This research is motivated by the role of principal leadership in improving education management. The success and failure of an organization in achieving the goals that have been set depends very much on the role and ways of leading practiced by the leader, in the context of the educational institution is the principal. Recognized or not, the principal is one of the important elements of educational activities. Improving the quality of education in schools and as the highest authority in schools is a professional and moral responsibility to make the school the center of science, culture, and the development of the nation's personality. Given his considerable responsibility, school principals are required to have more and adequate abilities. One of the duties of the principal is as a manager, which is required to be able to complete administrative and supervisory tasks. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with the research location at Tawakkal Junior High School (SMP) Denpasar. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis was carried out systematically starting from data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and verification of results. From the results of the research, the authors concluded that the principal as the leader of educational institutions has been able to become a driving force for school management in a more advanced direction, upholds quality and morality and has been able to implement various management functions in managing educational organizations / institutions based on the principles -management principles and Islamic religious values. This can be proven from the academic achievements that have been obtained in value which has continued to increase, especially in the last three academic years. Likewise, the non-academic achievements he has achieved so far are quite encouraging

Abstrak "Pendidikan adalah kesadaran untuk mengembangkan kepribadian dan kemampuan di dalam dan luar sekolah dan berlangsung seumur hidup", yang dilaksanakan di dalam lingkungan keluarga, sekolah dan masyarakat. Suatu lembaga pendidikan pasti mengharapkan tercapainya tujuan pendidikan yang mana dapat membantu terwujudnya tujuan nasional. Keterpaduan pendidikan baik keluarga, sekolah dan masyarakat sangat menentukan keberhasilan dalam dunia pendidikan. Keluarga merupakan lembaga pendidikan tertua, yang pertama dan utama dialami oleh anak dan lembaga pendidikan yang bersifat kodrat. Sekolah sebagai lembaga pendidikan formal hakekatnya merupakan lembaga yang mendapat kepercayaan dari orang tua untuk mendidik anak-anaknya dengan tanggung jawab yang terbatas, sesuai dengan fungsi dan tujuan lembaga pendidikan tersebut. Orang tua khususnya ibu mempunyai andil keberhasilan anaknya. Ibu adalah pendidik pertama, utama dan kodrat. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dengan judul " Perkembangan Kognitif Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun di tinjau dari tingkat Pendidikan Ibu Berdasarkan hasil data penelitian yang ditemukan bahwa tingkat pendidikan ibu dengan kategori sarjana lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan ibu yang tingkat pendidikan SLTA/SMK dan SLTP dalam hal mengoptimalkan perkembangan kognitif anak Rumbai Kota Perkanbaru   Abstract Education is understanding to develop the personality and in and out of school and lasted for hidup' , which was carried out within the family , schools and the community .An institution must expect the achievement of the aims of education where it can help maintaining national goals .Both the integrated education , schools and community it is the success in education sector .The family was the oldest educational institutions , first and foremost for children and educational institution that is nature .Schools as formal educational institutions is a substance that was commissioned from parents to educate anak-anaknya with limited responsibility , in accordance with its function and purpose the educational institutions. Parents especially mother have a share the success of his son.Mother is educator first, main and partaking. The quality assurance and development of an educational institution depends on the quality of the headmaster as an educational leader. Therefore, the headmaster are required to be more creative, innovative and dynamic in line with changes in society that are increasingly fast and open. This study aims to analyze the role of principal leadership in supporting quality assurance at SMA YP 17 Surabaya. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with a case study approach. From the results of the study it can be concluded that in supporting quality assurance, the leadership of the head of SMA YP 17 Surabaya is supported by the character of strong responsibility, courage in making decisions, and participation in implementing policies. The headmaster has made several important efforts in supporting the quality assurance of the institution by developing the curriculum, human resources, infrastructure and increasing community participation. In managerial terms, the development of the quality of the institution is supported by good coordination with the academic community and the existence of togetherness in curriculum management and learning. In order for quality assurance to be more effective, the headmaster must periodically evaluate every program that has been implemented. The aim is to measure the level of success and find out the deficiencies of the program being implemented. Furthermore, the headmaster needs to conduct more massive socialization of the institution to the community. This is an effort to increase community participation in efforts to develop the quality of schools in the future.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1.) Mengkaji implementasi manajemen strategik peningkatan mutu lembaga pendidikan Muhammadiyah di SMP Al-Mujahidin dan SMP Muhammadiyah Semin Kabupaten Gunungkidul; dan 2.) Menemukan formulasi alternatif manajemen strategik lembaga pendidikan Muhammadiyah dalam meningkatkan mutu sekolah di Kabupaten Gunungkidul. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian studi kasus yang bersifat kualitatif, dengan mengunakan metode observasi, interview dan dokumentasi terhadap dua lembaga pendidikan Muhammadiyah. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teori Miles dan Huberman dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi manajemen strategik yang dilakukan oleh SMP Muhammadiyah Al-Mujahidin dan SMP Muhammadiyah Semin melibatkan semua stakeholder. Sekolah terlebih dahulu merumuskan visi misi sekolah dengan mempertimbangkan faktor internal dan eksternal lingkungan sekolah, dilanjutkan merumuskan tujuan dan target mutu sekolah diikuti dengan penentuan strategi yang akan digunakan oleh sekolah demi terealisasinya semua target mutu yang disepakati. Implementasi strategi yang dilakukan SMP Muhammadiyah Al-Mujahidin dan SMP Muhammadiyah Semin dalam meningkatkan mutu sekolah adalah dengan menjabarkan dan melaksanakan semua strategi yang telah dirumuskan dalam bentuk kegiatan-kegiatan terprogram dan terukur. Evaluasi strategi yang digunakan SMP Muhammadiyah Al-Mujahidin dan SMP Muhammadiyah Semin adalah melalui rapat formal maupun informal. AbstractThe objective of the present study is to: 1.) Review the implementation of strategic management for the improvement of the Muhammadiyah educational institution quality in the context of Al-Mujahidin Junior High School and Muhammadiyah Junior High School Semin, the Regency of Gunungkidul; and 2.) Identify the alternative formula for the implementation of the strategic management within the Muhammadiyah educational institution quality toward the improvement of the school quality in the Regency of Gunungkidul. The nature of the study is qualitative research using observation, interview, and documentation with two Muhammadiyah educational institutions as the objects of the study. Throughout the data analysis, the technique that has been implemented is the data analysis technique proposed by Miles & Huberman under the following sequence: (1) data reduction; (2) data presentation; and (3) conclusions. The results of the study show that the implementation of strategic management by the Al-Mujahidin Junior High School and the Muhammadiyah Junior High School Semin has involved all stakeholders. The two Muhammadiyah educational institutions formulate the school vision and the school mission in the very first place with considerations toward the internal factors and the external factors of the school environment. Then, the two Muhammadiyah educational institutions proceed to the formulation of the objectives and the targets for the school quality followed by the definition of the school strategy in achieving all of the quality targets that have been formulated. Furthermore, the strategic management by the Al-Mujahidin Junior High School and the Muhammadiyah Junior High School Semin in improving the school quality is elaborating and implementing all strategies that have been formulated in the form of programmed and measured activities. The strategies will be evaluated by the Al-Mujahidin Junior High School and the Muhammadiyah Junior High School Semin through the mechanism of both formal and informal meetings.

The dilemma between general pedagogical offer and individual needs of every student has been topical in all ages and now, too. An inclusive education now has been considered a new hope and a possible solution for the pedagogical dilemma – how to provide educational and development necessities of every child at comprehensive school. Teacher is a crucially essential person in the practice of inclusive education. The teachers mostly have to be professionally competent in order to reveal varied necessities, individual academic achievements, the social and culture environment, where these students live, of every student; and it provides an opportunity to find out how to facilitate academic achievements of every student most efficiently. The research reveals the work conditions of Latgale region teachers through the implementation of inclusive education at educational institutions of different level.

Informasi dan pencarian lokasi lembaga sangat dibutuhkan masyarakat untuk menentukan pilihan lembaga yang diinginkan. Pada penelitian ini pengetahuan mengenai Lembaga Pendidikan di Provinsi D.I. Yogyakarta (DIY) disimpan dalam model ontologi berbasis web. Provinsi DIY terkenal sebagai kota pelajar dan menjadi tujuan untuk menuntut ilmu. Lembaga pendidikan terdiri dari lembaga pendidikan formal dan non-formal, lembaga pendidikan formal yang terdiri dari Sekolah Dasar, Sekolah Menengah Pertama, Sekolah Menengah Atas, Universitas dan sebagainya, sedangkan lembaga pendidikan non formal seperti Lembaga Kursus dan Lembaga Pelatihan dan Keterampilan (LPK).Penilitian ini bertujuan merancang ontologi lembaga pendidikan Provinsi D.I. Yogyakarta dan merancang sistem pencarian. Hasil dari penelitian ini membangun sebuah aplikasi pencarian menggunakan pencarian berdasarkan kata kunci dan kriteria. Dalam pencarian menggunakan kata kunci, pengguna dapat melakukan pencarian sesuai pengetahuan pengguna. Sedangkan pencarian menggunakan kriteria, pengguna dapat melakukan pencarian dengan kriteria yang terdapat pada aplikasi dengan bantuan pilihan untuk pencarian. Selain itu, aplikasi ini juga memiliki beberapa fitur, seperti rute ke lokasi lembaga pendidikan yang ada di Provinsi D.I. Yogyakarta.[En]Educational Institution is an institution that is strategizes in generating and improving the quality of human resources in a country. Information and location search is needed in community organizations to determine the selection of the desired institute. In this study, knowledge of Institutions in Yogyakarta is stored in a web-based ontology model. Yogyakarta is famous as a city of students and a destination for studying. Schools consisting of formal educational institutions and non-formal institutions, formal education institutions consist of elementary school, junior high school, senior high school, university and so on, while non-formal education institutions consist of private Institute courses and the Institute for Training and Skills (LPK).This research aims to design the ontology of educational institutions province of Yogyakarta and search systems design. The results of this study is the development a search application using a search based on keywords and criteria. In search using keywords, users can conduct a search according the user's knowledge. While using a search criteria, users can perform a search with the criteria contained in the application with the help of an option to search. In addition, the application also has several features, such as the route to the location of existing educational institutions in Yogyakarta.

This study aims to find theories about community-based Kindergarten educational institutions management. Data were collected objectively, not influenced by observers' wishes, using questionnaires, interviews, observation sheets, and interview guides. Data validation used data triangulation method between researchers, practitioners, namely the headmasters, teachers, school committees, parents of students, and community leaders involved in Kindergarten in Kebumen Regency. Pragmatically, this study found a theory about the functions and implementation of Kindergarten that are managed professionally with support and community participation. The organization of Kindergarten educational institution organizers carried out based on the job description, the meaning is between schools, communities, and parents have their roles, functions and responsibilities based on a joint decision with increasing the growth and development of Kindergarten (Raudhlatul Athfal) professionally and competitive. Educational institution development program of Kindergarten starts with the community's idea, carried out by teacher under community supervision, and the community evaluates the results. The community functions as the facilitator of building's physical development program, completeness of facilities and other infrastructure as well as the quality development program for Kindergarten educational institution professionally.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan teori tentang manajemen lembaga pendidikan TK berbasis masyarakat. Data dikumpulkan secara obyektif, tidak dipengaruhi oleh keinginan pengamat, menggunakan kuesioner, wawancara, lembar observasi, dan panduan wawancara. Validasi data menggunakan metode triangulasi data antara peneliti, praktisi, yaitu kepala sekolah, guru, komite sekolah, orang tua siswa, dan tokoh masyarakat yang terlibat di Taman Kanak-kanak di Kabupaten Kebumen. Secara pragmatis, penelitian ini menemukan teori tentang fungsi dan implementasi TK yang dikelola secara profesional dengan dukungan dan partisipasi masyarakat. Organisasi penyelenggara lembaga pendidikan TK dilaksanakan berdasarkan uraian tugas, artinya antara sekolah, masyarakat, dan orang tua memiliki peran, fungsi dan tanggung jawab mereka sendiri berdasarkan keputusan bersama dengan meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan Taman Kanak-Kanak (Raudhlatul Athfal) secara profesional dan kompetitif . Program pengembangan lembaga pendidikan TK dimulai dengan gagasan masyarakat, dilaksanakan oleh guru di bawah pengawasan masyarakat, dan hasilnya dievaluasi oleh masyarakat. Komunitas ini berfungsi sebagai fasilitator program pembangunan fisik bangunan, kelengkapan fasilitas dan infrastruktur lainnya, serta program pengembangan kualitas untuk lembaga pendidikan TK secara profesional.

The modern system of preschool education is unique in its multidimensional nature of services since in a preschool educational institution a child is provided with upbringing, training, supervision, and care. The child's future academic performance largely depends on his preschool education. The article examines key indicators featuring the development of preschool education in the Krasnodar Region. The purpose of this study is to summarize the results of improvements in education, to determine the main guidelines for further activities. Today in the Russian Federation there are no mechanisms for a comprehensive quantitative assessment of the activities of preschool educational institutions; the assessment is implemented mainly using the method of expert estimates. Therefore, specialists of the education management bodies and heads of the educational institutions can compare the preschool educational institutions only based on these scattered data. The authors propose the following directions of state support for the development of the regional education system: 1) to determine the list of services on the market; provide a description and define their sourcing; 2) to develop an annually updated system of accounting for unmet needs of the population in preschool educational services; 3) to create a system for the development of entrepreneurship in the field of preschool education, given the support from public authorities.

The quality of education in an educational institution will be greatly influenced by the potential of educational institutions and the governance system. The existing potential must be optimized to support quality improvement. Likewise, the education governance system will develop well when it is implemented through a good system by professional managers. The system has been designed in detail by the government which was stipulated by the Minister of National Education Regulation No. 19 of 2007 concerning "Education Management Standards by Primary and Secondary Education Units". This regulation was prepared by the government to regulate a good, balanced and sustainable governance system.The problem is determined to what extentthe ability of educational institutions to optimize the potential of the institution and optimizing inputs, processes, outputs and outcomes, starting from planning, organizing, actuiting, and controlling. This paper will discuss the improving educational quality through optimizing the potential of educational institutions in Indonesia in order to achieve shared ideals for a better educational future.

The educational institution must have a strategy in bringing about an improvement or change. Where strategy is a way in the process toward the goal. The progress of educational institutions today is highly demanded because of the strong flow of competition among educational institutions. Ability to compete with other institutions is a succes of educational institutions or the ability to give trust to the communit. Succes in an educational institution depends on the management applied within an institution. As well as the role of managers in embracing management systems, educational organizations and education planning to become a conducive educational environment. Because if the managed management is so good then the result to be achieved in the education will run effectively and produce a succes. Thus institutionsshould be able to embrace change management strategies in improving the quality of managerial education of Islam well.

The organizational culture of an educational institution should be considered because of the management of a higher education institution, the real relations and positions existing in it. It is characterized by levels of differentiation (division of responsibilities) and ensuring the cohesion of staff (integration), and thus cooperation focused on achieving the goal, which is an indicator of the successful functioning of the educational institution. Organizational culture is defined as a set of norms, values, rules, models of communication that are shared by all employees. The level of development of organizational culture is crucial in ensuring the quality of the educational institution, its efficiency. Solving the problem of developing the organizational culture of the educational institution is an important task of its head. The system-forming factor of university culture can be the core idea or principle, which is mandatory for all research and teaching staff and is manifested in all aspects of the life of the educational institution. At the present stage of development of educational organizations there are distortions - in the hierarchy of goals the leading place is given not to a specific goal, but to receive income from educational activities. This trend is manifested not only in the activities of private educational institutions, but also public ones. Personnel policy of medical institutions of higher education is to focus the way of such educational institutions on ethical goals, liberalism and tolerance, great humanity, the pursuit of justice, independence and individuality, the correct principle of their action and counteraction, self-affirmation, building hierarchy, power, obtaining information and communication, the desire to form social contacts, free expression of opinion, the social benefits of labor and democracy, the desire for security. Ethics is based on norms and principles that determine the behavior of ordinary employees and leaders of educational organizations in relation to society, other organizations, and groups, in relations with each other. Ethical norms outline common values and ethical rules that must be followed by employees of higher education institutions. Ethics rules are created to define the goals of educational organizations, their description, create a favorable ethical atmosphere and outline ethical recommendations in decision-making. Self-respecting educational organizations, that is, for which public opinion about decency and honesty is more important than the desire to increase their profits, define and oblige their employees to adhere to ethical norms. Many educational organizations that value their name now have codes of ethics and guidelines. It helps employees and managers to act and make decisions based on the analysis of ethical standards. Today, the manager in his daily work systematically deals not only with compliance with laws governing educational activities, but also with compliance with ethical requirements that increase the level of responsibility to the environment and society, which is especially important for medical institutions of higher education.
