Abstract The work is devoted to determining the optimal level of fat in concentrate-senage diets for high-yield cows and studying the effect of various levels of fat in the dry matter of the diet on milk productivity and chemical composition of milk. Studies have shown the insufficiency of household diets of highly productive cows with a dry diet content of 3.2% raw fat. This deterred the potential for dairy productivity. Addition of fat in cow diets by equivalent energy and protein replacement of a portion of the compound feed with a rapeseed cake up to a level of 4.2% of the dry substance provides an increase in milk productivity in relation to the control group receiving 3.2% fat. Optimization of the fat level in the dry substance of the diet up to 4.2% in the nutrition system of cows increases the functional activity of the breast in their body, which is expressed in the growth of breast productivity by 6.78%, improvement of the chemical composition and technological properties of milk. A further increase in dietary fat to 5.2% has a less pronounced effect on the change in milk productivity.

This paper shows the results of production and chemical compo­sition of cow’s milk on a farm MILKO-HF, Prilep, R. Macedonia with capacity of 100 cows of Holstein-Frisian breed divided into two groups (control and experimental). In control group I which was fed in a standard way of nutrition (ration used on the farm), average daily production of milk per cow ws 22.49 kg with the following chemical composition of milk: average daily content of milk fat is 3.75%, protein 3.57%, lactose 4.65%, nonfat dry matter 9.56% and total dry matter 13.31%. In experimental group II which were fed with the ration according to normatives, average daily production of milk per cow is 24.04 kg with the following chemical composition of milk: average daily content of milk fat is 3.99%, protein 3.57%, lactose 4.65%, non-fat dry matter 9.58% and total dry matter 13.57%. The obtained results show the increase in milk production for 1.55 kg-6.89% and better chemical composition of milk in the experimental group of cows. Thus, dry matter was increased from 13.31% to 13.57%-1.95%, milk fat content from 3.75% to 3.99%-6.4%, nonfat dry matter from 9.56% to 9.58%-0.21%, while the content of protein and lactose stayed on equal level. It was determined that the normed nutrition has influenced on production increase and better chemical composition of milk without unnecessary spent high level of nutrient i.e. nutrition of cows according to recommended normative.

It was found that the inclusion of water enriched with molecular hydrogen into the diet of a long-tailed chinchilla changed the fur quality indicators. In animals of the experimental group, the guard and downy hairs were thinner than in the control group. The length of downy hair in the experimental group was higher, the number of hairs in the follicle in the chinchillas of the experimental group was greater than in the control group, besides, the hair was stronger and softer. The animals of the experimental group showed less tendency to gnaw out fur. When considering the data on the chemical composition, it was found that in the dry matter of the hair of the animals of the experimental group, there were less organic substances, and there were more minerals in comparison with the animals of the control group.

Abstract Pet foods may be formulated with decreased starch to meet consumer demands for less processed diets. Fats and oils may be added to low-starch diets to meet energy requirements, but little is known about its effects on canine health. The study objective was to evaluate the effects of feeding healthy adult dogs low carbohydrate, high-fat diets on apparent total tract digestibility, fecal characteristics, and overall health status. Eight adult Beagles were enrolled in a replicated 4 × 4 Latin Square design feeding trial. Dogs were randomly assigned to one of four dietary fat level treatments (T) within each period: 32% (T1), 37% (T2), 42% (T3), and 47% (T4) fat on a dry matter basis. Fat levels were adjusted with the inclusion of canola oil added to a commercial diet. Each dog was fed to exceed its energy requirement based on NRC (2006). Blood samples were analyzed for complete blood counts, chemistry profiles, and canine pancreatic lipase immunoreactivity levels. Apparent total tract digestibility improved (P < 0.05) as the fat level increased for dry matter, organic matter, fat, and gross energy. Fecal output decreased as levels of fat increased in the diet (P = 0.002). There was no effect of fat level on stool quality or short-chain fatty acid and ammonia concentrations in fecal samples (P ≥ 0.20). Blood urea nitrogen levels decreased with increased fat level (P = 0.035). No significant differences were seen in canine pancreatic lipase immunoreactivity (P = 0.110). All blood parameters remained within normal reference intervals. In summary, increased dietary fat improved apparent total tract digestibility, did not alter fecal characteristics, and maintained the health status of all dogs.

The analysis of the literature data shows that there is not enough information on the enrichment of the ration of cows of Black-and-White breed with a balanced feed complex Felucen K 1–2 that has caused the relevance of our researches. The purpose of the research was to increase the productive qualities of cows Black-and-White breed when using different doses of the balanced feed complex Felucen K 1–2 in their ration. The studies have been carried out in the Southern Urals, the optimal dose of use of feed complex Felucen K 1–2 that enhance milk productivity of cows of Black-and-White breed. According to the scheme of the experiment cows of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th experimental groups have been additionally fed to main ration 300 g, 350 and 400 g of the balanced feed complex Felucen K 1–2, consisting of vegetable protein and fat, easily fermentable carbohydrates, high-purity sodium chloride, macronutrients, trace elements, and vitamins. Animals of the 1st group have been served as control and complex Felucen have not been received. Studies have shown that cows of the 1st control group used less dry matter, EFU, metabolic energy, digestible protein, crude protein, crude fiber, and crude fat than their experimental herdmates. Thus, the superiority of cows of the experimental groups over the herdmates of the 1st control group in terms of EFU was 93,1–231,2 kg; metabolic energy – 933,7–2314,7 MJ; dry matter – 9,0–125,8; digestible protein – 8,9–29,7; crude protein – 4,6–18,3; crude fiber-13,1–48,4; crude fat – 11,6–21,0 kg. Animals of all experimental groups in comparison with the control group exceeded in terms of milk yield for 305 days of lactation by 435,2 kg or 6,60 % (P < 0,001); 814,4 kg or 12,34 % (P < 0,001); 684,1 kg or 10,37 % (P < 0,001); for 100 days of lactation – by 98,7 kg or 4,28 % (P < 0,001); 191,0 kg or 8,29 % (P < 0,001) and 167,8 kg or 7,28 % (p<0,001), respectively. The use of Felucen K 1–2 feed complex in the rations of lactating Black-and-White cows has shown its effectiveness, which has affected the feed consumption and effectiveness of their use, hematological indicators, the level of milk productivity and milk quality. From an economic point of view the dose of 350 g of balanced feed complex Felucen To 1–2 per animal per day is more reasonable.

The article presents data on milk productivity, reproductive function and chemical composition of milk, as well as hematological parameters of blood and rumen liquid in high-yielding Holstein cows of German selection, Ukrainian black-spotted dairy and Ukrainian red-spotted dairy breeds in the first lactation period for feeding them different doses of mixed-ligand complexes of Zinc, Manganese and Cobalt. It is established that the use of mixed-ligand complexes of Zinc, Manganese and Cobalt in the feed mixture in comparison with their sulfates has a positive effect on milk productivity and reproductive function of cows and the chemical composition of their milk, and feed costs decrease with increasing productivity. The use of different forms and levels of Zinc, Manganese and Cobalt in the diets of experimental cows affected protein and carbohydrate-fat metabolism and the best results were obtained when using different levels of these trace elements in the feed due to their mixed-ligand complexes. In the rumen liquid of experimental cows, the pH value increased in the alkaline direction and the difference to the control group was statistically significant. There was also a tendency to increase residual nitrogen compared to control. There was a significant difference in the reduction of ammonia nitrogen in the rumen liquid of cows of experimental groups, which indicates better use and assimilation of crude protein. The best indicators of milk productivity, chemical composition of milk, reproductive function, blood and rumen liquid were obtained when using mixed-ligand complexes of Zinc, Manganese and Cobalt in the feed mixture when the concentration of these trace elements in 1 kg of DM was, mg: Zinc – 60.8; Manganese – 60.8; Cobalt – 0.78; Selenium – 0.3; Copper – 12 and Iodine – 1.1. This concentration of trace elements was achieved due to their mixed-ligandent complexes, copper – its sulfate, iodine – potassium iodide, selenium – selenium suplex.

The management of non-leguminous annual forage crops can affect dry matter (D.M.) yields, chemical composition, and nutritive (feeding) values largely because of the stage of maturity at which the crop is harvested. After studies for selecting high-yield forage oat varieties for a highaltitude tropical climate (Haile, 1976), it was considered necessary to look into the management of forage oats so that the time of harvesting for maximum forage and crude protein yield could be established.

The effects of different sources of nitrogen on yield, chemical composition and nutritive value of Dal grass (Hymenachne amplexicaulis) were measured. Control (T0) had no fertilizer; T1 was treated with urea - 240 kg N/ha; T2 with cow manure-25.8 tonnes (t)/ha; T3 with goat manure-13.2 t/ha; T4 with rabbit manure-7.6 t/ha and T5 with poultry manure-5.9 t/ha. All treatments provided the same amount of nitrogen. Experiment was conducted following completely randomized design (CRD) with four replications in each treatment. In the first cutting maximum green forage (33.3 & 31.1), dry matter (7.7 & 7.1) and organic matter (7.1 & 6.5) MT/ha were obtained (p<0.01) for the treatments of urea and poultry droppings. In second cutting, poultry manure showed higher value (p<0.01) than other treatments for green forage (27.8), dry matter (DM; 5.3), organic matter (OM; 4.9) and crude protein (CP; 0.6). In first cutting, urea showed higher DM (23.0) and EE (2.1) than other nitrogen sources. On the other hand, rabbit manure showed higher nitrogen free extract (NFE) (46.8) than other treatments. For crude fibre (CF) and ash, no significant difference was observed between treatments. In second cutting, poultry manure showed higher DM (19.1) and EE (3.7). In both cuttings, urea gave higher CP (11.2 and 12.1) than other nitrogen sources. CF was not significantly different (p>0.05) for second cutting. Control group showed higher (9.9) and NFE (48.2) than other treatments. There was no significant (p>0.05) difference in organic matter digestibility and metabolizable energy content of Dal grass between treatments. The article presents results of the studies on chemical composition of femoral, pectoral muscles and liver of broiler chickens of Ross 308 cross when using “Zaslon 2+”additional nutrition complex to reduce the impact of toxins in the feed, since meat and liver quality of broilers is mainly determined by the content of protein and fat, the value of the resulting product depends these parametres. The tasks of the study included: specification of moisture, dry matter, protein, fat and leach in the muscles and liver of chickens. Broiler chickens of Ross 308 cross, which were raised up to 38 days were the object of the research. Two groups of 1-day old chickens were formed, 1000 heads in each, without gender division. The control group received the main diet, as for the experimental group, the main ration and a complex of additional nutrition were used at the dose of 0.5 kg per 1 ton of compound feed to reduce the effect of toxins in the feed. On the 14th, 21st and 38th days of the study, a control slaughter of chickens was carried out in order to study the chemical composition of bird muscles and liver. There was a decrease in the amount of moisture with an increase of dry matter, crude leach and protein, while the amount of fat in broiler chickens of the experimental group, where there was the main diet and “Zaslon 2+” deceased in comparison with the control group where only the main diet was used. It indicated positive influence of the studied feed additive of complex action on chemical composition of the muscle tissue and liver of broilers and improvement of dietary properties of the products

The effectiveness of the use of mixed ligand complexes of Zinc, Manganese and Cobalt in the diets of high-yielding cows in the final period of lactation, and their effect on productivity, nutrients digestibility and nitrogen metabolism in the animals’ body was studied in a scientific economic experiment conducted at the Terezyne Ltd. of Bila Tserkva district, Kyiv region. Five groups of highly productive cows of Holstein, Ukrainian red-spotted and Ukrainian black-spotted dairy breeds were selected on the principle of analogues. The difference in feeding cows of the groups was in the following: - the diet of the control 1st group was balanced to the norm only with trace elements of Selenium, Copper and Iodine. - cows of the 2nd and 3d experimental group were fed with the norm of all trace elements (for the 2nd experimental groupthe norm was provided due to introducing sulfates of Zinc, Manganese, Cobalt, Copper, Selenium Suplex and Potassium iodide; for the 3d experimental group , sulfates of Zinc, Manganese and Cobalt were substituted with their mixed ligand complexes). - for cows of 4th experimental group, the concentration of Zinc, Manganese and Cobalt in 1 kg of dry matter feed was reduced by 11% compared to the group 3. - for the 5thgroup it was 22% lower than in the group 3. The results of the studies show that the use different doses of mixed ligand complexes of Zinc, Manganese, Cobalt in cows feeding with the use of Selenium Suplex, Copper sulfate and Potassium iodide during the final 100 days of lactation did not affect milk productivity. Each cow of the control group in the final period of lactation yielded 2220 kg of natural milk, whereas the cows of the experimental groups 2-5 yielded 40-120 kg more. The difference in the average daily milk yield of 4% fat was 0.5–1.91 kg, and this difference was significant (p <0.001). The results of the balance experiment show that the experimental groups animals digested feed nutrients and absorbed Nitrogen better. Nitrogen was deposited in the body of cows of experimental groups 2, 3, 4 and 5 by 2.1 g, 4.1, 7.3 and 12.8 g, respectively (p <0.05) in comparison with the control group, which provided milk productivity increase and reduce the need for these elements.The use of mixed ligand complexes of Zinc, Manganese and Cobalt contributes to milk productivity increase through reducing feed costs per 1 kg of product and reduces the need for these elements. The best performance results were obtained in the experimental group 5, where the animals were fed with the feed containing 1 kg of dry matter, mg: Zinc 35, Manganese 35; Cobalt 0.4; Selenium 0.3; Copper 9 and Iodine 0.8. Red currant is a valuable food and medicinal plant widely used in industrial and amateur gardening. The aim of this article is a summary of results of a multi-year research of the chemical composition of fruits of red currant wild-growing species and natural interspecific hybrids of different geographical origin and assessment of a possibility of use of the selections to produce interspecific hybrids. Biochemical study of dry substance, ascorbic acid, sugars, acids, anthocyans, catechins, pectins and protopectins in red currant berries was carried out. The analyses of the chemical composition were performed by the universally accepted procedures. The levels of variability of 8 biochemical characters of red berry fruits depending on conditions of a year were established. It was shown that the most stable biochemical character was content of dry substance in berries and the most variable one – content of catechins. More ascorbic acid accumulates in berries of Ribes atropurpureum from the Salair Ridge in comparison with the amount in berries of R. atropurpureum from the Altai Mountains. By the complex of biochemical characters of prime interest are R. atropurpureum and hybrid R. atropurpureum × R. altissimum, and by the content of dry substance, sugars and catechins – hybrid R. atropurpureum × R. vulgare. The selections are a source of 1-5 outstanding biochemical characters and promising for the use in breeding. The interspecific hybrids of red currant obtained in CSBG by the use of selections testify to the possibility of production of high yield, large-fruited cultivars with a high content of biologically active substances in berries.
