Utopia is an appropriate word to describe about the ideal, worthy, and perfect life depicted in a city called Metro City in the Astro Boy animation. This study examines the animation movie Astro Boy and how the world that is being told in the works could be defined as Utopian world like it is being described through the movie. The purpose of this study is to proof whether the setting successfully conveyed the Utopian world or whether it still has some deficiency as Utopian is known as impossibly perfect world to be created. The corpus of this study is the movie of Astro Boy focuses on the setting and relationship between human kind and robots. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method which describes social phenomena by conducting in-depth understanding and analysis. The aims of this research is to analyze more deeply the picture contained in the animation, which shows how humans and robots are able to create a new world also coexist. Moreover, the conceptual framework that will be use is the theory of Capitalism and Classism in order to examine the setting of Utopian world.

This research aimed to discuss the topic of patriarchal research because it still existed in several countries in the world, especially Asia and more specifically, in Indonesia. This research was conducted to reveal how patriarchal values were reflected in Indonesian children’s folk tales from Sumatra Island. This research used a sociological approach to literature and used semiotic theory to analyze the data obtained. The researcher chose to use a qualitative descriptive method so that the analysis process could be described completely. The main data used in this research are several children’s folk tales originating from Sumatra Island, namely Province of North Sumatra (“Di Balik Derita Si Boru Tombaga”, “Bohong Merinang”, and “Si Kodok Kata Malem, Baik Budi Penawan Hati”), South Sumatra (“Langkuse dan Putri Rambut Putih”), and Jambi (“Legenda Bukit Perak”). This research finds that patriarchal values are represented in how women are associated with domestic works, women are considered as the subordinates and inferiors, as well as showing their dependence on men.

The covid-19 outbreak that currently hits Indonesia and the world has remained the community to be active to anticipate the spread of this virus. This condition certainly has an impact on tourism destinations and also stakeholders in the tourism sector with no tourist visits in the destination. To face these conditions related to The Covid-19 pandemic, tourism actors must start aggressively looking for new strategies to survive and rise from adversity.  Switching to digital media and making new innovations in digital use is considered to be the most suitable choice during this pandemic. One of the digital innovations that can be made by tourism actors is creating a virtual tour. Virtual tours provide the sensation of traveling for tourists without having to leave the house so that they can prevent the spread of this virus. By using a qualitative descriptive method, this research is a phenomenological study that tries to find out about the perceptions of these virtual tourists in experiencing the virtual tour as a tourism communication medium during the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. As a result, even though they cannot feel the sensation and satisfaction of carrying out real tourism activities, virtual tour phenomena activities are quite enough to foster people's to be able to travel again when the conditions are back to normal.

Abstract: Metaphor is a concept in the field of architecture which is starting to be widely applied in architectural buildings today. Metaphor in architecture can be defined as a figure or expression of a form in the form of a building that can give an impression to people who observe and use it. The concept of metaphorical architecture is divided into three types, namely; 1) Intangible Metaphor, 2) Tangible Metaphor, 3) Combined Metaphor. The concept of metaphorical architecture has been widely applied to several high-rise buildings in the world, but the clarity of the characteristics and application of the concept of metaphorical architecture in high-rise buildings is still unclear. The purpose of this study is to study and understand the characteristics of metaphorical architectural concepts and their application to high-rise buildings. The qualitative descriptive method is used to analyze the case study object. Based on the analysis and discussion of case study objects, it can be concluded that the application of the metaphorical architectural concept in high-rise buildings can be applied to parts of the building, such as crowns of buildings, towers or building bodies, podiums, shape patterns of building masses, building facades and also building materials , which is adapted to the type of architectural metaphor that will be applied. Of the three case study objects examined, each has a different type of metaphor, namely; 1) Menara Wisma BNI 46, Jakarta; Tangible Metaphor, 2) Bank of China Tower; Combined Metaphor, 3) Beekman Tower, New York; Tangible Metaphor.Keywords: Architecture; Metaphor; High-rise Buildings. Abstrak: Metafora merupakan sebuah konsep dalam bidang arsitektur yang mulai banyak diterapkan pada bangunan-bangunan arsitektur saat ini. Metafora dalam arsitektur dapat didefinisikan sebagai sebuah kiasan atau ungkapan suatu bentuk dalam wujud sebuah bangunan yang dapat menimbulkan kesan bagi orang yang mengamati dan menggunakannya. Konsep arsitektur metafora terbagi menjadi tiga jenis, yaitu; 1) Metafora Tak Teraba (Intangible Metaphor), 2) Metafora Teraba (Tangible Metaphor), 3) Metafora Kombinasi (Combained Metaphor). Konsep arsitektur metafora sudah banyak diterapkan pada beberapa bangunan bertingkat tinggi di dunia, namun kejelasan akan ciri-ciri dan penerapan konsep arsitektur metafora pada bangunan bertingkat tinggi tersebut masih belum jelas kepastiannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji dan memahami ciri-ciri konsep arsitektur metafora serta penerapannya pada bangunan bertingkat tinggi. Metode deskriptif kualitatif digunakan untuk menganalisa objek studi kasus. Berdasarkan analisa dan pembahasan dari objek studi kasus, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan konsep arsitektur metafora pada bangunan bertingkat tinggi dapat diterapkan pada bagian-bagian bangunannya, seperti mahkota bangunan, menara atau badan bangunan, podium, bentuk pola masa bangunan, fasad bangunan dan juga material bangunan, yang disesuaikan dengan jenis arsitektur metafora yang akan diterapkan. Dari ketiga objek studi kasus yang diteliti, masing-masing memiliki jenis metafora yang berbeda, yaitu; 1) Menara Wisma BNI 46, Jakarta; Metafora Teraba (Tangible Metaphor), 2) Bank of China Tower; Metafora Kombinasi (Combained Metaphor), 3) Beekman Tower, New York; Metafora Teraba (Tangible Metaphor).Kata Kunci: Arsitektur, Metafora, Bangunan Bertingkat Tinggi

There are many method of teaching which taught by God especially in the Old Testament. One of the educational method is appear on the experience of Jonah. In this story, God be a Pedagogical Teacher to transform Jonah Character by his experience with Kikayon as analogical to Nineveh.  Made by qualitative  descriptive method and narrative critique to find God teaching method to Jonah.

Language expressions in Javanese culture that contain a warning to someone at the moment and will do an activity or work are often formulated with the word structure: yitna yuwana lena kena. The idea in the phrase is usually related to ethical values (moral philosophy) how one must be careful in speaking, behaving, and acting so that someone gets the safety of life in the world. Conversely, if someone is not careful in speaking, acting, and acting undoubtedly will get problems in his life. Ethical values in this novel relate to moral teachings to a woman so that she always has virtues, such as carrying herself well, must be able to hold back the passions, predict and consider things that are and will be faced, which are good and not good, and not permitted excessive behavior. Objective approach, qualitative descriptive research method and Javanese ethical theoretical conceptual framework from Franz Magnis Suseno is used to examine the text in the yitna yuwana lena kena language expression in the Gogroke Reroncen Kembang Garing’s novel. An ethical conceptual framework is used to assess the karma experienced by the main character. The assumption in this study says that the words, attitudes, and actions of someone who is careless and despicable will have an impact on suffering and misery.

Background of study: Lontar used as a writing tool before people know the paper. One of the world famous lontar library collections is the Lontar Gedong Kirtya Museum. Gedong Kirtya and the Buleleng Museum are located in the Singaraja Sasana Budaya Art Temple, on Jalan Veteran no. 23 Singaraja Bali. Gedong Kirtya is one of the oldest lontar libraries in Indonesia and even in the world which is a heritage of knowledge of the nation's local cultural knowledge. Purpose: This study is to determine the concrete efforts made to preserve the ancient lontar manuscripts. Method: This study used a qualitative descriptive method using interviews, observations at the Gedong Kirtya museum and books to find out the care and care of lontar manuscripts. Findings: The results showed that the Lontar Gedong Kirtya Museum carried out various preservation and conservation efforts of lontar collections which were realized by storing the palm oil in a special place, maintaining the air temperature in the collection room, cleaning the lontar collection with special chemicals so that the letters do not fade, reforming the lontar manuscripts, and reproduction. Conclusion: The conclusion of this research is that preservation and conservation efforts have been carried out in steps that adjust to the damage that has occurred. This effort was realized through the action of storing in a special place, maintaining the air temperature in the collection room, cleaning the lontar collection with special chemicals so that the letters do not fade, reforming lontar manuscripts, and reproducing so that the manuscript can still survive today.

The curriculum in Indonesia has been adjusted overtime. It is based on the world trends demanding the curriculum be sensible for those. One of the curriculum component, the syllabus, also changes its component and content in order to support the curriculum. There are some issues in the implementation of curriculum regarding to syllabus such as different content of the syllabus, new aims of syllabus development, and the time allocation. This study is conducted in order to investigate the real teacher’s perspectives and problems toward the implementation of syllabus in Curriculum 2013. Qualitative descriptive method was used to obtain certain information. The data are gained through interview activities in order to analyze teacher’s perspective and problem occurred in syllabus. The result show that teachers have ability to recognize the syllabus required and analyze the needs for the content of syllabus. However, the setting of time allocation which is only two hours in a week did not synchroniye with the syllabus content and government preparation. All in all, this study would be eligible to provide some perspectives in syllabus content development.

The final interview with Obama, as one of influential persons in the world, attracted many media to broadcast. His interview showed real-life interaction of a representative figure so that the way he used language is also representative. Specifically, this study aims at finding out the kinds of social deixis and to describe the function of social deixis in The Final Interview with the Obamas. The data are analyzed in a qualitative descriptive method to point out the phenomena of social deixis in the news as a part of daily life and since the collection of the data are mostly analyzed by using description and explanation form which focus on the characteristics, types, and the reason why the usage of social deixis is the main issues to be investigated. Based on the analysis of The Final Interview with The Obamas from the PeopleTV YouTube channel, it can be concluded that all types of social deixis according to Levinson’s theory are found in the object of research. There are relational which manifested by the speaker and referent, the speaker and addressee, the speaker and bystander, and the speaker and setting. There is also absolute social deixis which is manifested by the authorized speaker, and the authorized recipient absolute social deixis. In addition, the three functions of social deixis are also found in the utterances in The Final Interview with The Obamas. Those are the social status differentiation function, politeness function, and social identity function. Keywords: Social Deixis; Interview; Pragmatics

This research is conducted to analyze the internal and external factors of the protagonist’s repentance from Second Act movie written by Justin Zackham And Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas. The internal factors of repentance are self evaluation, self-motivation, self-control, knowledge, regret, hatred towards the sin, and returns to god’s power and will. The external factors of repentance are peer support, social support, intense guidance, and stimulus. It is in accordance to the theory proposed by Fachitiandi. This study uses qualitative descriptive method because the process and the result are accomplished descriptively and the focus goes to the analysis of social phenomena conducted and experienced the main character. Repenteance is not only found in a literary text but also in social reality, therefore this research is important enough for the readers to maintain a good life by avoiding things contrary to social norms. After the analyzing, it is found that internal factors of the Protagonist’s repentance in the movie script are self-evaluation, self-motivation, and knowledge, while, the external factors of the protagonist’s repentance are peer of support and social of support.

Abstrak Pengembangan wisata alam berbasis edukasi memiliki tantangan yang serius di ranah mempertahankan eksistensi dan keberlanjutan lingkungan. Setiap stakeholder yang ada harus berani menjamin keterlibatan mereka dapat memberi kontribusi yang positif bagi keberlangsungan ekosistem kawasan pantai. Model Quintuple Helix memberikan posisi yang signifikan bagi lingkungan alami masyarakat untuk memperoleh perhatian yang lebih. Berangkat dari realitas, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari strategi yang ideal bagi kolaborasi pengembangan wisata berbasis edukasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif, pengambilan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumen. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini berupa konsep strategi kolaborasi yang ideal untuk pengembangan wisata berbasis edukasi dengan model Quintuple Helix. Melalui model ini dapat memberikan modal tambahan berupa manajemen berbasis kualitas pembangunan yang efektif, keseimbangan alam yang terjamin, serta garansi terhadap generasi mendatang agar tetap dapat merasakan keberlanjutan lingkungan. Abstract Educational tourism-based natural tourism development has serious challenges in the realm of maintaining the existence and sustainability of the environment. Every existing stakeholder must have the courage to guarantee that their involvement can contribute positively to the sustainability of the coastal ecosystem. The Quintuple Helix model provides a significant position for the natural environment of the community to get more attention. Departing from reality, this study aims to find the ideal strategy for collaborative education-based tourism development. This research was conducted with a qualitative descriptive method, data collection was carried out by observation, interviews and document studies. The results of this study are in the form of a collaboration strategy concept that is ideal for education-based tourism development with the quintuple helix model. Through this model, it can provide additional capital in the form of effective quality-based development management, guaranteed natural balance, and guarantees against.
