This research is entitled as "Anecdotal Text in the Oral Story of Yong Dollah Inheritance of Malays as Alternative Choice for Indonesian Language Teaching Materials". It is inspired by the collection of Yong Dollah stories as the inheritance of Malays in Bengkalis Regency which contain of humor elements. In addition, the stories have the same characteristics with anecdotal text, so that it can be applied as teaching material for Indonesia Language subject in the school. This research method was content analysis of descriptive approach. This research was conducted during six months. The technique used to collect data were documentation and interview. The data of this study were the entire generic structure and language features of anecdotal texts contained in a collection of Yong Dollah stories which consisted of 11 stories. The result showed that as following. First, there are five texts contain of complete generic structures and six texts contain of incomplete generic structure which is coda part for data 2, 3, 5, 8, and 1. Second, about language features, there are four data contains of all language features of Anecdote text, but on the other side, there are seven incomplete language features in the texts. Third, the consideration of choosing Yong Dollah as alternative material for Indonesia Language subject refers to eight indicators that are conveyed based on teachers’ perception toward Anecdote text Yong Dolla. 55 % of number of teachers claim that these texts suitable to be implemented as teaching material, but 44% of them claim neutral, and 1% claim disagree on it.

Transferring meaning embedded by English idiom is not an easy way to do. The meaning contained by English Idiom cannot be comprehended by merely knowing the meaning from each word arranging the idiom. Dealing with English idiom in translation is quite hard because the translator has to transfer the meaning of English idiom into Bahasa Indonesia rightly. On the other hand, it is quite difficult to find the equivalence term in Bahasa Indonesia reflecting the same meaning as it is reflected in the source text. To manage this problem, the translation strategies need to be applied. This research focuses on analyzing the translation strategies used by the translator in transferring the meaning of English idioms into Bahasa Indonesia in the subtitle of  Pitch Perfect 3 Movie. The research method is descriptive qualitative method.. Baker’s translation strategies is used as guideline in classifying the translation strategies used. After finding the type of translation strategies employed, further identifying whether the meaning of English idiom is transferred rightly in Bahasa Indonesia. According to the finding, translation by using idiom in similar meaning and disimilar form was not used by the translator to translate the idioms. The frequency of  translation by using idiom in similar meaning but disimilar form strategy is 4 idioms. 46 idioms were translated by using paraphrased strategy. It is only 1 idiom was translated by using omission strategy. that the meaning of 36 idioms are transferred accurately. The meaning of four idioms were transferred Less-accurately. The meaning of 11 idioms were classified as inaccurate translation

Virtual communities are very impressive in the activities associated with the business using facilities provided on the Web and broad access to consumers. More access to users also helps virtual communities to be leading in attracting more users in competition with the other virtual communities. In this regard, providing the model of consumers' participation in virtual communities can be effective in the competitive environment from the cognitive aspects of consumer behavior. The aim of this study is to design consumers' participation model in virtual communities. The mixed method is selected as the research method and in the qualitative section, semi-structured interviews were conducted among the panel of experts; after analyzing the results using the content analysis, the designed model was finally tested. The results showed that in addition to personal and social factors and the services offered by the website, the other factors such as attitudes and we-intentions have also significant impact on the consumers' participation.

Implementation of services, especially in education and training services has not run optimally. Especially if the training is held in two different locations, Bandung and Cisolok. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of education and training services in Diklat Teknis Pelaksana I (TP I) in 2018 held in Bandung and Cisolok, Sukabumi. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach based on the author's observations as one of the instructors in the training and analysis of the results of the evaluation of the training implementation and an interview. The informant is the one of the training officer that involved at Diklat TP I. The expected results of the study are recommendations for better implementation of Diklat TP I in the future and the implementation of education and training in the PPSDMA in general. The other expected results of this study is to be a reference for the implementation of training that is more optimal in accordance with the services applicable in PPSDMA. ABSTRAKImplementasi pelayanan, khususnya pada pelayanan diklat belum berjalan secara optimal. Terlebih jika penyelenggaraan diklat dilaksanakan didua lokasi yang berbeda Bandung dan Cisolok. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisa implementasi pelayanan diklat pada Diklat Teknis Pelaksana I (TP I) pada 2018 di Bandung dan Cisolok, Sukabumi. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif berdasarkan pengamatan penulis sebagai salah satu pengajar pada diklat tersebut dan analisis data hasil evaluasi penyelenggaraan diklat serta wawancara. Informan penelitian adalah salah satu petugas di bidang penyelenggaraan diklat yang terlibat pada Diklat TP I. Hasil yang diharapkan dari penelitian ini adalah rekomendasi untuk pelaksanaan Diklat TP I yang lebih baik di masa depan dan penyelenggaraan diklat di PPSDMA secara umum. Hasil lain yang diharapkan adalah penelitian ini bisa menjadi referensi untuk pelaksanaan pelatihan yang lebih optimal sesuai dengan pelayanan yang berlaku di PPSDMA.

China and India are rising powers of Asia. Both Asian giants have to adopt the policy of interdependence by growing economic ties; on the other side, they have a strict stance on border disputes. This article describes in detail the bilateral relationship between China-India, especially under the Modi doctrine, during his first term. Secondly, it also discusses the limitation of these growing ties and growing concerns for Pakistan. The basic argument of this article is that the growing economic interdependence will affect Pakistan, especially if this interdependence transfer from the economic to military dimension. The whole data is based on exploratory in nature. A qualitative research method has been used to achieve the research goals. Tools used for data collection include oral interviews and content analysis of the existing literature on the subject in the form of books, official reports and research articles. The relevant literature has been objectively analyzed to reach a meaningful conclusion.

Negative perceptions toward Islam are increasing because of the emergence of various issues in intolerance. On the other hand, an Islamic novel entitled Bumi Cintais full of virtuous capturing from the representation of the main character. Therefore, this study aims to find out the religious values and Islamic representations. The research method is inferential content analysis with the data obtained from the novel. The data procurement includes sampling and determination of the unit then validity of data is done by discussing them to the experts. The technique to analyze the data is classification, making meaning, and inference. Findings of this study are the spirit of seeking knowledge, honesty, discipline in worship, carry out all the religions commands, never surrender when getting problems, patient when facing temptations, stay away from haramfoods, sincere in giving aids, establishing fraternal relations with friends across religions and appeal to do good things. Therefore, from the whole analysis, it can be stated that Islam is a peaceful and tolerance religion that drove its adherents to become good people.

This study aims to examine postcolonialism in Candra Malik's novel Layla. Postcolonialism is meant by forms of hybridity, mimicry and ambivalence. In addition, this study will also link the relevance of postcolonialism in Layla with Indonesian language learning in high school. This study used descriptive qualitative method. This method is used to describe and explain forms of hybridity, mimicry, and ambivalence in Candra Malik's Layla and its relevance to Indonesian language learning in high school. The strategy used is content analysis. The results showed that there were forms of hybridity in the form of social status, education, marriage and food. The forms of mimicry include marriage, language, clothing, lifestyle, names and buildings. The form of ambivalence is in the form of work, education and household. Postcolonialism in Layla has relevance to Indonesian language learning in high school. The results of the postcolonial study of Layla can be used as teaching material on the basic competence of analyzing the language of a story or historical novel in XII grade. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji poskolonialisme dalam novel Layla karya Candra Malik. Poskolonialisme yang dimaksud adalah bentuk-bentuk hibriditas, mimikri, dan ambivalensi. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga akan mengaitkan relevansi poskolonialisme dalam novel Layla dengan pemelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Metode tersebut digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan bentuk-bentuk hibriditas, mimikri, dan ambivalensi dalam novel Layla dan relevansinya dengan pemelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMA. Strategi yang digunakan adalah analisis konten/isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat bentuk hibriditas berupa status sosial, pendidikan, pernikahan, dan makanan. Bentuk mimikri berupa pernikahan, bahasa, pakaian, gaya hidup, nama, dan bangunan. Bentuk ambivalensi berupa pekerjaan, pendidikan, dan rumah tangga. Poskolonialisme dalam novel Layla memiliki relevansi dengan pemelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMA. Hasil kajian poskolonial novel Layla ini dapat dijadikan bahan ajar untuk menganalisis secara kebahasaan cerita atau novel sejarah di kelas XII.

AbstractCigulu-cigulu is a form of a riddle game. A question or a statement was delivered and then the other person or the interlocuters must find the appropiate answer or the respond for the said question or statement. Cigulu-cigulu is the abbreviated form of "cigi kong gulung-gulung in Manado Malay (BMM), If translated to Bahasa Indonesia it means "tarik lalu digulung" (pull then roll). The research method used to find connotative meanings in cigulu-cigulu is a qualitative descriptive method with the intention of understanding phenomena experienced by informants such as behavior, perception, motivation, etc. by means of descriptions in the form of words and language in a specific context that is natural and by utilizing natural methods. The results showed that in cigulu-cigulu found connotative meaning both positive and negative. Positive when statements / questions are submitted or answers to statements / statements; vice versa. Generally cigulu-cigulu associated with food. The food in question is typical or traditional food from Manado. Semantically this is motivated because Manado have varieties of delicious food. Manadonese people are also known to likely state everything directly, not ashamed to express something "taboo" which for some other communities / cultures are considered uncultured or even forbidden to say.Keywords: cigulu-cigulu, BMM, connotative meaning

<p><em>This is descriptive qualitative research using stylistic analysis to describe the existence of language style, diction, image, educational values of the character, and the relevance of the lyrics of Fourtwnty album Lelaku as a teaching material for Indonesian language learning at high school. Data collection techniques use content analysis and interviews. Validity test of data using medhod triangulation techniques and theory. The results of this study indicate</em></p><em>the language style dominated by sinpoke, repetition epizeuksis, and symbolic able to create aesthetic effects, typical, and affirmation; (2) diction is dominated by connotative and typical greetings and names that can create beauty and uniqueness; (3) the image  is  dominated by  vision capable of generating the image  of  the  reader; (4) the  values  of  character  education  are dominated by religious values, communicative, hard work, and  peaceful  love  that  is expected to shape the character of the reader; and (5) The lyrics of Fourtwnty's album Lelaku can be used and developed as learning materials of class X Indonesian language especially poetry appreciation material on basic competence 3.8 and 4.8.</em>

<p align="center"><strong>ABSTRACT</strong></p><p>This research is aimed at finding the procedures and method of three bilingual storybooks. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with content analysis. Based on the theory of Newmark about translation method and procedures, it is found that the frequently used procedures are literal, modulation, shift, addition and reduction. The translation on the first book indicated that the translator uses shift modulation, couplet, cultural equivalent, addition. In the second book, the procedures used are literal, addition, modulation, reduction, transference, expansion and couplet. Whilst, in the third book, there couplet, literal, addition, reduction, modulation, cultural equivalent, shift, synonymy, expansion procedures are found. On the other hand, the most dominant procedure used is literal and the translation method used is semantic translation.  The method shows the translation orientation of the translators.</p><p>Keywords: <em>Translation procedures, translation method, Newmark, bilingual storybooks</em></p>

Kemampuan peserta didik dalam materi surat resmi sangat rendah sehingga perlu suatu model pembelajaran yang sesuai untuk mengingkatkan kemampuan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia materi surat resmi dengan model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) pada peserta didik kelas VI semester 2 SD Negeri 5 Manggar. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan metode analisis data kuantitatif dan deskriptif. Hasil analisis data kuntitatif, yaitu ketuntasan peserta didik secara klasikal pada kegiatan prasiklus 25%, siklus 1 41,7%, dan siklus 2 91,7%. Sedangkan analisis deskriptif terdapat peningkatan aktivitas positif peserta didik, yaitu bersemangat dan aktif mengikuti proses pembelajaran pada prasiklus 33,3%, siklus 1 75%, dan siklus 2 100%. Senang bertanya kepada guru atupun teman tentang materi yang sedang dipelajari pada prasiklus 25%, siklus 1 58,3%, dan siklus 2 83,3%. Menanggapi pertanyaan guru dengan baik pada prasiklus 25%, siklus 1 50%, dan siklus 2 91,7%. Student's competency in writing the formal letters was very low, so it's necessary to create a learning model that is able to increase the competency. The research aims to increase the learning result in Bahasa Indonesia subject on formal letter material by using cooperative integrated reading and composition to sixth-grade students of SD Negeri 5 Manggar in the second-semester academic year. The action research is chosen as a research method by quantitative and descriptive data analysis Through quantitative analysis result shown students' classical passing grade in the pra cycle is 25% than in the first cycle is 41.7 % and in the second cycle 91.7%. On the other hand, the result of descriptive analysis showed that there were some positive achievements in students' activities such as the level of curiosity and their involvement in the learning process. The achievement can be shown by the improvement of percentage in every cycle like 33.3 % in the pra cycle, 75% in the first cycle, and 100% in the second cycle. The study also impacts the increase of student's asking behavior, in the pra cycle 25%, the first cycle 58.3%, and the second cycle 83.3%. The student's responses to the teacher's questions increases from 25% in the pra cycle to 50% in the first cycle and 91.7% in the second cycle.
