In this research, the challenges of using human capital and the effectiveness of social capital as an alternative resource used by immigrant women from non-English-speaking countries living in Central Alberta for them to attain economic security are studied. Evidence indicates heavy use of bonding social capital by immigrant women—primarily through family, ethnic, and religious networks—as a “survival” resource at the initial stage of settlement. The bonding social capital is relatively easy to access; nevertheless, in the case of visible minority immigrant women living in Central Alberta, bonding social capital has limited capacity in helping them to obtain economic security because their family and friends themselves often lack economic resources. As a result, these immigrant women are expected to compete in the labor market using their human capital to obtain higher-paying jobs. The challenge among immigrant women remains in seeking recognition of non-Canadian credentials, and/or successful acquisition and deployment of Canadian credentials in the primary labor market.

This paper examines how the partnership was established between the Sleman Government and the peasant group of Tri Tunggal in Wonorejo—a policy appropriate partnership. It is known that the perceived policy sometimes turns things around with what is in the field or the right target regulations according to the needs of the community. This article is based on two theories, top-down policies and social capital as a form of organizing peasant groups. In answering the question, in fact, this article is an extension of the design of a qualitative research model that describes, analyzes, and interprets field data in a narrative way. For that, the method of interviewing, observation, and documentation is chosen to complete the data until it can be interpreted into the new meaning of science. Thus, this research has produced some interesting findings, such as government partnership to peasant group of Tri Tunggal with the approach of counseling, mentoring, and marketing of the agricultural product. As a matter of fact, the regulation is a reference for the government in empowering peasant groups.[Tulisan ini mengkaji tentang bagaimana kemitraan yang dibangun antara Pemerintah Sleman dengan Kelompok Tani Tri Tunggal Wonorejo—kemitraan yang sesuai dengan kebijakan.

HL-LHC will confront the WLCG community with enormous data storage, management and access challenges. These are as much technical as economical. In the WLCG-DOMA Access working group, members of the experiments and site managers have explored different models for data access and storage strategies to reduce cost and complexity, taking into account the boundary conditions given by our community.Several of these scenarios have been evaluated quantitatively, such as the Data Lake model and incremental improvements of the current computing model with respect to resource needs, costs and operational complexity. To better understand these models in depth, analysis of traces of current data accesses and simulations of the impact of new concepts have been carried out. In parallel, evaluations of the required technologies took place. These were done in testbed and production environments at small and large scale. We will give an overview of the activities and results of the working group, describe the models and summarise the results of the technology evaluation focusing on the impact of storage consolidation in the form of Data Lakes, where the use of streaming caches has emerged as a successful approach to reduce the impact of latency and bandwidth limitation. We will describe the experience and evaluation of these approaches in different environments and usage scenarios. In addition we will present the results of the analysis and modelling efforts based on data access traces of the experiments.

The transition of agricultural production on industrial basis, the emergence of new techniques, technologies, organizational innovations are defined by quantitative and qualitative composition of the economic resources that would meet the modern conditions of activity of the agricultural sector. Purpose. The research aims to identify trends in the structure of the economic resources and their availability in the agricultural sector of Ukraine. Method (methodology). In the process of research the following methods have been used: monographic method; method of critical analysis; method of structural and trend analysis. Results. The structure of assets of agriculture of Ukraine is estimated. We have established the trends in the proportion of assets of agriculture in the structure of the assets of all sectors of the economy and their cost. The dynamics of changes in the ratio of fixed and current assets of agricultural enterprises of Ukraine is analysed. The analysis of non-current assets of agricultural enterprises is considered. It has been determined the dynamics of change in value of fixed assets. The features of reproductive processes in the agricultural sector are formed. The obtained results should be applied at the rationalization of administrative decisions in the field of financial management by managers and specialists of agricultural industry.

Rice commodity in Aikmel sub-district is one of the main commodities with an area of 9,392 Ha of lowland rice farming and geographically. Non-agricultural activities in rural areas began to develop in response to insufficient income from the agricultural sector. Many rural residents engage in non-agricultural activities when the agricultural sector is free. This is what causes a large number of residents to work from the non-agricultural sector, related to employment and income opportunities. Seeing this condition, it is felt that research needs to be done. This study aims to look at the income of paddy rice farming, non-farming and the relationship between lowland rice farming income and non-farming income on various land areas. The method in this study, namely descriptive, data collection by survey technique, determining the number of samples were 30 people was carried out by quota sampling and taking farmers in each village was carried out by proportional random sampling and determination of villages as samples was carried out by purposive sampling. The Results of the study explain: 1) the average total income of lowland rice farming farmers is Rp. 1.207.412/LLG or equivalent to Rp. 5.219.359/Ha. 2) In this study, farmers receive an average non-farming income of rice farmers of Rp. 8,000,000.- planting season 3). Relationship analysis relationship obtained correlation coefficient value of 0,3786 Because it has a positive result with a correlation coefficient value of 0,3786, the larger the land area, the greater the contribution of agricultural sector income to total non-agricultural income.

This paper describes how the social capital of rice farmers of the Mekong Delta of Vietnam, as manifested in the tradition of collective farming practice, has changed. Collective rice farming persisted for decades, irrespective of critical events that challenged its continuation, due to two key factors: the high need for collective farming to ensure subsistence, and the availability of a closely knit social network that facilitated the exchange of labor. Despite its longevity, the practice of collective farming, particularly in terms of labor exchange and mutual aid in farming activities, has not been maintained under current agrarian reforms. Land reform, increased mechanization, and shortened crop cycles leading to labor shortages have all resulted in individualized rice farming, making mobilization for spontaneous collective action at the community level challenging.
