Mathematical learning activities are mostly carried out independently with limited guidance from the teacher. This raises the consequences of the demands for student independence in learning. Independence of student learning in the learning process will affect student learning outcomes, students who are independent in learning will enjoy working on problems independently. In fact, not all students have a sense of awareness to be independent in learning, sometimes even during the learning process, students often feel bored and lazy. This may be caused due to the lack of approaches and learning models used by educators. One solution to improve student learning independence through the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) learning model. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in students' learning independence. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of Junior High School 4 Sakti. Sampling using Purposive Sampling class VIII1 was selected as an experimental class and class VIII3 as a control class. The instruments used in the form of an initial test (pretest) and final test (posttest) and a questionnaire of student learning independence. Data processing was performed using SPSS 16.0 using t-test statistics, namely independent sample T-test at a significant level of 0.05. From the results of data processing it is obtained that p-value = 0.001, because p-value <0.05 then H0 is rejected H1 is accepted. Thus it can be concluded that the application of the Missouri Mathematics project (MMP) learning model can improve the learning independence of eighth grade students of Junior High School 4 Sakti. Abstrak Kegiatan pembelajaran matematika sebagian besar dilakukan secara mandiri dengan bimbingan terbatas dari guru. Hal ini memunculkan konsekuensi adanya tuntutan kemandirian siswa dalam belajar. Kemandirian belajar siswa dalam proses belajar akan mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa, siswa yang mandiri dalam pembelajaran akan senang mengerjakan soal secara mandiri. Pada kenyataannya tidak semua siswa memiliki rasa kesadaran untuk mandiri dalam belajar, bahkan kadang saat proses belajar berlangsung, siswa sering merasa bosan dan malas. Hal ini mungkin di sebabkan karena minimnya pendekatan dan model pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh pendidik. Salah satu solusi untuk meningkatkan kemandirian belajar siswa melalui model pembelajaan Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP). Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemandirian belajara siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Sakti. Penarikan  sampel menggunakan Purposive Sampling maka terpilih kelas VIII1  sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes awal (pretest) dan tes akhir (postest). Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan bantuan SPSS 16.0 menggunakan statistik uji-t yaitu independent sampel T-test pada taraf signifikan 0,05. Dari hasil pengolahan data maka diperoleh bahwa p-value=0,001, karena p-value < 0.05 maka H0 ditolak H1 diterima. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan penerapan model pembelajaran Missouri Mathematics project (MMP) dapat meningkatkan kemandirian belajar siswa kelas VIII  SMP Negeri 4  Sakti. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas metode pembelajaran Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan melibatkan 42 siswa yang terdiri dari dua kelas dengan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes hasil belajar. Teknik analisis data yang dilakukan adalah uji prasyarat analisis dengan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis dengan uji-t. Berdasarkan analisis data hasil belajar diperoleh rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen (51,77) lebih tinggi dari pada rata-rata kelas kontrol (39,95). Pada uji normalitas dan homogenitas juga diketahui bahwa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Setelah dilakukan uji-t diperoleh nilai  thitung sebesar 2,33 sedangkan ttabel pada taraf signifikan 0,05 sebesar 1,684. Karena thitung  > ttabel, maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Jadi, dapat ditarik suatu kesimpulan bahwa  metode Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) efektif terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada pokok bahasan kubus dan balok kelas VIII SMP.Abstract:  This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) learning method on student learning outcomes in class 8 of Junior High School. The type of research used was quasi-experiment involving 42 students consisting of two classes with purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques are carried out through learning outcomes tests. The data analysis technique performed is an analysis prerequisite test with normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing with t-test. Based on the analysis of learning outcomes data obtained the average experimental class learning outcomes (51.77) is higher than the control class average (39.95). In the normality and homogeneity test it is also known that the experimental class and the control class are normally distributed and homogeneous. After the t-test is done, the tcount is 2.33 while the t-table is at the significant level of 0.05 is 1.684. Because t count> t table, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So, a conclusion can be drawn that the Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) method is effective on student learning outcomes on the subject of cubes and beams in class 8 of Junior High School.

This research is aimed to identify whether scrabble game can improve students’ new vocabulary in recount text at eighth grade of junior high school. This research was conducted in SMPN 39 Bandung. The research was conducted by using quantitative research design, and pre-experimental research method. The researcher used one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample of this research was the eighth grade students of SMPN 39 Bandung, which consist of 32 students. In collecting the data, the researcher used test. The results of this research show that the scrabble game is able to improve students vocabulary in recount text. It is proved by the significant value using SPSS statistics 21 version to analyze the data by normality test, homogeneity and T-test. Through the normality test, the significant showed 0,090 > 0,05 and 0,061 > 0,05 which means that the data was normal. The data also homogeny with 0,348 > 0,05 as the significant value. Moreover, the T-test also showed that the significant value was 0,000 < 0,05 which means that the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected. In conclusion, applying scrabble game in teaching recount text is recommended because there is significant effect of scrabble game to students in teaching recount text.

Kejadian dismenorea primer di Indonesia sekitar 54,89%, sisanya 45,11% dismenorea sekunder. Dismenorea primer  pada siswi SMP X dari 35 siswi 25 siswi mengalami disminor bila haid. Salah satu pengobatan dismenorea secara non-farmakologis yaitu hipnoterapi. Hipnoterapi merupakan salah satu cara yang mudah, cepat, efektif, dan efisien dalam menjangkau pikiran bawah sadar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh hipnoterapi terhadap dismenorea pada siswi SMP. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Pre Eksperimental dengan rancangan penelitian one group pre-test-post-test. Jumlah populasi yang didapat 117 orang dan jumlah sampel yang diambil 20 orang, dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data diperoleh secara langsung dari responden dengan menggunakan alat ukur Verbal Descriptor Scale (VDS). Analisis data melalui dua tahapan, yaitu univariat dan bivariat dengan menggunakan uji t-dependen. Hasil penelitian didapatkan nilai rata-rata skala dismenorea sebelum diberikan intervensi adalah 6,50 dan nilai rata-rata sesudah diberikan intervensi adalah 1,35, terdapat pengaruh hipnoterapi terhadap dismenorea (t=17,596, p-value= 0,001). Hipnoterapi dapat disarankan untuk diterapkan sebagai tindakan nonfarmakologis untuk mengatasi dismenorea.Kata kunci: Dismenorea primer, hipnoterapi, SMP.Effect of Hypnotherapy on Alleviating Primary Dysmenorrhea in Junior High School StudentsAbstractThe incidence of primary dysmenorrhea in Indonesia amounts to approximately 54.89%, while another 45.11% is secondary dysmenorrhea. 25 out of 35 female students at SMP Patriot Bangsa (Patriot Bangsa Junior High School) experience primary dysmenorrhea when menstruating. One of nonpharmacological treatments for dysmenorrhea is hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy is an easy, fast, effective, and efficient way to treat dysmenorrhea by reaching the subconcious. This research aimed to identify the effect of hypnotherapy on dysmenorrhea in junior high school students. This research used a pre-experimental method with one group pretest- posttest design. The population of this research was 117 students and 20 students were chosen as sample with purposive sampling technique. Data were collected from respondents using Verbal Descriptor Scale (VDS) instrument. Data were analyzed in two steps, univariate and bivariate with t-dependent test. The results showed that the average value of dysmenorrhea before intervention is 6.5 and after intervention is 1.35. Hypnotherapy was found to have an effect on dysmenorrhea (t=17,596, p-value 0,001). It was suggested to the school that they should conduct nonpharmacological interventions such as hypnotherapy as treatment of dysmennorhea.Key words: Dysmenorrhea primer, hypnotherapy, SMP.

This research is motivated by the lack of mathematics teaching materials that can make students learn on their own. The teaching material can be created by teachers as they are the ones who possess the knowledge about their students’ characteristics. Further, learning materials are a set of materials (information, tools, or texts) that can aid teachers and students to carry out the learning process. The two-variable linear equation system (SPLDV) is one of the mathematics materials taught to eighth-grade students of junior high school; it contains problems related to daily life. However, it is found that this material is still difficult to master by most students. Therefore, it is necessary to develop the SPLDV teaching materials that can help students learn and solve problems as well as be used as examples by teachers in developing other materials. This research aimed to make problem-based SPLDV teaching materials. The research method refers to the Four-D Model by Thiagarajan, Semmel, and Semmel (1974). It consisted of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The results showed that problem-based SPLDV teaching materials could be used in learning activities as the students and the teachers had shown their positive responses after going through expert assessments. This study also suggested that the teachers use this teaching material and adopt teaching materials for other similar materials.

Abstrak             Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan model Picture and Picture dan Model Sugesti Imajinasi dalam pembelajaran menulis puisi pada siswa kelas VIII SMP. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Banjarnegara. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VIII-D kelompok eksperimen 1 menggunakan model Picture and Picture dan VIII-C Kelompok eksperimen 2 menggunakan model Sugesti Imajinasi. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi experimental design dengan bentuk nonequivalent control group design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model Picture and Picture lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan model Sugesti Imajinasi dalam pembelajaran menulis puisi pada siswa kelas VIII SMP.   Kata Kunci: model picture and picture, model sugesti imajinasi, teks puisi.   Abstract This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the Picture and Picture Model and Imagination Suggestion Model in learning to write poetry for eight-grade students of Junior High School. The population in this study were eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 5 Banjarnegara. The samples of this study were the class VIII-D students as in the experimental group 1 using the Picture and Picture and VIII-C as in the experimental group 2 using the Imagination Suggestion model. The design used in this research is quasi experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. The results showed that the Picture and Picture model was more effective than the Imagination Suggestion model in learning to write poetry for the eighth-grade students of Junior High School.

ABSTRAKPendahuluan: Penyalahgunaan narkoba merupakan masalah yang serius di berbagai negara bahkan di Indonesia. Keterbatasan informasi menjadi kendala kurangnya pengetahuan remaja tentang narkoba. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh video vlog terhadap tingkat pengetahuan tentang penyalahgunaan narkoba pada siswa siswi di SMP Strada Jakarta Selatan. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan quasi eksperiment dengan pre -post test control group design yang dilakukan pada Oktober 2017. Kelompok kontrol terdiri dari 52 responden dari SMP Asisi Jakarta Selatan dan 67 responden merupakan kelompok intervensi dari SMP Strada Marga Mulia Jakarta Selatan. Responden didapatkan dengan cara Total Sampling. Data dianalisa dengan Uji t-test independent dan paired sampel t-test. Hasil: Penelitian ini menunjukan terdapat perbedaan tingkat pengetahuan antara kelompok kontrol yang tidak diberikan perlakuan dan kelompok intervensi yang diberikan promosi kesehatan melalui video vlog dengan p value 0,000. Penelitian ini juga menunjukan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap tingkat pengetahuan pada kelompok intervensi dengan video vlog  p value 0,000. Simpulan: Promosi kesehatan dengan video vlog bagi siswa dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang penyalahgunaan narkoba sehingga dapat terhindar dari penyalahgunaan  narkoba. Kata Kunci: promosi kesehatan,  pengetahuan,  narkoba, vlog ABSTRACT Introduction: Drug abuse is a serious problem in many countries include Indonesia. The limitdness informations of knowledge for teenegers being obstacle. This purpose of this study was to determine the influence of health promotion through a vlog toward on the level knowledge about drug abuse at students in Strada Marga Mulia Junior High School. Method: this study is an quasi eksperiment with pre test post test control group design that alrady implemented on October 2017. The control group consist of 52 respondents in Asisi Jakarta Selatan Junior High School and 62 respondents of intervention group in Strada Marga Mulia Junior High School. The respondents obtained by total sampling. The data are analysed with independent t-test anda paired sampel t-test. Result: this study show that there is difference of knowledge’s level between control group that no treatment and intervention group that significant health promotion through vlog with p value 0,000. This study show the significant influence toward knowledge level in intervention group of vlog with p value 0,000. Conclution: health promotion with vlog for students can improve the knowledge about drug abuse, allowing can be escape by drug abuse. Keywords: health promotion, knowledge, narcotics, vlog

One of our goals should be to present students with challenging and motivating problem-solving activities. The detective story format is one setting that seems to capture the interest of our eighth-grade students. In creating these stories one of our purposes was to construct clues to reinforce previously developed concepts and skills. Usually we presented individual students with mimeographed copies of the detective stories, along with directions for solving the problems. Occasionally we presented the clues, one by one, to the entire class. We used detective stories as part of regular assignments, but they can also be used as problem-of-the-week items or as bonus problems on tests.

<p>Riddle game is one of the good techniques in teaching speaking. The objectives of this research are to describe the application of riddle game in teaching speaking, identify the advantages, identify the disadvantages and identify the solution of disadvantages of riddle game.</p><p>The researcher uses descriptive qualitative research. The sources of data taken from participants, social situation and document. In this research, the researcher uses purposive sampling. To collect the data, there are observation, interview and documentation. Data validity is triangulation. The data are analyzed by using condensation, display the data, verification and conclusion.</p>The result of this research are (1) the application of riddle game in teaching speaking is divided into three steps: (a) pre-activities (b) whilst-activities (c) post-activities (2) The advantages of riddle game in teaching speaking makes the students active in learning process, happy, increase their vocabulary, able to pronounce some words well and confident to retell the story (3) The disadvantages: makes the class crowded and riddle game has limited time (4) The solution of disadvantages of riddle game is the teacher can manage the time well and able to control the students well in order to make a good atmosphere of the class.

EQ is ability to recognize feelings of self and others, cooperate, motivate, and manage emotions and use these feelings to guide thoughts and actions to achieve a goal. Education in schools trains IQ rather than EQ on students. So that not a few students who are weak in self efficacy, self-regulation, not adaptive and innovative. Lack of Motivation, pessimism, and not being able to work with teams. For this reason, this study see the effectiveness of the Realistic Approach (RA) in developing student EQs. RA is one of the learning that is suitable in training students' EQs with a RA’s characteristic that trains students in teamwork to conduct guided discoveries, self-develop models, and can activate cognitive and affective abilities students through real-world activities and imaginable for students. This research was conducted in seventh grade junior high school in Aceh Barat with a purposive sampling using predetermined characteristics. Furthermore, EQ grouping is done based on the Likert scale Questioner 1-4 to determine the number of groupings of students who have high, medium and low EQ. Then the students were given treatment that is the learning process using a RA for 3 months of fractional material, it was found that there was an increase in students' abilities in the high category from 8% to 12%, the category was experiencing an increase of 20% to 28% and 32% and in the low category decreased from 72% to 60% and 56%. This shows that the RA has an impact on students' EQ growth.   Abstrak Emotional quotient (EQ) merupakan kemampuan mengenali perasaan diri dan orang lain, bekerjasama, memotivasi, dan mengelola emosi diri serta menggunakan perasaan tersebut dalam memandu pikiran dan tindakan demi mencapai suatu tujuan. Namun pendidikan di sekolah melatih intelligence Quotient (IQ) dari pada EQ terhadap siswa. Sehingga tidak sedikit siswa yang lemah dalam hal kepercayaan, Pengaturan diri, tidak adaptif dan inovatif. Kurangnya Motivasi, pesimis, dan tidak mampu bekerjasama dengan tim. Untuk itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat keefektifan realistic approach dalam menumbuhkembangkan EQ siswa di sekolah. Realistic approach merupakan salah satu pendekatan belajar yang cocok dalam melatih EQ siswa dengan karkateristik realistic approach yang melatih siswa dalam bekerjasama tim melakukan penemuan terbimbing, self-develop models, dan mampu mengaktifkan kemampuan kognitif dan afektif dalam diri siswa melalui kegiatan-kegiatan yang real-world dan imaginable bagi siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP kelas VII di Aceh Barat dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling menggunakan karakteristik yang telah ditentukan. Selanjutnya dilakukan pengelompokan EQ berdasarkan Questioner berskala likert 1-4 untuk menentukan jumlah pengelompokan siswa yang memiliki EQ tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Lalu siswa diberikan treatment yaitu proses pembelajaran mengggunakan realistic approach selama 3 bulan materi pecahan, didapat hasil bahwa terjadi peningkatan kemampuan siswa pada kategori tinggi yaitu dari 8% menjadi 12% pada uji coba I dan II, kategori sedang mengalami peningkatan 20% menjadi 28% dan 32% pada uji I dan II serta kategori rendah mengalami penurunan dari 72% menjadi 60% dan 56% pada uji coba I dan II. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa realistic approach berdampak pada tumbuhkembang EQ siswa. Kata kunci: Pendekatan realistik, Emotional Quotient.

ABSTRAK Latar belakang:                 Penyebab utama yang dapat menimbulkan anemia pada wanita yaitu terjadinya kehilangan darah saat menstruasi dan kurangnya zat gizi dalam pembentukan darah misalnya zat besi, protein, asam folat dan B12.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian tablet Fe dalam peningkatan kadar Hb pada remaja usia 15-18 tahun di SMAN 3 Lahat.                         Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan desain Quasy Eksperiment One Group Pretest Postest. Sampel diambil menggunakan purposive sampling sebanyak 46 responden. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Hb meter.                                                     Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukan sebelum pemberian tablet Fe  didapatkan bahwa dari 46 responden, yaitu sebanyak 11 responden (24%) mengalami anemia. Pada pengukuran setelah pemberian tablet Fe dari 46 responden terdapat 5 responden (10.9%) mengalami anemia.  Uji Test Dependent menunjukan hasil signifkan  (p = 0,001). Hal ini menunjukan ada pengaruh pemberian tablet Fe dalam peningkatan kadar Hb pada remaja usia 15-18 tahun.                                Kesimpulan: Sesudah pemberian Tablet Fe menggunakan uji T maka didapatkan           (P value = 0.001), dimana P value lebih kecil dari 0.05 artinya ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara  pemberian Tablet Fe terhadap kadar Hb remaja putri di SMAN 3 Lahat. This study aims to determine the effect of giving Fe Tablets in increasing Hb levels in adolescents aged 15-18 years at Senior High School 3 (SMAN 3 ) of Lahat. Method:This type of research is quantitative with the design of Quasy Experiment One Group Pretest Postest. Samples were taken using purposive sampling as many as 46 respondents. The measuring instrument used is the Hb meter. Results: The results showed that before giving Fe tablets, it was found that of 46 respondents, 11 respondents (24%) had anemia. In the measurement after giving Fe tablets from 46 respondents there were 5 respondents (10.9%) having anemia. Test Dependent Test showed significant results (p = 0.001). This shows that there is an effect of giving Fe tablets in increasing Hb levels in adolescents aged 15-18 years. Conclusion:After giving Fe Tablet using the T test, it was obtained (P value = 0.001), where P value is less than 0.05, it means that there is a significant difference between Fe tablet administration on Hb levels of girls in Senior High School 3  (SMAN 3) of Lahat Keywords:Anemia, Fe tablets,
