Introduction: The possibility of undergoing anesthesia-assisted surgery can cause a great deal of anxiety in individuals. Excessive anxiety can have a number of negative consequences, including perioperative cardiac events, greater anesthetic needs, higher postoperative pain ratings, and a longer stay in the hospital. Anxiety levels during surgery might be influenced by a variety of reasons. The objective of the study was to estimate the prevalence of anxiety in adult patients scheduled for Surgery. Methods: This is Cross-sectional Descriptive Study conducted in Nepal police hospital with calculated sample size of 92 with round figure of 100, convenient sampling technique was used. Descriptive analysis was used for Analysis. Results: Prevalence of anxiety in preoperative patient was 31%. The prevalence in male patients and female patients were 21.2% and 39.5% respectively. Conclusions: When compared to many other research, the general prevalence of anxiety at Nepal Police Hospital was lower; nevertheless, the incidence was higher among female patients.

Public Knowledge About Soursop Leaves For Hypertension. Hypertension is a condition in which blood pressure is higher than 140/90 millimeters of mercury (mmHG). The 140 mmHG number refers to systolic reading, when the heart pumps blood throughout the body. Meanwhile, the 90 mmHG number refers to diastolic reading, when the heart is relaxed while refilling its chambers with blood. Based on a preliminary study conducted by the researchers, the data about people's knowledge about soursop leaves for hypertension was very diverse. The purpose of this study was to find out public knowledge about soursop leaves for hypertension. This research is a quantitative descriptive study with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique uses quota sampling with 30 respondents. Data analysis was carried out by descriptive analysis. The results of data analysis showed that respondents who had good knowledge were 27 respondents (90%), while respondents who had sufficient knowledge were 3 respondents (10%). The conclusion of this study is that public knowledge about soursop leaves for hypertension, is in the good category (90%), and knowledge with sufficient category (10%).

Background: The hawking of wares by children has been a serious issue confronting the Nigerian society. Children hawk in some of the most horrible conditions conceivable, where they face a serious risk of injury, chronic illness, kidnapping, rape or death. Objective: The focus of this study was to assess the perceived effects of street hawking on the well-being of children in Anyigba, Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State. Methods: The population of this study consists of parents of the street hawkers in Anyigba while cross-sectional survey design was used through the purposive sampling technique to choose the sample size of one hundred and sixty-two (162) respondents. The validated structured questionnaire and In-Depth Interviews (IDIs) served as the instruments for the data collection respectively. The hypotheses were tested using Chi-Square at a predetermined 0.05 level of significance. The quantitative data were analysed with the aid of the SPSS (version 20). Results: The results indicated among others that street hawking had significant social implications and physical consequences on children's moral behaviour as well as health status in the study area. Conclusion: The study, therefore, concluded that the government of Kogi State should carry out an enlightenment campaign through the media and religious institutions on the negative consequences of street hawking are recommended as panacea. Also, the child right act instrument and its implementation should be strengthened in order to curb street hawking in the study area.

Abstract: Stroke may cause a serious problem that leads to a disability or even mortality. The purpose is to determine such an incidence caused by hypertension at the Installation of Medical Rehabilitation RSUP Prof. dr. R. D. Kandou Manado based on the characteristic of age, gender and occupation. This research was taken at the Installation of Medical Rehabilitation RSUP Prof. R. D. Kandou Manado by using retrospective descriptive study method as well as examining 228 new cases of stroke patients that correlated with conclusion criteria. The result showed 8,3% patients at ≤44th years old, 33,3% patients at 45th – 54th years old, 32% patients at 55th – 64th years old, 20,25% patients at 65th – 74th years old, 6,1% patients at 75th – 84th years old. 53,1% male patients, 46,9% female patients. 33,3% retirement, 18% farmers, 18% government officers, 5,3% private employees, 2,2% drivers, 0,9% teachers and, 3,1% housewives. Keywords: incidence, hypertension, stroke   Abstrak: Stroke dapat menimbulkan masalah besar karena menyebabkan kecacatan dan kematian. Tujuan, mengetahui gambaran angka kejadian stroke akibat hipertensi di Instalasi Rehabilitasi Medik RSUP Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado sesuai dengan karakteristik umur, jenis kelamin, dan jenis pekerjaan. Penelitian dilakukan di Instalasi Rehabilitasi Medik BLU RSUP Prof. dr. R. D. Kandou Manado, dilakukan secara retrospektif deskriptif dan didapatkan sampel sebanyak 228 data pasien kunjungan baru kasus stroke sesuai kriteria inklusi yang ditetapkan. Hasil penelitian, pasien stroke berumur ≤44 tahun 8,3%, berumur 45 – 54 tahun 33,3%, berumur 55 – 64 tahun 32%, berumur 65 – 74 tahun 20,25%, berumur 75 – 84 tahun 6,1%. Pasien stroke berjenis kelamin laki – laki 53,1%, perempuan 46,9%. Pasien stroke yang berstatus pekerjaan pensiunan 33,3%, petani 18%, PNS 18%, pegawai swasta 5,3%, supir 2,2%, guru 0,9%, IRT 3,1%. Background: Musculoskeletal disorders are not only becoming prevalent among health care professionals in our country but are affecting their health and performance adversely. They are caused by poor ergonomics and awkward posture during work activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the frequency of neck and upper limb musculoskeletal disorders in dentists of Lahore, Pakistan. Material and Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted during October 2017 to March 2018. The data was collected using convenient sampling technique from 162 Dentists including 52 males and 110 females of Children hospital Lahore, Punjab Dental hospital and Fatima Memorial Hospital, Lahore. Data was collected by using Mangalore Questionnaire for identification of musculoskeletal disorders. Descriptive analysis of the data was done using SPSS version 22.0. Results: Of 162 dentists, 115 (71%) suffered from musculoskeletal disorders. Shoulder was the most commonly affected region (30.9%) followed by neck (25.9%), arm (6.2%), wrist (4.3%), elbow (3.1%) and forearm (0.6%). Pain (45.7%) was found to be the most common complaint followed by muscle weakness (20.4%), paraesthesia (3.7%) and swelling (1.2%). Conclusions: It was concluded that majority of the dentists were suffering from musculoskeletal disorders with shoulder as the most affected region and pain as the most frequent complaint. During menstruation blood vessels in the uterus are very easily infected because germs easily enter and cause diseases of the reproductive tract. Some of the most common disorders are vaginal discharge and pruritus vulvae (vaginal itching). However, this complaint can be prevented by maintaining the cleanliness of the female organs early on, namely with good menstrual personal hygiene. This study aims to describe the level of personal hygiene knowledge about menstruation. This research is a descriptive study with a cross-sectional approach, with a total sample of 90 people taken by total sampling technique. The results showed that the majority of respondents had enough personal hygiene behavior as many as 82 people (91.1%), while good menstrual personal hygiene behavior was 3 people (3.3%), and respondents who had behaviors classified as less than 5 people ( 5.6%). Based on complaints on reproductive organs, respondents who experienced vaginal discharge were 85 people (94.4%) and itching around the genitals was around 83 people (92.2%).

The purpose of this research was to improve compliance of nurses and midwives on blood transfusion procedures through increased organizational commitment. The study used observational analytic with cross sectional approach. 156 nurses and midwives who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria agreed to participates respondents and 46 observers agrees involved in the collection of data through informed consent. The sampling technique was simple random sampling. Data instrument collectors in the form of checklists and questionnaires. Analysis of the data used in the form of descriptive analysis, correlation, and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Based on the findings of a new model, a model compliance nurses and midwives on blood transfusion procedures, organizational commitment can improve compliance procedure of blood transfusion if affective commitment and normative commitment improved.

This cross sectional descriptive study was done to see the length of the cervix in Bangladeshi cadaver to find out the anatomical variation and to compare it with other study findings. 60 post mortem specimens containing female genital organs particularly uterine cervix were collected by purposive sampling technique from cadavers of different age groups. All the collected specimens were fixed in 10% formalin solution. This study was carried out in the department of Anatomy, Mymensingh Medical College from July 2006 to June 2007. Both gross and fine dissections were performed to measure the length of the uterine cervix. We compare our study findings with that of the references. Maximum mean length of the cervix was found in the 13-45 years age group. It was 2.89 cm. CBMJ 2016 July: Vol. 05 No. 02 P: 26-28

Background: The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an emerging infectious disease caused by novel coronavirus and hence this pandemic has a great impact on the education system. Nursing students as part of the health team should know the coronavirus like other communicable diseases. Methods: A quantitative approach and cross-sectional survey research design used to assess the knowledge of Coronavirus among 145 nursing students of district Sirmaur selected through the convenient sampling technique. An online self-structured questionnaire used as a tool for data collection. Descriptive data analysis was done with SPSS (version 23).Results: The result of the study revealed that only 31.7% of students had good knowledge about COVID-19, and 68.3% had average knowledge. Conclusions: There is a need for intervention such as educational programs or pieces of training to educate about the pandemic and its prevention practices to undergraduate students to make our society more secure.

Abstract: Erectile dysfunction (ED) is an inability to achieve an erection sufficient for intercourse with his partner which causes dissatisfaction for both of them. The etiology of ED is classified as psychogenic, organic, drug abuse, and also by post-surgery. Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a disease caused by aging. BPH clinical signs usually appear in more than 50% of men aged ≥50 years. This was a survey-descriptive study with a cross sectional design. Samples were obtained by using purposive sampling technique. Respondents were patients at Efrata Adventist Clinic in Manado. The instrument in this study was modified IIEF-5 questionnaire. The results showed that based on the duration of BPH, respondents who suffered from BPH >3 years were as many as 75.0% and <1 year were 7.1%. Based on the ages, respondents of 61-70 years were 46.5 and of 41-50 years were 7.1%. The erectile dysfunction of respondents was classified as moderate 42.9%, mild-moderate 32.1%, severe 17.9%, and mild 7.1%. Conclusion: Most of the erectile dysfunction with BPH >3 years was classified as moderate.Keywords: erectile dysfunction, BPH Abstrak: Disfungsi ereksi (DE) yaitu suatu ketidakmampuan untuk mencapai ereksi yang cukup untuk melakukan senggama bersama pasangannya sehingga menimbulkan ketidakpuasan diantara keduanya. Etiologi DE diklasifikasikan menjadi psikogenik, organik, penyalahgunaan obat-obatan dan juga oleh pasca tindakan bedah. Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) adalah penyakit yang disebabkan oleh penuaan. Tanda klinis BPH biasanya muncul pada lebih dari 50% laki-laki yang berusia 50 tahun ke atas. Jenis penelitian ialah survei deskriptif-observasional dengan desain potong lintang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling pada seluruh pasien di Klinik Advent Efrata Tikala Manado. Variabel penelitian ialah pasien BPH di Klinik Advent Tikala Manado. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuesioner IIEF-5 yang telah dimodifikasi. Hasil penelitian mendapatkan berdasarkan lama menderita BPH, responden yang menderita BPH >3 tahun sebesar 75,0%; 1-2 tahun sebesar 17,9%; dan <1 tahun sebesar 7,1%. Berdasarkan usia responden berusia 61-70 tahun sebesar 46,5% dan 41-50 tahun sebesar 7,1%. DE pada BPH paling banyak termasuk klasifikasi sedang (42,9%), diikuti ringan-sedang (32,1%), berat (17,9%) dan ringan (7,1%). Simpulan: Sebagian besar pasien DE dengan BPH >3 tahun termasuk dalam klasifikasi sedang. Kata kunci: disfungsi ereksi, BPH

Background:Covid-19 pandemic has spread across the world and is having an impact globally. The rules for handling the Covid-19 pandemic force people to change their habits and patterns of daily life. Covid-19 has brought dramatic changes to our lives, including many losses. However, change or transition experienced by the community due to the Covid-19 pandemic can cause loss and grief.Objectives:This study aims to determine society dimension variables with loss and grief in Covid-19 pandemic era.Methods:. Correlational analytic with cross sectional approach that analyzes the relationship between age, sex, education and occupation with Loss and Grieving. A sample of 278 respondents with accidental sampling technique. The instrument uses a questionnaire distributed by social media. Descriptive analysis with process analysis, analytic analysis with chi square test and Spearman's Rho at a significance level of 5%Results: All respondents experienced a grieving phase and most were in the Bargaining stage (54.3%). Men are more acceptable (14.3%) than women (9.6%). The age of 33.3% early adolescents and people who do not work 50% are dominant in the anger phase, most of all educational backgrounds are in the Bargaining phase (42.8% -55.9%)Conclusion:The length of time the incident occurred, the cultural context, the similarity of policies, and the territorial background of the Indonesian State greatly influenced the loss and grieving stages, making the majority of the grieving stages in the Bargaining stage. Keywords: loss, grief, Covid-19
