There are two crucial things essence in the learning proses. They are teachers and students. The teachers are the main actors in teaching, and students are main actors in learning. Basically learning is a process of change, from not knowing to know, less good to be good trough interaction between individuals and the environment. In school learning proses is a continous series of activities, planed, integrated which gives overall characteristics in the learning process.  Skill and ways of teaching teachers in managing the learning process is called learning strategies. A teacher must design learning with the right strategy so that the material presented to students can be delivered maximally and please them.  Whether or not the use of a particular strategy in learning depends on the goals, material, character of learners and teachers. So there is no specific strategy that is best and suitable for all learning situations and conditions. But it is the strategies that fit the learning needs. The characteristics of primary school children should be a special consideration in designing of learning strategies.

This research is motivated by the phenomena that occur in the learning process, especially the subjects of Social Sciences, including the poor communication between teachers and students, teacher domination which has passive impact on students in the classroom, and lack of reinforcement and reward for students. Classroom Action Research (CAR) consists of 2 cycles, each of which consists of two to three meetings. The stages in each cycle consist of the stages of planning, implementation, observation / observation, and reflection. The research subjects were fourth grade students of RejangLebong Elementary School 135 consisting of 24 people in the 2016/2017 school year. The results were obtained that in the first cycle students' learning outcomes averaged 60.79 and the percentage of classical learning completeness was 58.33%. In the second cycle there were no more weaknesses that occurred in cycle I. The learning outcomes in the second cycle obtained an average of 72.47 with the percentage of classical learning completeness 87.5%. This fulfills the completeness criteria, ie 85% of students get a value of ,07.0 and the learning process is said to be completed individually if students get a value of ≥7. Based on the results of these studies, the Cooperative Learning Approach Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) type can improve learning outcomes, student activities, and teacher activities and the quality of the social studies learning process.

This impacts teachers because of a lack of ability to provide learning materials and an annoyance of the learning process that causes the unexpected purpose of learning to go unfulfilled. So that it makes the material incomplete and the use of learning media in online learning is not optimal. Student assessment is also constrained by mere cognitive assessments.

Abstract; Writing this article aims to analyze in a literature review the importance of combined learning or blended learning using synchronous and asynchronous strategies as a means of optimizing the learning process in the current Covid 19 pandemic era. In this article, there are four steps taken to analyze the data, namely determining the theme to be reviewed, selecting and selecting articles according to the theme, reviewing and synthesizing literature and compiling it into a writing. The results of the literature review show that the optimization of the learning process in the current Covid 19 and New Normal pandemic era will be effective and efficient by using the blended learning method where the learning process combines the two existing strategies in blended learning, namely synchronous and asynchronous strategies. Synchronous itself is a virtual face-to-face between teachers and students at the same time but in different places using video conferencing, google meet and so on, while asynchronous is that the educational process or deepening of material can be done at any time without being limited by time so that it can use technology. communication that is developing a lot today, for example with e learning, Google classrooms, moodle and so on. so that the combination of synchronous and asynchronous strategies in online learning is expected to produce better learning products as one of the principles of online learning itself is independence, Where online learning does not mean not accompanying the learning process but instead must always direct students whenever and wherever.

The 21st century learning process requires effective and innovative teaching materials. One teaching material that can help smooth the teaching and learning process in schools is a module. This study has two objectives. The first objective is to analyze the needs of mathematics textbooks that can improve students' problem solving abilities in accordance with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The second objective is to identify learning problems faced by students and analyze the suitability of textbooks with SILABUS. This study uses descriptive qualitative. The research subjects were mathematics lesson teachers and seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 09 Yogyakarta. Data on learning resources are collected by interviewing mathematics teachers. Data on students' problem solving abilities were collected by observation on class VII students. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. This study has two results. The first result is the textbook used is not in accordance with core competencies, not in accordance with basic competencies, not in accordance with indicators of achievement of competence, and the existing questions are considered difficult by students. The second result is the absence of learning models applied in textbooks. So that a textbook is needed in the form of modules that can improve problem solving skills in students with PBL models; Teachers and students state that needing textbooks in the form of mathematical modules that can be understood, motivated in learning, there are many models of questions that are real so students agree and support the creation and development of mathematical modules to improve problem solving skills. Keywords: needs analysis; mathematics module; problem solving ability; problem based learning.
