Benzene is a natural compound contained in petroleum. Exploitation of petroleum can be done traditionally and modern. Exposure in traditional oil mining contained benzene compound can cause high levels of urine t,tmuconic acid in workers. The highest urine t,t-muconic acid levels can be affected by several factors including work period and work duration. The aim of this study was to analyzed the correlation between work period and work duration to urine t,t-muconic acid levels in traditional oil mining workers. This was an observational study with cross sectional approach. Eleven (11) sample was drawn from twelve (12) population of traditional oil mining workers. The variables studied were urine t,t-muconic acid levels, work period and work duration. Methods of data analysis to known the correlation between variabels used spearmen correlation test with α=0.05. The result showed that benzene level in ambien air measured at 4 points were exceeded the threshold limit while, 72.3% of workers had t,t-muconic acid levels within urine highest the BEIs levels. Work period and work duration were significally correlated to urine t,t- muconic acid levels (all variables, p<0.05). It can be concluded that the longer the work period and work duration were the highest the t,t-muconic acid levels of urine would be.Keywords: traditional oil mining, urine t,t-muconic acid levels, work duration, work time

This study aims at determining the normal flora of Streptococcus sp., the inhabitants of the oral cavity in the tartar that can lead to health problems. This study is an observational study with cross sectional analytic approach performed on 47 samples of dental smear for Streptococcus sp. bacteria identification and EDTA blood samples for Hemoglobin level examination, hematocrit percent, the number of erythrocytes, leukocytes and platelets in University of Nahdlatul Ulama Surabaya students. The result of Independent Samples T Test data analysis in a cut point showed that the levels of hemoglobin, number of leukocytes and platelets look significantly different with p <0.05 in individuals with normal flora Streptococcus alpha and Streptococcus gamma. The conclusion in this study, in individuals with normal flora Streptococcus alpha, can decrease hemoglobin level, whereas in individuals with normal flora Streptococcus gamma can increase the number of leukocytes and decrease the number of platelets.

Mixed ice is a beverage that is very popular with people and is very easy to find. Traders mixed ice that their hygiene is not quite right; it is very easily contaminated by pathogen bacteria. Landasan Ulin District as a trading centre in Kota Banjarbaru makes it strategic place so many mixed ice traders found in this District. This study was aiming to determine the traders mixed ice's hygiene with the contamination of Salmonella sp bacteria in blended ice. This type of research was an analytical survey with a cross-sectional study design. Data were collected by observing, interviewing and examining samples, as many as 23 mixed ice samples were analysing of salmonella sp bacteria. Data analysis was performing using Somer's d correlation test. The results showed that there was a significant correlation between personal hygiene of mixed ice traders with Salmonella sp bacteria with a negative correlation direction which could be a conclusion that the higher the personal hygiene score of combined ice traders, the Salmonella sp bacteria would be harmful in mixed ice. It is suggested to the next researcher to check the Salmonella sp bacteria on each component of blended ice so that they will know at what stage Salmonella sp bacteria have contaminated the ice mixed.
