The outbreak of COVID 19 has locked down entire country and created a crisis situation. It compelled all Educational Institutions to close down.  To keep teaching-learning process continuing, massive shift is being observed from physical classrooms to virtual classrooms. Language plays a key role in learning. Hence meaningful language learning is a must. Creating a conducive learning environment to teach languages effectively online, necessitates the use of virtual classroom by Language Teachers. However, it may create various challenges, unless the mindset of the teachers is positive and ready to adapt to new situations. Present study aims to find out challenges faced by the language teachers and their adaptability towards online teaching during COVID pandemic.  The researcher used descriptive survey method. The sample of the study included 51 language teachers teaching at college level in the state of Maharashtra. The sampling technique used was snowballing through known contacts.  The tool used was questionnaire. Data was analysed through descriptive and inferential statistical techniques such percentage, mean, standard deviation, graphical representation and ‘t’ test. The findings of the study revealed that there is significant difference between the challenges faced by urban and rural language teachers. But no significant difference was found among urban and rural language teachers in adaptability towards virtual classroom teaching. Though teachers tried to adapt to online teaching voluntarily, proper training in the use of e-learning platforms, apt digital tools for language development and development of new skill set are recommended to adapt to the new normal effectively.

The study was intended to find out the level of Scientific Attitude and academic achievement of B.Ed., trainees. This study involves a survey method. The size of the sample in the study was 941 B.Ed., trainees who were selected through the simple random sampling technique. The main objectives of the study are to the level of Scientific Attitude and academic achievement of B.Ed., trainees. To find out the significant difference in the Mean Scores of the level of scientific attitude and academic achievement of B.Ed., trainees with respect to the Demographic variables such as Gender, Year of Study, Subject, Locality of College. To find out whether there is any significant relationship between the Scientific Attitude and Academic Achievement of B.Ed., Trainees. The Statistical procedures used in this study were; Mean, Standard Deviation, ‘t’ test, and correlation to analyze the data. The Major findings of the study were; i) The level of Scientific Attitude and academic achievement of B.Ed., trainees is above average. ii) Female B.Ed., Trainees are a significantly higher level of Scientific Attitude and Academic Achievement than the Male B.Ed., Trainees. iii) Second-year B.Ed., Trainees are a significantly higher level of Scientific Attitude and Academic Achievement than the First-year B.Ed., Trainees. iv) The B.Ed., Trainees of Language Subject is significantly Higher Scientific Attitude than the Science Subject and Arts Subject. At the same time, the Science Subject is significantly having a higher level of Scientific Attitude than the Arts Subject. v) Urban B.Ed., Trainees are significantly higher levels of Scientific Attitude than the Rural B.Ed., Trainees. vi) There is a significant indifferent or negligible positive relationship between the Scientific Attitude and Academic Achievement. It's my conclusion that the present study reveals that there is several B.Ed., trainees who are having an above-average of the scientific attitude. However, the Academic Achievement of B.Ed., trainees are quite high.


Present study attempted to explore presence of social skills among hearing impaired students taking education from government special education schools and to compare different level of social skills based on different demographic variables. It is a descriptive study in nature and survey method is used to collect the data. Population of study is hearing impaired children living in division Faisalabad and Lahore. Sample of N=200 hearing impaired students are selected through convenient sampling technique. Responses of social skills are taken from mothers as mothers have better knowledge of proficiencies of their hearing impaired children’s social skills. Children’s age group was 05-20 years. Age range of mothers was 25-55 years. Social skills checklist was used to as tool of the study for collection of data. It is a mixed method approach and statistical measures were made via frequency distribution, t-test and ANOVA. Results of current study clearly depicted that 82% hearing impaired students have low level of social skills and 18% hearing impaired students have best level of social skills. Current study also find out that there is significant difference in social skills of students on the basis of living area and children age and there is no significant difference in presence of social skills in hearing impaired students based on mother’s working status (house wife and job holders) and mothers education level. Study also demonstrated that there was positive correlation among presence of social skills in hearing impaired students and their age. The study concluded that teachers should focus on individual differences while teaching social skills to hearing impaired children and should adopt different teaching methods and teaching strategies for every student. It was also recommended that job holder mothers should manage their time table and must spare their proper time for their special children to make them beneficial and socially adjusted child of community.

The purpose of the present study is to investigate the relationship between achievement motivation and parental encouragement of adolescent girls in district Anantnag. The study was descriptive-correlational in nature and the data were collected using achievement motivation scale and parental encouragement scale through survey method. The sample of the study was 200 adolescent girls selected through random sampling technique. A significant positive relationship was found between achievement motivation and parental encouragement of adolescent girls. The study revealed significant difference on achievement motivation and parental encouragement among private and government adolescent girls in district Anantnag. Private school adolescent girls have higher achievement motivation and parental encouragement as compared to government school adolescent girls.

Job satisfaction acts as a powerful force that gives happiness and increase ones efficiency to work effectively. Job satisfaction of the teachers, who have an important place in the information society, will affect the quality of the service they render. Job satisfaction and the teaching effectiveness of teachers are directly related. The more the teacher is effective in his teaching the more he/she is satisfied in his/her job. Teachers are said to be the builders of nation. If the teachers are satisfied in their jobs and have effective teaching, than it directly leads to the beneficiary for the students, which help in their teaching learning process. Descriptive survey method was used by the investigator on a sample of 150 teachers, 100 BTC Teachers and 50 Special BTC Teachers selected by Purposive Sampling technique in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh. Standardized Job Satisfaction Scale by Dr. Meera and Teaching Effectiveness Scale by Dr. Umme Kulsum were used by the investigator. The findings revealed that the job satisfaction and Teaching Effectiveness of teachers was high .They are satisfied with their jobs. There occur no significant difference in job satisfaction and Teaching Effectiveness among the said teachers on the basis of their gender and qualification.

Teachers have a pivotal role in our education system. However, inefficiency in teachers can affect the very foundation of this education system and which in turn will lead to the downfall of society and the nation. It is well said that the quality of education depends on the quality of teachers, so it is essential to prepare a quality teacher. As the teacher acts as transmitter of knowledge, motivator, and manager so it is dire need to train the prospective teacher in Life skills.  According to WHO life skills have been defined as “the abilities for adaptive and positive behaviour that enables individuals to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life”. The  present study include ten Life skills as suggested by WHO i.e. Self-awareness skill, Interpersonal skill, Effective Communication skill, Problem Solving, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking, Coping with Stress, Coping with Emotion, and Empathy. A descriptive survey method is used for this study. The data of 100 pre-service teachers in which 40 female and 60 male pre-service teachers, were collected by random cluster sampling technique from two B.Ed. colleges of Ghaziabad affiliated to C.C.S. University Meerut in Ghaziabad district. Moreover, t-test is used as a statistical technique to compare the life skills between male and female pre-service teachers. However, the investigator found no significant difference between the male and female pre-service teachers in their Life Skills.

The study is aimed to identify the relationship between gender and race with needs motivation in academic performance for secondary school students. A survey method through questionnaire was used to collect motivation score and demographic of samples. A total of 400 form 3 students from five different secondary schools in Skudai, Johor were selected as respondents using a stratified random sampling technique. The David McClelland Motives questionnaire was used as a research instrument, in which it covers three main domains of motivation, namely needs of achievement, needs of affiliation, and needs of power. Inferential T-test and Pearson correlation were used to test the hypotheses. The T-test analysis stated that there was no significant difference between gender and race with motivation scores. Pearson correlation analysis showed that there was a weak significant positive relationship between motivation score and student's academic performance mean score. In a conclusion, need motivation has an influence on students’ academic performance. Teachers should assimilate a variety of teaching styles and encourage students from time to time to motivate them to strive for excellence.

The role of teacher is proficient, be composed of academic, didactic and social roles. Academic roles cover teaching, instructing and supervisory characters and pedagogical characters include instructional, valuation and simplifying roles. The study aimed to identify the teaching competency of secondary school teachers. The investigator adopted survey method to study the teaching competency between teachers from selected government, private and aided school. For this study a sample of 300 school teachers from eight various schools which are situated in Palakkad district selected by the investigator using simple random sampling technique. The findings revealed that there is no significant difference towards teaching competency among selected secondary school teachers with respect to personal variables like Gender, Marital Status, Educational Qualification, Type of Management and Teaching experience. The findings of the study help to discover the teaching competency of secondary school teachers in the society.

The research is aimed at assessing the important role of TVET on job creation and sustainable development of Nigerian economy. Two research questions were answered using mean and standard deviation statistics, while two hypotheses were tested using t-test statistic. A survey method was employed for the research. A four-point scale questionnaire was employed as the instrument for collection of data. The population consists of 332 TVET lecturers in 3 universities and 4 colleges of education in Edo and Delta States. There was no need to adopt sampling technique, nor select any sample size, since the entire population is of a manageable size. The instrument was validated by two experts and its reliability coefficient value using Cronbach alpha method was 0.81. The research revealed that TVET can equip students with skills for job creation and sustainable development of Nigerian economy. It also revealed that there was no significant difference between the mean ratings of TVET lecturers in Edo and Delta States on the extent to which TVET can equip students with skills for job creation. It further revealed that there was no significant difference between the mean ratings of male and female TVET lecturers on the extent to which TVET can equip students with skills for sustainable development of Nigerian economy. Optimizing sufficient amount of financial resources, regular supplies of state-of-the-art facilities, sourcing for qualified manpower, and organization of advocacy programme, that would help in effective management delivery of TVET were further recommended. The purpose was to investigate the Arabic language teachers' perspectives on online VC effectiveness during and beyond COVID-19.  Participants were 340 teachers. This study employed cross-sectional descriptive method, with the main focus on Arabic Language teachers' perspectives on online VC effectiveness during and beyond COVID-19. Findings from descriptive analysis of the teachers’ responses on the importance of using virtual classrooms in distance education program shoed that the rank agree comes first, where teachers responded with agree in 17 items, 2 with strongly agree and only one item for disagree.  Using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), findings showed that there were no statistically significant differences between the responses of the study sample towards the use of virtual classrooms by gender, while academic qualification and years of experience contributed significantly, where those with higher qualification, and who are experts had positive perspectives   on online VCs effectiveness during and beyond COVID-19. In this study the investigator made an attempt to find out the awareness about Clean India Programme of prospective teachers in Tirunelveli District with respect to their gender, locality, type of family, type of college, religion, age, parental income.  Survey method was adopted for the study. Using simple random sampling technique the investigators selected a sample of 60 prospective teachers as sample foe analysis. The findings revealed that the prospective teachers did not differ in their awareness about clean India programme with respect to the gender, location of the college, type of the family, type of the college, religion, age and parental income. Thus we conclude that the prospective teachers in Tirunelveli district have no significant difference in their awareness about Clean India programme.  The level of awareness about Clean India Programme was at moderate level.
