The use of literary techniques such as metaphor is commonly found in imaginative writing such as song lyrics. In addition, metaphors can enrich the aesthetic and atmospheric elements in a musical work. This study aims to discuss the element of metaphor in the lyrics of the song "Mendarah" by Nadin Amizah. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive method. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and note-taking methods. Data analysis was carried out using a direct-directed content analysis method. Analysis of the use of metaphors in the lyrics of this song can be implied in the semantic perspective. The results of this study indicate that there are 3 explicit metaphors (in praesentia) and implicit metaphors (in absentia) in the song "Mendarah". The selection of explicit metaphors (in praesentia) and implicit metaphors (in absentia) have been proportioned in such a way as to produce songs that are not only good to listen to, but also able to convey the message contained in them.

This study aims to describe 1) the form of cohesion contained in the news Watching Sakinah Movies, UIN Yogyakarta Give Praise Students and 2) describing the forms of coherence contained in the news Watching Sakinah Film, Students of UIN Yogyakarta Give Praise. The subjects used in this study were news of watching Sakinah film, UIN Yogyakarta students giving praise, and the objects used were sentences containing grammatical cohesion, a form of lexical cohesion. The approach used in this study is a qualitative descriptive approach. The data in this study are sentences in the news of Watching Sakinah Movies, This student is a method of literature study. While the method of data analysis in this study is descriptive method analysis method, the method used to analyze and describe cohesion markers and analyze markers of coherence. Test The results of the study show that in the news of watching Sakinah films, UIN Yogyakarta Beri Pujian students have varied markers of cohesion and coherence in the Tebuireng Online news discourse. Cohesion markers were found to reference (3), substitution (1), ellipsis (2), conjunction (3), collocation (1), and markers of coherence found cause-effect relationships (2), relationship coherence suggestions — goals (1), coherence temporal relations (1), and coherence of causal relationships (1).

The core of corporate governance is composed of values such as transparency, accountability, fairness and responsibility. The principles of corporate governance and ethical approach are built on these core values. Consequently, there is a need for guidelines on how managers and other employees should behave ethically on certain issues. In this context, the aim of the study is to identify the concepts emphasized in the ethical declarations of companies and to reveal the focus themes, differences and similarities of the sectors and companies included in the Corporate Governance Index in Turkey. Content analysis method, one of the qualitative research methods, was performed in the study. The reason for the selection of companies included in the BIST Corporate Governance Index as a sample is because of the fact that the companies within this index have certain standards in terms of corporate governance and ethical principles and they are accepted as cynosure for other companies. As a result of this research, the themes that the company and sector groups intensified were determined and significant differences have been identified among companies and sectors.

The Ukrainian phraseology is constantly evolving; the obsolete and infrequent phraseologisms disappear, instead the new phraseologisms appear and the traditional ones are being updated, changed and evolved. At the same time, not only the component composition of phraseological richness of the Ukrainian language is being changed, but also the understanding of the concept “phraseologism”, which determines the relevance of our research and explains its objective – to ascertain which phraseologisms are used by the media in order to attract the reader’s attention and to find out the transformations that occur with traditional phraseologisms in the modern editions. Among the methods used to conduct the research, one can mention firstly the general scientific methods: descriptive method; analysis and synthesis; typologization. Along with general scientific methods, a modern methodology was used to study effectiveness of use of modified phrasemes in the modern media: a discourse analysis, which included the study of interrelations of the text or its unit with other elements and texts, dependence of the text on speech, social and political situation. The study also used a content analysis method aimed at collecting quantitative data about the phenomenon which allowed drawing the objective conclu-sions about the spread and use of phrasemes in the headlines complex. The article deals with phraseologisms as an actively used language trope in the modern print and online media. It has been found out that in the modern periodicals the phraseologisms become an effective tool for attracting the reader’s attention through emotionally-expressive component. The phraseme modification processes that contribute to the relevance of these language constuc-tions are analyzed. The phraseme modification techniques are investigated: complete or partial modification of semantics, adding author’s comment, spreading a phraseologism with the help of new components. It is determined that a large part of phraseme used in online media is formed as a result of transformation of traditional stable units through spreading their compo-nent composition, complete or partial modification of semantics.

Demands for tourism websites from worldwide providers is now surging. It is a quality measurement of advertising, information providing and persuasive marketing all in one. The evaluation of website’s usability illuminates the specific strengths and weaknesses of each websites studied. A selection of 39 Asian countries was studied. A criterion for selection was for the country to have an official tourism website hosted and managed by a government agency. This non-commercial study is to ensure the reliability of information. A walkthrough content analysis method was used for the evaluation. The month-long evaluation experiments the seven elements of webs’ features and functions with 44 attributes. Results were varied with highest and lowest scores were tabulated and discussed. Tourism websites that scored the highest overall and categorical sections obviously placed tourism as their main industry of the economy. The study is limited by the availability of the websites during the evaluation period. No re-evaluation on another date was done, as to avoid biasness.

Another way to express feeling, relief from burden or show how intimate someone with another is by using taboo words; even though, it is a forbidden language. However, the using of taboo words can induce misunderstanding if it is used in inappropriate situation. Moreover, there are many taboo words used by characters in the Hollywood movies which can be imitated by people from other countries without knowing the proper meaning and situation to use them because in some context, some of taboo words can have another meaning and what is not taboo for someone may be taboo for others. Seeing this phenomenon, the aims of this study are to classify types and find the functions of taboo words. The data source is one of the Hollywood movies entitled Walk of Shame. Therefore, people can be more aware to use taboo words. Some methods and techniques were applied for this research. In collecting data, content-analysis method and observation and note taking techniques were used. The following step was analysing the collected data. Qualitative method was used and the analysis techniques were collecting, reducing and classifying. The method in presenting the result is descriptive method; the result of the analysis is presented and explained in details by using words and sentences. The Theory proposed by Jay (1992) is combined with the theory proposed by Halliday and Hasan (1985); those are used to classify types of taboo words. Moreover, the theory proposed by Liedlich (1975) is used to find the function of using it. Six of ten types of taboo words were found; they are cursing, profanity, slang, ephitets, vulgarity, as well as insult and slur. Moreover, there were six functions of using taboo words found, they are creating attention, discredit, endearment, creation of strong interpersonal identification, provoking violent confrontation, and providing catharsis.

Abstract Banjarese people live in South Kalimantan Indonesia. Basically, the Banjar culture is inseparable from the river because the river and lowland or swamp environments influence the development of Banjarese culture. Banjarese people perform many activities in the river, such as trading foods, transportating people and stuff, cultivating crops, etc. Various river based activity is a source of livelihood to support daily life. Hence, Banjarese culture, including Banjarese proverb, is associated with the river. This study aims to describe how the fauna in the river and swamp environment contribute and inspire the birth of Banjar proverbs. This research used descriptive method, a method which seeks to explain the data carefully as what was recorded from observation, informant interviews, and document. Data analysis processes use content analysis method (content analysis). The results of the study were described as follows: (i) faunas of the river environment that contribute to the formation of Banjarese proverbs include moluscs, fishes, reptiles, birds, and mammals; (ii) river fauna words/phrases that became part of the sentence in Banjarese proverbs including timpakul (The mudskipper), bakut (The marble goby), baung (The two-spot catfish), saluang (Rasbora), hundang (The shrimp), haruan (The striped snakehead), and pupuyu (The climbing perch); (iii) reptile word/phrases that became part of the sentence in Banjarese proverbs are tadung (The cobra), buhaya (The crocodile), bidawang (The flatback sea turtle), and kukura (The Bornean river turtle); (iii) bird word/phrases that became part of the sentence in Banjarese proverbs including itik japun (The duck), balibis (whistling duck), buak (The brown hawk-owl), and buburak (The Javan pond heron); (iv) swamp animal words/phrases that became part of the sentence in Banjarese proverbs including siput (The snail), hadangan (The buffalo), and pilanduk (The mouse-deer); (v) rice field fauna words/phrases that became part of the sentence in Banjarese proverbs including tikus (the mouse), baringkatak (Common toad), and haruan (The striped snakehead). All the phrases or words that became part of the sentence in the proverb describe river fauna life and behavior to make an analogy of life and Banjar human nature.

This study aims to determine the process of collective intelligence of farmers to describe level of collective intelligence of farmers in coastal agriculture area farm management and factors of the collective intelligence of farmers. in coastal agriculture area. The basic method used here was namely analytical descriptive method. The sample was taken with purposive method. Analysis method was done by using chi-square and gamma tests. The results showed that the process as of collective intelligence of coastal agriculture area fanners in Panjatan Sub District were social learning and consensus process. Level of collective intelligence of farmers' on the coastal agriculture area tends to be high. Indicators of collective intelligence that have been done by all of the farmers were land clearing for agriculture, land consolidation, farm road construction, group planning arrangement, auction markets arrangement, and pantek well construction. There were two indicators which haven't been done by farmers i.e. using of plastic mulch a.nd using of power sprayer. The factors affecting collective intelligence are farmer's organization activities, farmer's experience and land size.

This study aims to describe religious values in the novel Nafsul Muthmainnah by Anfika Noer. The religious values analyzed include regulatory aspects (sharia), beliefs (creeds), and actions (morals). The approach used, namely the qualitative approach and the method used in this study is a descriptive analysis method. The use of this method is adjusted to the main purpose of the research, which is to describe and analyze religious values in a novel entitled Nafsul Muthmainnah by Anfika Noer. Descriptive method is a method used to describe or analyze a research result but not used to make broader conclusions. The purpose of this descriptive study is to make a description, description, or painting systematically, factually and accurately about the facts, traits, and relationships between phenomena investigated. The content analysis method is able to uncover the tendency of message content based on the context of the content of a text. The depth of content analysis will be more complete and detailed in understanding the contents of the text and able to associate with the context of reality that occurs. In this study, data information analysis was carried out through the stages of identifying all data, describing data, analyzing data, then interpreting existing data based on religious values in the novel. Conclusions from this study, namely that there are many religious values related to regulations (shari'a), beliefs (creeds), and actions (morals) in the Nafsul Muthmainnah novel by Anfika Noer's work. The religious values contained in this novel, namely aspects of sharia as many as 13 data findings, aspects of faith as many as 21 data findings, and moral aspects as many as 42 data findings. The most finding data is the moral aspect as many as 42 data findings and the least is the sharia aspect of 13 data findings.

The evolution of both domestic and international security issues have influenced the development of Indonesia intelligence and its agencies. Indonesia intelligence reform is marked by the establishment of Badan Intelijen Nasional or Indonesia National Intelligence Agency and the enactment of Law Number 17 of 2011 on The State Intelligence. In order to reveal the paradigm used in determining the direction of Indonesia’s national security policy, this paper analyzes Law Number 17 of 2011 on The State Intelligence using content analysis method. Analysis among indicators representing three paradigms; realism, liberalism, and constructivism shows that Law Number 17 of 2011 on The State Intelligence is strongly influenced by realist paradigm.

This study aims to describe: (1) the use of diction in Andmesh Kamaleng's first album; (2) the use of language styles contained in the songs of Andmesh Kamaleng's debut album. Researchers are interested in analyzing the diction and language style on Andmesh Kamaleng's first album because it has its own way or its own characteristics in conveying or composing a song. The object of this research is the first album from Andmesh Kamaleng which consists of 8 songs. The lyrics of the song by Andmesh Kamaleng contain 3 types of diction and 13 kinds of language styles. Diction is a choice of words that can distinguish precisely based on the nuances of meaning that arise from the idea to be conveyed. Language style is the use of words in speaking and writing in order to convince or influence a listener and reader. This research is a qualitative descriptive using content analysis method. The data source is a document in the form of song lyrics from Andmesh Kamaleng's debut album. The data collection techniques used in this study were the listening and note taking technique. Validating the data in this study using theoretical triangulation. The data analysis technique used in this research is flow analysis which includes three processes, namely: (1) data reduction; (2) Presentation of data; (3) Drawing conclusions. In the song lyrics of Andmesh Kamaleng's debut album, it contains three kinds of diction, namely diction which means denotative, connotative, and synonymy. For the language style used by the author, there are 3 kinds of language styles included in the lyrics of this song, namely: comparative language style, contradiction style, and repetition language style. The results of this study can be concluded as follows: (1) the use of word choices or diction in Andmesh Kamaleng's song lyrics, namely: 38 data denotative diction, 11 connotative diction, 11 synonymy diction, and 3 synonymy diction. The purpose of using denotative diction in a work is especially in Andmesh Kamaleng's songs so that the message conveyed by the writer can be understood by the audience; (2) the use of this language style consists of 13 types, namely: asonance as much as 46 data, alliteration of 26 data, anaphore of 18 data, personification of 10 data, tautotes with 2 data, apostrophe 5 data, epizeukis 9 data, hyperbolic 8 data, mesodilopsis 2 data, epanalepsis 1 data, metaphor 2 data, and zeugma with 2 data.
