AbstractThe covid-19 made Indonesian people worried because many people were affected by the transmission of the virus. Because the government adopted the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) policy as a step to reduce or break the Covid-19 distribution chain. This research is a qualitative study using empirical literature. This research was conducted by examining data consisting of documents related to research, as well as seeing, listening to, as well as understanding social conversations in the community. The results of the study stated that there are provisions of this PSBB, which can be obeyed by the Indonesian people because as we know about Corona Virus (Covid-19) this is a real threat and cannot be reversed. However, the people whose livelihoods are officially informally are asking for ways to fulfill their daily needs. It would be nice if the government considers the lives of lower class people who are trying to meet basic needs and ensure the availability of goods and people who are able to provide them.

UNSTRUCTURED This study investigated self-policing COVID-19 and civic responsibilities in Lagos Metropolis, Nigeria adopting an online qualitative interview due to the current lockdown that denied field (face to face) interview. Fifty out of the feedbacks from the online interview were picked randomly to arrive at the conclusion of this study. The feedbacks suggested that there is adequate awareness of the COVID-19 pandemic among the people living in Lagos Metropolis, Nigeria and that they are following the directives of federal and state governments in an effort to reduce the community transmission of the infectious diseases. However, the ban on public gatherings and movements has made it impossible for many homes to meet their basic needs especially feeding. The government provided palliatives have also been largely insufficient to cater for the vulnerable. There could be a crisis (such as hunger) and the breakdown of law and order if the government does not increase their capacity to mitigate the hardship which the ongoing lockdown has imposed on the people. With the increasing number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia, including in Riau Province, it is necessary to implement Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB). PSBB is one way to reduce the impact of Covid-19. PSBB has currently been implemented in 10 regions in Indonesia as part of efforts to prevent the corona virus. The Central Government through the Ministry of Health has approved Pekanbaru to implement the PSBB. The main reason for implementing PSBB in dealing with the Covid-19 corona virus is because physical distancing, which has been carried out so far, is ineffective in the community. On that basis, the government strengthened the policy of physical restrictions for the community by implementing PSBB in the regions. It is necessary to do the socialization of PSBB and this Perwako, so that the public knows the Rules about PSBB. The service activity aims to provide guidance to the people of Pekanbaru City regarding Corona and PSBB, because Pekanbaru City is one of the cities that is a transit point. The implementation of activities to increase public knowledge about PSBB and Perwako was successful. This can be seen from changes in the behavior of people who were previously reluctant to wear masks, then have started wearing masks when they go out, as can be seen from the behavior of people who have avoided people's hassles and tried to keep their distance. The community also complies with large-scale social restrictions set by the government, this can be seen from the minimum community activity at night outside the home.

In its program for underdeveloped areas, the United Nations faces on a large scale the need to effect concrete adaptations of the habits of indigenous peoples to modern knowledge and technology. Research to determine the best methods of procedure has disclosed that, in certain areas, previous attempts on the part of administrators to introduce innovations and make changes which could not be integrated into the cultural pattern of the indigenous people proved unsatisfactory to them and costly to the government concerned. In most cases, changes in diet, crops and habits of work—let alone the introduction of industrial disciplines—may not be pressed down like a cookie-cutter on a going society. The administration of change often proves a disconcertingly stubborn affair, exasperating both to the administrator and to the people whom he seeks to catch up into the ways of "progress."

Development process in Odisha (before 2011 Orissa) may have led to progress but has also resulted in large-scale dispossession of land, homesteads, forests and also denial of livelihood and human rights. In Odisha as the requirements of development increase, the arena of contestation between the state/corporate entities and the people has correspondingly multiplied because the paradigm of contemporary model of growth is not sustainable and leads to irreparable ecological/environmental costs. It has engendered many people’s movements. Struggles in rural Odisha have increasingly focused on proactively stopping of projects, mining, forcible land, forest and water acquisition fallouts from government/corporate sector. Contemporaneously, such people’s movements are happening in Kashipur, Kalinga Nagar, Jagatsinghpur, Lanjigarh, etc. They have not gained much success in achieving their objectives. However, the people’s movement of Baliapal in Odisha is acknowledged as a success. It stopped the central and state governments from bulldozing resistance to set up a National Missile Testing Range in an agriculturally rich area in the mid-1980s by displacing some lakhs of people of their land, homesteads, agricultural production, forests and entitlements. A sustained struggle for 12 years against the state by using Gandhian methods of peaceful civil disobedience movement ultimately won and the government was forced to abandon its project. As uneven growth strategies sharpen, the threats to people’s human rights, natural resources, ecology and subsistence are deepening. Peaceful and non-violent protest movements like Baliapal may be emulated in the years ahead.

Preservation of Andun Dance in South Bengkulu. Andun dance is one of the dances of South Bengkulu’s people, which is currently less popular. This dance is a form of cultural and traditional art in South Bengkulu that still exists and has Islam and traditional nuance. In a marriage ceremony, for example, this dance is performed for seven days and seven nights. For those with a modern view, the Andun dance is a series of long and tiring processions and should be abandoned or modified. However, because it has become a custom and tradition, most people still carry out this long procession until now, even though it requires a lot of time and money. Andun dance is now less attractive because there are so many foreign cultures that enter South Bengkulu people, especially its young people. Andun dance is also getting worse because the places to express this dance are decreasing in number. For example, South Bengkulu people’s traditional marriage rituals are usually held for seven days and seven nights. Still, at present, the practices held are not carried out that long. Andun dance, which is currently experiencing ups and downs, has not been able to regrow the community’s interest and youth.
