Game as a Character Education Strategy. Today, character education is very important to be instilled in children from an early age. Modern life with increasingly diverse social activities is feared to change and influence the character of children. This character planting can be started from the smallest and closest environment, the family. Furthermore, it can be further developed in the school education environment and the surrounding community. Character building in children is not only done through the provision of learning materials in school or habituation. But it can also be done through fun activities, namely playing. This play can use games that are educational using media and or without using media. Through educational games it is expected to be able to instill good characters to children.

Having children who has a good character is every parent wish. For having this good character its need to be done from early age. All the parents has an important role on building this character to their children. Children as a good imitators will do what they see, so that the parent in this case need to be a good role model to the children. Like a wise words say an apple never fall far from the tree, so its mean childrens is the reflection of their childrens. If we want to have children with good character so the parent must have a good character too. So that the parent has a main role to building this early age children. Every child is like a clean white paper, they will follow every direction that been given to them. Not only the parents, school and the environtment having a huge role to building this children character. But back again if the parents already put the values of the good character the children wont absorb other influence from their environment. So it means that father and mother roles in the family becoming the most important things on this children character building. Other than that the parent responsibilities to their children character building need to be their main concern.

The objective of this community service activity / PKM (Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat) is to provide knowledge to participants (parents and children) about the importance of character education from early age through the family. This program was motivated by problems that happens in society in Ngusikan, Jombang, East Java, children in that area addicted to play gadgets and have a tendency to anti-social behavior and lack of social courtesy. The method in this program used a dialogical collaborative-participatory approach includes in-house training (lectures, questions and answers, discussions) for the delivery of material, direct practice to make storytelling media, testing, practice of using fairy tale media and mentoring assisted by KKNT students. The number of participants in this program is approximately 40 participants, including students. This community service activity (PKM) was followed by women who have job as a housewife. The participants stated that this activity was very useful and was a new experience. This community service activity went well and was greeted with enthusiasm from the participants..

<p>Character education is a self building and a planned effort which aim to foster the character of students to strengthen their character. It is said that establishing character education can help students understand the values of human behavior related to God, self and others. Aim of this study is to explore good values connected character education establishment stemming from hadits (sayings of the Prophet). Method of this study is a literature review to investigate books containing hadits. In this effort, researchers tried to find meanings of the hadits connective to character building. Findings show that character education is needed, because education is not only aimed at fostering smart students, but education also aims to foster character and decency in everyday life. If students have character, then the nation will be good. Because students are the nation's next generation, they must educate their own character from an early age so that when they become the nation's successor they are not only smart, but also have character. Therefore, the inculcation of character values in students must start as early as possible, that is, the period in which children absorb a lot of future applied knowledge.</p>

Character building is an important step in the process of education, especially Islamic education. The occurrence of various forms of immoral behavior from the community, especially students is an increasingly problematic education today. Character building needs to be done early on to students, both within the family and educational institutions. This paper is intended to look at the process of character building in one of the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah institutions in Yogyakarta that applies the Fullday school model with a boarding school education base. The formulation of the problem to be answered is about how the process of implementing the Fullday school system in fostering children's character and how to foster children's character with boarding-based values. The results of the study show that character building through the Fullday school program can run more effectively because the teacher's guidance to students is more intensive. In addition, the planting of the values of the pesantrenan can provide students with supplies, such as serving the parents, living a simple and thrifty life, discipline, and so on. Character education and coaching in MI Nurul Ummah is the parents' choice because education obtained by children outside the home can be guaranteed.

This study discusses the role of parents in character education for young women according to Islam. This research library research. The main and first character education for children is the family environment. Education in the family is very important and is the main pillar of character building for a child. The family as the smallest social unit is the most important educational environment and is responsible for educating their children. Character is the way ot thinking and behaving every person in their living, such as in the family, community, and nation. Person who have good character are individuals who can make decisions, consistant, and consequence with their attitude and behavior. Early childhood education is part of the application of lifelong education (life long education) which is the main portal towards the next level of education. There are 3 different environment that is very influential for the psychology and development of children. That is; first, the family environment is the main pillar to form the good and bad of the human person to develop well in ethics, morals, and morals, if not guarded properly, the effect can be prolonged. the family environment is also the initial formation of the person and character. Children's education requires an environment where he can develop the strengths he has brought from birth. Second, PAUD environment which is a place of education for children, PAUD environment should be fun for children and also provide opportunities for the development of the potential of each individual. Third, the environment of the wider community has a major influence on the successful planting of aesthetic values and ethics for character building. In the psychology of physical growth, cognitive development and psychosocial development of children from an early age are very important to be stimulated, so that children can develop according to their capacity.

ABSTRAK   Pendidikan karakter harus dimulai sejak dini. Karena anak-anak adalah generasi penerus bangsa. Pembentukan karakter sejak usia dini sangat mempengaruhi karakter masa depan bangsa ini. Membangun karakter akan tumbuh dengan baik, jika dalam proses pertumbuhan mereka mendapat perhatian dan bimbingan dari orang tua dan sekolah. Mengelola karakter anak-anak tidak cukup hanya melalui pembelajaran di kelas, tetapi sekolah harus menerapkan sebuah pembelajaran melalui pembiasaan atau budaya sekolah. Kegiatan pembiasaan yang dilakukan oleh Madrasah Tebas Parit Jawai, Kabupaten Sambas bukan hanya memberikan perintah, tetapi guru memberikan contoh praktis secara langsung  kepada anak-anak   Kata Kunci : Manajemen, Karakter, Anak.   ABSTRACT   Character education must begin early. Because children are the future generation of the nation. Formation of characters from an early age greatly influences the future character of this nation. Character building will grow well, if in the process of growth they get attention and guidance from parents and school. Managing children's character is not enough to only be taught through classroom subjects, but schools also apply it through habituation or school culture. <p>An Najah Sekolah Dasar Tahfiz Quran Terpadu (SDTQ-T) Boarding School, Cindai Alus Martapura has more complex instrument than character education process instrument in school or Islamic school because it has uniqueness, where students are schooling and staying in the same environment so that it can form very well and conducive environment for educational and character building process especially in discipline, responsibility and independence.</p><p>The objectives of the study are to describe and analyze: (1) Character Education Strategy in building students’ discipline, responsibility, and independence in An Najah SDTQ-T Boarding School, Cindai Alus Martapura. (2) Character Education Model in building students’ discipline, responsibility, and independence Model in An Najah SDTQ-T Boarding School, Cindai Alus Martapura. (3) Implication of Character Education Model in building students’ discipline, responsibility, and independence in An Najah SDTQ-T Boarding School, Cindai Alus Martapura.</p><p>This research uses qualitative approach with case study type. The data collection techniques are interview, observation and documentation. The data are analyzed qualitatively with analysis model of Miles and Huberman. The research results show: (1) Character Education Strategy in building students’ discipline, responsibility and independence in An Najah SDTQ-T Boarding School, Cindai Alus Martapura are: Emphasizing in awareness, model/example, spontaneous activities, warning, environment conditioned, regular activities, and integrated discipline.(2) Character Education Model in building students’ discipline, responsibility and independence in An Najah SDTQ-T Boarding School, Cindai Alus Martapura are habitual, dgiving example, developing discipline, and giving reward and punishment, CTL, conducting education with boarding school system<em>. </em>(3) Implication of Character Education Model in building students’ discipline, responsibility, and independence are: correct conduct in teaching and learning activities, students’ fidelity, students’ quality, confidence and achievement, and most of the students achieve minimum score of 70, the increase of discipline, responsibility, and independence graphic every year in students’ score reports.</p>
