<p><em>Islamic boarding schools are an important element of education in Indonesia. Islamic boarding school educates students to understand and practice religion with a sense of tolerance and moderate. However, recently, the moderate nature of Indonesian Islam is challenged by the spirit of radicalism and conservatism Islam. In this context, this community service on mainstreaming religious moderation among students at Darus Sholah Islamic boarding school is very relevant to spread moderation and tolerant values in religious understanding. Strengthening religious moderatism among students at an Islamic boarding school is one of the strategies to prevent radicalism. Santri as a part of Islamic boarding schools plays an important role to build a social life in the process of socialization and internalization of socio-cultural values about harmony and peace as social capital. The result of this community service on strengthening religious moderatism among students of Islamic boarding schools will make the community of students at Islamic boarding school more aware and contribute to conveying religious understanding following the Islamic boarding school traditions.<strong></strong></em></p><p><strong><em> </em></strong></p><p>Pondok pesantren adalah satu elemen penting dalam dunia pendidikan di Indonesia. Pondok pesantren telah lama mengajarkan ilmu agama dengan nilai-nilai yang penuh toleransi dan moderat. Namun akhir-akhir ini, moderatisme Islam menghadapi tantangan dengan lahirnya pemahaman keislaman yang radikal dan konservatif. Dalam konteks ini, program pendampingan dan pemberdayaan kader pesantren di Darus Sholah menemukan relevansinya dengan tujuan untuk menguatkan serta menyebarluaskan pemahaman yang moderat dan toleran. Penguatan moderasi beragama dikalangan para santri merupakan salah satu strategi untuk mencegah lahirnya radikalisme. Santri sebagai bagian tak terpisahkan dari dunia pesantren memiliki peran yang cukup signifikan untuk menumbuhkan kehidupan sosial yang harmoni dan penuh dengan nilai perdamaian. Hasil dari pendampingan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat khususnya kepada para kader pesantren untuk lebih sigap dalam membumikan nilai-nilai pesantren yang moderat dan toleran. <em></em></p>

One of the great traditions in Islamic education institutions in Indonesia is teaching by transmitting Islamic values as found in classical books written centuries ago. The majority in Indonesia, the classic book is better known as the Kitab Kuning. Teaching with the Kitab Kuning is usually done in Islamic Boarding Schools. Examining Kitab Kuning requires qualified Arabic language skills at least passively. Unfortunately, not all Islamic boarding schools that have a variety of superior programs in certain fields, are weak in the field of studying Kitab Kuning. One of them is the Islamic Boarding School Mu'allimin Muhammadiyyah Sawah Dangka which has the flagship Tahfizh Alquran program but is weak in the study of Kitab Kuning. One of the main factors is the lack of adequate quality of human resources. For this reason, this community service activity aims to provide training while introducing new, lightweight methods in learning Arabic, namely the Bihaqatil Jumal method. This method emphasizes learning Arabic using the right brain. After a series of community service activities, teachers and Islamic boarding schools felt helped and gained new experiences in learning Arabic methods to study Kitab Kuning. In addition, both the assisted object and the resource person requested that this kind of community service be continued.

Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah Peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan santri pondok pesantren salafiyah Al-Azhar, desa Patok Picis, kecamatan Wajak, kabupaten Malang; Peningkatan kesadaran dalam pemanfaatan lahan pondok serta pengelolaan kebersihannya; Peningkatan wawasan santri sehingga dapat memunculkan motivasi dan semangat berwirausaha; Peningkatan nilai ekonomis sumber daya hasil alam yang ada di pondok pesantren. Metode yang digunakan  adalah ceramah, pelatihan dan pendampingan, konten yang dikembangkan mencakup, materi technopreneurship dan kewirausahaan, pengelolaan lingkungan, keterampilan memijat dan pembuatan nugget ikan produk pesantren. Hasil kegiatan ini wawasan wirausaha santri telah meningkat, demikian pula keterampilan dalam pemanfaatan potensi bahan baku lokal untuk produk yang lebih bernilai ekonomi serta pemahaman penerapan teknologi yang lebih efektif untuk penguatan karakteristik pesantren wirausaha.Kata kunci—technopreneurship, santri, wirausaha, pesantreneurship AbstractThe aim of this community service is to increase the knowledge and skills of Al-Azhar Salafiyah Islamic Boarding School students, Patok Picis village, Wajak sub-district, Malang district; Increased awareness in the utilization of cottage land and cleanliness management; Increased students’ knowledge so that it can bring up the motivation and enthusiasm of entrepreneurship; Increasing the economic value of natural resource resources in boarding schools. AbstractPesantren Nurussalam Ciamis is often associated with the movement of Abu Bakar Ba’asyir who was caught in Banjar in August 2010. Even in 2013, this Islamic boarding school is linked again with the arrest of terrorist Anton whois allegedly an alumnus of Nurussalam Islamic Boarding School. After the bombing of Thamrin on January 14, 2016, Nurussalam Islamic Boarding School is indicated by the National Agency for Combating Terrorism (BNPT) as one of radical Islamic boarding schools. The question is whether Nurussalam Islamic Boarding School is really a source of radicalism. To answer that question, wesee two aspects of Pesantren Nurussalam namely its education method and religious understanding. Through qualitative method, it is found that Pesantren Nurussalam education system generally refers to the national education system plus Islamic education system adopted from Gontor and Ngruki models. The educational system built is not separated from the religious understanding ofthe founders and managers who understand salaf, more precisely salaf puris cooperationis. Scabies is a skin disease caused by investment and sensitivity by Sarcoptes scabei mites, often found in Islamic boarding schools, because of the place was humid and the students' knowledge about life style was lack. Health Education was intended to increase the knowledge of the students at Al-Arifin Islamic boarding school about scabies and how to prevent it. The method of implementation in this community service activities was started from planning, assessment, implementation, and evaluation. Health education was carried out through lectures and discussion by leaflets and PowerPoint presentations. The results showed 70.00% of participants gave an excellent rating of health education. Scabies health education activities provide benefits to improve health degree of public health specifically in the boarding school environment. Health education about scabies in the boarding school environment was very useful for increasing the knowledge of the students.

Wali Songo Islamic Boarding School, Guntung Manggis Village, Kecamatan Ulin Banjarbaru, is one of the pesantren of 14 Islamic boarding schools in Banjarbaru City. The problem that was found was that while studying at the Islamic boarding school, the students were only given religious lessons and the students were not equipped with community empowerment-based knowledge and skills so that after graduating the students had economically-oriented skills independently in the community. The solution offered is training in the processing of catfish meatballs, which is a simple, easy, inexpensive, and economical skill technology if managed and carried out seriously. The target outcome plan is the success of the santri entrepreneurship program and scientific publications in the Jati Emas community service journal. Participants were 25 people consisting of 20 santri and 5 ustadzah. All participants were divided into 5 groups, each group consisting of 4 students and 1 ustazdah. Each group was given the opportunity to process fish balls from handling fish to turning them into meatballs. Participant participation was very high, as seen from the very dynamic activities of each group. All equipment used during the training was handed over to the boarding school as a motivation for them to have business capital in the form of equipment. At the end of the meeting the leadership of the boarding school stated that they would provide direction to the students to start processing fish balls for consumption needs at the boarding school and then they could be used as an economic business for the Wali Songo Islamic Boarding School.

The local wisdom of the Gayo community carried out at Semayoen Nusantara Islamic Boarding School is Didong Sumang and lowers. The activity aims to preserve and instill local cultural values to students, so they are not influenced by negative western culture in the current era of globalization. But unfortunately, this local wisdom-based activity has not been maximally implemented, so the need for local wisdom values is integrated in Dayah curriculum management and integrated in intracuricular and extracurricular activities. In the context of the Gayo community, their local wisdom is summarized in the edet or customary concepts which include practices, norms, and demands of social life that originate from experiences that have been through Islamization. The manifestations of local wisdom found in the Gayo community include the Gayo language, the governance system (saraopat), social norms (sumang), aesthetic expressions (didong). The purpose of this study is to explain the planning, implementation and evaluation of Dayah education curriculum management based on local wisdom of the Gayo community in Semayoen Nusantara Islamic Boarding School. This study uses qualitative research. the results of the study showed that the planning of dayah education curriculum management in terms of the local wisdom of the Gayo community: 1) Deliberation with Ustaz / Ustazah; 2) holding deliberations with parents/guardians of students 3) giving direction to students about local wisdom 4) as extracurricular 5) forming didong teams. As the implementation of certain events, such as: 1) the race 2) Semayoen Nusantara pesantren milad 3) haflah endings and separation. Evaluation is more focused on success after applying local wisdom which is nothing but didong, sumang and mlengkan. santri behavior which is adjusted to the character values set and practiced in daily life, especially prioritizing habluminallah and habluminannas

One of the areas affected by the spread of Covid-19 is education, including Islamic boarding schools. After undergoing distance learning in the early days of the emergence and spread of Covid-19, several Islamic boarding schools enforced the reopening of learning in pesantren by implementing strict health protocols. One of them is Pondok Pesantren All-Fattah Siman Lamongan. Unfortunately, not all students understand and understand the health protocol well. Therefore, our team from STIT Al-Fattah, consisting of one lecturer and one student, conducted community service at the Al-Fattah Islamic Boarding School with the agenda of procuring Covid-19 educational posters and training in making disinfectants with the aim of making students and pesantren administrators understand health protocols. which must be implemented during Covid-19. The target of this implementation is all female students of the Al-Fattah Siman Lamongan Islamic Boarding School. As a result of the implementation of this activity, the students felt that they had a better understanding of basic health protocols in dealing with Covid-19.

  The existence of pesantren in the midst of society has a very strategic meaning. Pesantren institutions that are rooted in the community, especially rural communities, are a separate force in arousing the enthusiasm and passion of the community for progress. One of the pesantren that has a long history of the Republic of Indonesia is pesantren Cijati Majalengka. Darul Falah Islamic Boarding School, Cijati. The Community Empowerment Program in Islamic Boarding Schools in terms of economic, social, psychological-counseling, religion, education and other aspects through community service cooperation between universities and partners is expected to provide optimal empowerment for the pesantren environment and the communities around the pesantren area. This service was carried out at the Darul Falah Islamic Boarding School which is located at Jl. K.H Mahfud No. 23 Kelurahan Cijati Kec / Kab. Majalengka with in-house training methods, in the form of socialization, training, and consultation. The conclusion of the community service carried out is the need for a holistic empowerment synergy to increase the potential of the pesantren.

Many consider that Islamic boarding schools are lagging behind the times and are unable to meet the needs of the community. In contrast, Islamic boarding schools are considered as social education institutions, where Kiai plays a central role in uniting boarding school and community. Therefore the purpose of this study is to explore how the part of Kiai in the community. This study uses qualitative approaches and descriptive methods. The data in this study obtained through participant observation, interviews with Kiai, administrators, principals, surrounding communities, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that Kiai can establish strong relationships without stopping with people who are far from religious understanding. Kiai is an influential figure who can integrate all existing social institutions with the institutional boarding school he leads. Further, Kiai is used as a primary role model in thinking, acting, and behave. So that the community recognizes the existence of the Kiai, Kiai can answer every problem that the society faces and accommodate every aspiration of the community.

Abstract - The development of information technology and significant progress is happening today, where changes need to face increasingly high global competition. Islamic boarding schools are the centre of change, where boarding schools must develop four important factors: human resource development, information technology, culture and e-spirituality. This article is about developing smart city 3.0 and 5.0, where the resulting framework and methods can apply to Islamic boarding schools. Our research object is Islamic boarding schools, and in this place, we do community service. This article's results are the framework and the maturity level of smart Islamic boarding schools, where there are three indicators (people-culture, technology-business, implementation-global goals)  and three important levels (stage 1-the foundation, stage 2-good foundation, stage 3- great foundation), which are the basis for developing a smart islamic boarding school. Moreover, this article is version 1.0, which in its development will extend to the application. An application Si-PenO (Online registration information system) completed at the Askhabul Kahfi Islamic boarding school as proof of applying the concept we created in this article. This change is needed to face globalization, and change is a good thing if it does systematically. Furthermore, this article will continue to develop in versions 2.0 and 3.0 and applications that we will implement in Islamic boarding schools.
