This research begins from the background regarding each individual's interpersonal communication skills that need to be improved in this globalization era. As an empty chair technical intervention in individual counseling services provided to have interpersonal communication skills, one of those skills is maintaining good communication in the daily environment, especially with parents. This study uses a quantitative method using a survey research design that aims to determine the effectiveness of individual counseling services with empty chair techniques to improve interpersonal communication skills. The purpose of this study is to find a picture of the effectiveness of individual counseling services with empty chair techniques to improve interpersonal communication skills and to find out individual counseling services with effective empty chair techniques to improve interpersonal communication skills. Data processing was performed by comparing the scores of pretest and posttest results on a client (S) aged 20 years. Analysis of the research data used is based on client respondents (S) on the DASS instrument before and after the implementation of individual counseling services with the empty chair technique. Thus it can be concluded that individual counseling services with the empty chair technique are effective for improving interpersonal communication skills.

Abstract One purpose of Students to learn was to have good communication skills. In fact, some students have been anxiety in communicating. The research objective is to identify differences of student communications anxiety before and after group guidance service treatment. The research was using quantitative method that pre-experiment design. The discovering of student communications anxiety this research are: 1) before group guidance treatment was 76.76%. 2) after group guidance treatment was 49.78%. 3) there was a tendency that anxiety levels in communication after use group guidance was reduced.

This study discusses the role of Puskesmas medical professionals as communicators in implementation of Indonesia Sehat program with a family approach. Indonesia Sehat program is one of the government programs to improve quality of life of Indonesian people, which is part of the 5th agenda of the Nawa Cita program. In implementing the program, good communication skills of Puskesmas medical professionals is needed to explain the health status and nutritional status of the Indonesian people. The purpose of this study was to find the important role of communication skills for Puskesmas medical professionals and the effectiveness of interpersonal communication in the family approach undertaken by Puskesmas medical professionals. The method used in this research is qualitative with a case study approach. The results of this study show that Puskesmas medical professionals should not treat their patients as clients in business matters, they must treat them with empathy and compassion by conducting good and effective communication for better health. Keywords: Communicator; family approach; Indonesia sehat; Puskesmas medical professionals.

There are two objectives of this study, to describe student learning anxiety before and after the intervention, and to find out whether or not cyber counseling-based individual counseling can reduce student learning anxiety. The research method used is quantitative research with experimental design. A total of 7 students are involved and asked in this study. Data collection was carried out by two methods, questionnaires and observation. There is two data analysis used, descriptive and inferential analysis. The results of the study found that students who previously in high and very high categories for learning anxiety yet after the intervention decreased to the medium and low categories. This study showed that individual cyber counseling-based could reduce learning anxiety because of the positive impact it had on the students.

In the opinion of the authors these misbelieves are often behind doctors’ or students’ negative attitudes, which hinder the quality improvement or shift towards patient-centered approach. Background: Good communication skills are essential components of physician-training. Effective communication between the doctor and the patient leads to better compliance, better health outcomes, decreased litigation, and higher satisfaction both for doctors and patients. The acquisition of communication and interpersonal skills is recognized and documented as a core competency for physician training in many countries. In the absence of proper training, Indian medical graduates often have less than adequate communication skills and the demand for formal training in this area has often been echoed. Aim and objectives were to know the attitude and ascertain the change in attitude, assess basic communication skills, ascertain the change in basic clinical communication skills (before and after training) and to impart training regarding communication skills by using different teaching learning methods to undergraduate medical students (third year).Methods: An interventional study was conducted using convenience sampling method. Assessment of attitude, communication skills and self-competence of communication skills was done using standardized questionnaires. Data analysis was done by using appropriate statistical tests.Results: Total 60 students participated in the study. The change in the mean scores of pre-training and post-training attitude, SEGUE (set the stage, elicit information, give information, understand patient’s perspective, end the encounter) framework score and self-assessment of communication competence scores were statistically significant before and after training.Conclusions: After training undergraduate medical students by using variety of effective training methods; their attitude towards learning communication skills changed positively and their basic clinical communication skills improved significantly.

The role of women in the family is very important. In addition of taking care their household, women are also able to perform variety of other jobs, such as supporting the household economy by opening a home-based business. The effort to increase a home-based business’ success can be supported by the ability to build relationships with others. Supportive communication is a communication style at interpersonal communication level when someone wants to build a relationship. This study is based on framework of ethnography of communication and housewife’s entrepreneurial. Research method used is qualitative method with ethnographic communication approach. The subject of this research is housewife entrepreneurs of home-based industry. As home-based industry entrepreneurs, they always try to build relationships with employees, consumers, or suppliers as partners.  Building and maintaining relationships to develop the business require good communication skills. Supportiveness becomes a key requirement of communication to develop the relationship. The supports are given by delivering a good motivation for self and business partner, developing creativity according to the typical of each relationship, and also improving communication skills in marketing the products.

Individual counseling services are one of the services provided by BK teachers to help their students. However, these services have not been fully utilized by students because students' perceptions of BK teachers are not good. These perceptions may influence students' interest in participating in individual counseling services. Looking at this hypothesis, this study will discuss the relationship between student perceptions of the implementation of the principle of confidentiality by counseling teachers with students' interest in participating in individual counseling services. The purpose of this study was to prove the relationship between student perceptions of student interests. The population studied was all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Ampelgading with a sample of 152 people who were randomly selected (random sampling).This research is an ex post facto research. The research data were taken using a psychological scale questionnaire about student perceptions and student interests. All data obtained were then analyzed and tested using the product moment correlation formula. After testing, it was concluded that there was a relationship between student perceptions of student interests. Students' low perceptions are one of the factors for the low interest of students in participating in individual counseling.

Individual counseling services which are not in line with the procedures and goals may lead to students’ negative perceptions. To know this, there are several indicators to be examined whether the services have been in line with the procedures or not, such as listening skills, techniques used, goal setting, and others. Regarding these preliminary findings, this study aimed at describing students’ perceptions of individual counseling services provided by counselors in Semarang, Indonesia and its differences in terms of counselor communication skills based on genders and grades. Survey method with cross-sectional technique (n=709) was employed to investigate this issue. To determine students’ perception of the implementation of individual counseling by the counselor, the authors used MANOVA and multidimensional descriptive analysis. The findings showed that according to gender, male students had lower perceptions of the individual counseling given by counselors than female students. Further, differences in perceptions based on grades are also discussed in this article.

 This study examines the influence of: 1)  organizational culture on the organizational commitment of private Vocational high School (SMK) teachers in Serang; 2) interpersonal communication on the commitment of the organization of private SMK teachers in Serang; 3)  organizational culture and interpersonal communication on the organization's commitment of private SMK teachers in Serang; 4) organizational culture on the performance of private SMK teachers in Serang; 5)  interpersonal communication on the performance of private SMK teachers in Serang; 6) organizational commitment to the performance of private SMK teachers in Serang; and 7) the influence of organizational culture, interpersonal communication, and organizational commitment to the performance of private SMK teachers in Serang. The study used a survey research with 92 sample research. Data were taken by using questionnaire and analyzed using structure equation model (SEM). The results are as follows. First, organizational culture and interpersonal communication individually and together positively and significantly influence the teacher's commitment to private SMK organization in Serang. Second, organizational culture, interpersonal communication, and organizational commitment have positive and significant influence both individually and collectively on the performance of private SMK teachers in Serang.
