Humans as caliphs in the world must preserve the environment because human survival is very dependent on the environment. In encouraging the preservation of the environment, the community must live up to the values of wisdom that support the maintenance and preservation of the environment. However, in the digital age, this has led to a shift in cultural values of local wisdom. These values are increasingly fading because media exposure is increasingly dominating all human life. As experienced by the community in Cimanggu Village, Ngamprah District, West Bandung. They recognize that there are changes and shifts in cultural values. The focus of this research is to look at the cultural values  of local wisdom that exist in the village and how the meaning of the shift in cultural values  of local wisdom by the media for the local community. This research is qualitative research with a phenomenological study approach. Data collection techniques using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The results of the study revealed that the cultural values  of local wisdom in the Cimanggu village were (1) Ngahiras, (2) Nyalin, (3) Tarawangsa, (4) Palak Science, (5) Palakiah, and (6) Kotok Jewer. The meaning of shifting the cultural values of local wisdom by the media for the local community includes: (1) Village communities perceive technological media as making rural communities more consumptive, (2) creating a shift in the professional direction of rice farmers into vegetable growers, and (3) Media exposure has a positive side as well as the negative side.

This paper investigates the impact of media campaign against Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in the rural areas of Enugu State. One hundred and sixty three women attending the antenatal clinics in six rural communities and twenty-four heads of Women groups were selected as sample for this cross-sectional survey. Structured questionnaire and interview were used to collect data while analysis of the data was done with SPSS version 20.0. The results reveal among others that the media campaign against FGM in Enugu state is ineffective. It further reveals that cultural values (51%), poor network reception (23%), epileptic power supply (18%), inaccessible media, and the nature of the content of the campaign are responsible for the ineffectiveness. Given the findings, the researchers recommends the modernization of the media and the contents of its FGM campaign for rural reach/accessibility, the development of pro-Igbo cultural programmes against FGM practice, and the use of visual methods to establish/prove the relationship between FGM, infections/diseases and maternal deaths. Further empirical research on FGM – maternal health care in Enugu State is recommended.

The desire of the community to obtain the entertainment and also getting new knowledge is a great opportunity for the development of educational tourism villages. This opportunity occurs because of the saturation in education development in the room. However, in the development of tourism villages we must give attention to the aspects of social life, culture, and livelihoods of rural communities. The purpose of the research is to find out the strategies for the development of educational villages based on the potential of tourism products. This study uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. The process of collecting data used is interviews, observation, F G D, and literature. Descriptive data analysis techniques with stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Test Validity and reliability through the source triangulation process. Informants in this study were the government (3 people), community leaders and religion (5 people), and village tourism managers (5 people). The number of respondents is 13 people. The results of the study show that the development model of educational tourism villages in Cibodas Village has six strategies, namely (a) increasing active community participation in the development of tourism villages (b) the development of distinctive tourism villages based on the natural, social and cultural potential of the local community; (c) capacity building of community institutions as tourism village management institutions (d) development of tourism promotion media; (e) improvement of human resources through structured and organized education and training programs; (f) mentoring carried out in a structured manner from the relevant institution / agency.

Community-Based Tourism (CBT) is an approach to tourism presumed to achieve the sustainable development goals (SDGs), especially involved on SDG1-No Poverty and SDG11-Sustainable Cities and Communities. In rural communities, homestays are essential CBT component that have made many contributions to the local economy and quality of life. The Malaysia Homestay Programme (MHP) has received special attention from the government due to its potential to enhance local communities’ livelihoods and economic sustainability. This study assesses factors that measure the successful performance of communitybased tourism on the MHP. Homestay programmes are a form of community tourism, in which the host (operator) provides family-friendly stay facilities for rent to tourists, thus generating additional income for the family. Based on the previous studies, the homestay operators faced the following external challenges such as village landscape, inefficient networking, lack of cooperation and commitment from homestay operators, exploitation of external parties, as well as ineffective promotional and marketing activities. These challenges must be resolved effectively to sustain the MHPs forward momentum. Essentially, the experiences of hosts (homestay operators) in dealing with the above mentioned challenges should be sought and empirically documented for future policy-making activities by the development agencies and the society. The national economy is bound to progress with escalating arrivals of tourists if effective strategies are devised by the stakeholders in resolving the problems faced by the homestay operators. Prior studies have listed the critical factors that dictated the success or failure of CBT programmes from the stance of CBT managers and experts. Nonetheless, insights from the local community pertaining to the success of CBT have been largely ignored despite their significance. A case study approach was adopted in this research paper with a qualitative methodology. Data was collected from 17 key informants in 11 MHPs. A structured and in-depth interview was the primary data collection technique, used together with photos, note-taking, and sound recordings. From the interview analysis, 12 criteria were identified as most of the respondents had mentioned those criteria as success factors for MHPs. The findings also revealed 7 very important dimensions for MHP to receive high numbers of visitors which are: effective marketing and promotional strategies, maintained facilities and utilities, uniqueness and quality products/packages design, community engagement and support, collaboration and networking, leadership, and recognition, as well as previous awards. The new dimensions on homestay development identified in this study are recognition and previous awards, entrepreneurship and uniqueness of product and package design. The study outcomes signify that most of the respondents claimed that the MHP success is dictated by the quantity of tourists. This is because; the volume of tourists generates additional income to those involved in the MHP. However, there are other dimensions that should be weighed in by homestay operators to ensure that their homestays can succeed and survive for a longer period and can be contribute to SDG1 and SDG11.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of media exposure on reporting cases of alleged corruption in the sale and purchase of positions on Television on the reputation of the Ministry of Religion in Cipadu residents, Tangerang. The theory used in this research is exposure to the media and reputation. This research uses a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to respondents with explanatory analysis. The results of the study explained that Ha who stated that there was an influence between the variables of media exposure regarding the reporting of alleged cases of corruption in buying and selling positions on Television on the reputation of the Ministry of Religion on Cipadu Tangerang residents was received. Ho also pointed out that there was no influence of the media exposure variable on reporting cases of alleged corruption in the sale and purchase of positions on the reputation of the Ministry of Religion in Cipadu residents, Tangerang rejected. The magnitude of the level of the effect coefficient interval lies in the low region, so it can be concluded that the media exposure to the reputation of the Ministry of Religion has a low influence.

As typical Indonesian education institute, pesantren with all its component, tradition, culture, and uniqueness have drawn attention many expert and researchers. Pesantren existence has given great contribution to enhancement of the quality of human life. Many role have been played by pesantren; in social, political, economics, cultural aspect; and of course religious aspect which its basic study. These realities in turn have invited the attention of many circles to continuously examine, checking, or studying dynamics, growth, and also existence of pesantren. Among the study result is Mastuhu’s research: Dynamics of System of Education Pesantren, a Study about Element and Value of Pesantren Educational System. With this masterpiece, Mastuhu trying to promote the form of study pesantren which do not merely touching manifest (visible) aspect, but trying to find the values which is consisted inside that manifest; so can found positive, negative, and plus-minus items from pesantren’s education which need and needn’t to be developed in national’s education system. Through this article, the writer will express the work content from a perspective of its study approach.

Agriculture produces processed product which is perishable, so that the agricultural product should be distributed immediately. Processed product can be promoted to attract consumers to buy the product. One of the media that can be used to promote processed agricultural product is social media. Social media is needed to ease the marketing activity on the product. Social media is viral and can be delivered directly and personally to the consumer. Indicators are used to know the effectiveness of the social media as promotion media with AIDA concept. The results showed that promotion through Instagram has not been effective in the stages of attention (attention), interest (interest), desire (desire), and action (action). This study also explains that there is a relationship between the characteristics of gender followers and the level of social media exposure to the frequency of messages. In addition, there is also a relationship between the frequency of message feedback, message attractiveness, and intelligence in delivering messages with the interest stage.

Education has pivotal role in nation building and molding superb wings of human recourse. In globalized economy and the privatization the education have been transformed into rural or root level of sustainable development in all sorts of human life. Adopting a businesslike approach which emphasizes a strategic CSR is important to survival in this increasingly competitive arena. It does not appear as a surprise to see universities and colleges discover the opportunity to move the focus beyond the classrooms into their own institutional operations. Universities, colleges and schools are the centers of knowledge generation and sharing perform a very important role in addressing the Triple Bottom Line of the world’ socioeconomic and environmental issues by promoting sustainable solutions. This paper discusses the good CSR practices and some suggestions that can boost up the CSR management and make invites on education sector.

<p>Sebuah peristiwa, dalam kehidupan manusia, dapat menjadi inspirasi bagi penulisan sebuah cerita. Pengarang, sebagai bagian dari masyarakatnya, mengangkat relung-relung kehidupan manusia, ke dalam sebuah cerita. Namun harus dipahami, bahwa pengalaman pengarang dalam kehidupannya sehari-hari, juga mempengaruhi subjek yang ditulisnya. Saat ini tidak dapat dipungkiri lagi, bahwa teknologi komunikasi yang sangat canggih, telah mempengaruhi perkembangan karya sastra. Media penulisan karya sastra, tidak lagi melalui media cetak seperti kertas tetapi sudah melalui peralatan modern yang sesuai jamannya. Namun demikian ragam karya sastra prosa, seperti cerita pendek, justru mampu mengisi ruang media kommunikasi tersebut. Dua orang pengarang, yang menulis cerita pendek di media masa, berusaha mengangkat isu tentang lingkungan. Isu yang diangkat, lebih menekankan kepada masalah lingkungan alam dengan mengangkat isu tentang pohon sebagai bagian dari kehidupan manusia. Tujuan penelitian ini, untuk menelusuri struktur cerita pendek yang mengangkat isu lingkungan dalam jalinan ceritanya. Untuk memenuhi tujuan penelitian, langkah awal dari penelitian ini, adalah melakukan pendekatan struktur cerita, yang kemudian dikaitkan dengan pencarian makna cerita tersebut. Sering sekali di balik sebuah cerita ada pesan yang ingin disampaikan kepada masyarakat pembacanya. Bentuk pesan tersebut tersirat, dalam jalinan struktur cerita pendek tersebut. Pesan yang disampaikan, dalam kedua cerita pendek tersebut,  adalah pesan tentang lingkungan alam, yang  saat ini tidak pernah diperhatikan oleh masyarakat. Dengan alasan, kebutuhan ekonomi yang sangat dominan.</p><p><em>An event, in human life, can be an inspiration for writing a story. The author, as a part of his society, lifts the niches of human life, into a story. But it must be understood, that the author's experience in everyday life, also affects the subject he wrote.</em><em> </em><em>Today it is undeniable, that highly sophisticated communication technology, has influenced the development of literary works. Media writing literature, no longer through print media such as paper but have been through modern equipment that fit his era.</em><em> </em><em>However, the variety of prose literary works, such as short stories, is able to fill the media space communications. Two authors, who write short stories in the mass media, try to raise issues about the environment. Issues raised, more emphasis on the issue of the natural environment by raising the issue, about the tree as part of human life. The purpose of this research, is to trace the structure of short stories, which raised environmental issues in the composition of the story. To fulfill the purpose of research, the first step of this research, is to approach the structure of the story, which is then linked with the search for the meaning of the story. Very often, behind a story, there is a message to be conveyed to the readers. The form of the message is implied, in the composition of the short story structure. The message conveyed, in both short stories, is a message about the natural environment, which today is never noticed by society. Older adults living with forgetfulness encounter difficulties when engaging with changing and dynamic everyday technology (ET). The capability to use ET is important for independence in later life and is affected by the contextual and individual characteristics of older adults. Using the capability approach as a theoretical lens, this phenomenological study aims to explore the experiences of older adults living with forgetfulness, in order to identify contextual and individual factors that facilitate the use of ET in everyday life. A qualitative methodology was used to interview 16 community-dwelling older adults participating in memory and technology workshops at local community centres in Barcelona. Findings show that motivation and openness to learning played a facilitating role in our participants’ use of ET. The presence of social support in the form of “technology experts” and community centres offering learning opportunities were also enhancing factors that encourage independence when engaging with ET. In conclusion, our study demonstrates the importance of expanding intergenerational ET learning opportunities, through the creation of age-friendly spaces.
