Introduction: In today's business environment, issues related to the competitiveness and sustainability of a country, region, or individual enterprise are a priority. Moreover, the competition of the enterprise is the most important factor contributing to the improvement of the efficiency of the national economy. The experience of the most economically developed and competitive countries of the world shows that one of the main elements of enterprise competitiveness management is to assess the level of its economic development. The diversity of all the approaches and methods of assessing the competitiveness of the enterprise, discussed in the article, is combined with the lack of systematic ideas about the mechanisms, priorities and factors of the formation of the enterprise's competitiveness in the development of the national economy of the country, which is currently quite relevant topic. The purpose of the paper is to determine the features of methods of assessing the competitiveness of the enterprise. Results. One of the main elements of enterprise competitiveness management is to evaluate its functioning both qualitatively and quantitatively, although only quantitative assessment allows to measure and manage its existing competitiveness. In modern conditions, the assessment of the competitiveness of the enterprise and its products in the country is an important condition for the development of economic security of the country, state, regional and sectoral policies. Conclusion. To date, every enterprise, especially in unstable market conditions and the availability of both true and fake information, in practice requires the use of different methods and methodological approaches, which can be used to weigh all the analyzed indicators and results of competitive activity of the enterprise and to choose the necessary direction for further effective operations and stable competitive positions. The methods and methodological approaches presented in the article are all different with their advantages and disadvantages, as well as a certain set of indicators of competitive analysis of both external and internal activity of the enterprise. That is why, for the management of the enterprise it is necessary to select only the base of indicators that are necessary for them, and already with their help to choose the most acceptable and effective method of evaluating the competitive positions of the enterprise.

The purpose of the research. The purpose of the article is to elaborate scientific and methodological approaches to providing economic security of an enterprise as a key component of its management. Methodology. The study applies general scientific theoretical methods – generalization, explanation, grouping – to analyzing economists’ and practitioners’ ideas about the object of the research and formulating conclusions of content analysis of primary sources, analysis and synthesis – to substantiating a new scientific approach to ensuring economic security of an enterprise. Results. Specific features of economic security of an enterprise as an object of management are taken into account as those revealing themselves in nonlinearity of links between its current level and the implemented set of managerial actions. To assess the results of ensuring economic security, its dynamic parameters have been substantiated including those of operational excellence as an internal prerequisite of its provision and market sustainability as an external form of manifesting internal systemic characteristics of a business. A methodological approach to assessing results of ensuring economic security of an enterprise is suggested on the basis on assessing the degree of correspondence of the above parameters (provision planes) to enterprises’ internal standards, industry averages and the best current business practices. Implementation of the suggested methodological approach to assessing the results of ensuring economic security in retrospective enables empirical confirmation of the fact that internal operating prerequisites and market positions of mining and metallurgical enterprises are determined by used/unused opportunities of the business environment for a certain period of time. Styles of ensuring the economic security of the enterprises under study are identified. It is revealed that the regressive style, which manifests itself in overestimation of internal standards with a dangerous degree of compliance with the best business practices is prevailing. It has been substantiated that its use puts the economic security level in a critically dangerous dependency on the market situation and, taking into account current trends in the economic and political environment, makes it possible to predict a decline in the economic security level of the enterprises under study in the near future: the global economic decline, increased protectionism on the markets, increased tax burden, increased environmental tax rates, etc. Practical importance. A scientific approach to ensuring economic security of an enterprise has been substantiated which integrates the strategic and operational levels of management and ensures minimization of the degree of inconsistency of the internal system characteristics of the business with stakeholders’ e requirements and trends in the external environment based on the use of opportunities for increasing value added streams in the context of permanent dynamic changes in the functioning of the enterprise. Further research is devoted to development of methodological approaches to taking into account the third plane of ensuring economic security – “stakeholder satisfaction”.

This study considers the features of modern development of economic systems – intensification of offshoring of economy, which forms the relevance of the study. The purpose of the study is to perform a theoretical analysis of offshoring, to establish its impact on the national economic security and to develop ways to de-offshoring the economy. The methodological basis of the study were general scientific and special methods of cognition, including methods of dialectical cognition, theoretical generalisation and abstraction, methods of economic and statistical analysis, induction, deduction, and synthesis. The study analyses the volume of offshore capital outflows, the volume of tax asymmetry and the volume of offshore economies of different countries, including Ukraine. Proceeding from the analysis data, the study indicated the threatening volumes of offshoring in the modern economy. In addition, the study provided the theoretical analysis of the offshoring process in the system of national economic security, establishing the main reasons, advantages and disadvantages of this process for the national economy. The main threats posed by offshoring the economy and national economic security are highlighted. The definition of the concepts of offshoring and deoffshoring is formed taking into account their security-related importance. It was discovered that a considerable share of the withdrawn capital is returned to the national economy in the form of so-called "round-trip" investments. It is concluded that it is necessary to factor in their safety value for the economy when implementing measures to reduce their volume. The study analysed the ratio of withdrawn capital and external debt of different countries and found that Ukraine is one of the leading countries according to this indicator. The main ways of de-offshoring the Ukraine's economy and ensuring the economic security of the state have been developed

It provides a certain level of voluntary response to social problems, compliance with moral requirements of society. Companies have already realized the benefits of a socially proactive position and are increasingly involved in solving social and environmental problems. This raises the issue of CSR evaluation from a cost / benefit standpoint. The aim of the article is to study the existing approaches to assessing the level of CSR and determine the scope of their use. Design/methodology/approach. Abstract and logical method was used for generalization of theoretical and methodological provisions for the assessment of CSR. A systematic approach was used to form a system of ESG-indicators and to develop a system of indicators for assessing the benefits of implementing CSR activities. Economic and statistical methods were used for the assessment of CSR Ukrainian companies. Finding. The article presents the key characteristics of CSR. The focus is on the positive impact of the implementation of CSR practices on the activities of companies. A critical analysis of the approaches of Ukrainian scientists to the assessment of CSR was made, which allows to distinguish the assessment of CSR in general and the effectiveness of CSR activities. The authors identified three methodological approaches to the assessment of CSR. A general description of these approaches is given, their advantages and disadvantages are identified. The authors note that there is no universal form of financial reporting, businesses have a choice of what form it is. The most common are sustainable development reports, which are formulated for GRI standards. More Ukrainian companies publish their social reports, thus declaring their commitment to CSR concepts. It is proved that CSR is gradually transformed into a system of environmental, social and management parameters - ESG. The content of ESG-factors is determined and a system of indicators in the context of ecological, social and management spheres is formed. The system of indicators for assessing the benefits of implementing CSR activities is formed. A special place in the article is given to the international rankings of companies according to their ESG indicators. Based on the data of the catalog of social initiatives of companies, the general state of CSR in Ukraine is analyzed. It is established that the development of CSR in Ukraine is in line with European trends. The modern practice of social responsibility assessment is systematized. Practical implications. The practical significance of the obtained results is to develop the theoretical and methodological basis for the assessment of CSR. The results of the study can be used by entrepreneurs and managers seeking to achieve long-term success in the global business environment. Originality/value. The theoretical basis of CSR evaluation is developed by distinguishing three groups of methodological approaches, including analysis of non-financial reporting, calculation of quantitative and qualitative indicators, as well as index and rating methods. A system of indicators based on the maximum consideration of stakeholders' interests has been developed to assess the benefits of CSR activities.

Situation and value of the African continent on the economic and social cardmap of the world dynamically changes and will continue to change throughout all the 21st century with strengthening of the Africa positions in the world. In Russia all the complex of threats and problems which arise owing to political and economic transformation of Africa is not adequately estimated. The scientific literature on economic security issues presents an expanded set of internal and external threats to the national economy that goes beyond the traditional areas of the shadow economy, corruption, economic crime and related segments, including the internal economic stability of the national economy and inter-country competition, the quality of state strategic management, studies of the specifics of ensuring economic security in the conditions of the sixth technological order, intercultural communication and their impact on the economic relations between countries, etc. Incomplete use of such approach to strategy for the countries of Africa creates additional threats and risks for Russia. An analysis of security problems in Africa revealed that studies of economic security in the context of African development trends in Russia are conducted in an unsatisfactory volume, not always taking into account the results of new developments in the field of ensuring economic security. Even the large shifts happening on the African continent, forecasts of this dynamics sometimes are poorly known to experts of a profile of economic security, and many experts of an economic profile including working in the African subject often do not accurately distinguish problems of “economic cooperation” and “the Russian – African relations”, on the one hand, and “economic security of Russia” – with another. In this regard the new scientific problem is proved: need for deeper analysis of trends of economic and social development in Africa as an important component of a system of ensuring national economic security of Russia in the current period and in the future into account the new developments in the sphere of economic security. The main directions of activating scientific research and concentration of practical efforts to increase national economic security, neutralize threats and reduce risk for Russia in the designated context are formulated.

Ensuring the economic security of municipalities is one of the key conditions for stable socio-economic de-velopment of the region. Recently, intraregional differentiation of territories has been growing, which increases the risk of the formation of negative factors that reduce the quality of life of the population. In order to neutralize and prevent acute social and economic problems, constant monitoring of the current state of the municipal econ-omy is necessary. As such a management tool, a rating assessment of the economic security of municipalities in the region can be used. The ranking of territories allows you to visualize the relative advantages and disadvantages of the development of territories. In addition, a systematic comparative analysis of controlled socio-economic pa-rameters will allow regional authorities to evaluate the results of the activities of local governments and improve the effectiveness of regional socio-economic policy. The article proposes a methodology for rating the economic security of municipalities, during which it is possible to visually assess the depth of the threats studied at the level of each territory. To this end, the proposed methodology is based on a system of indicators that identify the main problem areas of the socio-economic condition of the territories. To form the rating, the studied indicators are normalized and integral indices characterizing the level of economic security of municipalities are calculated. The methodology proposes criteria for assessing the level of municipal economic security (high; above average; aver-age; crisis; critical). According to the results of the study, a rating of municipal districts of the Khabarovsk Terri-tory was compiled. The study showed that the territories of the region are characterized by an unstable socio-economic condition. The leading positions in the rating are occupied by areas with an average level of economic security. Most municipal districts of the region have a crisis level of economic security, which provides for the de-velopment of a set of measures aimed at eliminating existing problems.
