An enterprise operating in terms of market economy must always set itself the task of further development and improvement in order to be successful and competitive. To solve this problem, it is necessary to produce a development strategy. This problem is all the more relevant for small enterprises, which find it more difficult than large enterprises to survive in the competition. Therefore, small businesses face the task of developing and implementing such a strategy for their development, which allows them to clearly define their goals and outline the ways to achieve them. The article considers various points of view on the concept of «strategy», the classification of strategies that exist in the scientific literature, including those applied to small businesses, brings forth the authors' point of view on this concept. It pays a particular attention to the proposed approach to the process of strategy formation and the mechanism of its implementation in relation to small businesses. It makes a conclusion that on the basis of the systematic approach the strategy under development should be comprehensive and include such elements as marketing, product, production, personnel, management, financial strategy and risk strategies. It brings forth a description of the content of each element. It examines an algorithm for developing an integrated strategy for development of small businesses, as well as a mechanism for implementing the strategy.

Clustering of the economy of individual territories determines the most effective integration their into the world economic system, makes it possible for the accumulation and optimal use of resources from the point of view of global trends, contributes to the efficiency of state industrial policy. Clusters have become one of the main driving forces and determinants of regional competitiveness, the effectiveness of which is confirmed by world experience. They make it possible to increase the competitiveness not only of their enterprises, but also of specific industries within the region, as well as to expand the introduction of innovations, reduce transaction costs, develop and strengthen the relationship between business, science and the state. The resulting synergistic effect of creating a cluster is not only to increase the efficiency of its work as a whole in comparison with the efficiency of individual participants, but also to mutually strengthen the competitive position of both industry production and its home territory.The content characteristic of the concept of “economic cluster of the region”, which distinguishes the author’s approach from other well-known scientific approaches by the fact that as part of regional clusters, a special kind of them can be distinguished-an economic cluster of small enterprises, which is a localized and geographically concentrated group of small businesses, interconnected and complementary to each other, has been clarified in the article. In the center of cluster education are one or more large and stable in their development enterprises, that provide effective demand, have common (similar) economic interests, a common development strategy aimed at activating the activities of small enterprises in the region.Small enterprises, that are part of the regional economic cluster can provide the region with a higher level of production efficiency and competitiveness in comparison with other non-systemically organized economic structures.

The article considers business practices of Moscow small industry in the XIX century, basing upon physiological sketches of N. Polevoy and I. Kokorev, statistical data and the classification of professions are also presented. The author claims that the heroes of the analyzed sketches are the forefathers of Moscow small businesses and shows what a deep similarity their occupations and a way of life bear to the present-day routine existence of small enterprises.

The purpose of the work is to explore the point of view in Vasily Shukshin's short stories in its systematic and diverse manifestation. Topicality is provided by the exceptional significance of this category in narratology. The study of the point of view based on the material of short stories by Vasily Shukshin has been conducted for the first time. The article briefly traces the history of scientific understanding of the category of point of view in foreign and Russian philology and notes the variety of approaches and definitions in the formulation of the concept. The authors use the classification of Boris Uspenskij for analysis and consider the point of view in Vasily Shukshin's short stories in psychological, ideological (evaluative), spatial-temporal and phraseological terms. The positions of Boris Korman, Yuri Lotman, Wolf Schmid and Franz Karl Stanzel also take into account. The authors note the features of Vasily Shukshin's narration that affect the expression of the point of view in the text. Vasily Shukshin's short stories are characterised by a dynamic and frequent change of points of view, which indicates the technique of “montageˮ and similarities in this regard with cinematic techniques. The conclusions generalise the variety of ways and forms of expression of the point of view in the studied artistic material. The point of view in the considered stories is characterised by variability in the correlation of subjects of speech and subjects of consciousness, alternation of external and internal points of view, mutual transitions from one to the other, text interference and other hybrid phenomena.

The pronounced globalization changes and the high degree of digitization are everyday in the modern work that cause changes in the operation of enterprises, regardless of the size and type of activity it performs. In this regard, the Internet as an informative medium is a part of everyday life, and the adoption of a certain decision for the future business activity is related to the consideration of various social media Social media is a powerful communication medium, but also a tool for sharing information about the business. Through social media, businesses have the opportunity to follow the latest trends, opportunities and analysis and actively participate in the business environment where customers are present and interconnected. Social networking is part of the day-to-day operation of enterprises. Small businesses are increasingly using social media as a marketing tool to improve customer relationships. From the content point of view, the paper will explain the characteristics of social media, the differences between traditional and social media as marketing tools and the factors that contribute to the increased use of social media in everyday work. The subject of this paper's research is focused on perceiving the importance and influence of social media on the development of small enterprises in the Republic of Macedonia. For this purpose, practical research has been conducted. The conducted analysis of the environment and the results of the conducted research confirm the established hypotheses that social media represent a real need for all enterprises and entrepreneurs need education to gain knowledge about the opportunities offered by social media. On the basis of the obtained results from the conducted research will be given suggestions and directions in order to efficiently exploit the possibilities of social media and improve the performance of enterprises in order to adjust the contemporary processes.

In many countries, small businesses have a significant impact on the total gross domestic product. However, in Ukraine, the opportunities of small businesses to ensure the economic growth of the state are not sufficiently used yet. Among the reasons for this phenomenon is the insufficiently high rate of economic development of domestic small businesses, which, among other things, is due to the low level of investment activity of many small enterprises in Ukraine. In turn, the low volume of investment activity of such enterprises is also because the owners and managers of these enterprises are not competent enough to form and assess the financial potential of investment activities of business entities. Given this, the study aims to develop theoretical and methodological principles for the formation and evaluation of the financial potential of small enterprises’ investment activities. The economic content of the concept of the strategy of formation of the financial potential of small enterprises' investment activity is considered. Classification of factors influencing the magnitude of this potential has been developed. In particular, the primary and secondary, deterministic and non-deterministic, positive and negative factors that are directly or indirectly involved in the formation of the financial potential of small enterprises’ investment activities are highlighted. It is established that the process of such formation involves the transition from the existing to the strategic financial potential of investment activities of economic entities. The main ways of such transition are identified. Indicators for assessing the existing and strategic financial potential of investment activities of small enterprises are proposed. The connection between these indicators is established, and we perform their decomposition. In particular, the amount of the available financial potential of the business entity is presented as the sum of the opportunities to use the company's own funds, as well as obtaining loans and borrowed funds to finance investment projects. The results of the study can be used in planning the investment activities of small enterprises, in particular, in justifying the rational parameters of financial support for these activities.

The problem of the observer and point of view is examined within the broad semiological and cognitive perspective. Structuralist narratology made an attempt of a formal-linguistic classification of points of view to avoid anthropomorphic-visual connotations inherent in narratological terminology. The alternative opportunity would be the usage of terms-metaphors as theoretical models. From the point of view of the observer, the process of text generation evolves in the double space of perception/conception and interpretation. Instead of comparing different media in terms of the privileged metalanguage, it would be more fruitful to base the comparison upon their immanent cognitive characteristics.

The article is aimed at offering and highlighting the results of the authors’ research on existing approaches and methods for change management, as well as to finding ways to improve the effective implementation of changes at the enterprise. The subject of the research was methodological approaches to the process of change management at the enterprise. The research was carried out by analyzing scientific works of foreign and domestic scholars on the topic of the article. The concept of change management is substantiated, which is based upon the possibility to reproduce the model of successful changes on the basis of specific instruments that allow to effectively implement changes. In the course of the analysis, the main competitive advantages that the enterprise can get in the implementation of effective change management were allocated. The models that allow efficient implementation of changes are defined. The choice of a particular model depends on the nature of the enterprise’s work and its chosen development strategy. It is proposed to classify approaches to change management by the nature of changes and the nature of management. Also noted is the necessity to distinguish between approaches to development management by the nature of planning, organization, management and control at the enterprise. In addition to approaches to change management at enterprises, it is advisable to consider existing models of implementation of changes, taking into account the specific situation and the desired results. The authors developed and proposed the process of managing changes at the enterprise in the form of a specific algorithm. As a result, the direction of further development of classification of approaches to change management is obtained. The authors propose their own vision of the change management process, which is advisable to present in the form of a specific algorithm for implementing and managing changes at the enterprise. Prospects for further research are coverage of applied aspects of change management at domestic enterprises.

Purpose. The aim of the article is to disclose the organizational aspect of self-control (setting tasks and sources of information) based on innovations. Methodology of research. The following methods are used to achieve this goal: comparative law ‒ to study the regulations governing innovation in Ukraine; system approach ‒ in the process of studying the factors that affect self-control; systematization, grouping and abstraction ‒ for the formation of tasks and sources of information for the organization of self-control and the content of the test of the innovative project of self-control. Findings. It is established that the main elements of innovations of self-control are methods and programs of self-control, modern software and means of automation of self-control, continuous training of employees. Indicators of efficiency of innovations at self-control are resulted. It is proved that the introduction of self-control based on innovations helps to strengthen the owner's control over capital. The test of the innovative project of self-control is offered. According to the stages of self-control, its tasks and necessary sources of information are determined. Originality. The substantiation of the expediency of self-control on the basis of innovations in the management of the enterprise, in particular, at the expense of the offered test of the innovative project of self-control has got further development. Practical value. The study is the basis for further development of self-control in the management of Ukrainian enterprises. The proposed test of the innovative project of self-control can be used in assessing the level of internal control of the enterprise. The essence of the concept of «financial security of enterprise» and threats to it is researched; their classification is provided. According to the results of a comparative analysis of the scholars’ definitions regarding the concepts of «financial security of enterprise» and «threats to the financial security of enterprise», the authors’ own definitions are presented. Financial security of enterprise is considered as an instrument that ensures the sustainability and security of enterprise in the process of implementing its development strategy from the internal and external factors, threats both in the current period of activity and in the future. A threat is a course of events of an external or internal nature, which affects the financial condition of enterprise and entails consequences of varying degrees of severity, the solution of which will require financial, time, labor costs. According to the results of the study of scientific definitions on the essence of financial security of enterprise, some features are allocated. Financial security of enterprise is understood by the authors as: a component that allows choosing and implementing a financial strategy; the ability of enterprise to independently develop and conduct a financial strategy; the result of managed processes, which ensures the acquisition to some extent of its financial freedom; the state of protection of financial interests of enterprise; the financial condition of enterprise; the ability to create and maintain financial conditions at the enterprise; the status of financial security with the ensured business processes. The authors’ own classification of threats according to a number of signs and types is suggested and considered: by the place of origin, by the type of origin system, by the degree of losses, by the possibility of forecasting, by the prospect of impact, by the stability of influence, by the consequences of influence, by the fact of influence, by the threat subjects, by the type of disasters. The research of the essence of financial security of enterprise and threats to it has displayed the complexity and diversity of these concepts. This is evidenced by an extensive range of definitions, each of which has its own characteristics. It should also be noted the absence of a unified classification of threats to financial security.
