English language skills are also often used as a requirement when they want to continue to a higher education level. However, it cannot be denied that the limited understanding of English vocabulary results in obstruction of language competence achievement. Therefore, this activity is a form of service to the community, especially as a form of implementation of the Tri Dharma obligations of higher education, which aims to help students at the Puri Kasih Tembilahan Orphanage to master English vocabulary quickly. The method used is Training of easy tricks to master English vocabulary through interactive activities. In this Community Service activity, several activities are carried out, namely: words puzzle, words matching, pictures, games, and watching short movies. The results of this Community Service activity showed that the participants gave a positive responses to this activity. They are also more courageous and motivated to use the vocabulary they have by participating in every activity they do. Furthermore, the initial test results showed 8.3% of participants in the Very Good category, 12.5% of participants in the Good category, 41.7% of participants in the Enough category, and 37.5% of participants in the Low category. Then, the final test results showed that 16.7% of participants were at the Very Good level, 25% of participants were at the Good level, 45.9% of participants were at the Enough level, and only 12.5% were at the Low level. This shows that interactive activities can help students at the Puri Kasih Tembilahan Orphanage more easily master English vocabulary.

This study aims to train English language skills for Akparta students to be proficient in English. The research methods used include presentations, lectures, observations and discussions. The results showed that the level of English mastery of the Surakarta Akparta students had progressed in speaking English. Community service activities carried out at Akparta Surakarta are helpful for students to improve their English language competence so that students can become professional tourism workers

One of the requirements to pass the lecturer certification exam is to attach a TOEFL score. TOEFL itself is an abbreviation of Test of English as a Foreign Language which is used to measure how far a person's English ability is. In the various findings and field observations made, almost all lecturers who will carry out the 2019 TMT lecturer certification at the Ambon State Polytechnic have the same difficulties when they want to face the TOEFL test. Therefore, the Ambon State Polytechnic Community Service Team took the initiative to conduct TOEFL training activities for TMT 2019 lecturers so that they could overcome their difficulties on the TOEFL test by using modules compiled by the team. The results of this service activity show that the English language skills possessed by the lecturers have increased after the training. This can be seen from their pre-test and post-test scores. It is hoped that after going through this activity, they can test their abilities by carrying out the TOEFL test and can penetrate lecturer certification.

In addition to studying in formal schools, children can also study in non-formal schools, such as taking courses to understand a lesson. However, to be able to take the course certainly costs a lot. The symptoms found were that some students came from underprivileged families. Found it difficult to divide their study time with their busy lives at the orphanage, lacked interest in learning English, and did not have English language manuals other than textbooks from school. This service activity aims to improve students' English through courses at the Dayang Dermah Bengkalis Orphanage. The method used in this service activity is through fun courses in games, singing, and short conversations. The result of this service is that students' English skills have increased with this course, as evidenced by the increase in students' average English scores from 78 on the initial test to 87 on the final test. It can be concluded that using the course method is an effective way to Improving Students' English at Dayang Dermah Bengkalis Orphanage

Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memenuhi kewajiban dosen untuk melakukan tridharma perguruan tinggi. Dan juga bertujuan Karang Taruna Kampung serua poncol dapat menjalankan fungsi dan perannya secara optimal sehingga mendatangkan manfaat bagi Kampung serua poncol. As teachers of English as a second language (L2) in web communication, our aim is to help L2 students improve their spoken and written English language skills. Teacher feedback has been shown to do this in some cases. However, only using teacher feedback can put huge pressure on the teacher, both in terms of time and resources. This paper describes and discusses our attempt at introducing peer feedback as an additional way of providing students with feedback on their English writing. Before conducting this study, we did not know if peer feedback would be feasible in our teaching environment or whether it would benefit the students and teachers. Our aim was to establish a status quo of our students’ abilities in providing and implementing peer feedback. We introduced peer-feedback tasks and focused on the types of feedback provided by the students, the phrasing of the feedback, both when implemented and not implemented by the students, and the types of revisions made by the students. Our findings allowed us to develop peer-feedback process guidelines for web communication as a way towards improving written feedback processes in higher education, and hopefully for others to adapt and implement in their own communication classrooms.

One of the great traditions in Islamic education institutions in Indonesia is teaching by transmitting Islamic values as found in classical books written centuries ago. The majority in Indonesia, the classic book is better known as the Kitab Kuning. Teaching with the Kitab Kuning is usually done in Islamic Boarding Schools. Examining Kitab Kuning requires qualified Arabic language skills at least passively. Unfortunately, not all Islamic boarding schools that have a variety of superior programs in certain fields, are weak in the field of studying Kitab Kuning. One of them is the Islamic Boarding School Mu'allimin Muhammadiyyah Sawah Dangka which has the flagship Tahfizh Alquran program but is weak in the study of Kitab Kuning. One of the main factors is the lack of adequate quality of human resources. For this reason, this community service activity aims to provide training while introducing new, lightweight methods in learning Arabic, namely the Bihaqatil Jumal method. This method emphasizes learning Arabic using the right brain. After a series of community service activities, teachers and Islamic boarding schools felt helped and gained new experiences in learning Arabic methods to study Kitab Kuning. In addition, both the assisted object and the resource person requested that this kind of community service be continued.

This article will describe learning to write auotobiografi text using Contextual Teaching and Learning approach. The method used in the research, namely the experiment with the design of One-Group Pretest-Postest. Technique of collecting data in the form of test, observation, and questionnaire. The population in the study of students of class XI SMK Nurul Islam Cianjur, with a sample of 22 students. From the results of the study known the average value of the initial test 60.45 and the average value of the final test 80.91. The result of calculation with t-test known value that is 11,41 and value for t.s 0,05 value t = 1,72 and for t.s 0,01 value t = 2.51. Thus, there is a significant difference between students' ability in learning to write autobiographic text before and after using Contextual Teaching and Learning approach. The difference seen in the final test results is higher than the initial test results. The use of Contextual Teaching and Learning approach also get positive response for students, this can be proved by the percentage of student answers for positive response is greater than negative response, that is 30% of students who choose strongly agree (SS)> 4% of students who choose strongly disagree (STS).Keywords: autobiographic text, contextual

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the dictogloss method in teaching listening to students' listening skills. This research was designed as a quasi-experimental. This study aims to investigate whether a material or treatment yields a different outcome for participants. There are two classes in this study, namely the experimental class (which is a sample to be treated with the dictogloss method) and the control class (using a method other than dictogloss). The results of this study are the results of data analysis showing that the results of learning skills in listening to the experimental group obtained the average value for the initial test of 60.33 and 71 for the final test score. While the control group using conventional methods has a mean value for the initial test of 60.1 and 70 for the final test. T test results also indicate that the significance value is 0,000. The significance value states smaller 0.05, it can be stated that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, which means that there is an influence of the dictogloss method in improving listening skills in students

 Abstrak  Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini merupakan kegiatan lanjutan dari program sebelumnya, dimana dilakukan pelatihan terkait penerapan teknologi dalam pembelajaran bahasa atau disingkat TELL (Technology in Language Learning). Seiring berkembangnya lembaga-lembaga kursus yang jumlahnya semakin banyak, terutama di wilayah Bangkalan. Banyak siswa-siswi mulai dari tingkat sekolah dasar sampai menengah atas mendaftar dan mengikuti program-program yang ditawarkan oleh lembaga kursus. Tren inilah yang menjadi dasar terpilihnya lembaga kursus sebagai tempat melakukan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Penerapan audiobook lit2go di lembaga kursus  Bahasa Inggris ini dilakukan oleh para tutor di lembaga kursus E-Home untuk membantu proses pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan teknologi pembelajaran, yang nantinya diharapkan bisa meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah meningkatnya kemampuan pengajar Bahasa Inggris di lembaga kursus dalam menggunakan teknologi saat pembelajaran, dalam hal ini penggunaan audiobook lit2go.  Kata kunci: Audiobook Lit2go, Tell, Pembelajaran, Teknologi   Abstract    This community service activity is a continuation of the previous program, where training is carried out related to the application of technology in language learning called TELL (Technology in Language Learning). As the number of course institutions grows, especially in the Bangkalan region. Many students ranging from elementary to high school level register and participate in programs offered by institute courses. This trend is the basis for the selection of course institutions as a place to do community service. The application of lit2go audiobook at English language course institutions is carried out by tutors at E-Home course institutions to assist the learning process by utilizing learning technology, which in turn is expected to improve student learning outcomes. At present, the English language is being taught by adapting world standards of Common European Framework Reference (CEFR) for teaching foreign languages to our national educational system. According to the Uzbek national standard the knowledge of the foreign language competence from the first to fourth grade is defined as A 1- for the beginner level. This article will disclose the formation and development of primary school learners’ foreign language skills through communicative competence.
