Mankind has undergone three scientific and technical revolutions and is now embarking on the fourth (also known as the Industrial Revolution 4.0). Globalization forces companies to review and innovate their production processes in the direction of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 – the integration of tools such as artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, etc. which are connected globally through digital data transmission. In spite of being in the new revolution, Vietnam is yet to utilize the achievements of the second and especially the third revolution. At the same time, it is expected that Vietnam is among the hardest hit countries due to its unreadiness in all aspects. This paper aims to (1) provide an overview of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, (ii) evaluate the influence of the revolution on Vietnam, and (iii) analyze opportunities and challenges for Vietnam's economy. A number of recommendations to develop Vietnam's economy in the near future is also provided, including: (1) Changing education and training strategies to be in line with the Industrial Revolution 4.0, especially the undergraduate education; (2) Having appropriate science and technology development strategy to increase labor productivity and build a foundation for advanced science and technology; and (3) strengthening the role of the State.

The OECD (The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development) reports show that science and technology play a significant role in socio-economic development. In this trend, education and training in the field of engineering and technology are crucial in forming and developing a labour force for adapting to the increasingly science and technology-powered context. Those countries who are undertaking suitable policies in engineering education and training have obtained remarkable development. In Vietnam, engineering education and training has caught on that trend via the increasing number of engineering universities. However, these higher education institutions would be only successful if receiving adequate attention in terms of development policies and investment. This paper aims at investigating the current status of engineering universities and proposing some recommendations for the development of this higher education section. Keywords Engineering universities; fourth industrial revolution; entrepreneurship education; technology transfer; science and technology development context. The industrial revolution 4.0 and 21st-century skills leave fundamental problems in the implementation of 2013 curriculum teaching materials with an integrated thematic approach, including learning the art of music in elementary schools. It is very important for teachers to integrate technology into learning. The purpose of this research is to develop interactive multimedia in the form of a digital songbook as a support for integrated thematic teaching materials. The type of research that has been used is Research & Development which refers to the ADDIE. The subjects of this study were 4 (four) teachers and 100 elementary school students in the city of Padang. Data collection techniques and instruments were in the form of a questionnaire consisting of a validation questionnaire for validators and a practicality questionnaire given to teachers and students. The data analysis technique was obtained by taking the average results of product validation and practicality. The results showed that the average score of content and graphic validation was 84.1% in the appropriate category, while the average practicality score was 86.7%. Thus, the Digital Song Book is feasible and practical to use in learning the art of music as a support for integrated thematic teaching materials in elementary schools that meaningful for elementary students. The findings of this study have significant implications for designers and teachers, as well as multimedia researchers.

The learning process performed by teachers generally using the lecture method or deliver the learning materials orally. Communication is done in one way, and if there are learners who pay less attention to the lesson, they will be missed the lesson . One way to overcome this problem is to use information technology-based learning media (e-learning). The software used is LMS (Learning Management System) MOODLE based on Open Source and Ms. Office Applications Power Point for learning the content creation. The aim of the program is to improve the ability of teachers in mastering the information technology (ICT), to train the teachers to create teaching material content of ICT-based, and to allow teachers to update teaching materials in the future. The training was conducted using the method of learning by doing, where each participant can learn by direct practice. The activities done in the project were collecting data on teachers with a minimum requirement of the ability to run a computer properly, training on teaching materials based on office applications using Ms. Power Point, and training in the use of e-learning for teachers in Islamic boarding school of Taruna Insani. The article concentrates on the colonial and postcolonial history, architecture and topography of the southeastern areas of London, where on both banks of the River Thames in the 18th–20th centuries there were located the docks, which became an architectural and engineering response to the rapidly developing trade of England with territories in the Western and Eastern hemispheres of the world. Constructions for various purposes — pools for loading, unloading and repairing ships, piers, shipyards, office and warehouse premises, sites equipped with forges, carpenter’s workshops, shops, canteens, hotels — have radically changed the bank line of the Thames and appearance of the British capital, which has acquired the status of the center of a huge empire. Docks, which by the beginning of the 20th century, occupied an area of 21 hectares, were the seamy side of an imperial-colonial enterprise, a space of hard and routine work that had a specific architectural representation. It was a necessary part of the city intended for the exchange of goods, where the usual ideas about the beauty gave way to considerations of safety, functionality and economy. Not distinguished by architectural grace, chaotically built up, dirty, smoky and fetid, the area was one of the most significant symbols of England during the industrial revolution and colonial rule. The visual image of this greatness was strikingly different from the architectural samples of previous eras, forcing contemporaries to get used to the new industrial aesthetics. Having disappeared in the second half of the 20th century from the city map, they continue to retain a special place in the mental landscape of the city and the historical memory of the townspeople, which is reflected in the chain of museums located in this area that tell the history of English navigation, England’s participation in geographical discoveries, the stages of conquering the world, creating an empire and ways to acquire the wealth of the nation.
