The aim of this research is to describe the students ‘difficulty in writing hortatory exposition text at the eleven grade of SMA N 10 Jambi, which focus focusing on text organization (thesis, arguments, and recommendation). Design of this research is descriptive qualitative. Pre-research were done by doing interview. The data are collected by documentation (students assignment by documentation (students’ assignment made hortatory exposition text) and used quasi-statistical as the analysis method. As the result, thesis is the very most difficult part in making hortatory exposition text because twenty-one students (49%) from the overall forty-three students are unable to make thesis statement in their text. Meanwhile, the connectivity between the text organization is the most difficult in making this text because about twenty-nine (67%) from forty-three students are unable to make supporting arguments to thesis statement in their hortatory exposition text and they unable to make connectivity between recommendation and thesis statement. It means the supporting point of arguments to thesis statement is the most difficult component in arguments part and for recommendation part is in the level of recommendation connectivity with thesis statement. On the other hand most of the students proved having difficulty in text organization in making hortatory exposition text.

This study discusses about language use occurred by male and female host in Hitam Putih talk show. The method of this research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this study are male and female host in Hitam Putih talk show. The data are the utterances produced by male and female host in Hitam Putih talk show. This research focuses on the show broadcasted on October 2016 by taking 4 videos randomly. The objective of this study is to describe kinds of the language use uttered by male and female host in Hitam Putih talk show. The findings showed that the kinds of language use consist of 6 parts. The dominant language use uttered by male host is expletive, because male’s utterances are frequently stated in a negative connotation. On the other hand, female host utterances are found in specialized vocabulary as the most dominant because female host has more interest in talking family affairs, such as the education of children, clothes, cooking, and fashion, etc. Women also tended to talk about one thing related to the home and domestic activities. However, the representation of language use uttered by male and female are deficit, dominance and different. Keywords: Language Use, Gender, Talk Show

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji perbandingan kepercayaan masyarakat Talagadi Majalengka dan masyarakat Nagoya di Jepang. Kepercayaan yang dimaksud dalampenelitian ini adalah kepercayaan yang berhubungan dengan tabu atau pamali dankepercayaan yang berhubungan dengan keberuntungan pada kedua masyarakat tersebut.Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut digunakan metode deskripstif kualitatif. Dalam memupudata digunakan metode lapangan karena peneliti terjun langsung ke masyarakat. Disamping itu, digunakan pula metode survey melalui penyebaran daftar kuesioner. Hasilpenelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk kepercayaan yang berhubungan dengan tabu ataupamali pada masyarakat Talaga dan Nagoya meliputi kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh manusia.Adapun kepercayaan yang berhubungan dengan keberuntungan pada kedua masyarakattersebut berkaitan dengan binatang, benda, dan kegiatan manusia. Sampai saat ini baikmasyarakat Talaga maupun Nagoya masih memegang teguh kepercayaan tersebut.Kata kunci: kepercayaan, Talaga, Nagoya, deskriptif kualitatif, komparasi budaya.AbstractThe aim of this research is to review the comparison of belief between the society ofTalaga in Majalengka and the society of Nagoya in Japan. The intended belief on this study isthe one related with a taboo or pamali, and the belief correlated to luck on both societies. Inachieving the goal, this research uses a descriptive qualitative method. To get the data, thewriter uses a field method that he (/she) directly involves with the people. On the other hand,the writer also uses a survey method by distributing questioners. The result shows that the beliefcorrelated with the taboo or pamali of Talaga and Nagoya societies covers the activities doneby human. Also with the belief related to luck of both societies corresponds to animals, things,and human’s activities. Until now, either Talaga society or Nagoya’s still keeps those beliefs.Keyword: belief, Talaga, Nagoya, descriptive qualitative, cultural comparison.

This research aims at analyzing (1) the effect of vendor’s ability, benevolence, and integrity variables toward e-commerce customers’ trust in UBM; (2) the effect of vendor’s ability, benevolence, and integrity variables toward the level of e-commerce customers’ participation in Indonesia; and (3) the effect of trust variable toward level of e-commerce customers participation in UBM. This research makes use of UBM e-commerce users as research samples while using Likert scale questionnaire for data collection. Furthermore, the questionnaires are sent to as many as 200 respondents. For data analysis method, Structural Equation Model was used. Out of three predictor variables (ability, benevolence, and integrity), it is only vendor’s integrity that has a positive and significant effect on customers’ trust. On the other hand, it is only vendor’s integrity and customer’s trust that have a positive and significant effect on e-commerce customers’ participation in UBM. This study aims to discover how the effect of the tax knowledge, tax socialization, and tax authorities service, either simultaneously or partially, on the taxpayers compliance in KPP Pratama Bandung Bojonagara. The research samples are the whole number of the non-employee individual taxpayers in the amount of 100 people. The sampling technique is convenience sampling and the analysis method is using multiple linear regression. Simultaneously, the tax knowledge, the tax socialization, and the tax authorities service significantly affect the taxpayers compliance in KPP Pratama Bandung Bojonagara. Partially, the result shows that both the tax knowledge and the tax authorities service significantly have positive effect and are directly proportional on the taxpayers compliance. On the other hand, the tax socialization has no significant effect on the taxpayers compliance in KPP Pratama Bandung Bojonagara.

Transferring meaning embedded by English idiom is not an easy way to do. The meaning contained by English Idiom cannot be comprehended by merely knowing the meaning from each word arranging the idiom. Dealing with English idiom in translation is quite hard because the translator has to transfer the meaning of English idiom into Bahasa Indonesia rightly. On the other hand, it is quite difficult to find the equivalence term in Bahasa Indonesia reflecting the same meaning as it is reflected in the source text. To manage this problem, the translation strategies need to be applied. This research focuses on analyzing the translation strategies used by the translator in transferring the meaning of English idioms into Bahasa Indonesia in the subtitle of  Pitch Perfect 3 Movie. The research method is descriptive qualitative method.. Baker’s translation strategies is used as guideline in classifying the translation strategies used. After finding the type of translation strategies employed, further identifying whether the meaning of English idiom is transferred rightly in Bahasa Indonesia. According to the finding, translation by using idiom in similar meaning and disimilar form was not used by the translator to translate the idioms. The frequency of  translation by using idiom in similar meaning but disimilar form strategy is 4 idioms. 46 idioms were translated by using paraphrased strategy. It is only 1 idiom was translated by using omission strategy. that the meaning of 36 idioms are transferred accurately. The meaning of four idioms were transferred Less-accurately. The meaning of 11 idioms were classified as inaccurate translation

In this study, the Azerbaijani banking sector was researched for the post-COVID19 period. On the other hand, data envelopment analysis method and models were also learned. In this paper, we analyzed the top 10 banks of Azerbaijan in terms of assets for 2021 and as a result of the study, 4 banks are efficient and 6 banks are not. The analysis was carried out using the Data Envelopment Analysis method for the 3rd half of 2021 based on the data of the five largest banks for total assets in the Azerbaijan. In this analysis, we used the CCR (Charnes Cooper Rhodes) model of the Data Envelopment Analysis method with the DEA Solver application. As a result of the analysis, 4 banks were efficiency 6 banks were found to be inefficiency and target points were identified for inefficiency banks.

Pictures are language teaching aids that can make students love to write. They have an idea to write. They can describe what they see. This study focuses on the coherence and unity of student descriptive essay written based on the picture. There are several ways to know how coherence and how the unity of a paragraph. For coherence, there are noun repeats, use of pronouns, use of transitions, and setting sentences in a logical order. On the other hand, for unity, the author only discusses one main idea. The research design used is descriptive qualitative. This study was conducted in three meetings. Each meeting, the students get a different picture. Next, they should write and collect at the end of the meeting. Then, the words, phrases, and sentences written by students are analyzed. Furthermore, it was analyzed descriptively. From the results of student essay, it can be seen that there is a significant improvement on the ability of students in writing descriptive text. It seems that the use of images can help students to write descriptive text. The picture can give them an illustration of what they will write. Keywords: Picture, descriptive text, coherence, unity

This research is conducted to analyze how the Familiarization Trip strategy is done, the result, and the obstacle. Themethodusedin this research is descriptive qualitative using the Nine Steps of Public Relations by Ronald D. Smith to analysis the strategy, interview and data research to analysis the result and the obstacle. The result of this research explains that Familiarization Trip has been done well but in the other hand has not given significant result to the increasing number of foreign tourists visiting Jakarta Textile Museum.

<p>Rhodamin is one of additional food ingredient which often used to recolour the food.<br />The additional food ingredient contains carsinogenic which can affect our health with a cancer as<br />that ingredient is not acceptable ingredient for food. Unfortunately,many Indonesian do not know<br />whether the syntetical ingredients can be used or that is being prohibited to use. The purpose of<br />this research is not only to observe whether there is Rhodamin B inside the tomato sauces around<br />Madiun, but also to get the result of the analysis as the mateial for aditif subtance experiment in<br />Bio-chemical lesson. Furthermore, this descriptive qualitative research used non random<br />sampling as its technique. The sample is taken from pentol seller, mie ayam seller and bakso<br />seller. The samples are being analyzed with Kremtografi Lapis Tipis (KLT). The result of the<br />analysis showed that all of the sample is negative. On the other hand, there is no Rhodamin B on<br />it. The indicated sample has the same Rf with Rhodamin B. It will change it color into red as its<br />response toward H2SO4 and HCl. The sample also being compared with wantex. The result<br />showed that the Rf samples had A3, A4, A5, B4, B5,C1, C2, C3, C4 dan C5. Based on the result,<br />the assumption of the samples is that the samples have wantex material on it</p>

This research aims to find the indication of sticky cost behavior in agricultural companies listed on Indonesian Stock Exchange in 2012-2015. Sticky cost is a cost that has no comparable character with changes in activity. These costs become sticky when the declining of company’s activity happens. This study used 9 companies as samples. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The analysis method used is multiple linear regression. It is found that the labor cost increased by 0,913 percent and operating expenses increrased by 0,146 percent when sales increased by 1 percent. In the other hand, when sales decreased by 1 percent, the labor cost decreased by 0,225 percent and operating expenses decreased by 0,131 percent. The result shows that there is indication of sticky cost behavior in the labor cost and operating expenses.
