpretation, concretization). Attention is drawn to the essential features of personal-professional positioning, the focus is on the attitude to work, profession, personal and professional self-determination. Semantic supports for the design of vocational guidance technologies are identified and justified: the differentiating basis of the stage of life activity; immersion in accessible roles in the field of professional and labor activity and the formation of a value attitude to them; attention to work, the pattern of work of any profession, the formed attitude to work as a value; professional and labor traditions of the family, related features of family identity and family socio-professional trajectory; definition and implementation of personal and professional prospects; preservation and strengthening of personal-professional position.

The article presents a systematic analysis of the Russian press of 1880, which actively responded to Dostoevsky’s Pushkin Speech. The interpretive boom around his speech is of particular interest for the study of the formative processes of public and national consciousness in Russia. In the history of journalism, the debates that took place at that time can be equated with modern information wars. At the same time, this episode is one of the decisive ones for the ‘Dostoevsky problem’ in criticism and, more broadly, in the Russian public consciousness. The “Pushkin Speech” was obviously of a unifying nature, but it, and even more so the 1880 “A Writer’s Diary,” caused a severe split in journalism, which reflected the mindset of the Russian society. At first, there is a change of semantic accents in telegrams and correspondence, and then the key concept of "panhumanity" is presented exclusively as a “dream” in publications opposing Dostoevsky, one that is not only incompatible with reality, but also distracts from pressing socio-economic problems. There is also an expansion in meaning in the form of the notorious “messianism” of Dostoevsky. The most commonly used concept used by journalists that are hostile to the writer is mysticism as a euphemism for faith. In parallel, a different understanding of the Pushkin speech is being formed in some publications (Mysl’, Nedelya, Novoe Vremya, a little later — Rus’). It views it as a verbalization of the national idea in its focus on the panhuman as a feasible ideal. The dispute that ensued around Dostoevsky’s speech led to the self-determination of the leading trends of Russian thought.

The subject of this article is the attempts of the Russian researchers to interpret the destructive processes in modern Russian society through the prism of development of archaization theory. Due to the lack of semantic definiteness, the concept of social archaization is often attributed to similar ones, such as “traditionalism”, “barbarization”, “patriarchalization”, “New Middle Ages", etc. The diversity of existing approaches substantiates the need to determine a certain theoretical core, which would become the foundation for further hypotheses. Special attention is given to problem of absence of a unified approach towards the definition of archaizing processes, as well as to the need for clarification and further functionality of the concept of social archaization. The novelty of this research consists in the critical overview and determination of flaws in the existing concepts of social archaization. It is demonstrated that the relevant findings of the Russian researchers do not always explain the origin of destructive processes in the Russian society. The effective practical solution to complications related to the phenomenon of social destruction is yet to be developed. The author proposes an alternative approach towards determination of the causes of archaization of the Russian society at the current stage; outlines the promising ways of reflection on archaizing trends; as well as formulates a refined definition of archaization of the modern society. The acquired results aim to lay theoretical foundation for further development and implementation of measures on overcoming destructive consequences of social archaicism.

Morphological analysis as constructing of certain typologies in the culture is no doubt connected with the genetic code of the ethnos. The genoformula has on one hand, numerous versions, on the other hand, a certain generalized notion about basic parameters of its functioning. What is this phenomenon connected with? With evolutional processes which are very difficult to retrace. Only the comparison of versions is able to discover the main pivot, model, inversion, a set of typological signs, a set of compulsory necessary elements. The study of the role of the ethnic substrate in the formation of cultural identification on the basis of historical typology refers to the primary universal values and local features of the spiritual self-determination of peoples. The article makes an attempt to present the methodology of musical Turkology based on the material of Azerbaijani folk music.

The paper discusses the influence of organized crime on the criminalization of modern Russian society — the so-called self-determination of crime. To effectively counteract the self-determination of crime, a comprehensive study of all its forms and mechanisms is necessary, special emphasis should be placed on organized crime due to its heightened social danger. The proposed approach allows a deeper and more precise study of self-determination of organized crime and related phenomena. Recently, there has been a transformation of domestic organized crime into economic crime, which explains the deep criminalization of the Russian economy. The paper also discusses another form of self-determination of crime that is closely related to organized crime — corruption. The Russian experience in combating organized crime highlights the need to develop an integrated strategy in this area. The results of the study can be applied in the educational process in the study of the Criminology Course in higher educational institutions.

Problems of modern religiosity, its origin, causes and real level in Ukrainian society; religious self-identification, which in sociological surveys and polls of different levels was usually identified with the true level of religiosity in society; problems of validity and authenticity of religious self-determination of a person and other related problems were started to be considered by scientists (religious scholars, sociologists, cultural scientists) from the late 80's - early 90's of the XX century. mostly as a response to the increasing trend of religiosity in Ukraine. Already in the first half of the 90-ies there are works in which attempts were made to understand the phenomenon of modern religiosity in Ukrainian society, to identify the reasons for the steadily increasing religiosity, at least in general terms to characterize its peculiarities. Notwithstanding the huge number of extra-scientific, emotionally-complementary, poorly substantiated methodologically and factually, confessionally biased publications of this period, it should be noted that the scientific progress in the study of modern religiosity was related to the studies of the Institute of Religion NAS of Ukraine, other centers that have directly or indirectly studied the functioning of religion and the church in modern society.

The article is devoted to the problem of identifying the content and use of the concept “new ethics” in the journalistic, philosophical and cultural Russian-language literature of recent years. The author reveals the internally contradictory nature of this concept, since Russian-speaking authors are trying to grasp the phenomenon that has arisen and is actively developing, primarily in Western Europe, and which does not have such a kind of conceptual verbalization there. The article shows that there is a shift of emphasis from the discussion of the phenomena of the “new moral sensitivity”, which are also of a value-ambiguous nature, to the discussion of the concept in its negative connotation. The author shares the position of those theorists who believe that for the ethical self-determination of Russian society, it is more important today to direct the focus of humanitarian research attention not so much to the term as to the analysis of the phenomenon that gave rise to it.

The article is devoted to the study of the problem of professional self-determination of personality and its relevance in contemporary socio-economic conditions. An analysis of the work of domestic and foreign scholars on the problem of professional self-determination of personality, made it possible to find out that there is no single theory in the understanding of the process of professional self-determination of personality. The article reveals the essence of the concepts of «personality», «profession», «professional self-determination», «professional self-determination of personality», «self-determination». The genesis is analyzed and approaches to the definition of the essence of the concept of «professional self-determination of personality» are considered. The emphasis is placed on the professional self-determination of a personality as a multicomponent phenomenon that is interconnected with professional development and the formation of an individual. The author’s definition of the concept of «professional self-determination of personality» is proposed as a prolonged, dynamic and phased process of self-knowledge and professional choice, influenced by external and internal factors of the subject. It has been established that in the writings of leading scholars there is an increased interest in the problem of professional self-determination of personality. The great experience of the various concepts and theoretical approaches developed to understanding the problem of professional self-determination of personality points to the complexity and multicomponent nature of the phenomenon of «professional self-determination of personality», as well as its close connection with the person’s self-determination of the person, his self-realization, self-actualization and self-knowledge in professional activity.

The relevance of the topic is determined by the second wave of the religious “renaissance” (after “returning to the path leading to church” in the 1990s). Russian and European intellectuals express their undiminished interest in the spiritual practices of philosophizing, now in the communicative environment of the Internet. The article discusses the problem of metaphysical understanding of “content different from being” in connection with the fundamental question of the German philosophical thought – the question of the spiritual self-determination of an individual, which basically means the transformation of the “positive” religious philosophy into the “religion of revelation”. The aim of the work is to clarify the nature, content and form of philosophical and theological constructs and philosophical and religious systems that explain the interaction of the “uncreated Spirit” and “spiritual individuality”. These constructs are drawn on the philosophizing practices of the German romantic school of thought. In this sense, there is no particular distinction between Fichteanism, Schellingianism and Hegelianism. The methods of the study are defined by the methodology of the sources themselves (adjusted for the difference between the research paradigms of the past and the present), with special focus on dialectics. Some of the hermeneutic methods were also used for interpreting religion as the “revelations” of an individual spirit. The study resulted in revealing the continuity between the “positive” philosophy of the 1820s and the 1830s and the romantic philosophy of the 1790s and the 1800s, which predetermined the epistema of the philosophy of religion, characteristic of classical German philosophy. The author comes to the conclusion that “positive” religion, ontologically significant for the “self-determination” of an individual (and correlating with the individual’s relationships with the world), in the gnoseological terms is close to philosophical cognition, which makes it a specific form of socialization.
